nairalaila: Embattled OAU lecturer, Professor Richard Akindele, who was charged with demanding sex to pass his student, Monica Osagie, was denied bail by a Federal High Court in Osogbo on Tuesday.
ICPC Senior Legal Officer, Mr Kehinde Adetoye had earlier asked the court to deny the defendant bail on grounds that he will not appear for his trial when released. Vanguard reported that the move was backed by the defendant's failure to show up at the ICPC office in Abuja after a written agreement to honour any invitation extended to him, particularly on his return from abroad on a medical trip.
Ruling on the case, Justice Maureen Onyetenu who ordered Akindele to be remanded in Ilesa Prison until Dec. 17, ordered the prosecution counsel from the ICPC to produce video evidence of the lecturer and his student having fun.
The OAU lecturer was first arraigned before Justice Maureen Onyetenu on Nov. 19 by the ICPC, on four counts of alteration of age and demanding sex to pass his student .

SuperSuave: My question now is what is the difference between all these terms : back axle, camber or "car camber"? As I'm not familiar with vehicular terms
Thanks you as I await your replies 1.Back axle popularly refers to a solid rear wheel drive axle. See 1st pic. Examples Peugeot 504, Toyota Hilux, Prado, Land cruiser, Benz C or E Class, BMW 3, 5 or 7 series etc 2. My understanding of car camber as you call it is "rear camber" to mean rear independent suspension. See 2nd pic. In the pic, the camber is the part the shocks sit on. Examples are Honda CRV, Pilot, Toyota Hilander 3. Another type is the beam axle which is the least complicated. See 3rd pic Examples are Audi 80, Peugeot J5 Note both 1 and 2 are both rear wheel drive while 3 is not. 1 is always a primary drive wheel and the big centre portion housing the differetial. 2. Is sometimes rear wheel drive and sometimes not. 3. Is not a drive wheel Modified. 3. can come in a drive wheel too. I have seen this type in Audi 80 Quattro.

But like we keep saying about Buhari's ineptitude and his penchant for blame shifting when things go wrong in this Administration, Jonathan too should accept he messed up in a lot of areas.
I hate people who don't own up to their actions. Own up and stop shifting faults. Others weren't totally responsible for why you lost; a lot of Nigerians actually didn't like the direction of your government. Finally a very sensible post. These PDP guys think who ever is against GEJ is for Buhari. They donot understand that we simply want better governance from whichever party but what we always get in presidential candidates is a choice between "the devil and the deep blue sea". GEJ disappointed me, Buhari has done same and i desire we have someone else at this moment but Atiku is not it. My own opinion. |

LordAdam16: So evidence for $20b was destroyed just like that and you claim to be intelligent... If PDP can destroy evidence for $20b, why haven't they destroyed all the so-called evidence your partisan EFCC is 'supposedly' using to hound opposition members?
If the issue died under the Senate, why can't the Buhari administration resurrect it? Dasuki is being held for 3 years for alleged $2b, yet you are saying Buhari allowed $20b to disappear just like that. And you claim to be educated. How will Nigeria develop when you can't use your intellect, that's even if you have one.
Sanusi was fired for his propaganda that never held water then, doesn't hold now, and wouldn't ever hold. And he was rewarded with the Emirate position for the job well done. That's how you'd also say evidence of GEJ hiring 1000 snipers to kill opposition members was destroyed as well. Your words not mine. Please give me a good reason why I should not insult you? By all means please do, your crass attitude. There's no difference between you and someone who never attended primary school. When they cant stick to a point! Next best thing is to discredit the opponent. Alas! Pot calling kettle black
-Lord GEJ allowed the money to disappear just like that while senate helped him cover it. Do not call Buhari into this. My last words to you are as follows. I am not Buhari's ass licker, however, PDP has not come up with enough reason to dump Buhari or to regret dumping PDP in the first place. Buhari will trump Atiku. The reason for your failure will be no different to the failure of GEJ in 2015. See you thereafter. Adieu! |

LordAdam16: Where is the $45b abi $20b Sanusi claimed was missing today? Have you guys found it? The id*ot was fired for spreading propaganda. If it wasn't propaganda, Buhari should have found the $20b by now. It's almost four years.
Since GEJ was firing whistle blowers, who did he fire for the Stella Odua scandal?
-Lord Sanusi was fired, evidence destroyed. Have forgotten that after that a lot of effort was made by Diezani to explain how the funds was spent. Have you forgotten that the senate set up a committee to investigate and the issue died in the senate. What happened at the end if you recall? The minister claimed it was used to pay subsidy of kerosene. Have you forgotten that Kerosene has been deregulated even before that time. The last of the issue was left by both Diezani and Ngozi as the NNPC illegally spent the money on subsidy that was not existing. I guess senate got their cut and killed the issue quietly as GEJ wanted it dead and buried. |

Its posible some acts of vorruption is still on but the way vorruption was treated by GEJ is unacceptable . Typical example is the removal of Sanusi. Compared to Buhari's Babachir saga, GEJ's is by far worst. If it were GEJ's time the Babachir whistle blower would have been fired and buried. Buhari tolerated a lot of shit doing little or slow about it but not as much as GEJ who harboured criminals with no will to investigate instead firing the whistle blowers. |

