Why I won't be voting for Buhari tomorrow

1. The OPEN corruption at Nigeria Immigration OFFICES (inflated price of International Passport) continued unabated under his watch

2. NTA is still unprofessional and attracts less view even now (he doesn't even watch NTA)

3. Nigeria Police still collect bribe and sadly under Buhari the Army joined for the first time

4. Buhari son that has not worked in his life had a multimillion naira powerbike even when his father borrowed to get his party nomination ticket just some 3 plus years ago

5. No forward thinking organisation or country will appoint someone in the age category of Buhari to turn the organization around.
You made sense till points 4 and 5. only a gullible person would believe Buhari could not afford nomination form, just like Jonathan said he had no shoes, it's call campaign talk. Point 5, how old is Donald Trump? How old is Essebsi of Tunisia? Age is not a barrier to intellect. Atiku is 72 years old, just 4 years younger than Buhari, so the age factor is irrelevant. When all is said and done, Atiku is the only candidate that stands a chance against Buhari but unfortunately he is more of the same blood sucking evil corrupt creatures which has plagued Nigeria for years. I say let's stick with Baba go slow, who knows he might not make it the entire 4 years and we can have Osi as presido....lol

Africans should learn not to take the UN seriously, in addition we should becareful of putting too much weight on what the international community thinks. Their method of operation is simple, put Africans in more and more debt, influence their political and socio economic systems and weaken them from within. The sooner our leaders wake up the better! It's not fundamental human rights infringement when billions are being embezzled, it's not when thousands are killed by Boko Haram and other terrorists; not even years without stable power supply, poor infrastructure and economic depression is enough to concern the U.N. but removal of a corrupt judge, yea that's really important...lol

The fact that a good number of Nigerians love him is proof that Nigerians love to suffer, deserve no good thing in life, and must continue to suffer and die.

my concern are those we left behind in that hopeless $hithole
You would have a valid point if not that the only person that stood a chance of defeating him is even more corrupt! There's nothing good in Buhari or Atiku, hence Nigerians prefer to stick with the slow motion old man than to move with a man known locally and internationally as chief embezzler! It's the same reasoning that Americans voted for Trump over Hilary, 16 years of PDP is stil fresh in people's minds and little is known about Sowore and others hence we are sticking with slow Baba!

discusant:
Neither Yoruba nor Igbo man has truly presided over Nigeria since northern soldiers restructured Nigeria and proliferated an undue and amazing large number of 20 states in one northern region.

Since then Fulani which control most of northern Nigeria became over represented in every political sphere of Nigeria.

Most of southern politicians don't understand that land mass or population is never used as criterion to create new political units in a country earlier formed by different regions or states.

Who can think of dividing large and most populated California and Texas into five states each, but divide smaller New Jersey and New York into two states each?

Any day any force does this, the USA MUST BEGIN TO DIVIDE THAT DAY.
Your comparison does not compute! The USA does not have 250 different ethnic groups, English is the official language with Spanish a far substitute. Christianity is the major religion hence the people are more connected. Compare that to Nigegria where you hcan have 4 or 5 ethnic groups ina state like Kaduna or Kano, you can have over 3 languages in one state, the people are less connected by a sense of patriotism or loyalty hence why the divide and conquer strategy works so well.
Celebrities › Re: Falz Reacts To Lekki Rape Case by abbey621(m): 3:41pm On Feb 09, 2019
Rape is one of the hardest crimes to prove yet it is the easiest to accuse a man of, for example crime detectives would advice that a rape victim get tested immediately via a rape kit in order for precious evidence to be gathered. In this case there is a video of the act yet if the defendants could prove she collected payment(Prostitution) or that they've acted such before or perhaps assassinate her character then the law would naturally favor the defendants. Also in a place like Nigeria, the more money you have and the more connected you are, the more likely you'll be able to get your way. All in all, my advice still goes out to the ladies, if you must go clubbing, do so with people who have your back, a female friend or two, only drink can or bottle drinks opened in your presence and above all leave once you feel you are losing control of your ability to think clearly!

