ADMAF:Very true. Though the author may sincerely mean no harm but for a fact, it is demeaning. The tone is bad. We do get the message but it doesn't worth this publicity and I think the mode should vet it. |
oyatz:Lol on shamelessness. |
T9ksy:It's just a matter of time. Nothing lasts forever. Hopefully, it shall happen in your time. |
Iblad0994:You're still stuck with the wrong narrative that nothing I say can change your line of thought. Out of the several coup carried out in Nigeria, only one has a tribe attached to it. Isn't that deliberate? The way you sound is quite annoying. Despite the fact that that first coup had other tribes as active participants, you still hanged it on Igbos. Coups everywhere are carried out by military personnel but for your likes, that coup was an Igbo coup. Everyone knows that any action has an opposite reaction which in the case of humans may not be equal but we must be sincere to apportion blames to the appropriate quarters. Your hate still surfaced when you included Ojukwu as one of those that stopped Adaka Boro's secession. Where was Ojukwu then and what was his rank? What role did he play? I'm not interested in any dick measurement with Yorubas because both groups have achieved a lot and deserve some respect. However, the deliberate attempt of majority of your type in Yorubaland to profile Ndigbo and ensure that the evil narrative and the subsequent oppressive treatment meted on us will be challenged by Igbos like me and believe me we are in millions. You and the rest of your likes both in Yorubaland and other tribes in Nigeria can never win. No matter the cost, we will explore it and bet me, if it degenerates to violence again, it will spell doom for the negriod people. If you're not comfortable with Igbos, then support their secession and build your Nigeria with those you're comfortable with. However, if you insist on denying and worst still continue to negatively represent us to the world then you will get what you deserve. Our youth are fully aware of what your likes are doing and we will give it back to you in full measure. Our nation is a great one and in due time, we shall bring forth our own unique contribution to humanity. None of your likes can stop us. |
ConqueredWest:Lol. I dey where I dey. Happy to hear from you. I never show but any time I enter, you go know. I dey feel for una o. The cattleman for Asorock don finish the economy. How far? |
Iblad0994:If not that you're blinded by hate you would have seen that the eastern region did all they could to remain in Nigeria where the lives of her people are valued. They went to Aburi and had an agreement only for Gowon to fail in keeping to the terms. It doesn't matter to you that tens of thousands of easterners were being murdered in cold blood as at that time. You asked why the Nzeogwus carried out a lopsided coup and you feel that a pogrom is justified in that instance. Your types deserve no mercy because of how unreasonable you are. Nigeria must choose one between the two: give Igbos their rightful place in Nigeria or divided the hellhole. You can't keep us as you deem fit. Something must give way. The envy and jealousy your type have for us can't stop us. We are a blessed people and it's evident to all. May you choke on your hate. |
Watch how Yorubas will not make a fuss out of the highly connected kidnapper from Taraba but if it were to have happened in any SE states, they will be beaming the news all over social media and accusing all SEners of being criminals. |
ImperialYoruba:I'll come back for you evil vermin whose hatred is glaring to all. |
gwama:Glad to meet my first Ivorian. I've met Burkinabes. |
gwama:You're correct. Which country are you from if I may ask? |
alizma:What he said is the truth. Black SAns are very traumatized and their society has been torn from the relics of apartheid. Originally, they're not much different from other Africans but this blight called 'apartheid has done damages. The question is: for how long shall they continue to show the symptoms of the trauma? They're creating more problems for themselves. They need to wake up and see that nothing is holding them down again but themselves. What stops an average SAn from being a professional doctor or nurse or Engineer and mass producing such people to the point of exporting them? You have the schools and the support of government. What's the problem? |
baby124:Zulus didn't fight with bow and arrows. It was basically with Spears and club-like weapons. They were deadly because Shaka was able to unite majority of the Nguni tribes to form one big nation and organize them to a national army as at then. Talk about an African tribe having a standard army of more than 15,000 men well trained in warfare and ready for combat at any time in the 19th century. Only few African tribes had such organization that time. Not to forget his famous 'Bull horn' formation. Fighting among Africans was haphazard without formations but Shaka was able to surmount this. This was the secret of the Zulus. |
GodDeyCraze:It seems you're insane. Never you call the great Mandela a terrorist. He was a freedom fighter respected by all races for his lofty achievement. His strategy was a stick and carrot approach and it worked so well only for his successors to fail the people woefully. You're forgiven for this blunder. |
tiger28:See how pathetic you are! Tribalism is deeply rooted in you and can never be removed. Despite all the information reeled out on social media, you still cling to this prejudicial thinking. This is why Nigeria as it is can never work. The hatred and envy some of your kinsmen have surpass any other positive qualities they possess. Shame on you. |
justtoodark:That is SA for you. The murder rate there is high and worst still, the young men won't protest against this. No single foreigner is involved in these (rape associated) killings. Can any SA guy explain this? From my findings after interviewing lots of women, I can say that about half the number of black women over there have been raped at one point in their lives mostly by a relative. The family system there has been shattered hence the society seems to be in a sort of social chaos. It's a big problem. |
