His brother worked with a Chinese company in Ikeja (name witheld), and he worked at the factory sometime last week, and slept over. His where about could not be determined till the following evening, where his body and that of his friend were found inside the company's swimming pool with blood coming out of their ears, nostrils, and mouth.

To my best of knowledge (i lost a brother to the pool, i.e got drowned). When a human drowns blood does not come out from those places, what we suspect is foul play, perhaps they must have seen or heard something they were not supposed to see or hear, or perhaps the company is into shady deals.

Some bullshite here. They treat Nigerian's like uneducated animals. It is so insulting. angry lipsrsealed. Just dispense notes and let the market dispense coins. You wont have to force anyone to do anything, if you are doing the right things. Scrap every currency over 100Naira. They will use coins, and your cost of printing money will reduce drastically.

Adeolu60: Thanks cc, I can't help it though , I' stuff my face with very greasy food everytime I'm trying to get over it.

I now know why I see a sudden change in some couple(I meant the wife's figure ) some men are destiny changers(EVIL!), I trusted him and he betrayed me.

I think I'm going crazy and I don't want to die now , I was referred to see a specialist for anti depressant on saturday (15th) and I just typed my leave of absence request letter ( approved ! I am the boss , its just a protocol)

I'm going away with my kids for a while to clear my head (they just started a school year anyways and it's not all about them , I have needs too!) I'm not going to Nigeria though, I just want to be alone!

I read some serious posts here and I realized I come first. I've been suffering inside alone since June and I noticed he's just looking more handsome cos he's lifted this burden on me! JESUS!

As for the finances, we are both CEOs and we take care of our stuff seperate , except our will and life insurance, kids college funds and our life savings has to be consented by me before any withdrawal of funds

and we don't have a prenup, Nigerians ( most I've met)don't do prenups, it's just against our morals and values, I'm not after anybody's money, I make mine in cold too.
Calm down on the anti depressant thing. Oyinbo are quick to prescribe drugs for everything. I think this is something you can work through. I feel the non communication between the two of you is making matters worse. I don't subscribe to endangering your life because of any human being. What has happened, has happened. We cannot change the past, but we can work on the future. Hopefully things get better. Now, am most annoyed that you want to take your kids out of school for your own vacation, because two adults cannot seem to behave more maturely than the kids. Your vacation with them will have to wait. LEAVE them in school. You can tell your mum to come and stay with them, or leave them with a relative who can make sure they stay and go to school. Quite frankly weekend getaway is your only option if you feel you want to go somewhere. Don't leave the wall open for lizards to rush in. Make the decision, are you going to stay or are you going to leave? If you are going to stay, take a weekend all expenses, expensive vacation on his money and comeback with a plan. Goodluck. And remember if you kill yourself, life will go on with or without you. The only people who will suffer are those little kids you want to set back because you are experiencing a set back. You need motivation? Look to TD jakes on YouTube for inspiration and motivation. God will help and see you through.

Not trying to break you further, but I think you were told before the other girl told you. A one year relationship is a deeply committed relationship. Maybe she was making demands he could not meet and he broke it. Then she threatened to tell you, and he decided to tell you first. I think your biggest issue here is how he told you and how he is going on about it, you don't feel the remorse. Although you have skipped that part. Well I think with the way you are going it will end, if you both cannot talk about it outside of the therapist. He also has to show deep remorse and a willingness not to repeat it for you to start moving on. My 10cents.

Please, keep on fighting. You have every right to. Don't let anyone tell you to forget and move on. You didn't steal the money but worked hard for it. Every day for the thief. One day, he will pay up. When we keep shielding or forgiving these people, they get bolder. Poverty is not an excuse to try to take someone's life by ripping them off. I wish you success as you continue your journey. Goodluck.

I am sorry to say this, but you are an idiot. Why cheapen the quality of this section over your stupid admission to that back water school? Do you know how many people come here for desperate help and advice? Why did you not go to the romance section where fables are told? You now understand that this stupid story of yours will undermine the advice and help so many people need? People will start to turn away from this section and question the posts. You really should be banned. huh

Chai! Sorry GEJ. Hope it is not bad. Someone like Patience is simply irreplaceable. cry. She is always so oblivious and hilarious, in a naïve and pure way. I hope she comes out fine. A lot of Nigerian's have ill health, so I don't see the big issue in disclosing the nature of the illness. We will all die one day, if it is not her time no bad bele can kill her. So why the secrecy? huh

Culture › Re: Glitz, Glamour Of Isinro Festival In Oke-ila by 2mch(m): 10:41pm On Sep 11, 2012
At the end of this ritual, the king is presented with kola nut as a gift from the people. This practice is symbolic of the social contract that exists between the people and the monarch. “Though the king is the custodian of the power, but sovereignty lies with the people”, says Oba Adedokun who is also a political scientist and a lawyer.
I love this. Great. The Yoruba culture is amazing. The kings have to remember they are there because of the people, not because of any entitlement.

