Crime › Re: Court Remands Man For Raping 14-Year-Old Niece In Osun by zoedew: 10:59am On Jul 16, 2019 |
Elchicolo: An Ile-Ife Magistrate Court in Osun on Monday ordered that a 26-year-old man, Abibu Babatunde, who allegedly raped his 14-year-old niece be remanded in prison.
Magistrate Olukunle Owolawi, who refused to admit the defendant to bail, ordered that he be remanded in Ile-Ife prison custody.
The prosecution counsel, Insp. Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence between September 2018 and July 2019 at Sabo area, Ile-Ife.
He added that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 222 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002. The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.
Owolawi adjourned the case until Aug 8, for hearing.

Truth is, Obasanjo must carry the can for the mess from which he seeks to fashion out a message given that he removed the study of History from our schools. Hindsight makes for foresight! Now folks don’t know where we are coming from as a nation! It’s that bad! |

Yopcity: Thank God im no longer in Nigeria, my advice to the common nigerians is as follows:-
1. Write ur will and place it on table before going out every morning as u may never come back
2. Arm urself with a weapon so u can at least défend urself when attacked
3. Start planning on how to leave the country ASAP ! Nowhere in the world is free of these things. It is only worse elsewhere in degrees. In Sweden for instance, you a stand minimal risk of being killed by a criminal yet in 1986 Olof Palme was shot to death on the streets of Stockholm! Best to see what you can do to further a secure environment where you at. |

It happened in EKITI few weeks back. The Nigerian Fulani are presently playing the victim. The Yoruba must commission a study to chronicle the killings traceable to The Fulani so the discourse can be backed up with verifiable, indisputable and undeniable facts. The FG has been most insensitive on this matter. |

Ikem11: U think Nigeria can win in war against South African? That country used to have nuclear weapon they just decided to dismantle it by them selves... They got more war arsenal 3times bigger than Nigeria.... So think twice before chanting war songs.. Militarily we can’t handle SA. Economically we can skin them alive. No nation is focused on war when its economy looks South. |

Obasanjo contributed to the mess from which he now fashions a message when he took the study of history out of our schools. We have a nation largely ignorant of where we are coming from and it could have a disastrous consequence for Nigeria going forward. I advise folks pick up a copy of a “Tale Of Two Cities” by Charles Dickens. |

This is not racism but a call for folks to eyeball misgovernance in their home nations rather than flee (migrate) to places like USA, Germany, UK where folks sweated hard to have good governance others now flock to enjoy. |

Politics › Re: Fasoranti: We Have Made Arrests, Say Police by zoedew: 7:41am On Jul 16, 2019 |
doris00: The Ondo State Police Command on Monday disclosed that it had made a number of arrests on the killing of Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, the daughter of the leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
The police reiterated that its men were still in the forest, in the local government in search of the hoodlums.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Femi Joseph, said the command would not relent until the perpetrators were apprehended and brought to book.
He said, “We have made a lot of arrests on this matter, but we are doing the screening of those arrested to know who among them are the culprits.
“By the time we finish the screening, we will let the world know the perpetrators.”
On the number of the those arrested, Joseph said he would not be able to disclose the number for security reasons but said, “As I said a number of people have been arrested and when it is time we shall parade the suspects.”
In the same vein, the Secretary-General of the Yoruba Council of Elders, Dr Kunle Olajide, said South West governors should be blamed more for the attacks by herdsmen in the region than the Federal Government alone.
Olajide, in a chat with journalists during his condolence visit to Pa Fasoranti in Akure, said state governors ought to have taken drastic action against open grazing.
Olajide said, “This is an unfortunate incident, it is a poison arrow to the Yoruba nation and I have listened to some of our leaders who have been here and I want you to know that most of the comments are mere platitudes, some of them are grossly insensitive and honestly offend human sensitivity.
“For me, there is much to this, it is a killing too many, this is a direct assault on the Yoruba nation and to the sensitivity of our people. It shows they have clearly taken us for granted and this has to stop but I’m quite uncomfortable because most of the time we lay the blame at the doorsteps of the Federal Government but I want to say that more is at the doorsteps of our state governors.”
See more here https://thickmatch.com/fasoranti-made-arrests-say-police/ Dr. Kunle Olajide spoke correctly! SS and SW politicians and State Governors Of APC extraction have been been chicken-hearted on this matter because of the body language of President Buhari who is a Nigerian Fulani. The chickens have now come home to roost! Alex Badeh died at the hands of criminals he failed to contain while in power as CDS and same is sure to happen to all politicians who behave in the same manner should they fail to do the needful. |
