lol as long as you have a vial of chicken blood to go with the alum trick, all shall be well |
Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by debosky(m): 9:08pm On Jul 26, 2007 |
women have been deceiving men and vice versa for centuries, I don't see this case as any different: the man LovePeddler acts like a 'good boy' to get the 'good girl' who has actually been round the block herself, but has good alum +chicken blood skills the two liars deserve each other don't you think |

I don't want to marry a virgin O! I don't want to go out with a virgin. I don't even want to know a virgin. I don't know where you people are getting these stories from. In fact, if I unknowingly marry a virgin, I will divorce her when I find out. |

Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by tpia: 10:18pm On Jul 26, 2007 |
@thiefofhearts I forgot to mention, tpia as you can see from the responses on here you can see why some people would think the world revolved around virginity and about all the men talking here, its really strange how when they want to marry a non-Nigerian abroad, the virginity thing suddenly doesnt matter? Or should I say virginity suddenly becomes a non-issue. It looks to me like virginity is only important when/if the girl is Nigerian. I guess it reduces the chances of the man running into one of the girlfriend's former lovers. |

Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by mellow(m): 12:00pm On Jul 27, 2007 |
Even as a young unmarried man I have never liked dating a virgin or virgins and the few I went out with was not all that pleasurable in the first place so what the heck? As far as I am concerned its a matter of choice. And like TOH said its a matter of insecurity. |
Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by Bolarge(m): 12:10pm On Jul 27, 2007 |
It’s so funny that there’re some particular people u see in every thread that broaches on virginity and all they come to do is run down virgins and the concept of chastity as a whole. They believe only “hypocrites” lay claim to such. It’s apparent these anti-virgins are actually exhibiting a form of defense mechanism. The actual truth is these people are those who actually did treasure their virginity a great deal (and funny enough in their subconscious still do) but owing to either crass stupidity on their part or spinelessness in the face of peer pressure and hormonal surges they lost it. Ds syndrome is even made worse if it was lost to a complete jerk/loser of a guy (or girl as the case may be) who never really cared ‘bout him/her. NB: Peeps who never even gave virginity a thought i.e. it never was an issue to them will naturally just skip any so-called virginity topic and move on to more interesting stuff. At worst they’d say something like. .”virginity again?, na wa o” and leave it at that. Why would some peeps then make it a personal crusade and appear on practically every virginity thread to virgin-bash as it were. Y’all think about it. Case in point: I remember a particular study we were shown back in med school done on top female pro-abortionists. It was revealed that all (without exception) their frontliners (about 6 if I remember clearly) had at some earlier point in their lives committed abortion. This simply goes to say that instead of facing the guilt they simply found it easier to channel it into a cause that attempts to justify the crime they had committed that somehow still gnaws/eats them up albeit in the deepest recesses of their seared consciences. This, I believe is directly applicable here. There is absolutely no point going from thread to thread bashing virgins if really u don’t have issues. Doesn’t it interest everyone that these same people (anti-virgin crew) always resort to insults? The big question is “why?" The answer is simple. . . To generate the same society-induced tidal pressure that made them err to make others err. Period. You are their friend until you make your stand known and are resolute about it. Then you immediately become the butt of every vicious joke they can come up with. For the young ones here with a sense of dignity (virgin or no) who are still at the mercy of the taunters that enforce the much talked about “peer pressure” I leave a favorite quote: " . . In more basic terms, sharing the gift of sex is like putting a piece of tape on another person's arm. The first bond is strong, and it hurts to remove it. Shift the tape to another person's arm and the bond will still work, but it will be easier to remove. Each time this is done, part of each person remains with the tape. Soon it is easy to remove because the residue from the various arms interferes with the tape's ability to stick. The same is true in relationships, where previous sexual experiences interfere with the ability to bond. ." 1 Like |

Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by deekseen(m): 12:18pm On Jul 27, 2007 |
Like Denex, i get a bit awkward when i'm with virgins. They're just too overprotective of that 'isle'. You want just a warm kiss, they're thinking you want to lure them to take off their pants. You do a little touche-touche, the same thing. You have them sit on your laps or when sleeping you get 'too' close, forget it, they won't sleep again. Abeg their wahala too much. |
Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by johnnygan(m): 12:26pm On Jul 27, 2007 |
lol. With all your little kisses, are you not heading for their pants? *puffs* |
Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by deekseen(m): 1:02pm On Jul 27, 2007 |
Well, if you use little kisses to get to their pants, i don't. I guess i'm way too mature not to know what i want and how to go about it. |
Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by deekseen(m): 1:13pm On Jul 27, 2007 |
Can't a brother get to feel his girl cos she's a virgin? Please, you virgins (if there are any) shouldn't take my comments the wrong way. I am not trying to discredit you in any way. Just being expressive of how you make some guys feel sometimes. |

Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by tpia: 2:12pm On Jul 27, 2007 |
@bolarge: long post there. You have some points: I do find myself checking out a lot of these virgin threads, mainly because I'm wondering why it's suddenly such a big deal on nairaland. Nothing to do with virgin bashing. Its my personal opinion that many of the guys opening these threads have ulterior motives for requiring virgins. Selfish ones, because many times you find that the guys who insist on virginity are the same ones who have slept with countless females all around town. They now shout virgin because they dont want someone who has been "used" the way they " used " women. of course not all guys are like this, but a significant number are. And I just feel its not right to make a virgin feel as if virginity is something to be worshipped. Not so, unless you plan on remaining a virgin for your entire life- there is life after sex, no matter what some people are preaching around here. And being disvirgined by your husband or lover doesnt guarantee a happy life, like I said before. its not only women who were sexually active before marriage who are getting divorced or having bad marriages: many of these cases include women who had only had one lover-their husband. But to each his own. Its good to be a virgin, but even the vestal virgins of time past were not always chaste. And there will always be a steady supply of virgins, so after a woman gets disvirgined, if the man still feeds the need for virgin, he will get himself one. |

You've spoken well tpia. Bolarge is a hilarious joke, so anyone who is pro-choice has had an abortion before? Dude, please stop embarrassing yourself. |
Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by debosky(m): 5:49pm On Jul 27, 2007 |
oh yeah bolarge, We 'hate' virginity cos we lost ours to some losers a long time ago! r-iiight your deductive reasoning needs some work, you need to think a little deeper before arriving at conclusions let me follow in your steps a little to the young ones who are still 'intact' virginity is important, but face it - you will lose it someday preferably to the one you love on your wedding night, if not then, well move on and don't get stuck on it, there is a heck of a lot more to life than just being a virgin character and substance matter far more than the untouched or other wise nature of your genitals |

Re: Why Do Men Want To Marry Virgins? by keltin(m): 3:31am On Jul 28, 2007 |
Bblak, Nice thoughts but I hope you didn't miss my point. My point is that you don't make a marital decision on just whether a person is a virgin or not. You make such a unique and life defining decision on principles that are higher than just a person's "sexual status". While I value and honor good morals, it's my opinion that a lady's sexual life (virgin or not!!!!) should not be a man's absolute determining factor for marriage. Again, I'm not attempting to over-sell my opinion or short-sell the "virtue" of virginity but as a man, my drive would always be on whether I'll be happy with a lady, virgin or not!!!! What's the point in marrying a virgin who is a pathetic liar or a sexually experienced girl who is good at keeping malice I hope you get my point? So if you have interesting friends that are virgin then great!!!!!! If I had to, I'll be attracted to your friends on the basis of their personality (in totality) and not just their "sexual status". Let's leave this horse alone because it's obviously beaten to death. As for the guys who keep talking about "experience", please remember marriage is not all about sex. Also, there is nothing holding back couples from discussing or inventing ways to make their sexual life as beautiful as they desire. Couples should find out what works for them sexually (it's never a selfish game) and commit to making their sex life increasingly sweeter. In closing, sex is one of life's sweetest gifts but love is not all about "sexual status" and "sexual experience levels". My parting gift: Marry your friend!!!! Marry a real person who will continue to make you happy!!! Good luck to y'all !!!!!! "Money, beauty and power can buy you sex but never true love" keltin |
