PoliticsRe: Buhari, Osinbajo, Ministers, Others Pocket N2.3bn Salaries In One Year by zikter(m): 8:32pm On Sep 18, 2016
I thought the basic salary of the President is far more than that. 3.51 million is not huge if the published figures are correct.

That is still your problem. Refusing to accept the obvious. How can any Nigerian living in Nigeria boldly come out and say as a car owner they don't give policemen bribe. Keep lying to yourself. Refusing to accept a problem is same as perpetuating the said problem. How do you all change things when you don't want to accept facts.
the issue is I don't like agreeing with things that I cannot prove, because they are mere speculations and no substance. if you have asserted that some Nigerians are corrupt, I would have agreed with you because that has a prove. but agreeing with you on your view point is totally alien to me as a rational thinker. but what do I know, a popular saying has it that, every one is entitled to their opinions. however, when push comes to shove, prove of opinions takes the centre stage. in that case an opinion that can't be proven is worthless. and for your information, there is nothing like fact in all you have said. just saying all Nigerians living in Nigeria are corrupt is no fact, it a mere statement of conjecture. it only when you prove the statement that it becomes a fact.

I hope you don't actually believe there is one clean person living in Nigeria? If that were the case, you would not have had decades of every single public official looting you blind. Mathematically it is almost impossible. Not in Nigeria though. And it is not about you feeling you have to bribe a policeman. Living in Nigeria, you have to. It is in the blood. Why are you arguing against the obvious?
this is exactly what I am saying. you are still conjecturing without any prove. prove to me that I have given bribe to police while owning a car. all these talk of is in the blood blabla is no prove whatsoever. if you come to Nigeria now and tell me am corrupt and I sur you, how will you prove am corrupt is my point. because you cannot tell the court that its obvious and is in my blood. how do you detect corruption in the blood given a blood sample?

You still don't get it. If you follow the logic, even if you don't have a car now, you will eventually buy one. Aren't you going to give policemen bribes when you do? To you, this is normal everyday life in Nigeria but it is definitely not normal. Your children are looking at you. What do you think will happen when they grow up? Why do you think every elected politician is fleecing you dry hence the topic? You guys need to start telling yourselves the truth. You all like to avoid it.
no, you are the one not getting it. don't generalize people in such a manner you are doing. how do you prove that I feel giving a bribe to a policeman is normal cos I live in Nigeria? you will agree with me that you cannot prove it aside mere conjectures here.

As a car owner in Nigeria, you would have been stopped at one point in time by a policeman. Can you honestly say in the presence of God you don't give bribes? Be honest to yourself. To you that is not significant but it is a problem. It solidifies the way Nigerians think.
not everyone has a car. the issue is you are making a general statement covering over 100 million people and that is why your comment is antagonised. fact is there are corrupt people even where you claim you are leaving. as you are not giving bribe does not imply others are not, and since you are not the secretary keeping the register of corrupt people, you may not know. next time you want to make that kind of statement, make use of words like "some" "many" "most" etc but never "all".

Why will EFCC only file for an application in court seeking the total forfeitur $15,591,700? If Mama Peace is truly guilty, why won't EFCC charge her and make her to be jailed as penalty to the offence?

if the money is seized and Mama Peace remains a free person, I will regard the as political victimization
don't you get it? efcc is prosecuting those who have links to the acct base on paper evidence of which mama has none. ok, present documents that show she owns the acct to us here. if she laying claim to the money, then it her duty to prove ownership and not that the efcc will start prosecuting someone they don't have evidence against. that will be witch hunting that you are talking about.

Why is she not being convicted? I understand Fayose cannot be convicted at the moment but what of Dansuki and Metuh. I'm just hearing all these money and I'm not hearing someone being sent to jail.

Mama Patience! You hard earned money for health issues? What are you treating? How hard did you work to earn it? Why are all these money in Dollars and not naira? And some people are blaming the current President for recession. This country has been recessed before the handover. Is everyone forgetting the CNN headline 3 days before handover. I'm not trying to blame past President, becos he's not aware of most things that was happening. My point is, I want someone to pay for all this. I want to see someone being convicted and sent to kirikiri or else, this madness will never stop.

Hard earned money my feet!! undecided
the thing is govt has encouraged plea bargains so much. I don't know how this Will help in the fight against corruption.

calm down. are you not aware that she is in court to lay claim to the money? efcc made investigations base on evidence they gathered which did not implicate her. she is the one one claiming it so allow her to prove ownership. to me all these press releases on a matter before the court is not sensible.

you misunderstanding the whole issue. efcc has no evidence against mama. the people who have issues with efcc are already charged, some have pleaded guilty already. patience is the one claiming the money she has no connection with base on bank documents. and are you not aware that she has sue efcc and Skye bank? why are you now saying efcc should take her to court while they have not accuse her? be logical and intelligent with your views in a public forum like this instead calling people names. it is not worth it.

I now believe that 90% of zombies are stark illiterates. I am usually taken aback on how they write, may be they are paying someone to do it for them because their reasoning is just like a day baby.

No one above is asking EFCC to charge her to court to prove her ownership just as Professor Itsa Sagay opined. You don't just maligned people because you are poor, this hatred though caused by poverty of the mind is been taken too far.
I think efcc can find it hard to charge her because no documents showed that she owns the money or the companies. she is the one claiming ownership and the onus is on her to prove so. she has already gone to court for that purpose isn't she? but base on evidence before the law, she has nothing to do with the money for now.

Do you understand the Genesis of this problem at all? Somebody else was being investigated for the 15million dollars found in four of his companies and Mrs Jonathan just came forward to claim ownership the EFCC has advised she brings concrete and legal proof of ownership which till now she has failed to ...the strange part is that there is no legal or Corporate linked between her and the said funds..If you ask me the woman is simply pricing trouble where there is non because nobody had accused her of owning the funds in the first place but in a rather strange twist she accused herself of owning the funds and yet can't even deliver a single legit connection that it's her funds
some people are just blindly hateful. I doubt if they have the capacity to comprehend your point

Shame, shame, shame!!! She is yet to be invited for interrogation, why?
madam calm down and stop this shameful behavior. who is giving her media trial? was is not her who came out to claim the money in a money looting case? did efcc invited her in the case? and don't compel efcc to invite her. according to documents she has nothing to do with the money. the documents showed 4 coys and some individuals and not patience and by law she is not the owner of the money. but she has gone to court so don't come and c ry more than her on nairaland

can someone who is sensible explains how the 30% interest in a month comes abt? from the comments there is no central acct with mmm, so who is paying the interest as mmm will not trade with the money for profits. mmm proponents should explain this to the house. are the mmm coordinators not incurring any expenses? where do they get money to pay their workers? something is not just adding up here.
