Family / Re: How Much Is The Cost Of A DNA Paternity Test In Nigerian Hospitals? by YourCoffin: 11:53am On Jan 02, 2021
tutudesz:

A DNA is carried out before a father name written on birth certificate undecided America has the highest amount of Paternity fraud in the world

Yes because the fathers chose not to do the test before appending their names on the certificate
Family / Re: How Much Is The Cost Of A DNA Paternity Test In Nigerian Hospitals? by YourCoffin: 9:17am On Jan 02, 2021
I don't know why Nigerians especially the women see DNA testing as an abomination. It should have been a normal procedure by now. In the US before a father's name is appended on a child's birth certificate, a DNA test is usually carried out. Same thing should be applicable here.

This your comparison of a woman to a car no follow at all. Cars that are constantly being repaired are death traps and new cars are always preferred to old ones. Are you saying these scenarios should be applied to women?

Check your dad's offer letter. It depends on the organization's salary structure. I think the standard is 5 times the sum of basic salary, transportation and housing

Why is your family pressuring the guy for court wedding. Something must be fishy. Any woman insisting on a court wedding from.a man has ulterior motive

Family / Re: Men! We Really Need To Rethink Our Life And Our Trusts! by YourCoffin: 6:48pm On Nov 13, 2020
pocohantas:
Most Nigerians are completely clueless as to how NOK works, so they write those things out of sentiments or availability.

As someone that has seen many people write their NOK, it is a very big lie that most men use their wives. A lot of women do not even know their husbands accounts across banks.

It is indeed very true that most or many women use their kids, who are sometimes minors- which shouldn’t be the case. The rest can use their husbands but actually entrust a lot to their grownup kids, that is why most fraudulent transactions on their accounts are usually perpetrated by their kids, especially their sons.

It is also true that there are a few Nigerian men that use their wives and those ones always do for all the right reasons. They are not the majority.

I have noticed there is a recurring issue of trust in Nigerian marriages- no party is innocent.

That said, NOK is very different from the beneficiary to an estate.

NOK: Someone the bank can reach you through or on matters concerning you (e.g) you decide to slump in the bank.

Beneficiary: Someone that actually receives all or part of the deceased’s estate. It is not automatic.

The NOK can be the beneficiary, but the beneficiary mustn’t be the NOK. Whether you write your spouse or not, they still top the list of your beneficiaries when you die intestate (which is the case with MOST Nigerians). Exceptions apply if the court decides otherwise, you have a will that states otherwise, your village people are stronger than your spouse/kids...etc grin

Not entirely true. I know for a fact that pensions of deceased who died interstate are paid to the NOK. Any other person apart from the NOK will have to get a court order to recieve the funds.

Who you choose as your NOK is very important.

It is better to ban churches and mosques than ban porn. You can't leave the snake(churches & mosques) under your bed to chase after the rat (porn) eating your food.

Na woman opinion so it won't be factual. Men prefer properties to children yet we see stories of men fighting their ex-wifes just to see their kids and women fighting their ex-husbands over properties. Case of reverse psychology.

Oga next time don't copy and paste. Show us that you at aleast went to school. Nonsense

Oga go medical school first before writing non-sense. How can masturbation make you gain weight? If you are not balancing it with a good diet, it could cause underweight not overweight.

Family / Re: Nigerian Men Talk About Vasectomies by YourCoffin: 10:28am On Sep 22, 2020
Good luck to those who want to mutilate their Gbola. I cherish mine the way it is. Besides, a new study has also revealed that vasectomy increases the risk of prostate cancer in men.

Since black men are more prone to prostate cancer than other races, I don't think any black man should be considering vasectomy. The white men that always find ways to kill themselves can have it.

Since neither of your family have the time for business, just invest the money in mutual funds. It's a low risk investment that is regulated by SEC. Just put it there and go about your business.

Family / Re: Court Marriage : Why Are Some Women So Desperate And Bent On It. by YourCoffin: 6:54pm On Aug 20, 2020
Wingarnium:
See eh, any man that blatantly opposes court wedding is a red flag for me. How will I not be legally married to someone? I know I'm not interested in divorce, in fact I never pray for my enemy to experience it. I just want to be legally married to the love of my life what is there?. There are rules of the land and what's there to lose. In fact I'm thinking only court wedding sef and then honeymoon. The drama involved with all this traditional wedding is too much and expensive. You will need an evidence of marriage if u wanna apply for visa. In fact it even protects your children. God forbid if the husband dies how u want prove say u be the wife?. All this traditional marriage certificate is not valid. All his properties and everything would be taken and the wife and kids would be left with nothing. It's just funny why a lot of people oppose it. I mean as a wife I'm gonna do change of name and pick up his surname, so why wouldn't he wanna marry me the legal way. Men that would fornicate would fornicate whether they do court or not. So I don't understand why they oppose it. This is from my own perspective sha. It's just a wise thing to do. If my boo is refusing it, then it is a red flag oo

Men also want to protect themselves. They oppose it because they want to live longer and we don't do autopsy here.
