Please don't say SW.
Many Yorubas condemned VP Osinbajo's unpresidential gaffe.

For a whole VP to campaign on ethnic division shows desperation on APC.

In normal countries, Osinbajo would have faced impeachment.
Abeg go sit down! Which normal country? He is the vice president and naturally would want to be president in 2023. For this to happen, he had to galvanize his base/people. What is the impeachable act here? When Trump campaigns in the South and speaks about illegal immigration, you would impeach him for that? You people utter the silliest of things sometimes...lol

Your type always try to find a non-intelligent way of holding fast to what you think. Thank God for Christmas. If not for Christmas, Easter, if not for Catholicism, if not, I wonder how many people that will hear about Christ today in thr world. It's all about Christ and many people in different culture and regions of the world come to hear about him through these festivities. Happy Christmas. Enough enjoyment to be shared in a special way today.
Your stupidity is alarming! What you wrote has nothing to do with the topic, we are talking about distortion of history through religion, you are talking about the gospel, be QUIET!
Christianity Etc › Re: Christmas Is A Celebration For Pagans – Daddy Freeze by abbey621(m):

This guy doesn't agree with Freeze

I received a personal message on twitter by someone asking my take on celebration of Christmas. I took time in 1997 to study the origin of Christmas and the role Constantine played. As some of us may know, the origin of Christmas, could be traced to ancient
Rome. Christmas was a day for celebrating the Sun god. However, because Constantine was a Christian, the day was changed to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ after a long battle with the Roman native believers.. Prior to this time, professed Christians were slaughtered on the day of the sun god celebration. This was about 386 AD. Many people claim that Christmas should not be celebrated because it has links to roman gods in origin. If we must talk about origin, do you know that every day of the week is dedicated and named after a roman god? SUN day, MOON day, Tool sday,WODEN sday,THOR sday,FREYJA sday SATURN sday? all names of Pagan gods. We all use these days of the week, Sunday services we all attend has its origin from the Roman god. Whether Our Lord Jesus Christ was born on 25th December called Christmas day or not is immaterial to me. The most important thing is that a Saviour was born to salvage mankind from God's wrath .If Christ was not born, my life would have been miserable. Thank you Father for giving us Jesus Christ. "The earth is the lords and his fullness thereof." Everyday belongs to God including Christmas day. May I also state that culture and traditions have always been borrowed in history. That a land was used by pagans in the past doesn't stop Christians from building a church on the same land. What is the origin of birthdays? We all learnt to celebrate our birthdays because we grew up seeing people do it. The greatest gift is choice and that choice is to lead us into daring and innovative decisions to better our lives.
Above all, Christmas should be for those who know Christ because its about Him. If You don’t know Him and celebrate. You are probably celebrating something else.
What you wrote does not absolve it of its pagan origin. Sunday, Monday and all the other days has nothing to do with Christianity hence the reason why all religion recognize the days. December 25th however marks the birth of Jesus which is blatantly FALSE, since the Bible teaches us to walk on the righteous path and embrace the truth, isn't it hypocritical to embrace such FALLACY?

I can't say if these evils occuring in this administsration will happen or not under Atiku. It is when he gets there, we will know. If he does same, let him be voted out until we get it right. My message is that we eschew tribalism and vote based on performance and fulfilment of promises. Once our politicians know that Nigerians are not sentimental but vote based on performance, they will sit up and not take us for granted. God bless Nigeria.
Are you saying a VP of 8 years had no control over certain aspect of the economy? Are you saying such a person had no control over the extra judicial/ethnic/religious killings? Ok I accept Buhari has failed, must we recycle another past leader? Is the solution to failure adding more failure?

lol nobody is going to buy forte oil for 2 or 3 times the amount. Usually when liquidating shares of this size they will be sold at a fraction of the cost.

Also Bezos may have shares in multiple companies but Amazon is his meaning he has the largest amount of shares. when a majority share holder of a public company liquidates his shares , its never a good thing. Time will tell...
You are operating on assumptions, historically in cases like this you POV is wrong more than right, case in point:

1. Google & Motorola
2.Facebook & Whatsapp
3.Facebook & Instagram
4. Oracle & Peoplesoft
5. IBM & Redhat

These companies were far larger than Forte Oil and they sold for huge profits. Like I said earlier sometimes it just makes sense to sell e.g new business opportunity, eliminate competition etc.

Actually when the owner of a public company liquidates his holdings, it's never a good thing at the very least, it's a sign of a lack of confidence.

