Kagawa10:To be a loser, you have to be some who fought. So until Yorubas even develop the backbone to fight, they are much worse than losers |
ellachuku:Dont mind these Yoruba people. Making noise everywhere just for being a$$ lickers of the North. Igbos have fought a war for independence, the Yorubas can't even fight to get Ilorin back from the Northern Almajiris. Calling Igbos who have fought before cowards when the Yoruba man cant even lift a finger to save his own dignity . Chukwuma Nzeogwu is an Igbo who had led a coup against the North. Major Orkah is a Niger-Delta man who has led a coup against the North. Even Dimka led he fellow middle belt guys against the North. But no Yoruba man has ever lifted even an eyebrow against the North. Not even when the Northerners denied them the presidency twice (Brigadier Ogundipe and Abiola). Yet the Yoruba man is talking about who is a slave and who is a coward. They don't even have any self belief in themselves or an Oduduwa Republic. The best they hope for is playing second fiddle to the Northerners. A person who has no backbone to fight is calling those who have fought cowards. Only in the mind of a Yoruba man. |
Kagawa10:oh yeah! Igbos fought no war. The thousands of Nigerian Soldiers who drowned at the River Niger trying to get into Onitsha must have gone for swimming lessons gone bad?Ignoramus. What do you think people do in wars? They come out openly to shoot like Rambo? It is about firing and hiding. Go and learn the history of the war then come back and discuss the Biafran war with me |
emeritus856:And we are are back to the fact that Yorubas believe that people who fight, just like the Igbos did, are cowards while those who hide under brown roofs are brave. Sweet. The Yoruba man has no backbone to fight. The Igbos have fought, the Niger-Deltans have fought, even some parts of the middle belt have done something. But the Yoruba man that has never done anything against the northern establishment, not even when they abolished June 12th and killed Abiola, thinks that those who fight are cowards. Sweet |
Kagawa10:Go and read about the war. Read about it from people were on the ground when all transpired instead of listening to hearsay. After that, ask your self why Biafra withstood Nigeria for 3 years despite the overwhelming advantage Nigeria had. Ask why more Nigerian soldiers were killed than Biafra Soldiers. Ask how Nigeria at first took important towns like Aba, Umuahia and Owerri only for Biafran Soldiers to retak them. The real cowards was Nigeria that needed the military might of Britain and Russia and even Egyptian pilots to fight a far more smaller but determined Biafra. I don't know why people keep talking about neutral territory when this was Biafra vs Nigeria. Like I said, Nigeria never wins any war without international support, and when they do, the make it seem like they won when everyone knows that without the support, they wouldn't have done anything |
Kagawa10:A lot of Yorubas don't know about the war apart from what they were led to believe. France only recognised Biafra diplomatically, it did not provide military support. While the change of curreny did do some damage, it was not enough to have countered the war as Biafra printed its own currency which became legal tender. There was no food embargo. What we had was a blockade which was only made possible with British Warships. Why did Nigeria win the war? It was because of British warships that enforced a blockade that prevented food, essential supplies and adequate ammunition from getting in. It was because of Russian ammunition and jet fighters freely given to Gowon and it was because of millions of Dollars given to Nigeria by the Arab league. Nigeria never wins any any war without international support that's why it could do nothing against Boko Haram until Chad, Cameroon and the U.S hit involved. The Nigerian victory was just a hollow one because they could not have won on their own |
Kagawa10:There was no neutral ground in the war. It was Nigeria vs Biafra and Ojukwu was entitled to invade anywhere that was still part of Nigera, be it Ibadan or Sokoto. Only a coward surrenders without fighting and we gave a good account of ourselves of which I'm proud. You think Nigeria won the war? No, it was Britain, Russia and millions of Dollars of Arab leagues money that won the war for you. If Biafra had had just half of that kind of support, Igbo might have been your national language by now |
emeritus856:Fulanis? We already killed so much of them in the war to last us a life time, there nothing to chest beat about. The rest of Niger never even raised a finger. Even I'm praying that Olu Falae still has his fingers |
Kagawa10:Laughable. Ojukwu was giving 2 years to surrender? Only in the mind of a Yoruba man will you get a situation where people who fight are cowards while people who don't fight are brave |
emeritus856:I would have been surprised if the Fulanis cannot do these things considering that successive terrorist governments of Nigeria allowed them to roam about freely with AK47s. But don't worry about us Igbos, we won't always be in Nigeria. What you should be worried about is how you will live with the Fulanis when we send all of them packing in Biafra back to Nigeria. You all are going to be together to really enjoy "one Nigeria" B |
Boko Haram is bound to hit Lagos sooner or later. These people are fighting to islamise Nigeria and they will never stop. . |
Kastonkastroll:The same Igbos and Ojukwu who fought your 'one Nigeria' in armed combat for 3 years? Yorubas can be a funny lot. They can never fight for anything, not even to save their lives, but will call those who fought, cowards. I can only but laugh |