Can't you guys see the writing on the wall? By this time in 2015, the hype for Buhari was overwhelming, the international community also gave a ringing endorsement but it's just not the same this year with Atiku. The only people motivated are our Eastern brothers and sisters. In the West, Buhari 70%, In the North, Buhari 70%. We've not even factored in the power of the incumbency and rigging. One of the most powerful political research company already did its analysis and gave Buhari the victory, this does not look good for Atiku. Let's all be prepared for a Buhari victory, on election night grab a few bottles of cold beer, drink pepper soup because Baba is getting another 4 years. Good or bad, the man is just loved more than Atiku....Sorry!

you are the one who diverted it to basic and what so ever
my main point was parents make it as if it was a favour to look after you when it is what there are supposed to do, they emotionally blackmail as if it was someone's job to look after you
I've never seen a responsible parent do that, no responsible parent would say they are doing you a favor by raising you but that does not mean they don't have realistic expectations of you. Every responsible parent wants their sons or daughters to succeed. They won't rest till you succeed by assisting physically, emotionally and spiritually. If you think it's too much to take care of them once you succeed then by all means feel free to abandon them. We have parents that won't even send you and will use their money on drinks, parties and so on, what will you do? Kill them? If it's your right to have parents take care of you, it is also the rights of parents to expect you to take care of them once you make it, I think this is fair, unless the child is a Bastaaard!

Mr. Agbaje you lost the election in 2015 and went incognito. You live and work in Apapa so you witnessed the gridlock everyday but remained silent. Why is it that the issue suddenly becomes priority once you are back in contention?

Any common man can see right through you that you are too soft for this job. You are less concerned about the residents of Apapa and more concerned about being governor. Go to advanced countries, the oposition never stays silent, even when they lose lose and lose, they make sure to keep the government on its toes. take of your blinkers

people being ignorant of the law it doesnt mean the law doesnt exist

i never mention any specif like 3 meals per day, most people and me said looking after them, there are your own products you look after them in the best way you can but at the same time maintaining basic human rights

having a child is like committing a crime, get caught and sent to serve your time

if you dont want to be sent to jail dont commit a crime
Then what's your argument? My main argument is that basic necessity fulfilled by parents is more than adequate, anything extra is a privilege not a right and n law can enforce that. If you agree fine, if not then please stop wasting my time and have a good day!

the moment a child is born the responsibility comes by default whether you like it not

as a parent its your responsibility to provide what is required by law at the same time you are responsible for yourself as parent children will help if you want help

not most african tradition whereby the moment your start working at eg 25 your father sort of let you take responsibility for the remaining 5 children 2 are in primary skol 2 in secondary and 1 in uni

at the same time there are asking when are you getting married ? you get married at 27 still you are responsible for your brothers and sister at 28 your parents are asking when are you having child, financially you are not ready as already you are taking care of 5 people before even your own child is born

my friend the moment we start really planning of kids poverty cycle can be broken
Look at the bold part of your comment, can you show me where in the laws of Nigeria that it states parents must provide 3 square meals for their children? Can you show me where it states that parents must send their children to universities? Go back and read my comments, you'll notice I keep mentioning basic necessities, this is what the law covers, whatever extra parents choose to do is not a right but a privilege, take it or leave it!

i still maintain my stance its parents responsibility, thats what there are supposed to do, there is no two ways about it simple, if you dont want responsibililty then dont have kid

As people we dont learn we breed kids as source of income, we take them as investments
And I maintain my stance that any parent that gives the children the basic necessity is being responsible, if they can afford extra then fine but if not let no one judge them. Fine you don't owe your parents anything, feel free to abandon them and let them rot and die...Wetin concern me!