Gandollaar:You say your take is that they're trying to save for the future of their children but this is certainly not true. See, the real thing here is simply hate of foreigners coupled with poverty. The area in SAs economy that foreigners dominate is the retail sector. Manufacturing sector is dominated by South Africans mostly the whites and Indians. The skilled jobs sector is still dominated by South Africans mostly the blacks and coloured who work under companies. Few foreigners can be found here because lots of policies are there to preserve these jobs for citizens hence foreigners with skills mostly start their little workshops and build it to bigger volumes making more money than salary earners. Retail trading and smaller services rendering businesses is where foreigners have cashed in big. This is where most South Africans get confused because they think it's not fashionable plus they shy away from facing the resilience required to run and grow such businesses. Now, for foreigners taking their women, it's quite laughable. See an average South African feels no foreigner is entitled to their women. This is certainly not possible except where there's no interaction. Contact brings rapport which in turn grows to intimate relationships especially when money is being spent. A typical South African guy will like you if you declare drinks for him and lots of girls to enjoy themselves but when you demand for one of those girls his countenance will change. There's a particular incident like that where the SA guy lied to a Nigerian that a particular girl was his friend and therefore should be free to entertain them only for the Nigerian guy to spend a lot of money buying drinks and when it was time to go, the SA guy started to torment trouble claiming the girl was his girlfriend and that they were even cohabiting. That was quite annoying so the Nigerian played his own game too by offering to give the girl R2000 if she would follow him. The SA guy started crying. It was a spectacular sight. The girl was willing to follow the Nigerian guy. This is one of such scenarios there. You'll never hear that a foreigner raped any SA girl; why is that? Because everything is done by choice yet they lament. Instances are numerous that can't be exhausted. Deep in their townships, foreigners mostly Somalians and Ethiopians own grocery shops then you ask why they couldn't run it themselves and there's no reason they can give you. Who's to blame for this? |
Starboytwo:Lol. I'll try my best to give you an average description of a black SA male as I noticed days yonder. They are quite simple looking and moving without sense of urgency. They're quite calm and speak less with those who don't speak the local language. They're easily intimidated by others if they noticed you've just one point ahead of them not minding that he might be better than the other in another way. He doesn't like competition and will quickly resort to fatal violence to end it. He enjoys having fun with everyone especially drinks and food. When it comes to women, they're quite uncooperative with foreigners maybe because he thinks you'll get the girls ahead of him. As for work, they prefer the non skill labour jobs. The more mental demanding the job, the less they like it. Buying and selling in big shops requiring keeping stocks of numerous logistics and transactions are not attractive to them. They prefer salary jobs with less risks. They are less religious and but believe in their local superstitions. They love their culture and traditions so much that I believe they're willing to give up this present modernization for the ways of their ancestors. They don't fancy academics and not interested in academic debates. Life for them should be basic and fun filled with little or no responsibilities. Getting a woman pregnant without the intention of shouldering the cost is the norm. Is there any facet I didn't cover? |
Privateschoolre:This author is saying rubbish trying to deflect the real issue which is xenophobia and criminality. He's trying to bring another twist to it which will worsen the situation. Drug cartels no doubt are very visible and annoying but all nationals do the trade openly with the SA police looking the other way because they've been compromised. Same thing happened in Cape town last month where the SANDF was brought it to fight the situation. Everyone must disregard this author because he has another aim in his mind which I've seen through. Do you know some SA xenophobes made announcement of evicting foreign truck drivers who they said took their jobs and that they would block the highways and do the needful. This was just last week. Thankfully, it was nipped in the bud. Xenophobia is very alive in SA and the worsening economic situation occasioned by corruption from government officials precipitate it's recurring occurrence. |
It's sad what's happening to Africans. Truth be told; this is not the way to go. Attacking SA businesses in Nigeria is not right but how else do you pass the message across to SA that no one has a monopoly of violence? Unfortunately, the culprits involved in those attacks in SA are not in any way affected by these attacks by Nigerians. I lay the blame squarely on the SA government who has failed to see the bigger picture. A lot of SA government officials believe that African foreigners are messing up the country and should be flushed out. They should be bold enough to be open about it by announcing publicly the ejection of Africans and damn the consequence instead of this backyard theatrics. A good number of SA citizens do not support this madness but they are powerless before their government. Julius Malema has been in the forefront of speaking out against xenophobia particularly Afrophobia and I think other Africans shouldn't be quick to blacklist SA. I want to also blame the Nigerian government for this particular escalation of the situation. Delay in issues like this portends danger like we see now. If the Nigerian government had reacted earlier, the SA government would have shamelessly curtailed the level of the fracas. As at now, no one can tell how this will end and Africa is not prepared for this madness seeing how poor we are. We're the worst continent at present in need of cohesion and development not division and bad blood. Where are the Mandelas of our day? Where are the Ghaddafis and Nkrumahs? Shame on Black people! |
