But Nigeria is also one of the most corrupt and scamming places on earth.
Why the disconnect? Just curious.
Nigeria has FOUR of the five largest church auditoriums in the world!
Reason I condemned political leaders. Politicians control the economy, governance, and policies.

What a shame....turning religion into competition. Unfortunately, being a powerhouse in Christianity will not erase the poverty in the land.

Even those that gave you the religion are building more factories and advancing with science and technologies innovation while you continue building churches around.

You want to recolonize them, yet you need visa to enter their land. Why can't you do that with prayer? Joke of the century
You're ignorant. Continue to wait for technology to drop from the moon while America and the rest (West) of the world cash-out from LGBTQ.

If you understand how the west got their so called technology, you will use what you have to get what you want by all means.

Many of y'all dvmb atheists act like you know better yet contribute absolutely nothing but arguments. Israel as a nation doesn't even believe in Jesus as Lord and personal saviour but that country has used Jesus' image and reputation to cash-out billions of dollars from the rest of the world. Continue to argue.

Omo, this man is being used by God to accomplish remarkable feats. I followed the programme online, and everywhere choke. The whole space was filled up. I thought UK was the height...

I'll continue to emphasise this: Religion and Entertainment have the potential to elevate this country to greater heights. Christianity was one reason that European powers used to colonize and exploit Africa. We can use the same Christianity as a country to re-colonize the world and take back what belongs to us.

There are only a few MOGs on Earth who can consistently attract over 500,000 live viewers online every day for 365 days.

Nigeria is currently the powerhouse of Christianity, not Israel, not USA. But, politicians persist in prioritising personal gains over the Nigerian dream. Nigerian MOGs (all the big names you can think about) continuously shut down stadium all over Africa without making any noise. They (and entertainers) are the reason we still get some level of respect. Politicians add nothing but shame and reproach.

Haba, take am easy na.
Who told you uk was reducing school fees for their citizens?
There is God o.
International students anywhere in the world pay higher school fees.
You don't have to be a citizen to pay what citizens are paying as long as you meet the legal requirement of being in uk 3 yrs plus and the rest.
You may not be eligible for student loan cos you are still new but as long as you have been in uk for up to 5 yrs, you are eligible for student loan. Citizen or not.

Also this yr, the criteria for repaying student loan get tighter unlike other yrs.
International students use school route to come in and believe they will work to offset their debt and in doing so neglect their studies. Some Nigerians cone in to read some nonsense. They abandon school and start working so uk govt placed 20hrs work max time for them which is more effective this year.

Make una dey take am easy pls.
What part of my post don't you agree with exactly? You have only reiterated my views to an extent.

I don't think any japa person will meet the criteria in the first place. If I have to be in the UK for 3 years to qualify for low tuition or loan, I don't think I would be applying for study/student visa.

That being said, my views are based on constant and consistent interaction with Nigerian students in the UK.

When i see comments like this, I feel bad. I earn much much than 1.1m but but i dont see how im living large. I feel like maybe im soo wasteful. I also need to leave this country cos i know i will earn much more without location restriction and the profiling we get as freelancers from nigeria. Biko nwoke japa abeg!
Hmmn...well as long as you know what you do with your money. Maybe you're the type that loves to give. There's more to wealth than asset acquisition. But I'll advise that you plan and plan well. The world is fast evolving. I always remind myself how Blackberry, Symbian OS, and so many booming trends of those days died suddenly. Nothing lasts forever. Nothing bothers me more than grace to grass stories so we all need to plan.

I'm not against any form of migration though. I only advocate that people know why they're traveling and make informed decisions. If you're traveling for the money/wealth, a strategy that always works is to examine the lives of those who are doing the same job you intend to do when you get there. Do their lifestyles and living condition (not salary) align with what you desire? etc. Sites like Quora will help.

Will his his 1 month salary really conveniently cover his annual rent, If he lives in Lagos or Abuja. I agree with you that 1.1m a month is a great pay in Nigeria but the problem is that the world is becoming so interconnected that the man will still need to make spending in the international market. If he doesn't have to buy clothes and the rest, at least he will send his kids to school abroad at some point, if he wants them to be competitive for opportunities on the international stage. If he has a child attending a university abroad, he will need about 25%(more in most cases) of his 1.1m salary to pay for that child's accommodation in school every month. If he intends to visit his child in school, he will buy ticket with almost his 2months salary. We have not talked about tuition and general upkeep. Very Cheap schools cost around 12k USD per semester, that is already close to the man's annual salary, there are 2 semesters in a year. If u say weytin do unilag or OAU or covenant, I will now ask u, which kind opportunities u dey hope say make the child fit explore after school.
Are you saying that parents in Western countries are able to afford these things? Why do students abroad owe school fees? Are you also aware that, while the UK was increasing fees for international students, UK/EU students had their fees reduced? Every Nigerian student you see in the UK pay more than the average UK citizen. Yet these people still find themselves in debt.

Nothing is easy anywhere. I agree that the world has become a global environment but that's actually an advantage to people who want to stay back. I'm sure you're aware that some Nigerians now earn $$$ from Gbagada and Mowe. More so, the idea of education is fast changing.

We are in an era where Elon Musk will pay you $8000 for creating a s**upid content on Twitter.

Some children will grow up wondering why we box them into the 6-3-3-4 thing. As much as we desire the best for them and want to use them to achieve the dreams we couldn't achieve, we should be mindful, so we don't make the same mistakes our fathers made.

