No matter your political beliefs or moral code, one thing is for certain, the next presidential election is a choice between a Southerner or Northerner. One thing we are known for in the South is beefing one another and behaving like ethnic clowns. Watch as the North unite behind their candidate and later on we'll start crying marginalization, Islamic agenda yen yen yen ![]() |
alphaconde:Unfortunately life is more complex than just picking fruits. I think the greatest thing we can teach ourselves and the ones to come is that life is not fair, it is not balanced. Just because you deserve something does not mean you're gonna get it, especially in politics where the last inncocent poltician died back in ancient Greece, better to focus on alliances and schemes than to believe in something imaginary like fairness and equality in politics ![]() |
DispatcherLagos:Better than resting in pieces....ode! |
DispatcherLagos:E pain am ![]()
|
DispatcherLagos:This is why I love Nairaland, guaranteed to meet one or two clowns, keep it up ![]() |
DispatcherLagos:Easier? Which party? APC is null and void, PDP will navigate to their lord and master Atiku or anybody from the North so wetin remain? In case you are thinking of one unknown party, it is better to focus on something achievable like Arsenal winning the PL in 20 years ![]() |
Rather than blame banks, we should be talking about how ignorant the average Nigerian has become. An eductaed person in this day and age but most don't know about 2FA? You don't know about security. From tokens to passcode etc, one must be crazy not to double or triple secure one's life savings. It's simple, make sure any transfer or transaction requires authorization from your phone in form of texts, also ensure you set a hard limit on your account, maximum of 250k, 500k or 1 million per day or whatever and finally require that any transaction over 500k should only be allowed to accounts you've added to your banking profile. These might sound difficult but it is very simple, your account officer should be able to guide you and if not then you better find a more sensible bank, WAKE UP PEOPLE! Money that is so hard to earn, you'll now let some scumbag wipe it all away due to negligence.....ko le work! |
Stupid idea, in a country with so many forms of injustice already, do we really want to give the dicatators more power? Universal law of marketing/sales demands persuassion, promoters/influencers are only doing their jobs nothing criminal about it. In a forward thinking country, lawmakers would go after the product makers or service providers directly, you don't penalize the sales agent. In a well regulated market, each product would have to be vetted by an agency, there would also be a consumer porotection board that monitors its performance and consumer complaints. When would we start doing things right in this country? You said make dem no call you animal but you dey jump up and down like monkey....na wa o!

Just look at the comments, you still have people defending the man. Quick analysis: 1. What would make two grown children make such a bold statement? What do they have to gain? Their mother is dead, do they want to live on the street? 2. What would make a man abandon his children for all these years and only after their mother's death come barging in and attempt to claim those children? 3. If you must use force to claim your children when nobody is dragging them with you then surely something ain't right! This is 9ja, we all know fathers are awarded custody more often than not so what happened? The most logical conclusion is that there is an atom of truth to what these children are claiming and in saner countries, they would never ever hand over such children as long as the allegation continues but in the zoo, common sense is a luxury! |
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaafrica...........Be it 9ja or Zimbabwe, one thing remains constant..........athletes should be thankful to Europe or America especially when it comes to football. Left for African leaders, these ballers would be worse off than civil servants......Salah could be doing bambi allah on the streets of Cairo by now ![]()

BuddhaPalm:That's not the power he was referring to, the power we are talking about is the might of the military and the country as a whole. Presidents come and go, some are eccentric like trump, some are inept like Biden but one thing remains true for all of them, they hold the fate of not only Americans but the world at large. Case in point, W. Bush and his lies about Iraq, not only did he get the power to destroy his father's enemies but he affected the entire world and the way things are done. Xi might have dictator like powers but even Xi no fit grab lion by the balls, U.S president will do so and still blame lion for having balls ![]() |
Just one question......................Cow meat or Chicken don finish for market?

Man like Jordan, no time for rubbish. Man be like..................

