Fresh out of NYSC in 2018, I started a remote job in the blockchain industry as a social media moderator. I was hired by a Canadian firm but my department was headed by a boss from Sri Lanka.

Honestly this Sri Lanka guy is too good, Infact whatever I am today he played a great part in it. Cool headed guy, respects every workers. If a worker proves stubborn or incompetent, he will discharge him or her in the most polite way.

Moving into 2019, the company packed up due to bad management from the top management board. I stayed out of work for more than 3 months. Somehow the Sri Lanka guy had special interest in me.

He hit me up one day and ask if I had interest to become a blockchain content developer and writer. I responded positively even though I wasn't even proficient in writing. Omo! This guy started off by giving me writing gigs and teaching me a lot of writing styles and all the technical jargons. Within 6 months, I had already hit the runway and flying. We did a lot of content together, till date we are still in contact - does one or two jobs for him once in a while.

The big break is that, the blockchain content field he led me into recently landed me a job with another firm for N700k monthly salary.

It's been 4 years now, still, me and this Sri Lanka guy never meet face to face but we communicate every week

They are still good foreign bosses out there.

Lemme tell the full story , on the 3rd of April I have received a credit alert of #496300 ,and i didn’t notice it until 6th of April and that’s because I don’t use SMS alert. Honestly I wasn’t expecting any amount of money to come to me, and the name of the sender isn’t someone I know.

I waited for the money to be reversed or for the banks to contact me concerning the money , but no one has done that for the past 2months now. I haven’t touched the money either . I just want to know if I should return the full money ??

I advice you start a business. And the good news is now you can start your business with or without capital.

You can be active in politics and still do all sort of business you want.. I have a big probem.

I'm always peeping on my neigbhours/friends unclothedness when ever they are taking their bath.

It all started six years ago during my ND in school, & up till now, i'm still living with it.

During my ND, there is no famale tenant that i didn't see her unclothedness to more than a million time, even when i went back for my HND, i did thesame thing.

I'm currently serving right now, and i'm still doing thesame thing here. I peep on my neigbhous and fellow corps member here.

I've been doing this for six years, and i've never being caught. Sometimes i ask God; why was i not being caught all those times in school, why didn't GOD want me to get caught.

I've tried every possible means to stop it, but all failed, even when i don't want to do it, my spirit will keep pushing me & if i don't do it at that time, i won't rest.

It seems i can't live without it.

I know someday i will be caught and embarrassed and get my pictures uploaded online for this crime.

I'm afraid, i need help.

Waste of sperm.. Poor parents will still be the one's to feel the pains.

Based on what I saw last week, I concluded that marriage is over hyped. It does not worth the stress for men.

It was found out that a school bus driver of a school opposite my house has been sleeping with 4 parents. These are married women who are in their husband houses.

He was exposed by his girlfriend who came to attack one parent with screaming match. She even exposed the woman that the pregnancy the woman is carrying belong to his boyfriend and not her husband.

The woman quickly drove away from that embarrassment. The lady revealed alot. She said they have been engaged for years but he refused to marry her. He will beat her up whenever he sees her with another guy.

She has warned him so many times against sleeping with parents of school where he collect salary. It will hurt his employer, he didn't listen.

I have been very weak since I heard the news. Marriage is wahala jare. I could not just get it out of my head. Although I have one oga who has slept with nearly all married women in my office. But this one is the height of it all.

I need una inputs, I tried scanning through nairaland threads and I am getting more of technicalities and rules lol. I need real experiences. As everybody around me dey japa so I decided to give it a thought. I work with a fintech company and net a little over =N=600k monthly. I am considering relocating to either UK,Germany,New Zealand, Australia or Canada. I am married with four kids. They said study route is the best .

A few of my colleagues that travelled just dey dull my ginger. My Oga who nets over 750k, we spoke today and he is considering a security man job, and claims net pay is over 2M monthly. Biko I cannot come and kill myself.

My friend, we spoke this evening and he responded oboy make I no lie you, na shit i dey pack for here, the good news is they say it will always get better with time. What if person no come eventually become citizen, is it a must you go become citizen.

I don talk to over 10 persons today and they all saying everything is though. Me I don't like stress, where me and wify go dey overwork just dey pay bills. Ofcourse I no get strength for menial jobs, make one oyibo use me take dey shine lol....

I no get any exceptional skill, I be sales man ooo.

Would you advise I still gamble and go with family abi make I hold my job oooo.

... December 2020, I got a call from one of those companies I had sent my CV to for unsolicited jobs. The first thing the lady (who is currently my boss) told me was, I saw your CV and I like it. It sounded like I heard Joe Biden telling me to pack my luggage and come to the United States.
she wasn't the HR but somehow my CV got to her and my experience was relevant to the department she's heading, she did a mini interview for me to feel my weight right on the phone. She asked how much I was willing to take as salary I mentioned but her response to me suggested I fumbled on that part. so I took my mind of it and continued with my blind firing.
My people , May 2021, I received an email from the organization's HR for a virtual 45 min interview. I had 3-4 days to prepare. I prepared like it was an interview to enter Heaven. I have never prepared for interview like that in my life. The d-day came, 45mins of virtual interview was like 5mins. Adequate preparation paid off really well. And of course God was 100% in control. I was asked how much I'm willing to take. I mentioned and there was no arguments/negotiations. 3weeks after the interview, I got an offer beyond my surprise. This included a very comprehensive HMO for wife and four kids.
I resumed the job July 2021 with probationary period of 6 months. The 6 months will be ticked this January 2022. Guess what? Another surprise that happened.
December 31st 2021, I received a promotion letter while still on probation. I am dazed till now.
Let me also add that it's a remote job. I work right from inside my house with my boxers.Lol

My fellow Nigerians job hunting, I understand the pains you're going through. The pains of rejections, the pains of failing that interview, The pains of joblessness itself. The pains of being broke. I have been through it. Please don't give up, Don't relent. Trust the process, and carry God along. Change strategies, take certifications, do volunteer jobs, you can as well take unpaid internship jobs and be intentional about making the best of the experience. And don't forget, let your CV be a verb and express quantifiable results you achieved.
This year, you'll get your Congratulation letter for that job.

Recently I heard my daughter saying "Zazoo zeh" she is not up to 2years though. Am that kind of person that always caution myself and watch the kind of music I listen at home, but she did not learn the word at home, am sure she might have heard it somewhere in her mom shop, because my wife shop is located somewhere very rough, a lot of children in the environment. But my wife does not see this as a big deal. She always told me that she can't stop the little girl from playing with other children in the hood and that's true. That day when I heard her say that word, I called her to myself and told her not to say the word again that it's not good saying such word, she nodded in approval.

Two days ago I heard her saying this common words "Eni pe". I felt really bad, because I don't want my daughter to learn those bad words, but my wife feel am overreacting.

Am I overreacting truly? How do I stop my daughter from saying such words?

It getting annoying. Okay I got him a job at a filing station only for him to turn it down, said that work is not good enough for him ..each time I got back from work is either I see him hangin pillow in between his legs sleeping or chatting on facebook with white women.
