manontree: Rubbish. Marriage is this, marriage is that yet week in week out thousands are getting married. Am I missing something here? If it's that bad why are thousands or even millions getting married. Social media has swamped the institution to the extent that the few bad cases are highlighted and scorned making people think marriage is hell
It is not. Simply marry with no intention to scam your spouse. It is a continuous work in progress for both and approach it with the spirit of give and take and NOT me me me
Also make sure you do not jump into marriage with anyone that catches your fancy. Avoid using looks, wealth and dress sense as a basis which a lot of ladies live and hang by. Character trumps all these. Marry someone with good character and every other would be added onto you
Finally what you expect from your spouse, be that character first This is just sweet. This is just like me typing my heart out. I imagine how life would have been if I had married my ex slay queen. Perhaps I would have countered what you wrote here, but I chose character over looks. I got married to a girl who doesn't earn even much , yet I've been living like my earnings increased more than twice of what I used to earn when I was single. Marry a good person, that's all. |

Seuntek: poultry will affect my teaching job. As for restaurant, even if i boil water, it won't get hot Lol at the hot water joke. Poultry wouldn't really affect your job if you plan well. I'm a construction worker -an architect precisely, so you should know how busy I am, but still at that, I used to keep birds. You have the weekend to clean up your farm. As for feeding, they don't feed like humans, three separate meals is a no-no. Don't let them exhaust their feed before giving them another, else they wouldn't grow and you'd be at a loss trying to make up at the latter stage. Just give them enough feed and water early before you leave for work. Ensure it's enough to last them until you get back. You will eventually find out the stress isn't that much as some people often say, you'll end up enjoying raising birds. I only stopped that business because the women who patronize me stopped pricing well because their target costumers were mainly students who in turn were not buying well. I couldn't afford to run a charity, it wasn't because I didn't have time for the business. |

Character matters most, I once dated a girl right from her University days until she started working. She had a very good job, a highly paid job but still, all I got from her throughout, from the beginning till the end of the relationship was asking, asking and asking for money, money and more money. Now I'm married to a girl who teaches in a secondary school. We know their average pay is nothing to write home about, but with her support, I feel like I'm earning more than twice the amount I used to earn when I was single. There are good girls out there, marry one and you'll be alright las las. |

Aplaudez: The truth is you guys ain't understanding yourselves, if truly she's your wife and she's the mother of your daughter, create a very sweet environment, you can even take her out and sit her down and talk things out!
I'm not happy you couldn't caution yourself, what's done is done, please try to caution yourself next time!
God bless your family! Bad people are bad people, some may change though, but many only for a while. She might have been a material girl, a very beautiful girl from a very poor home before the husband met her. She might have changed and fallen in love when she felt she had met some one who could ' take care of her needs '. Notice I said 'might' because these are probabilities, but if they are facts then it seems she has reached her tolerance limit. Such people only understand one language ; Money and more money. There's nothing any 'sit her down and talk things out' can do to change them. They are not reasonable like normal people. They will dump Dangote for the next richer man. They just need more..... Money. |

boookworm: Then this disease is not half as deadly as the media has portrayed it.. So I hope you can now see why people are no longer scared of it. It's less potent in Nigeria and that's something NCDC won't tell us I repeat, it's fatality rate is low, I presumed with the wealth of credible information available a lot of persons would have known this fact long before it came into the country but no, people go ahead saying annoying things like 'it is a scam'. Would we rather have our old parents or young friends with underlying health conditions die just because the virus would have little or no effect on the young healthy ones amongst us if infected? Think about it. Safe bro. |

I am so sure there will be countless numbers of people like that who doesn’t even understand why they are there, but they are just there ignorantly believing they have the virus.... One thing you guys should know is you mustn't drop dead or fall sick once you have the virus. It's not a death sentence. It's fatality rate is low. There are a lot of positive persons who have it, are "healthy" and do not know, yet such persons are harmful to others. |

At first, when a friend invited me to like the page, I was a bit skeptical just because of the name. I hate online quarrels, for that singular reason I hardly subscribe to any group online, but since I joined that group it turned out to be the best group I ever joined. It's fun, almost free of inciting tribal/religious posts, but have a very few set of persons always going off in the comments section. I think it's that set she was referring to. |

Please spare me your sermon. Bros, Then your post would have carried a different topic so as to attract the attention of people who share common interest with you on such topics. Maadoo: This picture is for none igbos especailly ignorant untravelled Afon, who assumes that igbos show pictures of only rich areas and not where the ordinary man lives.
Now, zoom and look through the picture below, what do you see? A forest right? Yes! That’s what it is. Those are the ordinary citizens. They buy land, build their taste, and before you know it, the whole place organically forms a collection of beautiful looking residential buildings. This is not a GRA, it’s just different individuals Who bought the land years back, probably when it was cheaper and now ready to build their homes.
Some of these areas don’t even have good roads, but trust that the neighborhood and buildings are dope. It is after a long time government remembers them, to build their road and drainage. In some places, the landlord contribute to build their roads...
This is why igbos are called DEVELOPERS. Changing the landscape of anywhere they find themselves, with real estate development.
If you come back here in 5yrs time to snap pictures, when most of this place would have been developed, you will think it’s an estate or Gra, naaaa! It isn’t. It’s just a hood. Your topic is different from what you just wrote here. I've traveled quite around the country, I'd say something similar and even more to what you wrote if I'm asked to describe my experience about the east, but how do you guys feel turning every topic of discussion into tribal/religious fights? From bicycle ride to this? |