i understood the guy grief on suing parents, law wont help him

but if you are exposed to asian culture of countries like india pakistan you would understand were he is coming from its culture thing that parents put in us to makes us believe that its priviledge to be sent to skol and look after by them whereas its not, its natures way and law

so parents they sell praise to say i sacrifice for you as if there was someone else beside them to look after you, the moment you sleep without a protection and child comes out 9 months later is it your responsibility the two of you, and with capitalism type of world we live in one has to work, to earn a living to able to feed kids etc and at the same time save for your retirement and if your can give your kids a boost to start life like setting up university funds for education or a grand to given if one reaches a certian age

black people we dont pass on our wealth usually it dies with parent if s/he was wealth, whites set up funds for their kids or gran kids
Again I'll disagree with you because you look at things at the macro instead of the micro. the average Nigerian parents do all their best to make sue their children are successful. They realize it is in their best interest if they give that child a fighting chance at succeeeding than standing by and doing nothing. This is why you have market women, meat sellers and so on, busting their butts off just so their children can feed, go to school and become great. If you say well it is their responsibility and they should expect nothing in return, I say that is BS! The same meat sellers and market women could have chosen to keep all their profits and spend it on the latest clothes, parties and so on. Furthermore you compare whites to Nigerians? If the poverty level in Nigeria swiched over to the white population they would collapse! Ordinary recession of 2006 to 2010, see as businesses collapsed and many people committed suicide. The whites are only able to set up ffunds for their kids because the resources and facilities are present. Even at that, those who set up funds or have resources left over after their deaths are less than 20% of the white population, especially in the U.S, majority of people are living paycheck to paycheck, do not be deceived!

now you are seeing the big picture boy

your parents travell to nigeria to see your granparents right meaning your parents didnt stop working to look after your parents thats was my point and still my point

you know very well that in west the system is totally different from africa, back home there is always a poor relative or someone who can help for nearly free, whereas here everyone wants to be paid for national wage and above

as africans we see it as wrong to send parents to nursing home, but like i explain before even back home, someone does the looking after for us the only difference is its either a poor relative living out of you or someone doing the favour but getting few benefits

but dont get me wrong am not against looking after the parents all am saying is to make you see both sides, most people who are in nursing homes its their money they worked for look after them when there are old meaning they prepared and planned for it they knew that their kids will be short changed if there were to pay care home, raise and plan for their own kids, built/buy house of their own etc

sometimes dont rush to criticise a culture you dont understand without taking time to understand how it started and ended up the way it is

if our systems in africa we good as the west and people living longer you would find that most family trapped in the same debate of sending to care homes or looking after them yourself
Perhaps you should heed your own advice and not rush. I never criticized a culture, I criticized the opening post and the supoorters who said, "YOU DON'T OWE YOUR PARENTS ANYTHING". We all have some type of responsibility towards our parents and family, as they do towards us. I never for once said children must abandon their career to take care of their parents, rather I said don't just abnadon them in a facility with strangers, there is nothing stopping a caring child from checking on his or her parents once every 2 months, there is nothing stopping them from hiring a live in caretaker. For goodness sake most of these parents in their old age qualify for retirement income and government benefits which takes care of 90% of their health and living costs, so it is not necessarily a financial burden. Like I said I've seen and heard about more elderly abuses than to ever risk my loved ones being treated so poorly.

I agree, in all honesty proper discipline should be a mixture of positive and negative reinforcement. I do tolerate an occassional ass whooping or spanking when the act is more than outrageous especially with boys. I'm just worried that the U.S is getting worse and worse each day! As much as Nigeria is a shithole I cannot imagine myself living forever abroad, I cannot imagine my kids marrying an akata or white woman or even worse end up as collateral damage in this gun and drug infested nation. Not true in its entirety

It's is lack of PROPER DISCIPLINE that is to blame for rotten kids in America, and even in Africa.

