I could not see any economics jargon there, just a simple explaination of normative statement
Yeah, even what you consider as 'simple' and 'normative' is relative. It doesn't look as such from where I'm sitting.

Are you an economist? If so, please explain in layman terms how choosing not to devalue an already devalued Naira will bring about econmic advancement. I didn't get their explanation of it. Maybe, yours would convey much understanding than theirs.

hahahaha. I totally agree with you,I also found it difficult to grasp the message in this article,we have some really educated personnel in this country with great potential....if only we can stamp out corruption from this country we can become one of the leading countries in the world. We have so much potential here.
I couldn't agree more.

These people should learn how to communicate in layman's terms. Even as educated as I seem to be, I'm grappling with this article.

A kind hearted economists should please break it down for us. Thanks.

Pls expanciate on what you mean by "break me". I am interested in understanding you.
That will require a lengthy expose bro. If you don't understand, my advice is keep cool, one day you will understand.
FamilyRe: Am I Getting Matured Or Unreasonable? Pls Help. by YourCoffin: 12:15pm On Jun 29, 2015
Nothing is wrong with you. All women do that so you won't be stopping anytime soon if you continue that way. They know they have very little to offer you and the only way to make you value them is to break you. If you can't stay alone and desire to stay with a woman, then play along and give them the illusion that she's broken you.

FamilyRe: Nigeria: A Nation Of Wife-beaters? by YourCoffin: 12:11pm On Jun 17, 2015
Frankly, the post smacks too much of sensationalism typical of Nigerian Newspapers. I couldn't go on because at some point the writer in his haste to demonize Nigerian men skidded off the tangent and left the content bereft of any form of convincing power and correlation with the sensationalized title. Too much salt ruins a soup.

Domestic voilence is a very serious issue in Nigeria that needs serious attention. Everybody here apart from the children are unabashed perpetrators of such atrocity. It's therefore, inhumane to treat such subject with careless, thoughtless and unbalanced scribbles as the one witnessed in this post. The writer should have had the dignity to conduct proper research and not sit behind a computer and ignorantly flaunt unrealistic statistics to support this shenanigan of a piece.

I'm sure that if I take the pain to read the whole writeup, I wouldn't find anywhere he offered a single solution to domestic voilence. Just the same old accusation accusation accusation of men from the topic to the end. I abhore pain so I won't attempt to correct myself on that assumption. If I'm wrong then I just became the writer for a micro second.
FamilyRe: From My Heart To Those Men That Beats Their Woman by YourCoffin: 10:35am On May 26, 2015
The day you unshed your shaming tactic and speak logically to the men is the day you'll have them listen to you. But until then you can keep on forcing the left leg into the right shoe, who knows one of the two might eventually conform to the other one day.

Good intent, biased content and bad delivery...

From TV01's comment I think I've an idea of what you guys think is the other problem. I hope I'm wrong though. It's majorly the inconsistency in his line of argument I have a grouse with.

FamilyRe: Women Are Their Worst Enemies by YourCoffin: 8:31am On May 17, 2015
FrancisTony:
Women are their worst enemy is a "chauvinistic/sexist phrase", as MEN are equally their own enemy.

Human rebellion, frailties, imperfection etc is mostly emphasized on, when it's towards female gender.

I agree that women are their worst enemy but I can still give you many instances of men being their own worst enemy.
Nobody would deny that he/she hasn't seen any man envious of his friend's success - politicians comes to my mind.

For example - If Omotola is having a little misunderstanding with Genevieve, the phrase pops up; but when the role is reversed e.g Davido versus Wizkid, tone would change that they are kids instead of men are their worst enemy.
Even on Nairaland, as a female, don't go on threads about successful female celebrities hating, as you'll be bashed with that phrase but MEN are free to hate on male celebrities. Hypocrisy! grin

Well, It's not a gender thing but depends on individuals.
Our society isn't nice towards feminine gender.
What are you saying? Apologies but you're a mass of confusion.

The only thing I see in this piece is bold display of irrationality. It reeks so much of it that irrational dudes makes complete sense out of it.

We no longer have only terms like 'real men' now. We have 'real pleasures' too.

OP, I'm afraid I'm too conversant with this kind of scenario to know you're saying half truth here. You're too saint-like in this your painting and I doubt that the only thing you said was God will judge him.

Although I wouldn't be giving any advice, I detest half truths.

That comes under Communication.
Raiders, I feel it should be separated from communication. It's high time undivided attention was paid to the advancement of IT in the country and the only way to effectively do that is to form its own ministry...

I believe after the scrapping and merging, the following ministries should exist:
1. Defense
2. Foreign Affairs
3.Justice ministry
4. Finance
5. Commerce
6. Energy (merger of petroleum and Power)
7. Works and housing
8. Health
9. Labour
10. Education
11. FCT
12. Aviation
13. Agriculture
14. Communication
15. Internal Affairs
No minister for IT?

This battle has been existence even before it's current form (feminism) was invented and will continue to be existence. The troubling part is that they will always get impaled on poles and burnt alive like they did the witches and goddesses of yore. History it seems eludes a lot of folks and the circle is about to complete its turn...

The mysterious part is Africa is always the spectator...

I like light-skinned women = I hate myself and must have a low self-esteem (according to dark-skinned ladies)

Hain!

It's due to this kind of reasoning that I like light-skinned women. If I had prefered an animal over a woman, I wonder what they would have branded me as: I hate myself again of course...

Well I have some respect for it, that's why we should allow it to die a peaceful death...

Marriage is dying....

...Rather than buy a nice coffin and bury her in it, people chose to keep on applying unnecessary CPR on the bitch...

...the bitch kept on dying and dying and dying...

Please allow her to die na. She has aged gracefully. Allow her to die in peace and let us live in peace too...

Stop the effing resuscitations and write her a moving epitaph instead...
