Traditionally in Igbo land, if the woman ‘s family did not return the bride price. Any child the woman gave birth to after separation belongs to her husband. I mean her former husband. Men have to be careful in marrying separated or divorced women becos if the man happens to marry the woman when the woman’s family failed to return the bride price to her ex husband hence the present husband is just giving birth for another person. The reason is that it is assumed that the woman is still married to her ex husband. So returning the price is the first thing to do before the woman can remarry. If they did court wedding, they can as well file for divorce where all the conditions will be listed including how the man will be seeing his child and also amount for the child’s upkeep.

During this Buhari regime, it is the worst time to be a northerner. Northerners are the worst hit by the Buhari's mal-administration. Some of them can barely eat and many of them have died from malnutrition, terrorism and bandit attacks.

In Nigeria history, any president from the southern part of Nigeria has the tendency of pampering the North to make them happy and to get their support. Also, an average southerner sees the northern ways of life as archaic and poor. During the good old days when southerners enjoy been posted to the north, northerners see corpers as oyibo. The corpers pamper their host and do a lot of community projects for their host. Some places in the north don't have ordinary toilet. Some corpers come and build toilet for them while the corpers are worshiped and seen as mini gods.

On the contrary, Northern leaders are used to seeing poor people. Most of them see poverty as culture. Most northern corpers who serve in the south hardly think of any project for their southern host. Because, they already see southern Nigeria as America. I can remember one Hausa guy that came to serve in my village in Mbaise. He said he won't go back to North after service. We asked him why? He said Mbaise is like America. That statement gave me goosebumps. If Mbaise where I call village is like America to him, then we wondered how his village would be like.

We southerners pity the poor or those living poor lives. That is why many beggers from the north prefer begging in the south than in the north. Even most southern philanthropists and ojanambas like Rochas do a lot for the north because southerners pity their poor conditions and low level of literacy.

When Jonathan was president, he favored the north more because of pity and also to please them. He built almajiri schools so that the poor children can have education. He initiated many projects to help the suffering north.
Obasanjo also initiated PAP poverty alleviation programs which benefitted the north more.

Though the Northerners always want a northerner to be Nigerian president because of born to rule mentality, their lives are better of when a southerner is president.

Paul’s admonishment to Timothy on how to elect Church leadership, just like the case of levites of old (Moses...), 1 Timothy 3. The point of contention here is, If there were no men with more than a wife in the Church, Paul Won't have mentioned it. Also in 1 Corinthians 7:39.

Effects of POLYGAMY:
POLYGAMY has it merits and demerits in the society and Christiandom at large.
1). In the Society, the Maternal Mortality rate is high in the female folks compared to men. The number of girls birth rate is higher than that of men, and the number of men death rate is higher than that of women. The number of widows keep increasing geometrically adding up to the number of single women in the society.
This leads to increase of infidelity, adultery, and formication in the society compared to the days of our forefathers. So pathetic nowadays to see our single girls fighting with widows for the ownerships of a guy.

2). Religiously, the so-called MONOGAMY has caused more harm than good in Christian-dom. God says in Gen 1:28 'God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground'. But what do we have today? Christians going into family planning. The Israelites lived 430yrs only in Egypt, but Pharaoh became scared because of their rapid growth in population. I can't imaging if they were practicing Family planning and Monogamy.

IBB introduced family planning to Nigeria with a maximum of 3 children to a couple and, was widely embraced mostly by Christians, that is 3 children to a couple but, Muslim being naturally a polygamy has an average 2 to 5 wives to a man, meaning 20 children to a family. This have invariably led to increase in population of Muslims far above their Christian counterparts in Nigeria (60% / 40%).
Looking critically, Nigeria is trailing the path of Turkey and North Sudan.....

Turkey(the biblical Antioch) was a Christian nation overtaken by Muslims because of falsehood of Christian priests.
b.) Very soon Our children, particularly daughters (that we are trying to protect today) will be used as sex slaves because monogamy denied them an opportunity to marry.
C.) There are millions of stranded women in the South and, may not likely get a husband forever because of the arguments against polygamy; whereas hardly can a women be stranded in the North; thanks to polygamy there.
