I thought they said the election was igged in the North and people did not vote. So this man is admitting people actually voted for Buhari regardless of their benefactor. My people in the South hope you are learning from the Almajiris ![]() |
It was just a flawless victory, less than 400,000 votes separating them and Atikulators were still holding on to hope but then came KKK, like the card game Whot, General market(Kaduna) + Pick 2(Kano) + Pick 3(Katsina), next thing we heard was hold on, hold on semi last card, last card. By checkmate some atikulators don land for clinic. Chai....the heart of man is wicked, true true the North does not forget...Triple gbosas for the almajiris, you hardly see them on social media but na dem dey run things.....From 400,000 to 4 million HAAA....there is God o ![]() |
Delivar:Stop spewing trash! America's population is 300 million but voting populace is about 235 million. Out of the 235 only about 60% actually voted. So only about 140 million people voted, if you think 3 million is an insignificant amount then you're nuts! Case in point Bush versus Gore year 2000 presidential election in which less than 20,000 votes decided the election. Moving on, I never said education does not matter, I only said it matters less when the people are suffering and hungry, this applies to all aspect of life. For example religion, who is likely to convince a homeless and hungry sinner to repent? A pastor that offers a warm meal and a place to stay while preaching the gospel or a pastor that just preaches the gospel? Yes Americans are more educated than Nigerians but still make the same stupid choices everyday, a large number still have drug and other addictions, a large number still kill themselves violently and people are still starving on the streets. If you think America is all about glamour everywhere then you're delusional. My Arnold and Trump reference is to show that when it comes to voting people will place their immediate physiological needs above common sense. It is why the Great philosopher Aristotle puts pathos(ability to persuade or emotional conviction) over logos(logical reasoning), I'm not just your average Nigerian abroad, I don't get my information from just CNN! |
Delivar:If I were you I would just keep quiet! Reagan was a politician before becoming president. He was successful in some aspect but woeful in others, you can lookup Reaganomics. You watched the election but did you see the exit polls? Educated men and women voted overwhelmingly for Clinton. She actually secured more votes than Trump and if the U.S used the Nigerian system of voting, Clinton would be president so your analysis is faulty. |
Buhari: Pick 2(Kano) Pick 3(Katsina) Atiku: Am I a joke to you ![]() |
Profwriter:Yea and we have court systems set up to contest the results. Setting up parallel government and asking people to disobey is easy way to have many people killed or injured. The funny thing is that FFK and Atiku will hide along with their families. It is the average citizen who are poor and/or barely getting by that would feel the full effect of the violence. Another point of view: If Atiku had won would you say the election was free and fair? |
theoldpretender:Yea which proves my point, people can be educated all they want but pressing needs will always take over. Common sense logic will always come second to the need to be satisfied, need to feed, need to be happy. |
Delivar:I hate when people argue blindly. Go and check the budget of California before Arnold and after, dude ran the state into insolvency. Trump and Buhari are around the same age, if we wanted to go by the educated electorate there is no way Trump would ever be president. Which again points to the fact that education matters less than other pressing needs. People where fed up of the establishments, things were not as rosy as the 90s hence why a clown like Trump triumphed over a seasoned politician like Clinton. |
Delivar:You can't live in a more advanced nation than where I've been living for the past decade, so don't bother wasting your energy. Even as advanced as the U.S, they still suffer from uneven distribution of wealth, 1 in 5 American kids still suffer from hunger and many households find themselves homeless. The most educated societies are not necessarily the most peaceful. Ekiti people are more educated than 70% of the Southeastern or Southwestern states yet they suffer the same poverty rate or even worse. Alabama boast of the best medical facility in the U.S, they also have the best military program yet the sate is regarded as one of the most backward in the U.S. Finally an enlightened and educated society like that of the U.S voted in an actor Swarchenegger and an entertainer Donald Trump to lead a state and country respectively, if this is not the best example of educative people choosing to satisfy an immediate need instead of making logical sound decisions then I don't know what is.....lol |
Delivar:Are you familiar with the saying, " Hungry man is an angry man"? Read throughout history, hungry people educated or not are more likely to behave reckless than well fed people. It's a classic tactic used by military leaders to conquer the enemy. For Nigeria, the average market woman, conductor, pure water seller etc., would gladly sell their votes for a bag of rice and 1000 Naira. It's not that they are not educated to know right from wrong but because selling their votes satisfies an immediate need, which is hunger! |
jesusjnr:If your analogy is referring to the USA as calm weather then you know nothing! Gun violence at an all time high, drug infestation, racism and much more! |
Delivar:I only agree with you partially. What's the use of education when you are dying of hunger, being intimidated at the polls and so on? APC studied the PDP model of election engineering and mastered it with full force. Elections are won not by educated or posh but by thugs and die hard hustlers who see their own lives as a worthy sacrifice for those politicians. It's a very sad state of mind......Very sad! |
jesusjnr:Yet Trump was able to keep the economy at a steady pace or positive growth. Yet despite the personal flaws you highlighted above, people are not dying of hunger, lack of jobs and so on. I think Nigerians would take a Trump over any of our leaders anytime....lol |
