Demmocrats:They are honest? Really? That's good! They were also honest when they butchered my fellow Igbos in 1945,1953 and over 50,000 in 1966? Remind me to congratulate them on their honesty. |
There was a time I used to think that Sahara Reporters was a reliable online news portal. I was on that website everyday. But since I found out that it is just part of the Lagos-Ibadan-expressway media, I don't go there any more. |
Looks like him, but unfortunately.................... Dangote doesn't wear glasses |
Umu-Chukwu !! |
OP, is the parliamentarian the woman kneeling down? IPOB taking the struggle to the heart of British Governance and rightfully so too! Britain must answer to why it brought together incompatible people without seeking the permission of the indigeneous people of the land first! Nice one! |
Had she been Igbo, heads might have rolled just based on these pictures. |
Emancipation:If and when the international community or the United nations back a referendum, Nigeria would have reached a point of no return. As can be recalled, when Scotland were about to conduct a referendum, the British Government offered them Devo-Max (maximum devolution of powers) if they forgot the idea. The Scots rejected it and still went on with the referendum. After the referendum, the Scots still got Devo-Max and on top of that, are still planning a second referendum. I think that the Buhari administration is simply incapable of restructuring Nigeria and offering the geopolitical zones regionalism and that's why the agitation for full blown secession will continue. In a way I don't blame them. They know that should the 3 geopolitical zones in the South become autonomous regions, they day any one of then pulls out of Nigeria, it will be gameover. |
Emancipation:How do you think that the northern oligarchy will ever give you true federalism? You mean they will grant you regional autonomy, 100% resource control, federal fiscal policy? Not in this life and the life to come. For the northerner, this almost the same as granting Biafra. It was Gowon and his northern cohorts decision not to honour the confederation they signed in Ghana that forced Ojukwu to declare Biafra. So my bother, anyone in southern Nigeria hoping for true federalism/Regionalsm had better forget it because that system does not favour the North. |
Emancipation:Because the Yoruba Man has a real morbid fear of the Igbos walking out of Nigeria and leaving them at the mercy of the Hausa/Fulani empire. |
mulattoclaro:If your forefathers had said the same to Lugard, you would not be a Nigerian today. |
Omonigeriarere:You cone heads have sworn to die on top Biafran matter, why? |
mekaboy:Don't mind Buhari. His Fulani people are jumping all over North and west Africa with no passport and he is making case with Kanu. Even his native Daura people are jumping into Niger Republic and back everyday with no passport but the gworo chewing dullard is concerned about how an indigenous born Igbo man like Kanu came into Nigeria. Joker |
There's a generation of Igbos in their 40's and above who are still running to pour their money into Lagos,Abuja, Kaduna etc that are all outside Igbo land. I can understand that some of these places are strategic due to federal government presence, high population, sea port etc. However, those of us coming up will not invest one penny outside Igbo land. We are too wise to make the mistake our seniors made when they bought into the fallacy called 'one Nigeria' |
Omonigeriarere:Stop parading this picture as IPOB members, this could be anywhere in Africa, could even be Jamaica. There is nothing in this picture that proves it was taken in Nigeria |
McCarlito:Please enlighten me on the difference. I have never seen any family or market place where there is 100% unity. It does not exist, not even between twins. What is important is not unity or disunity. What is important is what the majority want. |
McCarlito:But you have disunity amongst Nigerians in general but still have a Nigeria? |
Litmus:Stop talking nonsense and start saying the truth. People fight wars for the same reason you see any two men fighting, the inability to reach a compromise. The question you should be asking is why some people cannot compromise? The Biafran war you are talking about was caused by Gowon. It was Gowon that went back on the agreement he signed in Aburi Ghana which sparked off the war. Even as at that, Ojukwu offered him a democratic way out via a referendum but he insisted on "we must all be one Nigeria". How can a reasonsble human being say that type of thing? The issue of the same Biafra is rearing its head again but instead of the Government engaging the elements agitating in dialogue, they have gone back to "we must all be one Nigeria" once again while killing unarmed people. How can peace reign in that type of situation? People don't fight wars for the fun of it, people fight wars because the alternative is slavery. |
