PoliticsRe: Runing Mate: Tinubu Meets APC Chairman, 11 Northern Governors by abbey621(m): 5:10pm On Jun 09, 2022
eldoradoxx:
He will be testing the resolve of more than 100 million Nigeria Christians scattered all over Nigeria and I will dare to say that next election would be likened to a religious war if he goes that path.
The difference between the Muslim populace and that of Christians is that the Muslims are core religious bigots while the Christians are likely to compromise. Out of the 100 million that you mentioned only 15 million are actual registered voters. Out of that 15 million, at least 5 million will vote based on quality, physical location and other sentiments before considering religion.

A Muslim/Muslim ticket might not be the worst thing considering he needs the Northern votes more than those in the South. There's nothing he can do to get votes in the SE/SS, the SW is already locked down for him regardless so his major focus should be on places like Kano and Katsina with the biggest voting populace.

You are right but this will take long time. Nigeria is too divided. Coming together is very difficult. But it is not impossible!
Yep, we need to start pumping money, time and energy into a youth party, if the youth are organized with passion and resources, we can convince the marketwomen, the traders , the agberos not to sell their votes for 2,000 Naira.

My brother, the level of voters illiteracy in Nigeria shocked me to my bone marrow. I tried to engage few people on electoral processes and what it requires in Nigeria, 80% of our voters do not know much. They only follow bandwagon. It is scary!!!!
How much money and time have you spent educating these people? Even abroad with all the millions they spend on voter awareness, voter registerations and education, half the country still voted for Trump TWICE! Remember pathos and ethos, where logic fails people tend to use emotions. Until the youths form a party of their own and are able to match these old men money for money, persuassion for persuassion and power for power, we ain't ready yet!

Amechi showed he was truly a man and never stepped down for anyone.

Anyways, that's Nigeria for you because in sane climes, there is no way a tinubu can defeat an osibanjo or Amechi.

Its now up to Nigerians to make their choice and I pray the best candidate with good intentions for Nigerians win..

Go back and read what I wrote...

At no point did I exempt Obi from corruption sir! Matter of fact, I believe all politicians in Nigeria are corrupt.

I clearly said both candidates literally are on the same level of leadership competency but Obi trumps Tinubu on the clear basis of sound health, and being less likely to spend his entire tenure getting treated outside Nigeria!

Seriously though... What learned young man will be presented with Tinubu and Obi, and not pick the latter?!! Oh well, some of you Nigerians are a special breed! cool
It's not about what you wrote specifically but what you responded to. Furthermore despite Buhari's age and health issues, if he only gave a damn like maybe achieve one(electricity, security, exchange rate) of his millions of promises we would not be so harsh on him. The mistake most of una still dey make be say, you think Nigerian politics na theory. I would ask you to go back to the days of GEJ and look at Obi, TELL ME HE WOULD NOT ENCOUNTER THE SAME PROBLEMS OR WORSE!

You need a political heavyweight to deal with the Northern cabals, being mumu to them or trying to befriend them without a backbone of your own is a disaster waiting to happen. Una keep shouting Obi Obi Obi, where's the experience? Nigeria no be Anambra o, without a proper coalition and machinery, una just dey deceive una sef. You asked which learned young man would vote for Tinubu over Obi? The answer is simple, the type that is grounded on reality and not fairytales. The type that is not fooled by social media warriors but careful enough to realize the chess game, Tinubu might not be as physically fit or healthy as Obi but he knows how to put the right people in place, he knows how to select people that can open up the economy, attract investors, etc . Supporting Obi is nice and cute but it is void of reality, it is a wild dream that sounds good on paper but implementing it becomes a nightmare. Remember it is easy to dream a dream but so much harder to live it!

You just succeeded in explaining why Peter Obi is the best option for this nation at this point!

Offshore accounts of which Tinubu has none?!! Tell me another thing!

Coalition with technocrats to rebuild this nation?!! Obi still remains equal to that task!

Integrity or made enough not to touch the nation's assets?!! How does Obi not surpass Jagaban?!!!

Honestly, Obi should be the top contender ahead of Tinubu... The fact that he is even less likely to spend half of his tenure getting treatments abroad compared to Jagaban makes any sane person wonder why we are even discussing or arguing this! It's just common sense!
This is just gibberish, Obi's advantage was supposed to be his non corrupt/moral abilities but you're here defrending his offshore accounts, this says so much about the hypocrisy of Obi's supporters. Here's a hint: you can't accuse Tinubu of ocrruption when your candidate is equally as guiilty. Stealing is stealing, the amount does not matter!

People will have varying reasons to rejoice at this news and subsequently throw in arms and legs to get BAT in power in 2023.