This year festival, according to the natives, was better organized than those festivals of yester years because of the many more visitors who attended the festival this year. One of those visitors was Prof Gbemisola Adeoti, the director of the Institute of Cultural Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

The Professor who attended the festival on the invitation of the king explored options on how the festival can be made grander in the years ahead. He spoke about introducing the entertaining aspect to the festival in order to make it more appealing to all and sundry in Yorubaland and to those from abroad. “We could introduce artists performances, and entertainment of various kinds to enrich the social and religious dimensions of the festival”, he told The Guardian. “We could also invite corporate organizations to participate so that it can be a festival to be enjoyed by all.” He added.
Somebody should keep this prof from these people. Dont go there and dilute or rubbish their tradition. Before long now, Tuface and Dbanj will erect stage and start dancing and singing. lipsrsealed

Atleast, it will help us alot in curbing all these menances they are prone to and equally save d parents from too much stress and energy that would have bEen used for some other important thing.

madu97: so i am back from school and my parents were at home waiting for me. my dad called all my siblings into the living room and started telling them about how much of a disgrace i am and how i have brought shame unto our family by having sex and falling pregnant. he said that when my mom told him the news that he wanted to kill me and my bf but only god is keeping him from doing so. he says that he never imagined that he can raise such a worthless and stupid daughter. he says that he will use me as an example to my younger siblings so that they won't end up at stupid as me. he says that i have to have the baby and then give up the baby for adoption. he says that he will not allow me to raise my baby and bring more shame onto our family. he says that i cant go back to school, that they will hire a home school teacher for me that will teach me from until i finish high school. he has banned me from seeing my friends and he said that i can never longer leave the house unless accompanied by him or my mom. and hes making me share a room with my younger sister so she can keep an eye on me. n then he made me deactivate my facebook and twitter, so now ima b bored at home. atleast he doesnt know about my nairaland account, this is now my only way of communicating to the outside world sad i feel like im in prison, no friends and no social life sad my mom has still refused to speak to me, its not fair, i wish she would talk to me and now my siblings arent speakin to me either. my dad also said that i have to go wit him to the police station to report Quinton and he is going to make sure he goes to jail. i dont know that to make about that because i still havent heard from him, so mayb he didn't really love me but i still have feelings for him. i feel better now that my parents know about everything atleast im not crying as much but do u guys kno how i can convince my parents to let me go 2 a normal school? i dont wana b home schooled, that sucks. and how do i get my mom to talk 2 me again? and do u think they will arrest Quinton if i tell the police that i wanted to have sex with him, its not like he raped me?
grin grin grin cheesy. Ok, my work here is done! Goal achieved. Madu, please grow up. This sounds too ridiculous. If you lie to the police, you will get jailed. OK?

Rotflmao! This guys comebacks wan kill me here. Guy must your fight and insult everyone here? Open your thread in family section. More experienced people will be able to help you there. I suggest you let her know how what goes into your belly is important for you. Knowing how to cook is also different from someone who knows to cook healthy meals that will not kill all her family members in a short time. If a woman does not know how to cook and what to feed her family with, the long term implications are devastating. You may end up with obese desendants. ROTFLMAO.SMH

pslm23: Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. This is indeed a road i never thought i'd walk! When i said "I Do" to him, i fully intended to stay married forever. What this has taught me though is that we as humans might have our own pre-conceived ideas on how we want our lives to turn out but in the long run,God has the ultimate say so!

I will not entirely lay the blame on him because yes, this IVF thing really took its toll on me but that does not warrant what he did, how he did it, putting me, my health and everything i have ever worked for at such great risk. Not knowing if i was going to be told i had contracted some horrible disease that will kill me and to cap it all, he was unapologetic. The ultimate betrayal is telling your wife, that you intentionally took that male birth control measure because you never really wanted any more children cos you have grown children from your first marriage! All these years of IUI, IVF and trying to be a mommy, and it took catching him with a street walker for the truth to come out! I thought i had a happy fulfilled marriage that was only lacking one thing, a child!
This is why i asked, how do i learn to breathe again in a normal way? how can i remove this heaviness from my heart? How will i ever trust anybody again, man or woman!
I am still in therapy, i have travelled to be with my sister and her kids, but the pain is still there. I loved that man with all my heart! I really did! One day, i will stand strong again but i doubt if i ever will love again like i did!
God bless you all for your responses!
Wow. Just talk to someone. i dont think anyone here can help you. Some will gloat, others laugh, others blame you. And so many moronic views. sad
