Just watched the interview PMB was on point.

How can the interviewer try to ambush Mr President in middle of an interview by asking him to view a clip she culled from youtube, that is unverified?

Buhari should stop attending interviews with Al Jazeera, their interviews are too hostile.
Typical Nigerian 'a$$licking mentality'. You don't know that it is the job of journalists to confront political leaders with tough questions? You think Aljazeera is NTA? A president who knows what he is doing should be presenting himself for 'grilling' because he knows that accountability should always be his watchword
Politics › Re: Buhari Refuses To Watch The Shooting Of Unarmed Pro-Biafran Protesters (video) by zendy: 10:14pm On Mar 05, 2016
Buhari is truly an embarrassment on a global scale. He kept telling the Aljazeera journalist that she knows more about the budget than he does. How can a president not know his own budget? When the journalist asked him if he wants to see the video footage of The Nigerian Army and Police shooting unarmed IPOB protesters in Aba, he flatly refused to do so. How can a president in a democracy on a global media like Aljazeera refuse to see evidence of a crime being commited by his armed forces? A concerned president would be demanding to see it. He then concluded by saying that his government will not tolerate Biafra or anyone who subscribes to it.

My take on Buhari is that he should have stayed in Daura tending his cattles than coming back to be president. He has an old, rigid and analoge way of thinking. He simply doesn't understand the dynamics of Nigeria. Buhari is a disaster of a man and president

I'm a northerner, precisely from kano state(tumbin giwa). And it saddened my heart when I heard that yorubas and the Hausa community in Lagos had a brutal face off as reported by some mainstream newspapers. And instead of these mainstream newspapers to call for calm and peace with their publications, the were(are) busy promoting the ethnic clash with their one sided baseless reports. One of the newspaper even reported that security agencies were backing and protecting one group. What a shame. So is the newspaper telling us that northerners are they only people found in our security agencies?
Why have we suddenly forgotten or choose to forget that in every tribe, religion in Nigeria, there are some sizable numbers of social delinquents and degenerates who are law breakers? How will any sane mind try to turn this "clash of the hoodlums" as a Yoruba and northerners face off? The agberos had a clash with the nuisances that called themselves okada riders/ keke-drivers, how does this translate into a Hausa/Yoruba crisis? Why are people desperately and dangerously trying to score a very cheap political point with this unfortunate event?

I'm a northerner and I strongly condemn any kind of hostility unleashed by any tribe on another tribe no matter the amount of provocation(s). We should always be humans first before any other thing. Ransacking of shops, unnecessary killings are totally wrong in all sense of responsibility. I don't care who started what or how the entire fracas started, the Lagos started government should take up its responsibility and bring all the perpetrators to justice no matter who they are. The yorubas I know are law abiding citizens and accommodative people and my Hausa brothers are friendly and respectful people, we shouldn't allow this act of insanity by some miscreants and thugs take over our sanity. We should always allow peace to reign and be a fundamental way of our everyday lives. Peace brings progress and development while chaos and crisis bring nothing but retrogression and destruction. Nothing good ever comes out in crisis and chaos.

And please people should stop rejoicing over unfortunate events like this, rather people should always call for calm in situations like this no matter the part of the divide you belong.

God bless us all
Tell us more about how your fellow northerners slaughtered over 50,000 Igbos, men, women and children in 1966. That's a good place to start don't you think?

What is happening is not anti-graft war. You don't fight corruption only by arresting a couple big names just to make news headlines. Anti-graft war is when all the loop holes to embezzle money are identified and plugged. What is happening right now is just 'debt recovery'. People are still stealing under Buhari just as much as they did under GEJ so where is the anti-graft war?

These questions are for the SS/SE people and some parts of the lower Benue who have not yet lost their sense of self determination. The rest are just slaves of Lugard, and by extension, the Sokoto caliphate.

You free to seek self determination. Anyone can. But it has to be through legal means. You cannot distort the current corporate entity by protesting, terrorism and abuse on other ethnic groups in Nigeria.

Also, IPOB is strictly restricted to the SE. Stop claiming the SS , it reeks of greed. Your properties were taken over in Rivers, that is not a sign that you are brothers.
The constitution allows us all freedom of movement and expression via peaceful protest. So far, none of the protest have been violent except when the security forces shot at unarmed protesters. There has been no alleged act of terrorism against IPOB, not one. As for your so called SS/SE, these names are not recognised in the constitution or any law of Nigeria so I don't who you are talking about. As for abuse, under my right to free speech, I'm allowed to abuse anybody. If you don't like it, go and change the constitution. Everything been done here is done by the constitution and legal routes.

Now, by which legal route did lord Lugard make you a Nigerian?

I don't know why Yorubas are complaining about the destructive tendencies of the Hausa-Fulani on their lands. Yorubas want 'one Nigeria' with these people despite knowing what they are capable of, so what is the problem? I really thought Yorubas would have been throwing parties any time the northerners attack them, to celebrate 'one Nigeria'.

You can continue to deceive yourself.

IPOB represents the jobless, frustrated people of the SE. Nothing to do with the SS. IPOB protests were banned in all SS states. Even Wike and the Delta state governor ordered a shoot at sight policy for IPOB miscreants who loot public property using protest as a shield.