dre11: “The institutional framework also included the establishment of such mechanisms as the treasury single account (TSA), and bank verification number (BVN), vital anti-corruption tools which are now shamelessly being appropriated by those that inherited them.” Shamelessly? For real? Doing government's business will cause one to be ashamed of what for Gods sake. So Buhari should have abandoned every project he didnt initiate so he may not be ashamed. No wonder GEJ was booted out the way he was. Monumental cluelessnesss. These kind of comments gets me pissed off. Why would GEJ take credit for TSA. He created and had the chance to implement it but didnt, until Buhari came and gave it all the force it required. GEJ awarded so many contracts but didnt finance them. If Buhari finances them, who takes credit. Buhari came in and saw that PDP for 16 yrs were awarding different contracts to cronies without funding or political will to see the project completed. As a result, Buhari refused to tow in the line of PDP by awarding his own contracts but decided to finance to completion most abandoned contracts. Typical is Abuja roads and flyovers that were abandoned since Obj, zero progress during GEJ but completed in Buhari's time. Also the Abuja-Kaduna rail, Abuja Metro rail, 2nd Niger bridge etc. These are no ordinary projects, the contractors who abandoned site were owed in Billions, Buhari had to pay off the debts from his 1st budget then finance the completion. Its never easy to pay debts but Buhari dedicated his tenure to pay contracts debts instead of cheap popularity by initiating and abandoning contracts like 16 yrs of PDP. Besides if anyone will be honest, Buhari made the highest capital budget in Nigerias history, most of these funds went into paying capital debts left behind by PDP governments. Who gets credit, he who promise to sponsor an orphan or he who actually sponsors an orphan. |

"A few minutes ago, it came to my attention that my young friend, Osmg Onibiyo aka SMG, a fiery AOP and civil rights activist got detained on the orders of a man who is more reckless with his mouth than any other sitting governor in Nigeria.
Segun Onibiyo has been arrested by the Kaduna State Police Command, allegedly on the orders of Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, governor of Kaduna State, reportedly for "hate speech".

The member who left APC to PDP is still sitting with the PDP members who are trying to sack those who moved to APC.
What the PDP and APC are doing in that state is recipe for violence. That state will unfortunately know no peace from now on. Especially for the fact that Akpabio wants senate president in 2019, he needs control of the state to achieve it.

Akpabio became governor in 2007, prior to then, the state was a violence ridden state. Akpabio stopped the violence and made the state known for peace and beauty. His only mistake was installing Udom Emmanuel after him against the wish of majority of the stakeholders. It was a terrible decision most governors make. Now Udom Emmanuel no longer wants to play sitting duck, while Akpabio is playing eagle just like Ganduje vs Kwankwaso. This is just the recipe for violence that once held sway. TonyeBarcanista: Senator Akpabio, Nsima Ekere Idongesit Ituen Thugs Move to Breach Peace at AKHA
Emerging scenes from the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly show that a former member of the Assembly, who was recently ostracized by the Federal High Court, Idongesit Ituen, acting in consonance with his mentor Senator Godswill Akpabio, has mobilized thugs to foment crises, by hindering movement into the state assembly complex.
They are allegedly armed and are wielding dangerous weapons they burn tyres and disrupt regular movement into the assembly complex.
Eye witness report that the thugs were heard charging loudly that without Idongesit Ituen, no one else can enter the complex.
Earlier today, the State Chapter of the PDP had issued a statement, based on intelligence report, that there were plans by the APC to use thugs and cause a breach of peace, thereby stalling proceedings at the chambers.
Gov Udom Emmanuel on his part has repeatedly warned politicians against violence, maintaining that nothing short of peace and unity is needed to move Akwa Ibom forward, irrespective of political affiliations or aspirations.
It would be recalled that the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barr. Onofiok Luke had last week acted in accordance with the judgement of the Federal High Court, which vacated the seat of the former Itu Assemblyman for cross carpeting to another political party without any tangible reason.
Some anti riot policemen who arrived the scene moments ago, are yet to bring the situation under control. It was Akpabio that cleanse the state of thuggery and violence, but the same man ignored the popular choice and installed his stooge only to return the state to the thug life he inherited. Akpabio shouldn't have put Udom Emmanuel there. He made the mistake but its hard to correct it. Thats why violence will be back to AKS. |

After going through the thread i realized that many had made money but lost all or a good chunk.
This is my own story.
Abattoir Investment
As a student in Futa, i usually patronized a butcher called Nurai at the abattoir behind Chicken Republic at FUTA Junction. The guy was very nice to us and always gave us extra meat to what we bought. When i had my first major breakthrough, this guy was the first person that came to my mind.
I gave Mr. Nurai 500,000 naira as investment into the business. The man lost all the money within a few months. I still like him and i know he did not do it intentionally but it was a big blow to my finances when i needed a backup source of income.
business agreement with a nairalander i wont mention his name, but i had an agreement with a nairalander, but i suspect he diverted the money into mmm. Long story short he still owes me 400k after refunding about 600k to me.
Ministry of works contract Never take a contract during elections. Goodluck Jonathan awarded lots of contracts a few months to the 2015 elections. I got several road furnishing contracts November 2014. Unfortunately we had to borrow money to do the Job. Lost about N7million there. Government still owing us 54million (i did it in partnership with another company in Abuja) it was a massive blow and my worst mistake in life not just business.
What is your own story? Be honest and detailed so we can learn from each other. I got my boss a 200m ministry of works contract earlier this yr, he refused to finance it saying that its too close to elections. We sold it out and counted our loss. The guy who bought it did 60% and has since been trying to get paid. I hope he gets paid sha cos that ministry get as e be. You need serious leg to get paid there. Buhari tried to sanitize that ministry but the right effect has not been felt. At least they dont dish out contracts anyhow like they did under GEJ when the funds to pay where obviously not available. |

AM 35 ....SHE IS 45!!! The bolded is main reason i think you should quit immediately. The age makes her bolder than you and you would never be able to reign over her as a head of the family. She will not be submissive in marriage and that will mean you will have to be a mumu to stay married to her. She will constantly see herself as wiser. Trust me. |
