This is dangerous for a crisis state like Borno, please he shouldn't play politic with his safety.
Bear007:
He should be careful, that's not wise in a place like borno
I don't wish anyone ill of course, but if he is killed what happens? The state collapses? Government is disbanded?
Sadly, many Nigerians apparently think PUBLIC officeholders are MORE IMPORTANT than the people they are meant to SERVE.

The Governor only deserve the same sort of security (or lack thereof) that his government (and the FG) provide to the people!

Lupita (with Danai Gurira) was in Nigeria as far back as mid-2018 to specifically research the role!

Big hand for you my guy. It's basically because of this response that I had to read all the pages. Thought you wouldn't respond to the Empty comment

My Submission

Instead of people to condemn the action that triggers a reaction, they will be busy condemning the reaction. Obviously the next girl will do the same thing since the guy will be blamed.

If every mouth condemn the girl for moving around and collecting the guy's money/gift or whatever you call it since she doesn't have the intention of marrying him, perhaps some other ladies will think twice before romancing someone they cannot marry.

Either mature or not mature, It's a win-win situation for the two of them. The guy does not have to go home moody and sad, and the girl too has been able to move to the next guy.

Walk away Ko Cry away ni
AfroKnight:
Exactly. Most of the people supporting the girl are ladies. They think it’s their right to collect and dodge when it’s time for marriage. They think it is a guy’s destiny to work and spend on woman.

There are some stupîd guys here supporting her. Na dem go dey beg woman for love.

I know women who have class and dignity. They won’t waste your time if they don’t want you. They will refuse your gift if they think you want something they cannot give. Not like all these corporate beggars posing as girlfriends these days.

You have said it all bros.
bigman001:
See dem dey criticize the guy, why did she collect everything he bought for her and yet rejected him? (awon i never chop gang). She should have rejected everything from onset but she wants to play smart she will now tell her friends, i chop d maga well. Next time you wont eat what you cant swallow.
A gift is a gift is a GIFT - once given, it cannot be taken back...
Anyone who gives a purported "gift" with the expectation of getting something back (or with strings attached) does not have a pure heart.

Nonetheless, I ironically agree with the comment that it's a win-win...
Any woman who makes the MISTAKE of marrying a dude who believes he's effectively bought your love is ill-fated to an abusive matrimony. SMH

"The Lagos State Government has affirmed that there has been a massive drop in the rate of fatal accidents involving commercial motorcycles". Lol. It's like saying there has been no plane crash since the ban on airplanes. A no brainer.

I don't understand this government's specific kind of stupidity but I do admire their total commitment to it.
Okada is NOT banned...

Okada is restricted from 6 LGAs (16 LCDAs) out of 37 LGAs (57 LCDAs) in Lagos State....
That there's been such a SIGNIFICANT effect (far more than simply a proportional result) validates the policy!

FEBRUARY 23, 2020 / 11:54 AM / UPDATED 8 HOURS AGO
Huge sandstorm closes airspace around Spain's Canary Islands

GRAN CANARIA, Spain (Reuters) - All incoming flights to Spain’s Canary Islands were diverted on Sunday, airport operator AENA said, after a sandstorm from the Sahara hit the archipelago, coating the islands with orange dust and limiting visibility.

Around 144 flights have been affected so far, a spokeswoman for AENA said, adding it was unclear how long the airports would remain closed.

Some outbound services from Fuerteventura and Lanzarote were operating but all other flights into and out of the archipelago had been diverted or canceled, she said.

Nigerians love to MAJOR in the MINOR.

Yes, this was a situation that IDEALLY should not have arisen, but it was less than a week out of 365 flying days. No major airline or serious investor makes an investment decision based on such a relatively minor occurrence - especially at the same time that flights are being diverted from Heathrow and Gatwick because of weather conditions (not even to recall when Gatwick was effectively shutdown for almost a week because of drone activity). Even Dubai that is a major global hub still shuts down and diverts traffic from time to time on account of weather (sandstorms in its case). Today, as we discuss this, the airports on Spain's Canary Islands are shutdown and flights diverted because of sandstorms. These events happen!.

Meanwhile, Accra only has CAT 2 ILS (while Lagos and Abuja are in the process of UPGRADING from CAT 2 to CAT 3 ILS), which means that if the same adverse weather conditions had hit Accra instead of Lagos, it would be in the same situation. So what would be the rational basis for a long-term preference by international airlines for Accra over Lagos or Abuja (even if Nigerian passenger traffic was not SIXTEEN times greater than Ghana’s). In fact, there are many airports that decide that CAT 3 is too expensive for what would be a few days of adverse weather conditions and thus would upon a cost-benefit basis opt to forgo the CAT 3 system and instead limit operations during those few days of the calendar year.

So, yes, let’s take care of what a one-time EPISODIC occurrence and move on (hopefully with appropriate lessons lent), instead of wailing “the sky is falling” like the proverbial Chicken Little!