For the average supporting folk they are either doing so for their self interests which understandably they'll protect or just simply foolish - thinking that the change that didn't come since 1999 (23 years ago) will now happen in 2023. The same foolishness they've lived with all these years.

Please know that BAT will only strengthen all the corrupt institutions and individuals he has created in the last 25 years. He gives you egg to collect a cow.

So when you vote this corrupt despot know you are helping in strengthening Agbérós, touts, thieves and all that is associated with his empire who have taken properties, lives and our future from you and I for a significant part of our lives.

You are also a big part of Nigeria's problems and you contributed significantly to why it will never be great.

Enjoy your loot and success under a corrupt soul-less regime to be like BATs' but know your children and their children to come will pay the price some how some day.
embarassed
Are you done or do you want to ramble some more? If Nigerians were looking for non corrupt and perfect leader then there's no point in voting as none of the aspirants qualify. Yes not even Obi with his offshore accounts! When will you people realize this election is about reality, enough of this fantasy that some elected person would just wave a magic hand and poof we all start to enjoy, it ain't happening!

We need a leader that is already self sufficient with a track record of uniting all regions. HE DOES NOT NEED TO BE A SAINT! Just someone with a political mastermind, the ability to attract international and regional investors and the balls to actually stand up to the cabals. Forget all those morality talks, Buhari has damaged the country so much that we need someone strong enough to get us back to the days of Obasanjo. As bad as that may sound, those days look like paradise compared to what's happening now. Unless Obi is able to build a coalition with some of the best political minds in this country, the best choice is still Jagaban. I NO RATE ATIKU AT ALL, IN FACT THERE'S A REASON ALL HIS BOSSES BLOCKED HIM AT EVERY TURN!
PoliticsRe: APC Primary: This Is The Time To Take Revenge, Tinubu Tells Buhari by abbey621(m):
As predictable as ever, first they said he won't win the nomination, Buhari has his own pick and Northern agenda then they said Osibanjo is the chosen one. They salivate over the emergence of Lawan and now when their eyes don clear, it is all about tabloids and propaganda to ensure city boy does not make it. The children of hate earned their masters in political science on Nairaland and Twitter while Jagaban showed them that the square root of zero is ZERO!

Even people wey no be party members dey analyze party elections as if na them be Buhari. The smellos will use everything from age, tribe, religion and health to make their predictions and then cry when Tinubu pulls a Donald Trump on them and shows them what true political machinery looks like. Oh so he feared being booted out, caved in and watched as the country plundered into darkness. Again no facts just sentiments, forget Osibanjo that one don cast, how has Obi shown that he can pacify the North without neglecting the South? How has he shown that he can be better than GEJ? Is he able to stand up to the cabals? One man cannot run a government, who are the people in his network?

On what basis? If anything, he'll perform worse! We need someone that gives the North something to think about, someone with enough strength to stand up to them and enough wisdom to woo them over. Osibanjo is a kid when it comes to Nigerian politics, they would chew him up and spit! I'll be fine with a BAT or Obi, anybody but Atiku!

RomanceRe: Why Is It Hard For A Man To Forgive A Woman Who Cheated? by abbey621(m): 9:34pm On Jun 07, 2022
To understand the root of the issue, one must understand the role of a man in a relationship. What is expected of him? Provider, security, innovator, an epitome of consistency. What is the woman's role? Divine, supporter, helper, queen, morally superior, the glue that holds everything together, the home maker.

Simply put it this way, men have long held women on this imaginary ladder, we are so consumed by our mothers and grandmothers way of life back then that we believe women of nowadays still aspire for such faithfulness or greatness. When the woman eventually cheats, this perception that we built is shattered and we finally see the woman for what she represents. We finally see her as morally weak aka the same as most men. Unfortunately this is not what most men want, we don't shower you with gifts, let you press our mumu button just so that you can disappoint us .

In conclusion, even if a man can forgive such attrocity, he would not hold such a woman dearly again and by the way, even tho women forgive they never ever forget! They stay because they still see the upside in the relationship, trust me if you give most women financial freedom, they would never ever forgive a cheat. Women are more vindictive than most people know, na something make crayfish bend!

So Sir, not really. The immigration acts and consitution didn't back it but also gave room for it's interpretation, that's why they needed an executive order to stop it and why initial Courts judgements before the Executive order were subject to interpretations.

The fact that the other Presidents choose not to enforce it with executive powers is based on discretion Sir, not immigration act.
I don't know what you're talking about, we are talking about deportations here not separation at the border. I think you're mixing up two different things. America dey deport people even before Trump, the questiuon here is what they do with U.S citizen children of parents getting deported.