Parents these days are TOO TOO PERMISSIVE Of their kids, and that is a recipe for disaster
We have to be permissive because places like U.S are not only targetting physical abuse but emotional abuse. Kids are calling cops on their parents when yelled at or scolded. There is an enmancipation clause in some states where a 14 year old can move out and live on his or her own. Depending on the school, kids bear their minds to school counselors who in turn contacts child protective services and from there, say bye-bye to your kids. What I've seen that works is have those kids exposed to the Nigerian enviroment, I've seen parents bring their kids for summer holidays and have them spend few nights in darkness, heat and mosquito. The result is often miraculous, for example when a niece of my friend starts wasting food, we just play her videos of kids starving in Lagos from Youtube and she becomes sober, the guilt alone makes her behave for weeks.

its has nothing to do with lack of planning, take a long look back in africa your parents are not even directly taking care of their own parents yes the send the finance and food but look closely they always have a distance poor under age cousin living with them. look deep most of the time they would be in the village, there is always someone taking care of them while your parents are working in Lagos or should i say in town or city
What are you saying? You don't know me or my parents! My father taveled yearly to Nigeria just to see his parents, he made sure there is a skilled nurse, driver and maids to cater to their needs, I know most Nigerians don't have the means but as a whole we can not hear that mama or papa is suffering in the village and just turn a blind eye. You do not just abandon them in one facility and rely on total strangers to care for them, even if it is cousins or aunties, they are still family. Like I said before unless you've personally witnessed the abuse these people go through, you would not understand. I'm not only looking at this from a humanitarian point of view but at the survival point of view. Use Google and research the amount of nursing home deaths in America due to negligence and abuse, I've always said this, family members would get tired of having to clean up(poop and urine) for elders, how much less would it then take a total stranger who is just in it for the paycheck?

dont think with your genitals, the world as changed very much if we take it from the bible point of few adam and eve started by picking food to eat then cursed to start to plough and hunt for food, the land was giving to them without hard work now these have changed, you cant even go hunting without tress passing into someone land and get arrested, to put food on the table you have to work and what you get from work can shape how many kids you might have, having kids needs planning

As for white people you dont understand the system, you know a bit, sending parents to care home has its bad side yes, let me break it down for you, if someone parents are not sent to nursing homes it means one has to look after them right therefore one has to quit work, work thats were your money come from to look after your own kids, so the question is should you give more attention to your parents, or focus on setting the best for your kids and your own future after you retire. Sending parents to care homes, give you time to work for your kids. Do you know why african sometimes we are poor we trapped by poverty cycle were, your parents think its your responsibility to look after them and you too you pass on that mindset to your kids therefore you dont save money that will look after you when you get old, so every child would start life in (-1000USD) he inherited the debt from the father pass it to you and you pass it to your kids

Bringing a child into this world is not a sacrifice NO its a choice, if your dont want to be responsible then dont have kids, a SACRIFICE is something your are forced to do out of way or plan, were you forced to have sex without proctection or it was just ignorance not to think through, what laws require you to do once the child is born
You're naive, how long have you lived abroad? How long have you worked in the healthcare system? You credit child bearing to planning but disregard planning when it comes to taking care of your elderly parents. The reason most abroad cannot take care of their parents is simple, Greed and lack of planning. There are many options, from hiring a live in nurse to flexible work arrangements. I worked in the healthcare system for years and the amount of abuse I've witnessed or heard about is just alarming! It seems like you and the rest of the critics here don't bother to read before commenting, if a parent provides the basic necessities and cuts out the excesses either out of financial implications or being frugal, is such a parent not fulfilling his responsibilities? The sacrifice is when they choose to go beyond that. When your parents raise you with the best rsources, yes they raise you with the intention that when you are successful you would remember them but majority of it is because they love you and want you to be successful, no parent would ever pray for their children to be nuisance to themselves or the society. If your parents can only afford to give you two square meals instead of three, can only afford to have you and your siblings share the same bedroom, feel free to KILL them!

I have 3 sets of 2 questions each for you:
First set
(1) Did you grow up in a religious village where dwellers believed so much in superstition?
(2) Did your parents die before you completed your education and your relatives particularly siblings had to support your education onwards?
If your answers to both or any question above are in the affirmative, proceed to attempt the second set of questions.

Second Set
(1)Has someone called you stupid before?
(2) Where you angry when you were called stupid?

If your answers to both questions above are in the affirmative, proceed to attempt the third set of questions.

