OBJ did what to Moslems? And is that the reason why Blokos Haram exists?

Man, are you high?

People are dead and this is the tripe being written. Their bodies are just getting cold, with most of them still above ground and the Blokos Haram apologists show up!

I truly will forgive the insult, but what brought about BK Haram is a mixture of complex factors. Being reductionist by reducing the problem to that of the North, or cherry-picking some scape-goats is doing a great disservice at genuine efforts on finding solution to the problem.

What is happening is a diagrace and must be put down.

This crap we are seeing in Nigeria and the constant appearance of apologists to blame the death and murder on what one politician or the other did is a phucking excuse.

Blokos haram needs to be stopped and put down like a sick puppy.

The federal government needs to live up to its duties and protect Nigerians everywhere (Moslems and Christians).
Anyone who supports Blokos Haram should be charged with treason.

Which north? You kill the middle-belters and then you turn around to call them north.

You can continue languishing in the illusion that there is a geographical entity called 'middle-belt'. The notion of the 'middle-belt' is just an effort at creating a distinct Christian identity than any genuine yearnings for being freed from those you labeled as 'you' that kill the Christians that live in Northern Nigeria. But geography is not religion, so when we talk about the North, we are not talking of any religion except otherwise reasonably implied within the context. And by the way, the 'middle-belters' were the ones who ruled and ruined Nigeria more than others.

Are you serious? You sound bitter and full of hatred. Why make the sweeping generalization that 'Muslims leaders' support the activities of BK Haram? Aren't Muslims the ones that suffer the most from the group's atrocities? That notwithstanding, what facts do you have to prove your claim? And only a strikingly ignorant simpleton will assume that Northern Nigeria is a desert!

brother, if the quran had any statements remotely as peaceful as this, the world would have been a safer place.

Check out these statements.
Maybe the world is not as safe as you would like it because on both sides people have learnt to hate and despise one another  mainly because they are are more interested in fat bank accounts and becoming presidents, senators and legislators. Anyway the Qur'an-which means "The Recitation" actually does ask Muslims to live in peace with ALL Mankind

These are statements from the Holy Qur'an. Enjoy.

Let there arise out of you a band of people calling to ALL That is Good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong  3:104

Good and evil are not the same. Repel evil with goodness. That way your enemies will become your friends.41:34

Repel evil with good. 28:54

Be kind to others, forbid injustice, and pay the poor-due. 22:41

"Do not evil in the earth."
Treat people fairly, respect their possessions, and avoid evil. 11:85

Whoever kills a human being, it is as if he had killed all mankind. Whoever saves the life of one, it is as if he had saved the life of all.
 5:32

Whoever participates in a good cause, will be rewarded. Whoever participates in an evil cause, will bear the consequences thereof.  4:85

"Kill not one another." 4:29

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). Sura Al Hujjarat 49:13

You really should see a psychologist because you have a deluded sense of persecution. Moreover, you appear so confused that you can't differentiate between Islam and Hausa-Fulani or whatever ethnicity. And don't you know that there are Maguzawa who are ethnically Hausa, but religiously traditional or non-religious?

Do you have a mind? Or are you willing to learn? The largest oil-producing countries in the world are in the Middle-East, most of whom are populated by Muslims. So oil in the world is worthless without Muslims. I know you hate it that way, but there is nothing you can do about that.

You've been arguing strongly against the term, "core-North." You are wrong to do so.

The origin of the term, core-North is common knowledge, so it seems a bit strange when you argue about a name the Hausa-Fulani gave themselves. They got upset that Obj was giving top posts to Middle Belters and confronted him about marginalisation of the North; Obj simply pointed at the Middle Belters as Northerners in top positions. The Hausa-Fulani then introduced the term, "core-Northerner" as a distinction.

Razists ni won, they are bloody razists!

Boko Haram has to be stopped. Each region and zone should learn to eat from its own sweat. And trade the fruit of its labour with the neighbouring states. Any region that doesn't want to do this but still impose its will on others should leave.

North Eastern Nigeria can form the Boko Haram Emirate if it wants, but while it remains part of Nigeria then all this killing must end!

If you had an open-mind, I'd expect you to understand some things, but it seems you are hell-bent on sticking to your bigoted views. You and Boko Haram are not different, just that you are doing what they are doing on a different platform. It's hatred and obstinately clinging on to wrong view that make them go around bombing those who disagree with them, including both Muslims and Christians. Interestingly, here you are propounding their awful ideology.