The last good samaritan died poor and lonely, word for the wise, it's a cold cold world. Husbands betray wives, brothers betray brothers, children betray parents, friends betray friends. What makes you think that boyfriend or girlfriend would be any different? If saving one's life does not make him or her loyal, trust me NOTHING will. In the end, not all good deeds gets rewarded, look at the scammer Buhari, after losing 3 times and crying, Nigerians gave him a chance and look at......................If I say anything more I'll be in big big trouble (Jose Moruinho)

Yea good stadium but terrible team, Atlanta Falcons biggest disappointment since Chelsea against bottom teams ![]() |
Do you want easy way or the hard way? I'll be frank with you, if you don't have at least 25,000 -30,000 US Dollars, don't even think about relocating to the USA at this point. Due to Covid and harsh economic realities, most people will not assist you, 90% of products and services are now more expensive and the ultimate goal which is to get your papers by marrying a U.S citizen will cost you at least $12,000 to $20,000. Everything in life requires careful planning and prayer, some people are more lucky than others but my nigga make your own luck by being prepared. America is big and diverse, if you choose a state like South Dakota or Wyoming instead of Texas or Georgia, my guy you might find yourself spending 10 years with nobody to ginger you. Comically, if you also choose New York or Chicago be prepared to spend 3 times as much as you would when compared to places like Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. I repeat, plan well well make you no fall yakata.....May the gods be with you! |
Mayeldah:But haven't you learned anything from history? The greatest changes in history are either violent or of complete betrayal. To tackle the Fulani problem you either face them head on through violence or you play coy and you defeat them from within. You keep saying enemy enemy enemy but let me tell you this now, no candidate will ever win the presidential election by calling the North the enemy.....It is equivalent to political career assassination. |
People are naturally ignorant including the governor, so we expect a veteran politician to come and out and say he would destroy the current administration's policies once elected, we expected him to say he would detroy his own party APC once elected. Whether we like it or not, politics is not for children, you don't count your chickens before the eggs hatch, let the man at least win the primary first before expecting him to challenge the status quo. I guarantee you any politician that wants to contest the president and proudly condemns the herdsmen will not only lose in the general elections but might not even get his or her own party's nomination. Good or bad, politicians must have good acting skills, you don't just blabber like a slowpoke and expect your enemies not to gang up. |
olabrad:Yet you couldn't read and answer simple questions.....Na wa o, daddy GO e be like say your head don knack ground ![]() |
olabrad:Oshey daddy GO......Werey! |
olabrad:LMAO....Empty drum, in a civilized society those questions are often the foundation of great debates.....thank God I live in a society where these type of questions are actually encouraged.....Goodluck with your ignorance! |
olabrad:This is what you got from my comment, especially the questions asked? No wonder Nigerian education system is a joke! I offered you a chance to name your preferred candidate and maybe explain how that person can win but instead of coming up with something constructive, you repeat the same sentimental crap being spewed by your brothers and sisters here on Nairaland. Your empty skull offered nothing as an alternative yet criticize people for choosing what they think is the best out of the choices available, you speak of morality but what could be more immoral than being a noisemaker/empty drum when democracy and your future is on the line? Damn, even animals have more balls than you......GTFO! |
olabrad:The problem with you is that you're not asking the right questions: 1. Who is your preferred candidate? 2. What are the chances of your preferred cnadidate? 3. What will you do to ensure that your preferred candidate is able to win the SouthWest and at least half of the North? Remember you're competing with a machine, you people underestimate the ground game, while Jagaban's entire network was built from the ground up. You might hate him or whatever but be realistic, if he is actually given the go ahead and becomes APC's flagbearer, it is GAME OVER! All these social media noises are entertaining but in seriousness plain useless to the overall goal. |
Three points of failure: 1. Wicked school officials 2. Poor/ignorant parents 3. Pathetic and wicked healthcare system In this life, it is better to not have kids than to have kids and be at the mercy of people who don't give a damn about them......R.I.P. |
The only thing that can defeat Tinubu is APC itself. If the party wants to collapse they can choose to have a civil war but if Tinubu becomes the chosen candidate, it's game over, no need for presidential election because the clowns in PDP will surely disappoint and choose Atiku again . Come to think of it, like play like play this man fit become president o......Una think say na fluke all these foreign people keep visiting him, surely they know something ![]() |