Third set:
(1) If a rich or poor couple who have been married for 10 years without an issue(and are consistently mocked by family members for being barren) eventually become parents , would the child born ever be congratulated by relatives for being born?
(2)If a rich or poor couple who have been married for 10 years without an issue(and are consistently mocked by family members for being barren) eventually become parents , would the couple ever be congratulated by relatives for finally bearing a child?

From the questions above if your answer to the former is in the negative and your answer to the later is in the affirmative please proceed to read my observation.

You are mighty brain washed slowpoke whose childhood deeply affects his logical reasoning. You are so so śtupid and very śtupid. Nairalanders should write in their history books that on 7/02/19 they witnessed a rare class of iďiot born once in every 10 million births in the person of Abbey621.
It is important to understand that parents especially in third world countries bear children to make them part of their properties, beat them when they want, have people to fight a century old inheritance war on their behalf, prevent mockery of their tribesmen for barrenness, to labour and bring proceeds to them and in some parts of Nigeria to beg on the streets and bring proceeds to them. If after bringing a child into the world as a result of the aforementioned selfish reasons you deny him of 3 square meals and a right to quality education, you are a big and mighty fool.
Do you feel proud of yourself hiding behind a keyboard and calling people stupid? People that you've never met, people that you can't bet your life on that you are actually better than them? Moving on, I know your type, you can't argue your points without first using insults to wound your opponents. Unfortunately for you, I have a big sense of humor grin grin grin. I'm not going to waste too much energy on the rhetoric you spewed above, I'm going to keep it simple. If your parents only provide you with two square meals instead of three, SUE them! If they bought used clothes for you or asked you to wear clothes from your older siblings, SHOOT them. If they refused to buy a big house and instead you have to share a bedroom with your siblings, send Ogun to KILL them and finally if all they could afford is to see you graduate from secondary school and you can't hustle to get into Polytechnic or University, TIE them up and DUMP their bodies off of third mainland bridge.....Since you want to be a hero and believe you have some high moral ground, follow the advice above and enjoy your life man, I ain't got time for your tomfoolery!

Yes it is a child's right to be fed, clothed, housed and sent to school. If you are not willing to do that as a parent, then you have no business giving birth. The child did not ask to be born. Just because you have reproductive organs does not necessarily mean you have to reproduce! The world currently has 7.1 billion people living in it! The human race is not at the brink of extinction.

People with your mindset will end up raising children that will grow up to resent you and possibly cut you out of their lives forever. If you are not in a position to be a good caring parent, do yourself and mankind a favour and get a hysterectomy!
Go back and read what I wrote and you'll see that you've jumped the gun. Getting fed does not equal 3 square meals, heck growing up we ate most times 2 meals per day and we no die! Most of us did not have our own room, we often shared with other siblings, some people even lived in a single room with their parents, the world did not end! In regards to clothes, if your parents bought you bend down and select or asked you to wear handmedowns from your older siblings, you dare not complain! Your parents owe you basic education, which is all the way till you graduate secondary school, anything after that is luxury. I know we live in a world of snowflakes and over emotional beings but I've yet to see the police or government that would compel a parent to do more than the basic things I've listed above,, the fact that parents often do more than thesee things is a testament to the love they have for their children and has nothing to do with any imaginary rights many children nowadays feel entitled to! I actually grew up to resent my father because while he provided the basic, he did not spoil us with luxury, guess what, I completely overlooked the amount of hours he spent hustling so that we could have a place to stay, food to eat and clothes to wear. He never frowned and I never knew he was robbed three times while driving a taxi. I never knew of the long weary days and night, all I knew was this, I was not enjoying the things other kids were but thank God, today I've come to appreciate those sacrifices. I've come to love him more than or as much as my mom, that's reality!

You can keep deluding yourself that parents owe their kids mountains and moons but as along as a parent provides the basic necessities, anything above that is not a RIGHT but a privilege, I'll send my kids to the best schools, give them the best clothes as long as they behave themselves and continue to work towards self improvement, I take those privileges away when they fail to play their part, if that does not conform to the snowflake culture nowadays then so be it!
