Odoctor:> President Grump cannot terminate any part of the Constitution. This is a mere regulation under the Communications Act (a regular law). > |
Juliusmalema: ![]() That was one of the first things I noticed... Epitomizes the lack of maintenance culture in official Nigeria. SMH > |
LikeAking:His ignorance is his bliss... But Abegi don’t confuse cluelessness with courage. Only FOOLS have no fear... Conversely, courage is being fearful and overcoming it. > |
Dotard Trump is your garden variety Third World Dictator...smh ![]() > |
BastardWike:Abegi give credit where due... Because the real “nonsense” that it took over 50 years since the creation of Rivers State (53 years, to be precise) for someone to build it. > |

FDjanjaweed:I would not be surprised if he didn’t bother. Gowon is a truly humble man who doesn’t court controversy, but rest assured many will eagerly defend him. He’s well worth defending! > |
BreconHills:Bless you! The mindset at work here is Nigerian automatically equals corruption (or criminal). What those Nigerians supporting the ignorant statement fail to understand it that it’s meant to apply to them as well. > |
poseidon12:Dude, UK Parliamentarians have parliamentary immunity. You cannot sue an MP for anything they say in Parliament! > |
> These sort of throwaway comments (which in reality is subtlety directed against Nigerians in general, rather a specific individual) merely serves to lend heat without light. ![]() I do not presume to hold brief for Mr. Gowon (who served before my time), but historical records show that he was/is the first/only Nigerian leader who could not afford to build a personal house for himself. His first house in Nigeria (in Jos) was built by the government of General Babangida in 1986/87, about 12 years after Gowon left power, following the grant of a pardon to Gowon and his subsequent return to Nigeria. The land on which the house was built was not even owned by General Gowon but rather was donated to the Nigerian government for the house to be built by Dr. Fom Bot, who was at that time the Gbong Gwom (traditional ruler) of Jos. Furthermore, General Gowon DID NOT EVEN OWN A HOUSE IN LONDON in all of the over a decade’s period (about 12 years from 1975 to 1986/87) that Gowon lived in exile in the UK. First, immediately upon his overthrow, he squatted with an IBOMAN (and this a mere 5 years after the Biafra War) Emmanuel Oti (father of former England international rugby player Chris Oti). From there, he moved into graduate/married students’ accommodation at Warwick University (where he was studying, subsequently up to his PhD), until the Nigerian government decided that it was unbecoming of an ex-Nigerian head of state and arranged more “suitable” accommodations. Gowon’s wife Victoria initially had to work for a while in the UK to help support the family, and therefore one finds any notion that General Gowon escaped “with half of the Central Bank of Nigeria” incredulously unbelievable! > |
> ANOTHER PRIMITIVE NIGERIAN MAN! ![]() The relationship has not even gotten off the ground and dude is already a CONTROL FREAK. One can only imagine what would have after he had spent a little money on her (and start thinking he “owns” her). For whatever reason the girl did not want to go to his recommended venue... Why on earth would anyone want to compel someone else to go to a clearly uncomfortable date? The girl may not yet realize but dodged a huge Neanderthal bullet! > |
Would anyone be desperate enough for a Nigerian passport to give up sex for it?! > |
Nairalandnigga:Sounding like a uncouth and primitive misogynist! ![]() > |
PlayerMeji:Exactly! How can people leave someone in that state by the side of the road? SMH > |

> He may not realize it now... But it’s probably one of the best things that happened to him. Nonetheless, I am somewhat bothered by the mentality here... First, you are NOT “helping” someone if you are really expecting something in return (even marriage). Second, Nigerian men (thankfully not all of them) should quit treating females as property... That you “trained” your GF or any female doesn’t translate to some sort of “ownership” or proprietary rights Finally, why would anyone (men and women) want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with you? I am empathetic enough to appreciate emotional hurt, but the WORST response is desperately clinging on. The reality of life is that people grow and often CHANGE... Accordingly, when two people find they are no longer in the same space, best for all to move on. Best of luck to BOTH of them! > |

Barka00: ![]() Delusional tragicomedy... Trump’s cases are being thrown out of court left, right and center! Meanwhile, the Con Artist is raising “legal fight funds” to retire his existing campaign debts! > |
> Lazy airport workers trying hang on to their easy jobs... The know that a private operator will not tolerate their incompetence like FAAN does. Go to neighboring Cote D’Ivoire or Senegal with private concessionaires... And see how smoothly and hassle-free their airports are run (without anyone asking for “dash”). > |