let's be guided. I don't think the figures are inflated. You don't know the number of infected persons by the number of sick people you see or the number of deaths. The virus isn't as fatal as so many think, but it spreads super fast and the faster it spreads the more deaths recorded. I believe there are a lot of 'healthy' untested people roaming with the virus who do not even know they're positive. |

evansjeff: Recently I've been very bothered about myself. I'm a guy of around 30 but some things that still worry my heart is really disturbing. I will start like this.
1. Something embarrassing happened some time last year when I travelled home for visit. They bought a goat and was looking for who to kill it, me knowing I'm the most senior man at home jejely went into ghost mode, everyone started looking for me, in the end I had to come out but shamelessly told them I can't kill it. They had to call a 16 year old opposite neighbour to do it while my younger ones helped him hold the goat. I couldn't even stand the sight of seeing the goat struggling for life while receiving knife in the throat. I left there immediately.
2. You might think it's normal for goat until I tell you that I can't kill a chicken or rat, last Christmas, I badly wanted to buy a life chicken because I beleive it's more healthy, but who will kill it? Bae was around, I don't want any embarrassment so I jejely bought frozen chicken . There is a wall gecko strolling around my room for weeks now, but I can't kill it, it becomes embarrassing any time I have a visitor
3. The most recent is, there are two birds trying to build a house in my lobby, I kept destroying the house but they didn't give up, it got to a point, I felt bad for the poor birds, what if they don't have a house? what if I'm the one building a house with all my strength and government keeps destroying it? I had to leave them to build. My neighbour said he killed the birds that tried doing that in his house but me can i do that? No. i just tire.
4. Lastly, When travelling and there's an accident, people rush out to watch but I dare not else the trauma will remain for months, I can't stand the sight of blood and body cuts.
Any time I think about killing an animal, I ask myself, what if I'm the one being held by boko haram or killer herdsmen and about to be slaughtered? How excruciating the pain can be.
Any time I think about crushing a cockroach, I ask myself, what if I'm the one trying to cross the high way and dangote trailer crushes me?
So guys, am I normal? Do I need to see a doctor or a psychologist? All the while I was reading, I was saying in my heart 'this one is just like me', until it got to the cockroach part........ Kriiiiiiii. Na so I match brake. |
Romance › Re: My Girlfriend Physically Assaulted Me Over My Own Money !! Help!! by zedman1(m): 3:06am On May 15, 2020 |
ken711: I have been dating a girl for about 18 months now. Very pretty but my brothers, let me tell you... Look before you leap when it comes to pretty girls.
From the minute I met this girl it has been one money request after another. If it was small sums I guess I wouldn't really mind, as I have always worked for blue chip companies and can afford it. The thing is, her requests are always very big!.....20k this, 20K that.....but my brothers, I have to tell you the one that has made me even disappointed in myself.
She lives with her parents and they are the most dysfunctional family I have ever heard of... Everyday one person is fighting the other, and this my girlfriend, as fine as she is, is the most arrogant, prideful, violent & rude person I have ever met. She hounded me everyday that I must get her an apartment of her own, so she can escape her home, and I agreed to but by saving monthly.
Would you believe, one night, when she was working at a bar as an usher for guinness, she gave her number to 2 different men just because of this apartment. My spirit kept telling me that she gave her number out, but she kept lying...only for me to catch her texting one of the men when we were at church of all places.......
She even went as far as going to meet this rich man at a hotel, but the man ran away when she made that request, and I as a fool decided to finally do it for her. (I suspect she cheated on me that night and I always tell it to her face because she has cheated on me twice before)
I live on the Island and tried to get her to rent here as well, as I really want to keep an eye on her..... She has too many guys around her who live in that area and she is this kind of person who cheats out of revenge, even over small things.....this girl refused and threatened to break things off!....bro, as a mumu I sent the money to her to rent the place and for other things, about 400K.....
Ever since that money left my account, it's like my eyes cleared!!! I couldn't believe that instead of saving my hard earned money, I went and sent it to a girl that has cheated on me twice (or even more), lied to me, slapped me and done so many things.....but I just decided to leave everything for God, seeing as she was desperate.
The problem now is that the demands for that apartment is now becoming too much!!! The expenses just to get the place finished are such a burden on my financial and mental state...
The worst happened about two days ago, she wanted me to pay 20k. Infact I just got so tired of bills that I kinda was stalling on it, but what happened next truly shocked me. Would you believe this girl started punching me, slapping me and even tore my shirt cos of 20k. She even threatened to break my office laptop (working from home) until I sent the money, after that she left........
Now she is trying to apologize so that I will pay for bed and gas and the remaining things....my brothers, I know u will say am a fool!...I accept...I am a handsome guy, studied abroad, I just don't know why loneliness made me fall in love with such a sadistic user... My only problem is, do I pay for the bed and just finish what I started or just free the whole thing and the nearly 500K I have already spent...
Please help! It's only people who have never dated a very beautiful broke girl or people who have extra strong heart that will ridicule you when you tell them such stories. Such relationships are very difficult to let go of. You try to leave, you can't and she wouldn't let you go either. It's like you're under a spell. Of the few girls I dated before I got married, it's the most beautiful, the very beautiful broke girl that made me go through hell. It's like they're all the same, our stories are all the same. Each time any guy writes bad things about their girl friends here, I see them writing about my ex. |

And some people will say what about mysterious deaths in the North and I'll say did anyone conduct autopsy to confirm that it's Covid 19 that killed them all? Or have people not been dying mysteriously before the coming of Covid? Isn't it funny that all deaths in Nigeria are now attributed to Covid 19?
