golamike: I always wonder if "bless you" are the right words to say to an individual who sneezes around you. I don't know if it's a Nigerian thing or it's universal. Most of the time, i just keep quiet rather than say "bless you" because i'm not comfortable using those words. I don't know if i'm the only one who thinks those words are not really suitable for that situation. Please, does anyone think like me?? Which word(s) do you consider more appropriate??

I say 'Bless you' as well, 'Salud' to Hispanics. Why would anyone keep quiet when a person sneezes around them? That's not nice.

I am in a relationship 4yrs on. My girl has cheated on me more than once before she told me about it, promising not to repeat it again. I love her so much desiring to settle down with her, this i told her many times. I assisted her through school inspite of the fact she doesn't allow me touch her as much i wanted to, claiming it's a sin. it turned out that a guy was b á nging her seriously all through the night, i even rec ó rded it to make sure i wasn't dreaming. I later confronted her, but she denied it.
When she came back from service in October, she finally told me it was true what i heard the other night, that a fellow corper actually sl é pt with herthat night. It really broke my heart as i really loved her and she has cheated many times before and she starves me of s é x, saying it's a sin. Now, she says she has changed and won't do it again.
I need some candid advice, will such a woman make a good wife cos am planning on settling down with her this year. Would she do it again if given the opportunity??

I feel terrible for you. You seem like a great guy in love. This girl does not deserve you. Its feasible that she used you to get through University and now, she's done with you. Sorry about that! Nothing hurts like unappreciative foo.ls in one's life.

Wow!! That's messed up.

Seems like its a new relationship, but as time goes on, he may take it down. He should put those pictures in a folder. Like a personal album for the son to see pictures of his parents together if he wants to. Honestly, I think its wrong to keep old pictures on the walls now that you're in his life. The earlier the son gets the memo that his parents are no longer together, the better.

I did a summer internship with a Recruitment Agency for Energy companies.

Don't they use filters to sift resumes in Nigeria?? How can anyone read all those resumes? The recruitment part of HR sucks. I used to sit all day reading resumes and marking them for calls. The secret to job-hunting is getting your resume noticed by using the exact keywords on the job listing online. I gets my attention because its specific to what the job entails. There are times when I'll submit resumes for review, the job seeker comes in for an interview and is rejected. Then I need to start the process all over again.

Global HR or HR Generalist is not a bad career at all! A lil too demanding.

Why would anyone prefer a union that someone else arranges? We would prefer first meetings by ourselves and directly. Well, I think its okay when close friends/family recommend someone they think is compatible with you, but not 'force' you to marry that person. Some working professionals struggle with finding significant others because of work schedules, time, etc. That's another reason for the growing success of dating sites. Depends on the extent of arrangement done.

Works for some people though. Can't judge!