If what you said about the etymology of the word 'core-North' is true, then the bombings are happening in a predominantly Kanuri state, which makes it wrong for anyone to assert that the bombings are happening in the 'core-North'. It's just a word coined by idle minds to thaw at Nigeria's unity. There are six geopolitical regions in Nigeria and describing the BK Haram incident, extremism by some Muslims as well as some Christians can be very well done without resorting to such vague concepts.

Besides, what differentiates the scientific mind from the other minds is questioning the common and the uncritically-accepted. Vague concepts such as the 'core-North' are just used to score cheap political points. The Middle Belt could be aptly described using the already-accepted concepts such as North-Central, Christians and their ethnic identities.

ICEZ and your like, read with an open mind and tell me if this BH is not a Nigerian problem, you think they only attack Christians and that this is a religious war.

LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — Residents fearfully left their homes Saturday to bury their dead in northeast Nigeria following a series of coordinated attacks that killed at least 69 people and left a new police headquarters in ruins, government offices burned and symbols of state power destroyed.

A radical Muslim sect known locally as Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the attacks in Borno and Yobe states, with the worst damage done in and around the city of Damaturu. The group also promised to continue its bloody sectarian fight against Nigeria's weak central government, with residents nervously moving through empty streets, waiting for the next attack.

"There's that fear that something might possibly happen again," Nigerian Red Cross official Ibrahim Bulama said.

In Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state, a car bomb exploded Friday afternoon outside a three-story building used as a military office and barracks, killing many uniformed security agents, Bulama said.

Gunmen then went through the town, blowing up a bank and attacking at least three police stations and five churches, leaving them in rubble, officials said. Gunfire continued through the night and gunmen raided the village of Potiskum near the capital as well, witnesses said, leaving at least two people dead there.

On Saturday morning, people began hesitantly leaving their homes, seeing the destruction left behind which included military and police vehicles burned by the gunmen with the burned corpses of the drivers who died still in their seats.

Bulama spoke to The Associated Press by telephone Saturday morning from a common Muslim burial ground in the city as his family buried a relative and friend, a police officer who died after suffering a gunshot wound to the head in the fighting.

Officials anticipated a dusk-till-dawn curfew to fall over the town, though state officials repeatedly declined to comment on the violence. The violence destroyed federal offices, public buildings and an immigration office, said Aliyu Baffale Sambo, an official with Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency.

Nigerian Red Cross statistics showed at least 65 people died in and around Damaturu. Four other people were killed by four bombs in Maiduguri, about 80 miles (130 kilometers) east, officials said. One of those blasts detonated around noon outside an Islamic college, another alongside a road, local police commissioner Simeon Midenda said.

A short time later, suicide bombers driving a black SUV detonated their explosives outside the base for the military unit charged with protecting the city from Boko Haram fighters, military spokesman Lt. Col. Hassan Ifijeh Mohammed said. That blast injured several soldiers.

A Boko Haram spokesman claimed responsibility for the attacks in an interview Saturday with The Daily Trust, the newspaper of record across Nigeria's Muslim north. A Boko Haram spokesman using the nom de guerre Abul-Qaqa promised that "more attacks are on the way."

"We will continue attacking federal government formations until security forces stop their excesses on our members and vulnerable civilians," the spokesman said.

His comments come as human rights activists say soldiers have beaten and killed civilians while trying to search for the sect in Maiduguri.

Two suicide bombers detonated explosives inside vehicles in Maiduguri on Saturday night, but caused no casualties, police said.

Boko Haram wants to implement strict Shariah law across Nigeria, an oil-rich nation of more than 160 million which has a predominantly Christian south and a Muslim north. Its name means "Western education is sacrilege" in the local Hausa language, but instead of schooling, it rejects Western ideals like Nigeria's U.S.-styled democracy that followers believe have destroyed the country with corrupt politicians.

Boko Haram's attacks occurred ahead of Eid al-Adha, or the feast of sacrifice, when Muslims around the world slaughter sheep and cattle in remembrance of Abraham's near-sacrifice of his son. Police elsewhere in the country had warned of violence ahead of the celebration in Nigeria, a country largely split between a Christian south and a Muslim north. On Wednesday, police in Maiduguri had said they broke up a plot to bomb the city over the holiday.

President Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian who took office amid religious and political rioting that saw at least 800 die in April, canceled a trip to Bayelsa state for his younger brother's wedding Saturday, spokesman Reuben Abati said. He said the presidency did not consider those who launched the attacks "true Muslims," as the assault came during a holy period.

Abati also promised that "every step will be taken" to arrest those responsible — the same pledge made again and again as Jonathan has visited other sites bombed by Boko Haram.

"The security agencies will tell you that what happens on this scale is even a fraction of what could have happened considering the scope of the threat," Abati said. "The security agencies are busy at work trying to make sure the will of the majority of the Nigerian people is not subverted by a minority (group) with a suicidal streak."

However, the Nigerian government faces an increasingly dangerous threat from Boko Haram. The group apparently has split into three factions, the AP has learned. One faction remains moderate and welcomes an end to the violence, another wants a peace agreement with rewards similar to those offered to a different militant group in 2009.

The third faction, though, refuses to negotiate and remains the most radical. This faction is in contact with al-Qaida's North Africa branch and likely the Somalia-based terror group al-Shabab, a diplomat said on condition of anonymity according to embassy orders.

That sect likely is responsible for the increasingly violent and sophisticated attacks carried out in the sect's name. In August, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for a suicide car bombing at the United Nations headquarters in Nigeria's capital, which killed 24 people and left another 116 wounded.

An AP count shows the group has killed at least 329 people this year alone.

Bad leaders create mayhem.

I am surprised Nigerian have not started a revolution against the incompetent fools ruling. Since 1960 what accomplishment can we point to

Still massive blackouts

Education in a state of crisis

Political thieves as leaders

Bad roads

no simple common sense planning

Running water, if you're lucky some days

I left Nigeria over 29 years ago and what i see and hear from the useless leaders is disgraceful. Europeans and Americans laugh at us for gross stupidity.

The so called rich Nigerians live in constant fear of the unknown because they are the reasons for our problems in that country.

Until common people say, enough is enough, BOKO HIRAM would be the least of our problems. Be prepared for break up as the deadly acts gets more ugly.

This is not religious war, but simply senseless acts by people that have given up hope in life due to lack of opportunities. Everyone in Nigeria is now calling God, while we all know God will only help countries that help themselves.

Direct your VENOM at the true culprits responsible for all the violence (corrupt leaders with so so stupid brains). My fellow Nigerians wake up and see the true reasons for the problems affecting Nigeria today.

Sometimes i wish we have A JERRY RAWLINGS, to eliminate all the corrupt leaders past and present.

Some wicked forces are at play here, intent on breaking up Nigeria and if you fail to see that, too bad for your blindness!

Take a look at what the CIA has to say about Nigeria chances in the coming years

ANOTHER ONE OF THEM, they only see when they want to see and remain blind when they dont want to see, when others are dying, they go mute just because they feel those ones deserve to die and not live because they hate them, but when theirs get touched, they come up with all them ultra emotional and sentimental backlashes, calling for the head of the same people who killed the previous set of people too.

See let me tell you something even if you don't want to hear it, bOKO HARAM and other killers out there are out to get the Nigerian state which consist of not just we Christians but also some innocent Muslims, these Muslims are humans too just as we Christians, trying to ignore the innocent Muslims getting killed is also a huge crime as abating these killers.

Stop this hatred fueling, come together, fight this menace together, if you also want Nigeria broken up, then you can continue with your ranting, if not, you need to come to terms that you have to love other innocent people out there who aren't in your own faith.

Some people are just more intolerant than those they accuse of same, so because i am not in total support of the hate spreading, i am now a Fulani man? SMH, i am more southerner than most of these accusers and maybe even more Christ-like than them. infact Jesus Christ's mission on earth was even to those who are yet to know Christ, he went closer to these people, loved these people more and even made them his priority. Jesus came for the sinners to win them over, not to hate on them or condemn them forever or to generalize all of them as wicked people.

This is obviously more than a political fight, why target churches? Are there no mosques around? The alqaida and some fundamentalists are bent on making this country an Islamic nation, remember Egypt, and the middle east, some of these nation used to be Christian nations, today they are islamic nations. Let Christians lift up the christians in the north up to God, that they may stand firm in this time of trial. God will definitely intervene and deliver this country, it is time to rise up and DO SOMETHING.God will teach us what to do.