Not a lot of things gets me angry in this life but this got to be one of them! Person wey you put for house dey give you conditions and you dey comply all in the name of what? Peace? Love? Sanity? Ko ni ragba fun! Listen my friend and listen well, real men only die once but cowards die many deaths! Your situation will only get worse and nobody can save you but your damn sef! Your wife is one of those that can only see what's in it for her, your feelings, your well being is second to her needs and as long as this continue you won't be happy. The devil is already dancing kerewa around you since you mentioned plenty potential replacements dey but na you just dey ignore them. Comrade, take the red pill and be a man! Every woman has a tendency to misbehave but you must know how to press that reset button, her living in another state is not the solution, denying you sex is not the solution. Bro, if you like yourself, be frank with her, let her know you cannot continue such bullshit and be prepared for the worst case scenario. She either does what she has been thinking about and leave your ass or her brain resets and una work things out......Do not be afraid brother, think not of the kids think not of the community but of your own well being.....LET NO WOMAN, LET NOBODY FRUSTRATE YOU AS BUHARI AS FRUSTRATED NIGERIANS! Be a man like my nigga below ![]()
|
erniok:Nigga get some help....Obviously you and clowns have a deep rivalry, may God help una sort it out ![]() |
erniok:Olodo....Stop using words you no sabi. Here's definition of straw man argument: A straw man is a form of argument and an informal fallacy of having the impression of refuting an argument, whereas the real subject of the argument was not addressed or refuted, but instead replaced with a false one. Unless you're saying government regulation is not the root cause of this issue I fail to see a logical link to straw man's argument . I told you I no longer want to argue with you but you just couldn't resist the last swipe could you? ![]()
|
erniok:I'm done arguing with you, face your government and then come back and tell me what the law requires as due diligence. Your ignorance/frustration should be placed on your government not those going about their business! |
erniok:Guy I know baseless argument is in your blood so I'll try to wrap this up as simple as I can, this dicussion originated around defaulters not being labeled as fraudsters, I made mention of how it is done abroad and you highlighted the reason why it is different in 9ja hence I chose to focus on the Nigerian factors of high fraud, little to zero regulations etc. Your previous to last writeup seems to bring the discussion back to how the USA regulates financial institutions hence the criticism. If you feel that is a circus analysis then the joke is on you buddy! I mentioned simple economic principle that allows companies to charge as much as they can for their services or products, I did not have to list every single factor.....come off it! We all know demand drives pricing, no matter the cost or the fancy marketing, if there is no demand, the product/service is dead. This much I know, even you cannot argue so let's stop the tomfoolery already. We both agree that the government is the only one that can curb the excessive interest rates and unfavorable lending practices, the only point of contention here is that you call the way the lending companies operate as greed while I call it their legal and fidicuary obligation to make as much profit as possible for their stake/shareholders. Any other basis of argument is nothing but ofutufete/vanity.....Na you dey fight yourself bro ![]() |
erniok:It seems like you're confusing yourself, on one hand you don't want me to use the Western world as basis, on the other hand you mentioned in your last sentence how such lending practices would have been curbed a long time ago in the Western world. We can go back and forth but we are saying the same thing, absence of any regulatory confinement, these lending companies have not broken any laws and it is unfair to name them as greedy when all they are doing is following the number one rule of business....Make maximum profits for their share or stakeholders. The struck out portion of your statement is a BIG FAT LIE.....I won't even dignify that with a response! Moving on, do you realize these are not only money deposit banks, these loan companies could be anyone from a wealthy individual to a group odf savvy businesses. High demand actually means you can charge as much as you want, price gouging does not mean what you think. For example, if companies continue to face rising costs of production, of operation etc, these costs must be factored into the product or price of services. No law can prevent such. In fact when it comes to financial institutions the court has left it up to individual states to determine the maximum allowed interest rates. In Georgia here it is less than 20% for loans less than $3000 but for anything more than $3000 the rate is unlimited, this drastically differs from California where $10,000 or less is capped at 10% interest but could go up to 36% when an exemption is granted. All in all, these loan companies operate under the regulatory climate, if we don't want them to charge ridiculous rates then the government must regulate, you don't go after a business for following the law of the land just because you think they make too much money.....lol. |
erniok:No firstly, you were not talking about just money deposit banks....Get off that sh*t, this discussion revolves around loan companies, banks or non banks! Furthermore I don't appreciate your tone as you're spewing nonsense trying to make sense! In economics we have supply and demand, if there's high demand for a product or service, you can probably charge as much as you want, there's no difference here. In fact, you owe it to your stakeholders to do so. Until the Nigerian government steps up and puts some sort of regulation in place that limits the interest rates, it would be stupid for loan companies not to charge an arm or leg. You're an adult, nobody forced you to sign for a loan you cannot afford, do you think a Dangote with lots of assets would patronize such loan companies? Forget am! These people cater to a certain group of people hence the high risk, I'll appreciate you get over yourself and argue based on substance instead of dribbling all over the place. |