Really sad brother.
A lot of Nigerian men above 40yrs abandoned their jobs and businesses paying them over 1million naira monthly to migrate to UK to start all over as caregivers, factory cleaners, etc earning 1,700 pounds that is not enough to pay rent of a 3bed apartment in London, pay car insurance and maybe their utility bills, and when you ask them they say they are doing it for their kids.

Kids that will grow to forget you and forget Nigeria as they grow to embrace western culture that doesn't make it necessary to cater for your aged parents, so to what end are you abandoning your own life for kids that may never take care of you at old age?
Its just that Nigerians like following the bandwagon without weighing their options rationally, it is well oh
Hmm, well, the Buhari regime really added a lot of pressure. The way the Naira was losing value by the second had everyone reconsidering their plans.

I agree with you on the issue of children. If and when I decide to leave, it would be for somewhat selfish reasons, especially as long as my kids still depend on me for support. However, if I choose not to relocate, it's never too late; my kids will eventually grow up and make that decision for themselves.

Honestly my brother the comments are shocking and it tells you what bad government have pushed Nigerians into.

Imagine leaving your Accounting job to start all over again as a Forklift operator at 48yrs or snake killer or caregiver when you ought to be planning your retirement, ah, it will never be well with Buhari, all APC supporters and those supporting bad leadership in Nigeria in the name of tribe and religion!
I tell you! Bad leadership is one of the main reasons middle age men and women are migrating to start all over.

N1.1m (Nigerian value) is a great pay anywhere in the world. There are only a few jobs/countries where your one month salary will conveniently cover your annual rent (12 months). This is the privilege this man wants to leave behind because of bad leadership.

Apart from corruption and stolen money, no governor, senator, or house of rep member in Nigeria earns N1.1m as basic monthly salary. Corruption is the reason this country is dying. On a normal level, this man ought to live larger than a commissioner and house of rep member.

But why is it so? I have two female friends. Mrs A pressured her husband to fund her trip to Vietnam; her final aim is to cross over to Canada. She has spent quite a lot in the process. When I asked, how about her husband, she said he would join her later. I don't fancy a married man over 40 migrating, let alone to Vietnam.

Mrs B is doing the same to her husband as she says business is not moving fine for him in Nigeria. But the man is not interested. In his defence, I said if he is the one funding the trip (most likely as she does not do anything financially significant), she should allow him to be.

As a man, japa is best done when single.
Very true. Men now prefer to join their wives after some months or even years. I believe times are changing rapidly. There was a time when men would leave their wives and children behind. Nowadays, things have evolved.

You're lucky to have a supportive wife. Put your head down and learn. You'll be shocked that your salary there may be higher than a bank branch manager in Nigeria.

Don't quarrell your wife when you get there otherwise na deportation.

Leave some lifeline in Nigeria just in case it backfires. Good luck!
He currently earns more than a branch manager. So, your advice is not valid. HIs net salary is N1.1m. The main justification for leaving is to hide under the typical "for the sake of my kids."
FamilyRe: Nigerian Man Asked To Leave UK After His Cheating Wife Files For Divorce by Acidosis(m):
The truth of the matter is that Nigerian women in the UK will always have an edge over their husbands. This is not about the UK laws but the fact that most japa trips from Nigerian families were initiated by the madam of the house (wives). Many will do anything and everything to remain in that country, including destroying the marriage.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Abel Damina & The Bible by Acidosis(m):
Your attempt to twist his explanation is weak though. Dr Abel Damina will not drop a one line quote like you did here to defend his doctrine. He goes as far as reading hebrew versions of the bible with the original interpretations, citing different verses. You may not agree with his messages (I have my concerns too) but your critique is weak.

How do I know? I've been listening to some of his messages all day (a coincidence, yeah?) and some of the issues you mentioned here were fully addressed.

See his recent outreach in Kampala and how he broke all the tables about holy communion, anointing oil, holy water, jerusalem water, holy rice, holy handkerchief, seed, miracle seed, bla bla bla and those unscriptural things your pastors and herbalist-prophets use to scam you people.

Thanks Acidosis.

Is it the snake killing part that you cannot do at gun point or leaving a #1.1m salary a month for another job in Australia?
Not necessarily. As I age, I believe I would be less inclined to take certain risks. At 50 years old, I certainly won't exchange certainty for uncertainty. After 20-25 years of accounting practice, I wouldn't consider learning how to kill snakes or operate a forklift, regardless of the $$$ offered.

Please note that these are my personal views, and I'm not advising or suggesting that you go or stay back.
TravelRe: Japa: I Am Confused, Please Advise. by Acidosis(m):
As long as your wife can/will feed you without complaints (just in case things do not turn out well for you), then you will be fine.

Your concerns are very valid. Not many 48 year old men would leave a N1.1m accounting job in Nigeria to go kill snakes in Australia as someone suggests here. I won't do it at gun point.

The truth of the matter is that a woman who truly loves you will rarely bill you. When a woman loves you and want to be with you, she will do everything within her means to make you a better person, save your money for more productive ventures, and help you grow.

You're useless to a woman (girlfriend) who bills you all the time.

You're useless to a partner who finds more happiness in spending your money at fancy restaurants than in cooking for you.

And yeah, you don't have to agree 😉👍

Major General Buhari Said he would fight corruption and return power immediately, he stayed in office for 4 years till Gen Babangida kicked him out

Gen Abacha wanted to be come a life President if not killed