Imagine Bezos saying he is selling all his shares in Amazon, that amount of shares alone will saturate the market and drop the stock price.
Do you know how many companies Bezos, Gates and so on have shares in? Take Warren Buffet for instance, he has divested from more companies than all the top 10 Billionaires combined and he never went bankrupt. The point is simple, if you own a company that is worth 100 Billion and you have someone willing to pay times 2 or 3 of the amount, sometimes it is better to take the deal and build 3 separate companies especially when you see another sector with better potential.

No wonder the north is dominating the whole county bcus what we have are educated and unreasonable illiterates, weak youths and tribal bigots. Something as sensitive as this and nobody is doing anything, instead, they! want to vote him in again. Na wa o
Remove the sentiments from your mind and ask what proof? If you put Buhari/Jubril in the court of law, are the proofs submitted by Kanu enough to convict him? If the answer is NO then we are just playing a circumstantial game! The signatures are not solid proofs, try signing a document 10 times every day for the next 7 days and tell me you do not see a slight variation.

The speech is unbecoming of an educated Vice-president who doubles as a pastor. If 'playing one's card aright' is to vote for a government that watches as citizens are brutally massacred, that wants people to give up their ancestral land in order to live, that refuses to obey court orders, that goes against political opponents while supporters run riot, that refuses to take responsibility for its actions, under which poverty and joblessness has increased, that tries to suppress critics etc, then that is evil card. If one supports evil because of what he wants to gain, he might end up being a victim. Thanks.
Most of what you just stated happened under PDP also, so who is the saint, who is the sinner? Can you confidently say most of these things would not happen under Atiku? If we are all honest with ourselves, we would know they are all birds of a feather, so no need for fear mongering or baseless rhetoric!

The agreement was signed under GEJ, the question should be why did he fail to pay for 2 years? Why has the failure continued under Buhari? Even the Atiku and Sowore and Co. seems to have education as one of the less important priorities. If a Ph.D holder and an alledged illiterate have the same mindset in regards to education then the END IS NEAR!

First I won't accept you calling rashford and martial mediocre players..
If not for Mourinho, rashford was England's hottest prospect before he came and Martial was Manutd best player in van gaal last season..
Who is sane or Jesus,I'm not gonna talk about KDB or Aguero because they are fantastic players but give Guordiola martial and see, just look at what he has done with sterling, sane,Jesus.
Mourinho is bad at man management,he never improves players!
That being said,I'm saying it again that why didn't Mourinho make it clear that he needed experience CB??
Why will you make the board buy players and the next moment, you label them rubbish and ask for another..
Just like what he did against derby county to Jones and bailly, saying he knew the team was out when the penalty was theirs to take, like what kind of manager says that?
Lukaku had a decent game last season,he scored 28goals in all competition, even though it was a bit low,he still did when we consider the amount of chances the team created..
The board has given him everything he asked for, just because they didn't give you a CB,you start to bemoan
Even in life,we can't get everything we want so we have to make due with what we have..
When every press conference, you're always saying"the team is playing badly because you weren't given a CB",how do you expect to build the confidence of the ones you have?
He criticise them everyday and he expect them to step on the pitch to play for him??
Never!,If you were the one will you?
I'm not even going to argue against your epistle because it is purely subjective and based on your point of view. The bold part is the main talking point, how do you know he never made a CB a priority? Throughout the transfer market United went for at least 2 to 3 defenders but negotiations fell apart. Do you know something the rest of us don't?

They didn't back him but he spent over 400m in three transfer Windows, why didn't he make his priorities clear from the beginning that he needed experience CB like Guordiola did??
He made the club buy bailly and Lindelof, then he's saying he wants another CB,when the ones you bought didn't improve or are not even playing..
Mourinho is the architect of his failure at Manutd!
And he was never the right man for the club!
I supported him though but I know his time will also be short-lived,imagine Mourinho telling the board that he doesn't want to work with a DOF,he lost the entire dressing room and the team in a whole!
I agree he was the architect of his own downfall but we are not talking about 3 seasons, we are talking about this season, when you are the challenger you spend more especially knowing that last season injuries were the biggest cause of failure. Bailly was an excellent buy but injury is the problem, throughout Mourinho's career he has always been a big spender, that's how he succeeds. The club knew this before signing him, so that's not an excuse. You don't spend 50m in the transfer market and hope to defeat a team like Man City for the title. Man City that spent over 150 million on defense the last 3 seasons knew exactly what they were doing, they knew they already had the fire power up front so defensee was crucial, for Man U, they had NOTHING, Rsashford, Martial and Pogba are mediocre overhyped players that should never ever be compared to KDB, Aguero and Sane/Jesus. When it comes to player transfers it's all a gamble, who would have thought Lukaku and Pogba would flop? I think it is unfair to put all the blame on Mourinho, the next United Coach will face similar problems, gone are the days of SAF, these days if you don't have a solid backing like Man City, you must be willing to be patient like Liverpool. Look at Klopp, what did he win? Is he not spending? Yet he remains! Mourinho's downfall was being confrontational and expecting too much from his players, if he had just behaved like a mumu and told the board he needs 4 to 5 years to build a championship team, I'm sure things would have been better....lol