Unik3030:It's better you shut up if you're not sure of what's happening. The xenophobic bunch don't care what ethnic group or nationalities you belong to as long as you're not one of them, you're game. Crime is endemic in SA with the chunk of it perpetrated by South Africans themselves. The problem here is that foreigners tend to live large and are conspicuous with wealth from such proceeds than South Africans which they hate. Foreigners who are drug addicts and homeless are not attacked because there's nothing to gain from such people but when you're up and doing then you become a target. Some South Africans are seriously against this but majority seem to see these attacks as the solution to their numerous problems. After they succeed in killing and chasing out other Africans, they'll will have succeeded in alienating themselves from us and as their problem persist, will turn on one another. All these multinational companies from SA are owned by the whites who mostly keep their monies away from SA government to avoid stories that touch. It's a going to be a tough one for them. As for the foreigners that are being attacked, let them brace up for any eventualities. It seems SA government doesn't care anymore. The best people to stop this madness is the various governments of other African countries. They're should each send representatives to the SA government demanding for reasons and applying sanctions where possible. SA is making a big mistake. |
Kuchiele:But he wasn't a terrorist. He fought for the rights of his people. |
colestephan86:Lol. You're a kid. I won't waste my time on you. My views about Biafra predated Nnamdi Kanu or even IPOB. I still express my views here when I disagree with Maxi Nnamdi Kanu himself. That Igbos have no kings is a very true maxim. We don't worship men but stand behind one who truly represents our utmost aspirations. This is what put Nnamdi above other leaders from our region. He's a bit brash and that appeals to the youth. Older people are a bit more withdrawn. Youths like me fear no war with the evil contraption. All we seek for is an able ally then you shall see what we're talking of. Let Biafra go peacefully and enjoy yourselves in Nigeria. See the rubbish country someone is defending. Shame. Travel out and see. |
Lol. See how they dedicate all their time discussing IPOB matters as though the freedom fighting group has killed even one person. Non of these slaves have ever open one thread to condemn a world renowned terrorist group namely the infamous 'fulani herdsmen. This terrorist group has murdered thousands and rendered hundreds of thousands homeless and they've kidnapped hundreds collecting ransoms worth over a billion naira yet IPOB is there problem. We're scattered all over the world boldly bearing our insignia with any innocent person feeling threatened by us. No government save the crass failure of the shithole has labelled us a terrorist group. You judge for yourself who now is more delusional. I'm very objective in my views and approach to issues. I challenge any one of you to a debate here on Nairaland on the topic of Nigeria and the way forward; whether disintegration is the best solution or not. There, our cerebral capacity will be exposed for all to see. IPOB is a formidable group whose sole purpose is to see to the establishment of Biafra for the safety and progress of Biafrans and their friends. Nigeria is a failed country and does not show any capacity to be alive. Ten years from now will be worse off than today for majority of you. Mark this comment. Poverty will be more than 90% and the life of an average Nigerian will be cheaper than the life of a dog because more Nigerians will be killed per day than the number of dogs killed therein. We are watching. |
colestephan86:I will never waste my time trying to teach you because your ignorance, arrogance and naivety oozes from miles away. Your type is the worst of all people who delight in basking under suffering. It was for men like you that the Jamaican reggae legend sang the classic song titled 'I tried. He said "the more penalization is upon their back, the more foolish they become.... the more victimization is upon their back, they're satisfied lot for less". You're so used to oppression and suffering that it has become a way of life to you. For us, we shall push on adding pressure and fighting the oppressors until respite comes our way. You and your likes will never enjoy the freedom we seek. You shall live and die like the slave you enjoy to be. See millions of your young men doing fraud and illicit activities despite the huge volumes of wealth surrounding them. Politicians have failed them with fake promises hence the desperate involvement in such evil schemes. Enough of my sermon... To each his own. |
colestephan86:Lol. You guys will always have something negative to say about anyone who challenges the useless order of the evil contraption. There's nothing wrong with a revolution which was championed by one who lost an election. Isn't this what you guys have been asking Nnamdi Kanu to do all these years? We can clearly see you for who you are. You asked Nnamdi Kanu to form a political party and challenge the system if he was serious. This is what Sowore did; now what excuse do you have against him? I've never seen such rubbish people as the Nigerian youths. We all know that the politics and governance in the shithole is totally flawed and needs immediate overhaul but will never rise up against it. Worst still, we join hands with the oppressors to condemn those who dare try. Tufiakwa! After a deep thinking, I realized something and it is this. " Run away from people who ALWAYS give reasons why something cannot be done or achieved". This has further galvanized my push for Biafra. Anything that will keep my people away from such people is a must do at any cost. |