superstar1:There's a big difference between being landlocked and having no access to the sea. Most Nigerians think they are one and the same thing. Not true. A massive seaport can be built in Imo and Abia because those states have tributuaries that run straight into the Athlantic Ocean. Even Onitsha has a River port although it is nowhere near what it should be. I will never know how anyone can think that Osun state with nothing can be richer than Anambra that has the the largest industrial base in Nigeria after Lagos. Someone must have been high on drugs when they compiled this list |
kingsolex:Most of these things were in the pipeline before Buhari came to power. Buhari is a massive faliure and a mediocre leader at best |
With the "forced conscription" of over 300 ethnic groups that make up Nigeria into one country by the British, the issue of sovereignty cannot be wished away. Referendum is a legitimate and legal means for any ethnic grouping to exercise their sovereign will to continue with a political association or to exit from it. It is foolhardy for anyone to think that Nigeria is sacrosanct when Nigeria its self is an act of coercion. It is the legitimate right of a people to decide their political destiny and a referendum must be granted the SS/SE or war is inevitable |
Given that most Igbos see Awolowo as the Devil incarnate, not many are going care anything about the death of his widow. Be |
We are all witnessing how things are done in civilised countries. The Catalonians are protesting and demanding a referendum for the peaceful disengagement from Spain. Nobody is shooting anybody, nobody is fighting. But if this had been MASSOB or IPOB, the Nigerian police would have been out killing, beating, torturing and arresting people. The only time the Nigerian police are out in force is when they know they are dealing with unarmed civilians. This same referendum of a thing was done in Britain last year. The same referendum was what a Ojukwu asked from Gowon many times so that the war would be stopped along with the needless loss of lives but Gowon kept shouting 'one Nigeria' while millions perished. Africans are just too backward in reasoning |
The 1914 amalgamation of the southern and northern protectorates of Nigeria by Lugard was an act of illegality. Even the protectorates themselves were illegal. My late Grandfather was born in 1902 as an Igbo man. He told me be fore he died that he never knew he had been made a "Nigerian" until 1920. My Grandfather was illegally made a Nigerian,as was my my father and as was me and there's no way I'm going let my children carry on with this illegal name of the whiteman. We must do what Lugard should have done before any amalgamation. We must conduct a referendum to decide who is Nigerian and who is not! Even Lugard knew what he was doing was wrong and inserted a clause in the Amalgamation document that after 100 years of nationhood, any people who were unhappy with Nigeria were free to go. This means that Nigeria became a scam as at 1st of January this year. There are only two ways out of this, a referendum or a war. And as an Igbo man, I'm prepared for either one! There is nothing like one Nigeria |
HBD to the traitor, saboture and Hausa-Fulani chief agent in Igboland. The day you step your foot in Anambra, we will teach you a lesson you will never forget for trying to bring your janjaw€€d APC party to the home state of Ojukwu. We will teach you that when it comes to Igboland, the one state you never mess with is Anambra. Okorohausa |
VivaVivre:That means he most probably descended from Igbos. So what's this story about the King of Agbor being a Bini prince? |
This same set of dangerous people called Fulanis who commit acts of terrorism and mayhem no matter what country or locality they go to. Carrying AK 47's all over the east. This is the same set of people that the Yorubas say are their brothers in "one Nigeria". Brothers because Lugard made them so. The day we Igbos declare Biafra, the East will be a no go area for these marauders. |
I had no idea that the surname of the Dein of Agbor is Ikechukwu |
Ioannes:Is that all? |
psucc:Many people have this incredible opinion of Buhari even though the man has never achieved anything in his life. |
As long as the SS is part of Nigeria, they are not moving anywhere. You can't be talking about progress when you are not in control of either your resources or sovreignty both of which have been stolen in the name of 'one Nigeria'. It's almost like a man in jail who is thinking about progress, an exercise in futility. Nigeria is a ship heading nowhere and all on board will get lost with it. The only way out for the SS people is Biafra or the Niger-Delta Republic but I hasten to add that a Niger-Delta will be 10 times harder to get than Biafra. But if anyone thinks there is any salvation in Nigeria, forget it |
ayokellany:Lord Lugard |
lionshare:Of course they won't be affected. Whenever they come back, Igboland or Biafra will still be there waiting for them |
Toktee:Joker. Why wouldn't Ojukwu lead a battle to liberate his people from the fraud of a nation that Lord Lugard came from Britain to give you? You should be thankful to Ojukwu, he was the only one with the guts to try and destroy the farcical and fictitious creation of the White man some of you call Nigeria. Don't worry, my generation of Igbos will be the ones to deliver Nigerians out of colonial mentality |
lionshare:Are we talking about about Igboland or Lagos? Biafra is not about some Igbo man looking for his daily bread in Lagos,London or Japan. It's about people who reside and live in Igbo land |
