My Grades are okay. I am not a womaniser and as a matter of fact, I never dated till was 23 when my mate already started long before me.

Anyway, I am looking for someone that will be by me now and not when I am made. But unfortunately, non exist here in Nigeria. A lot of Nigerian girls lose the opportunity of being with the right guy, one that will be your courage, hope when you had non. Money can't buy you those. My elder sister is married a great MAN because she chose wisely. There was a time she needed hope and courage and motivation,things money can't buy, and her man provided those things. If not, my elder sister could be in a mental home today.

The other girl I talked about came back begging me to accept her after two years of searching for already made man and probably slept with them all. I am not saying this to bash any lady here, but this are my experience as it present itself. Searching for already made man is like trying to reap where you never sowed.

There's a guy in my school and he manage a small business where he makes his daily bread. He did that business while he school'd and his girlfriend, a pretty damsel, has been supporting him in his business. The guy just came back from NYSC camp and while he was away, the girl manage the business. She's been with this guy for more than 5 years. Now, when this guy is made some snake would want to come into his life, right?

Nigerian girls are doing themselves more harm than good. I believe in life is a journey and you must give people chance to grow. Don't force your dream on a man without thinking of how you can contribute to his and make yours a reality. You should only leave a guy if you see that he is not serious about moving forward.

My present girl who thinks that I don't have plans does not even know that I will be the only graduate among my siblings. Though we have had a set backs but I chose to go to school against all odds. Would a man without plan do that?

My reply to her was that the future is just a few days away and she should just watch as it unfolds.

My second girlfriend just told me to get a good job and come back for her. Hey, I am still in school and will be graduating this year by God's grace.

I laugh when I see girls throw away opportunity away without realising it but sooner than later, some will say they are desperate to get married because of the age factor.

Another thing is that they often want to know my plans, but it is not is not my style to discuss future plans with my girlfriend. If she cant see with her eyes or be patient enough to support me, that is her problem.

I remember a few years back when one left me in search for already made man and luckily she found a working class guy, gave her vriginity to the guy, but today already made man don waka.

This girl in question has not even taken the time to really get to know me or what I am capable of doing, she just told me that she is not ready for a relationship and that she does not want to spend years in dating and that if she would date, it is one that will lead to marriage. She said the date would last for a year and some months and eventaully lead to marriage-- Alice in Wonder Land!

@baddud, divorce? Yes. Influence by d oda? Yes, his dad. He is not struggling, he is working. A medical doctor and presently with the US Military and he is not married but ova due for marriage. He should be around 37 by now. There was a news about him on washingtonpost mbc and other big new portal for his contributio n to the health of one US senator's wife who got shot in the head and if I give you his name to Google(I can't), you will hardly believe that someone of his status could do a thing like that. Even the American woman who gave me the info about student exchange program and she being in the medical field too could not believe it when she googled him.

But I laugh. . . The bible say honour your father and mother. I am 100% sure that very soon himself and his dad would look for where I buried my mother so that they could beg her spirit. She cursed before she died! No be yankee? When the time comes, he will crawl from US to Naija, looking 4me or my siblings to take him to his mother's grave.

I wonder if he would find any of us at that time.

I have moved on since 2days ago. I have set a new goal and a new challenge for myself. Except I am not the true son of my mother and I will put that guy to shame. Nobody and I mean nobody looks down on me, and I ever remain the same because when you do, I get high. I would want to proof you wrong. The next call he will get from me will be in the US. My mother's death did not pain me but the way she died is my pain.

Newacca, thanks and naijasexy. Naijasexy, it's really unbelievable. What offence could one's mother commit that would make her son do this? I just don't want to go into details. I have seen children born abroad come to Nigeria in search for their mother or father after many years but my half bro whose dad almost left behind, my mother fought to be taken to the states. The woman that gave me the info about student exchange prog could hardly believe it herself when I gave his name for her to Google and when she saw his status cos she is also in the medical line, she could not believe it. It is really UNBELIEVABLE. We are talking about someone working for the US military at present. I have never met an educated man behave this way. I perceive a poisoned mind!

I think I should use my half brother's refusal as motivational factor to drive me into excellence.

And that I will do starting now. My exam is on monday and I am in class reading. I will get there!

Naija sexy, am just being tired of the situation in my family. We need to move to a new level. I was told by an American a few weeks ago that one could get into the US via exchange programs organized by some US NGOs and this in compliant with the US law for J-1 visa. The program last for 3-18 months and one could work during the program. However, its quite cheap to visit the US via this method(less than $3k). If I decide,after the program to immigrate into Canada and stay, would I have any difficulties in procuring a residence or work permit in Canada? I had to come up with this due to my inability to raise $10k-15k$ for tuition fee or find a sponsor.

I have done my research and this programs are real. The woman also gave me a link to some reputable organizers.

^^ It could never be around that figure. Tuition for one year for an international student is usually at least $10, 000. Check with the school you wish to apply to.

Well, I would not advise you to tell them that you work or plan to build websites for people when you get here. Even if you have plans of doing so, keep it to yourself. NEVER tell that to anyone at the embassy. You should have at least your tuition money and upkeep money for one year in the statement you would tender but I dont think you must have more than that.

And how much could that be? I thought school fees alone was around that figure, excluding accomodation fees and other expenses.

Actually, I believe I can survive if I get there. I actually know how to design websites and I know that if I get hold of Canada's Yellow Page, with a good marketing system, the money will role in. Does this mean that the fat statement of account isn't really necessary if I can show that I have a skill that can bring me money? I mean if all I can raise is $4k which is tution fee, and I show them that money isn't going to be my problem if I get to Canada because I know how to build websites and would do just that for clients in order to put food on the table? I wish to do a post graduate diploma in Canada. I know I could manage to pay the tuition fee and application fee but I don't have a sponsor with the huge $20k in bank. I spoke to my half brother who is based in the US as a medical doctor but he does not want to help(am almost hating this guy).

I spoke to an Uncle who suggest that I go in through a conference and stay after the conference. I had to call newacca last nite to seek his advice concerning what my uncle said and his words were that I will have a difficult time to get a residence or work permit if I do it.

I am currently doing a HND in Petroleum Engineering at PTI and I would grad this year. The situation of things in my family (and being the only graduate) has prompt me to look for a way to leave Naija.