Mourinho was given everything he asked for,all because he didn't get a defender,he started to make noise..
Guordiola also made it clear that he needed a special midfielder,A fitting replacement for fernadinho, they lost out on Fred and jorginho, why didn't he make a noise about it??..
Mourinho was never the right man for manutd!
No he was not given everything he asked for! He was not backed in the transfer window this season and for a defensive coach, defenders and strong midfielders are everything. If you watched United last season you would know they had many issues with injuries especially to defenders, I'm not even a United suporter and I knew they were going to have a hard time even before the season began. It's the same exact situation with my club(Chelsea), we failed to buy a proper striker, I knew we were not going to compete for the title this season. Everyone loves to blame the coach but Mourinho has never been a coach that flourish on restrictions. Guardiola had the backing of the club, the right players for an attacking club, without those midfielders they still would have bossed the premier league as evidenced by their standings now, take away his attacking players through inury and what not then ask him to win, you would have the same situation as Man U. Name a United defender in the top 20 in the world? NONE! Top 30? NONE! You have Pogba dancing around like a little girl, you have Lukaku looking for GPS and Fellaini is your best player. Really Fellaini? FELLAINI cheesy cheesy cheesy

Mourinho was never a perfect fit for Man U, you don't send a defensive mastermind to an attacking fortress and expect him to perform well. Even Ferguson would not have had the huge success if he coached during this era where you have at least 6 teams capable of winning the league. Gone are the days where 2 or 3 teams dominate, if you don't back your coach during the transfer market, you get FAILURE! Mourinho was also the architect of his own demise, the English press are a bunch of entitled pricks, you don't give them more fire power by openly criticizing your players. Anyways I'm sure it is only a matter of time before the special one gets another gig at the top, perhaps on a national team, don't worry Mou, you are $23 million richer, enjoy the vacation grin grin grin

The fact that he no longer serves you doesn't mean there should be acrimony between the two parties. A boy served me for 6 months, when I noticed his intolerable stubborn attitude, coupled with disrespect to customers, I called his people and told them I was no longer interested with staying with him, else he'll spoil the other boys for me. While he was with me, I ensured he wrote WAEC and NECO.

I still maintain cordial relationship with the family, they understand the problem their son has, he has been with 2 other different masters who both sent him home after 2 months and 5 months respectively. I took a leap of faith with him, yet it didn't work.

Last I heard, he is in Alvan Ikoku COE studying for tertiary education with the WAEC he acquired under my roof. I was happy when I heard that and I wish him well.
Sounds like you developed a personal relationship with the boy, this paticular case, the master did not. You're taking it too literal and generalizing... my 7yo niece is actually more musically inclined than visual stimuli, she lip sync and does karaoke with every song she hears,to the extent that we only watch HipTv/listen to some songs when she's confined in her room. She might not understand the lyrics verbatim now but she will be able to put the pieces together sooner rather than later, and when she does, she figures, woooww, since it was in a song then it must be right! Kids don't forget lyrics to songs.

You're actually under mining the influence of music and songs in adolescent lives, even most of these cartoons like Dora, Sophia the first have all employed using songs to connote and drive home their plots, which wasn't really much of a thing in past decades, because kids learn more from songs, heck, its more FUN to sing along!
While your situation is believable, it does not represent majority of kids in Nigeria. I did not undermine music rather my point of critique was the point made about music being more influential than what kids see around them either in real life or movies/tv shows. You would even notice I used examples of Mushin where I gew up and so on. Like you said kids could sing along but not really know the full meaning till later on but when it comes to movies every kid is able to play a part such as the bad guy or the good guy. I also used an example of Fadeyi Oloro, if you have many Yoruba friends bring up that name or Abidja, you would be amazed at just how influential those characters were back in the days. I think most people are not able to understand how delicate growing up in harsh surroundings can really be so they find it hard when artiste write about the ghetto and all the vices it brings. Yes yahoo, ritual killings, 419, brothels and so on do exist, it is part of the Nigerian society whether we like it or not, it is a problem that is not going away and I can never fault any artiste for writing about their reality!