Stay there and let pant dey wear you. There is now a splinter group in IPOB, one of Kanu's best friend is now working for the FG grin

Remember he sacked his former lawyer because he was arguing in support of the prosecution.

As always, IPOB people are disorganized, selfish, greedy.
As I said before, self determination is not for everyone. It is not everyone that can free themselves from slave and colonial mentality. But for those of us who do, we realise that it is our right to choose our destiny and not the destiny that a British thief like Lugard chose for us. I don't expect to understand what I'm talking about but what is important is that ultimate power belongs to the people, and what they say is what goes. So it doesn't matter if you shout from now till tomorrow about the beauty of 'one Nigeria', if a people don't want it, you're wasting your time.

Nnamdi Kanu has not really fully understood the problem he is facing

He is exhibiting the same delusion that has overtaken the IPOB movement

They make noise online and yet beg Buhari in secret. Their senior branch - Ohaneze is now begging to gain audience with the president and asking for a eastern nigeria development fund because of the poverty and joblessness in the region

IPOB are just confused toads. The sooner Nnamdi is executed the better for the country
I think you better get facts right. IPOB has nothing to do with Ohaneze. Ohaneze is simply the apex Igbo political/cultural organisation and it is in their nature to lobby any Government in power for Igbo interests. IPOB on the other hand is more broader than Ohaneze and represents not only Igbos but several other minorities in the south of Nigeria and they seek a separate political Union out of Nigeria. Both organisations have different agendas so don't confuse both to be the same.

You may not believe this but a Nigerian is just a west African who has adopted the slave name imposed on him by Lugard. An IPOB is someone who believes in his right to self determination and has no slave mentality of any kind.

A typical Igbo man is always looking for news on conflict anywhere in Nigeria to justify their desire to secede.

They have become conflict speculators and secretly wish to watch from the sidelines a battle that will give them closure for the 1million Biafrans that Ojukwu sacrificed only to return from his Abidjan holiday to take up membership in "Fulani" party.

Inter-tribal conflict should not foreclose on future inter-tribal cooperation.
If Europe can come together in unity despite the many wars fought from the middle ages up to the world wars, then a more perfect union of willing ethnicities is possible in Nigeria.
Justify our desire to secede? Since when do we have to justify that? You are a Nigerian simply because a British criminal called Lugard came to order you at gunpoint to become one. Your people hardly knew who Igbos were before the coming of Lugard. Now I have to justify my desire because you accepted the fraud Lugard sold to your people? You SW people can be funny. The only thing that made sense in what you said is that the union must be of willing ethnicities. So how come you conies never bother to ask the Igbos if they are willing? Oh sorry I forgot! Lord Lugard said so!

Read the bolded... From wikipedia:

During his short regime Aguiyi-Ironsi promulgated a raft of decrees. Among them were the Constitution Suspension and Amendment Decree No.1, which suspended most articles of the Constitution (though he left intact those sections of the constitution that dealt with fundamental human rights, freedom of expression and conscience were left intact). The Circulation of Newspaper Decree No.2 which removed the restrictions on press freedom put in place by the preceding civilian administration.[12] According to Ndayo Uko, the Decree no.2 was to serve "as a kind gesture to the press.." to safeguard himself when he went on later to promulgate the Defamatory and Offensive Decree No.44 of 1966 which made it an "offense to display or pass on pictorial representation, sing songs, or play instruments the words of which are likely to provoke any section of the country."[12] He also as per the proposals of a single man committee[13] passed the controversial Unification Decree No. 34 aimed to unify Nigeria into a unitary state.
I have read the above so many times, even here on NL. It's what the Lagos-Ibadan-Expressway media machine have used to paint Ironsi and the Igbos bad for decades. The problem is that you can only fool people for so long before the truth comes out.

News flash!! Every military rule in history runs on "unification",that is the modus operandi of the military, but not every military rule has to run on a unitary system. Ironsi's Gover was not a unitary Government because the regions/regionalism still existed while Ironsi was alive. The reason why the SW propaganda longer holds any water is because there is a big difference between 'unification' and 'unitary'. So what I suggest is you get a dictionary and find the definition of 'unitary government' then come back to tell us who introduced unitary rule in Nigeria.

he forced a unitary style on government on the country, and this is the foundation of corruption, inefficiency, wastage, backwardness that we faced today. the Igbo are crying marginalization now but if he had allowed the regional style of government to remain his pple wont be second class citizens in their country

he opened the door to military rule which has created a barbaric violent mentality in Nigeria. he had the opportunity to rein in his boy and return them to the barracks, but the sweet soup of leadership was too tempting

we should all learn from this not to prioritize selfish short term gains over the greater good of the majority
Go and read Nigerian history well instead of coming online to expose your ignorance. Ironsi did not conduct any coup, Nzeogwu and co did. If anything, it was Ironsi who foiled the coup. Ironsi did not introduce unitary rule, the regions where still in existence when Ironsi died and had full resource contol and fiscal responsibility. It was Gowon that came in, abolished the regions, created states, took away resource control and fiscal policy which is essentially unitary rule. Accusing Ironsi of introducing military rule and all the suffering that followed it is like accusing the Wright brothers of inventing the airplane that has caused a lot of deaths. God knows that Igbos have not been a beneficiary of Military rule