PassingShot:You're certainly not thorough in your criticism. Ask yourself what gives Nazi Kanu so much confidence to dare such a thing. Hatred has blocked your reasoning capacity hence your confusion. An impostor certainly will never have confidence like the real person. If that guy is Buhari, no one can attempt that on him. Alas, he hid himself to avoid any situation that can lead to the exposure of the closely kept secret. You guys are all simpletons. Lol |
1StopRudeness:Agreed Nigeria is finished. Do we then fold our hands and wait to be slaughtered like chickens? I'll like to see how other Nigerians will be begging for their lives after Igbos and nearby ethnic groups go away with Biafra. As for us, our mind is made up; Biafra or Chaos all over Nigeria. We CAN NEVER SUCCUMB to terrorists in our ancestral lands. Tufiakwa! |
oyatz:Firstly, I'm not a tribalist and will never be. I've spent considerable time in the three major regions in Nigeria and understand the languages there. My submission is based on live experiences I encountered during my stay and other inferences from various exchanges both on and offline. That majority of Yorubas want Igbos to just feel satisfied with the demeaning position they were forced into is not contestable. Secondly, why is it only Igbos you guys always use this phrase for "respect your host". Why do you guys kick against Ezendigbo in your province but have your own obas in other regions and keep mum with the Hausas having 'Sarki' in your various domain? Thirdly, it's your people that are in the forefront of kicking against establishing anything that will stimulate economic development in the Eastern region while turning around to ask easterners to leave your region. Talk about the media war waged against us from over two decades that I can count and it's still raging. Finally, it baffles me how you of all people will tag Igbos with inferiority complex against Yorubas. I won't want to mock Yorubas but the truth is obvious before everyone. Is it in the average looks of both people or in their physique? Is it in their cuisine and value systems? Or is it in their intellect and ingenuity? I will certainly not deny Yorubas of their achievements. They are one of the best Africa has to offer when it comes to achievement but so are the Igbos. Countless threads have been discussed here to buttress these achievements so I'll skip it. But for other areas, leave it my guy. Igbos have no one to feel inferior to in Nigeria and the world over. If their are any group of people that have so impressed us to warrant having such a feeling, it should be the Europeans. But alas, we don't even feel inferior before them. We acknowledge their cerebral exploits and captured it in this statement: 'bekee bu agbara'. It loosely translates to; the European is an idol (not to be worshipped but) because of the solutions he can prefer which defies what we know. As such we strive to be like them and even better. We don't feel inferior to anyone. Let me stop here for now. Don't ever mention Igbos feeling inferior to Yorubas again. It's an insult! |
chennaija:You know them very well. |
chennaija:Lol. This is exactly what some Yorubas want the Igbos to become in Nigeria. To be so subservient that we would queue behind them as they bow before the fulani terrorists. Unfortunately for them, Igbos by creation were not wired like that. We are hard set to refuse and resist subjugation; it is incompatible with our being. See Joe Igbokwe speaking from the core of his being unlike today. It is true that some will fall away as the frustration rises but millions of others will rise to resist it. We're just too big for the domination Nigeria planned against us. We're suffering at present and still fighting it. Some day, we shall get it right with an ally that will neutralize the back up Nigeria has. That day hell will let loose. I won't care about ICJ will say of my actions. For every killings my people have suffered in Nigeria shall be tripled against our foes. All the rapings and arson. Well, let time roll by as we prepare ourselves. It shall never remain like this forever. |
michelz:Your last paragraph is a blatant lie. Nothing as such is found among us any more. States don't matter here. I'm a member of IPOB and I did state my mind on this issue. I emphatically said that I have a mix feelings about it particularly for the person involved. Ekweremadu may not have done like we expected of him but his loyalty is definitely not in doubt. Tearing his clothes was a bit overboard where grilling under intense pressure would have passed a better message saving some narratives. Alas, the deed has been done and all parties left to study the lessons that came with it. For Ekweremadu, he now knows that his people are ANGRY with him over issues on securing the lives of the common man. How do you comfortably travel thousands of kilometres to go celebrate while your backyard is being ravaged by terrorists? This is the main bone of contention which many have glossed over. Our mothers can't go to farms over fear of rape. Our priests attacked and killed for speaking against the injustice in the land. Our so called representatives need to wake up. If it were for persons like Rochas or Orji Kalu, personally I'll hit them. These ones are totally sellouts. Their blood aren't any precious than that of the common Biafran man. I believe Ekweremadu himself has got the message, personally I'll say to him; sorry but no sorry. He understands. We value everyone of our people. Speak out against the intimidation and killings going on in our lands. |

??Shey SA be no man's land too
