He was picked by INEC, not the PDP.

The PDP fought him all the way in court and some PDP bigwigs even ended up endorsing Dapo Abiodun.

So, you can walk behind Trump on a normal day?

Remember that politicians have days when they walk in crowds and meet people. There is a term for it. And this does not happen all the time.

Obama was one of the most impersonal president the world has seen. Yet, there were instances of street walks when barricades were put on either side of the street when he passed. No one would have been able to walk behind him.
YES of course, I can walk behind Trump on any day before he became President... shocked

Abegi, quit worshipping this dude. He’s neither a Trump nor Davido. He was not even Governor-Elect yet, just some dude begging the same persons his purse-carriers are slapping around for employment. SMH

Politicians everywhere (even in the US with its extreme gun violence) walk into crowds and shake hands, take selfies and even kiss the proverbial babies. When will you people stop worshipping politicians/public servants and putting them on unwarranted pedestals. Yet same people will moan when these crude rent-seekers treat the public purse as their personal property and ordinary citizens as serfs and peasants.

You people don't want to be realistic at all.

The security guards are doing their jobs. There is a limit you can get around the person they are protecting. If you pass that limit, you will be regarded as a threat. There are instances where politicians and celebs can meet people, in which case, the security details would not be so tight. But not at this period.

Let us do it this way. Next time Davido is performing, jump on the stage and see if the security guards would pat you on the back.
Actually, fans jump on stage and hug Davido and Wizkid all the time... cheesy

Nonetheless, quit comparing Apples with Oranges. This dude is no star and is campaigning to be a PUBLIC SERVANT, which means that he will effectively be employed by the same CITIZENS that his professional purse-carriers are slapping about (I don’t imagine you yourself would go to a job interview and slap the employer). Unfortunately, some Nigerians still don’t get that basic relationship between public servants and citizens, but rather keep prostrating for public servants as if they are some sort of Kabyiesi, and thus leading them to treat you with contempt! GOVERNANCE is not only distinct from partisan politics, but neither should be treated in the same manner that we treat trading - you invest and then “reap” rewards. Workshop in 2019?? We Yoruba's should wake up please. Our mates in the east already have their own manufacturing plant and Ibom Air. Now that they're planning to fly and dominate the sky, my fellow tribesmen are planning to work inside a workshop.

Who did this to us? Who Offended Odudua? Why did Odudua cursed an entire tribe that belongs to him? Why can't he forgive us and allow his own heritage to develop? #Worried
There is a new Assembly Plant/Temp Depot for these new buses at Awoyaya in Ibeju-Lekki. Future batches of the buses will be built here, but meanwhile it will handle repairs and maintenance, along with the Depots at Oshodi (which Ambode is inspecting in the picture) and at Yaba.

So the two children become orphans?

Is it the incompetent Nigeria govt that will train the children? undecided undecided
Being a parent is a privilege and not a right, and dude pissed his privilege away. undecided

There is a distinction between being a father and a parent, and while virtually anyone with virile spermatozoa can become a father not everyone can be a parent in the meaningful sense of the term. In this instance, the kids will be better off being orphans than being raised by a father who can kill their mother, who he apparently beats up regularly (most likely in front of the kids or at least to their hearing), and then locked the corpse with the same kids in the house. Meanwhile, it is likely that (like most Nigerian families) there is extended family who can raise the kids (hopefully from the mother’s side rather than the dude’s), for even if he was not sentenced to death he would likely have been sentenced to life imprisonment anyway and the kids would therefore still be likely raised without a father in their lives. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Focusmind:
Thousands study and return. Most people returned because of their inability to secure a decent job overseas and also due to tighter immigration policies these days. Those ones that return, including me, are just numbers.

Being a graduate is different from being highly talented and genius -like. Those exceptionally intelligent ones, the innovators and inventors do not come back to the shores of this country. These are the category of people I meant and not the general children of the rich and self- sponsored students that study overseas and comes back to Nigeria to continue their hustle.

I was a PTDF scholar, studied and returned back to Nigeria because my skill is not an exceptional over there. I studied a mere Energy Finance but here we are talking of about those that have acquired the skills necessary for the job of the future.
Jelani Aliyu, who designed the globally-renowned Chevrolet Volt, came back. Funke Opeke, top of her engineering class at Columbia University and an Executive Director at Verizon, came back. Obinna Ukwuani, another top of the class graduate from MIT and creator of robotics academies in several countries, have also come back. And there are several others (and these are just the ones that I personally know of).

Nonetheless, I would always encourage anyone who has the opportunity to spend some time working and gaining critical experience abroad after their education (and obviously the better academic credentials one has, the better and greater opportunities one is likely to have) to do so before returning (in the event that they want to return), because what would most benefit Nigeria are world-class skills and capacity, not just academic knowledge and/or raw intelligence.

Furthermore, to reiterate my previous assertion, one does NOT have to be physically domiciled in Nigeria to contribute to Nigeria, and so long as folks can make a substantial and/or substantive contribution, wherever domiciled, then Nigeria has actually NOT ‘lost’ those persons.