Egbetayo:Keep deceiving yourself. Are you saying Tinubu is not rich enough to have money delivered to his home? Are you saying those who have money delivered to them are all corrupt? I remember an uncle of mine had over 500 million delivered to him by his bank and he was just a mere CEO of an oil company. |
Shift.....................................................................................Shift some more..............................................Faint #SaiBaba |
isahsalee:Yea as if actual votes were tampered with. Staining the opponent and spreading lies against them through propaganda is not the same as actually manipulating the result or tampering with ballot boxes/voting machine....lol |
The only reason 'O to ge' succeeded in Kwara is the fact that the opposition was far better than Saraki. In Lagos, this is not the case. Tinubu is very smart, he does not rule with absolute tyranny, he listens. When he wanted to replace Fashola, he listened to the people and changed his mind, when the people and party members got tired of Ambode, he listened and made the necessary adjustment. All it takes is for Sanwo-Olu to replicate what Fashola did and Tinubu's position would be cemented for another 8 years, hate him or love him, he is truly Jagaban! |
mistyebby:I'm a Lagosian, father is Yoruba, mother is Edo. |
mistyebby:Another deflection, you don't want equity, you want control! I'm not debating with you that Igbos are peaceful, I mean peaceful people are those who blow up pipelines, threaten the federal government and shout marginalization until one of their brothers or sisters gets power then all is well....I mean peaceful people are those who claim Northerners are terrorists yet jump like bingo when a Northerner dangles a bone in front of them. Peaceful people are those that can't decide whether to break apart from a country or continuing holding out hope for an Igbo presidency......Peaceful people like mama peace looting the treasury with her husband yet failing to actually help the Igbo cause.......Come to think of it, "peaceful people" sure likes to call another man's land their own while abandoning their ancestrial land? I have two peaceful people as tenant owing house rents and refusing to pack out, yea these peaceful people are something else ![]() |
mistyebby:Even your Igbo brothers and sisters would disagree with you that there was equity under gEJ, no Biafra, revenue sharing was still the same, Niger-Delta still in chaos. Atiku mature Northerner? So from 1999 to 2007, the Igbos were not marginalized? . Over 4 years of GEJ and your people still no get equity, you people hate eachother more than any ethnicity, sad but true! |
mistyebby:Did you have equity under GEJ or was GEJ a Northerner? Did Atiku recently denounce the North and pledge allegiance to the South? Funny people, una eyes go clear soon! |
Mizwisdom:Many children that he did not take care of, it's not only about reproduction but caring enough to mold those children into successful human beings through financial, emotional and physical support. |
This is what we call last minute desperation.....If Buhari does not win by at least 5% tomorrow then I'll accept that social media votes is truly more powerful than grassroot but we all know how e dey go. Marketwomen, traders, almajiris and so on, hardly have time for social media.....Sorry Atiku! |
yongg:No you misinterpreted what Buhari meant! Ballot snatchers are violent people, no ane person walks into a voting ward and steals the ballot peacefully, so it is either they are met with police force or the people meet them with jungle justice either way they are going to pay with their lives. |
yongg:Have you ever been where ballot boxes are snatched or voting disrupted? Do you want to know the common theme? They don't snatch using feathers or by tickling, they come more times with thugs using guns and/or other dangerous weapons. So you are telling me it is okay for police to be shot at or killed, all in the name of giving a ballot snatcher due process in court? I mean if you can volunteer yourself and/or your loved ones to command some polling booths that would be nice, if not then let the people who are willing to protect the ballot boxes with their lives do so in PEACE! |
So are we saying if you work or own a company that prints election materials you are barred from ever contesting in an election? If so, can someone point me to where it is written in the Nigerian Constitution? Contractors, businessmen, lobbyists are all Nigerians and are eligble to contest as long as they qualify. |
5 kids in 10 years is more than enough. Did you do family planning after? It might be that she does not want to get pregnant again, you need to communicate your grievances and also hear hers. If you truly love her, you'll stop forcing yourself on her and truly care about more than your own physical needs. Body, soul and mind, all three must function properly in order to achieve equilibrium/peace. |
I've personally witnessed two different ballot boxes snatched in one election, these people do not come with empty hands, they come most times guns blazing and/or machete. If you have a problem with violent force against such offenders then you are part of the fantastically corrupt elements in Nigeria, it's better you face your dsocial media activism and leave ballot boxes for INEC officials. |
jumobi1:Incorrect! Depending on how you snatch the ballot box, it might be through force or violence which must be met by equal or greater force. I've seen where ballot boxes were snatched using guns and knives, especially in Mushin were I grew up. |
The problem with Chelsea is from the top. The board and the chairman are out of touch with reality. If we are to understand clearly, Mourinho, Conte and now Sarri are bad coaches but Zidane is a good coach? Even with 200m and liberal transfer policies, the board still puts players above the coach, a tactic with severe negative consequences. Get rid of that evil woman from Russia and let the coach get the players he wants! |
Smartgunna:Thanks for proving my point, get well soon okay! |