OMG! These APC people are just terrible! They along with their gworo chewing president have no regard for the rule of law. Badeh, has been charged to court. He simply exercised his constitutional right to seek bail from the court to attend to his medical needs and it is up to the court to grant or deny his request. But because most APC supporters are narrow minded, they have resorted to bad mouthing the man. Do these APC rats realise that everyone is considered innocent until the courts say otherwise? APC is leading Nigeria nowhere |
legwa10:Did the Nigerian flag exist when Lugard was fighting to create Nigeria? |
It is disheartening to hear that Nigeria army and police intercepted and arrested 22 Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on 26th Feb 2016 who were returning from the burial of one of their brothers by the name Nzubechukwu Onwumere who was shot dead on the 9th of February 2016 while praying for the release of leader Nnamdi Kanu and the restoration of Biafra at national high school Aba. They have killed these unarmed Biafrans, and will not allow their people to bury them. This is the only country where quest for self-determination is interpreted as treason and attending the burial of indigenous people a crime. This is unbelievable. Nigeria is a disgrace to black Africa and a disappointment to democracy. I am forced by this barbaric act of the Nigerian army to believe that Nigeria government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has employed released members of Boko haram, to ensure that total annihilation of Biafrans is achieved. It is important to note here that, over 28 Biafrans were shot dead on 9th January 2016, more than 16 people massacred between 22 Feb. to 24 Feb. 2016 in Ogoni Rivers State, and the killing continues on daily basis. And all these people who have been killed by the Nigerian armed forces must be buried by Biafrans and any attempt to arrest them, must be condemned by all. On this note, I hereby appeal to Human Right Watch, Amnesty International and other human right organizations to call Nigerian government to order. Self-determination is a universal law; United Nation should stand up to its responsibilities. I also call on the European Union to stand on the part of justice and call for a referendum for the freedom of the Indigenous People of Biafra. The right of the indigenous people to self determination is an inalienable right. Why is Nigeria killing Biafrans on a daily basis just because we asked for our right to be independent? Is the agitation not lawful? If it is, why is the United Nations that made that law not saying anything? Well at least, IPOB are protesting in Italy, a civilised country that does not shoot people just for protesting. |
Should Buhari get a second term, he will probably run out of countries to tour and start visiting all the planets in the Solar system. |
plaetton:There is one thing I will never understand about Awolowo. This man witnessed the Northerners slaughter over 50,000 people mainly Igbos yet he went to bed and said to himself: These Northners are the best people to be in one nation with, they are just lovely Maybe it is just in the nature of the Yoruba man to be a slave of the Sokoto caliphate |
jeytee:You can arrest, detain and jail a revolutionary but you can never arrest, detain and jail a revolution |
This map is complete nonsense! As an Igbo man, if Nigeria should divide, I cannot be in any 'Southern Nigeria Republic' with Yorubas! No way! And for those talking about Nothern Agriculture and food. The places to buy food will never run out |
There is a big difference between being landlocked and having no access to the sea. Some people should go and find out the difference before commeeting on threads like this |
stefanweeks:Oh he is Ikwere? Really? Well let me tell you something you might find hard to believe. Nnsukka people and Ikwere people share somethings in common. They both bear Igbo surnames and speak Igbo as their ancestral languages. If it walks like a Duck, and quacks like a Duck, it is a Duck |
Abagworo:Doesn't matter if you call him Ikwere, the man's name is chika and probably spoke Igbo as his ancestral language. He would have been Igbo no matter where in the world he went to. |
MbaMichealE:Because it's always all about tribe, anyone telling you otherwise is a lier |
Another Igbo guy falls, probably in the course of fighting for the APC Yoruba/Northern alliance. How painful |
There is nothing surprising here. The important thing is not what Ohaneze thinks or says. What is important is what the vast majority of Igbos in the South east and the South-South want |
