Well, beating the lady was taking things too far.

It's okay to caution her, but not to humiliate her for being in a relationship.

As for the boy, well...his hormones was in control... Maybe he will behave better when he's grown.

Juvenile tendencies is all I see in him.
So its not ok to beat the bae but its ok to beat the guy!

Tokunbo ball joints for Honda is around 10-15k a pair. Those guys at the market know it's worth especially if it's for Honda so they don't sell cheap. And I won't even stay up to 18 months before getting it checked. We see many tokunbo Honda with genuine ball joints pull within 2 months of driving in Nigeria.
Maybe its ur location.

Been using my car almost 4yrs now but never changed the ball joint. I do long trips, long commute and all.

Trust me if you get "genuine" ball joints, you wil forget ball joint.

These part dealers are wicked, apart from the appearance they go as far as putting chinko ball joints in cars for a month the sell them as tokumbo. Thats apart from "kitting".

Toks ball joint and toks shocks are the most difficult to buy if you no shine eye.

Kitting is a big thing up north, just dont do it with chinko. It will pull the next day with chinko but a genuine one will last long even with kitting. I have seen same ball joint kitted 3 times but never pulled.

The steel quality makes the difference.

You are on point. Maintenance culture which some Nigerians don't have is the reason for leg pulling on Honda cars here. Two things causes this leg pull that I know, Ball joint and C.V. Joint and the two will give you notice before pulling. Ball joint will make that funny sound for at least 5 days before pulling and shaft can take months.

If you are concerned about your safety and that of your car, 5 days is enough to do the needful.

OP, Honda is a sweet and reliable car if you have good maintenance culture.
CV joint cant cause leg pull. It stops the car from moving but the leg wont pull.

Leg pull is mostly caused by either the ball joint or inner tie rod ends.

if it’s only the hand shake and leg pull you’re worried about then buy the car

Just don’t forget to budget roughly 15k every 18months to replace your joints with proper tokumbo ones

buy one new one and keep in your boot as an emergency spare

that’s how you manage the issue with that car
Tokumbo ball joint for 15k? Toks Ball joint should not be more than 5k.

If that ball joint goes bad in 18months then its not tokumbo.

@Adanny01,Thank you,so what do you advice?i mean how to go about getting stair case fixed,i appreciate your input bro.
My suggestion, is that the guest toilet be moved under the starcase landing and the present guest toilet becomes a store room.

Since the first flight of stairs is longer than the 2nd, the headroom will be adequate.

This means that the stair wall will move to the eliminate the protusion.

Thirdly, the v toilet should be coverted to ante room while a new vtoilet can be created adjacent the dining and living area at exactly where the window adacent to the dining is.

thank you all for pointing out the errors in the first drawing,we decided to do a new drawing so the building can face rigth side since a building will still be in front of it,here is the new drawing,God bless you as you drop a comment.the floor plan is for the rear building.
I see a landing and the 2nd flight of stairs protuding into the groundfloor living room. Exactly where the TV is. It makes no sense to have it protude like that unless u want it like that.

The landing will probably be at about 2m from the floor. TV position is under the 2nd flight.

This reminds me of a site i visited in Abuja. The interior of the semi detached duplex was redesigned on site to be a hotel. They only forgot the second flight of stairs. I just followed a friend who did the electrical design. He dashed me 10k for saving him after calling his attention to it.

enshi:
I met this young pretty girl about two months now. It was love at first sight for both of us. She is a student and she is in her early 20s.
Recently I brought up an idea to help us know each other better. This idea allows us ask each other any question especially about our past ( relationship, experiences, ideas, beliefs, and lots more) but we must answer with all sincerity.
With sincerity of all intents and purposes, I just wanted to know what my gf could/would be capable of.

My first question was have you dated a married man before, to my surprise her answer was YES , I asked for how long and she said a year plus. She was just 18 at the time and she goes to his house to make love to him when ever the wife travelled. OMG

My second was have you had a one night stand with a guy you just met, again her answer was YES and it was just some months ago and she was still dating her EX when this happened.

At this point I was just too shocked that I started asking anything. Next question was have you had a 3SOME before, her answer was NO but she has slept with two cousins though they never found out.

I was just too afraid to ask her if she smokes cos I didn't want the shock of my life.

Pls guys considering her age and knowing fully well that the leopard never changes its spots, pls do you advise I Carry on with her as my intention was to make her my last gf.
Your gf sounds like a lousy girl.

The kind of answers she gave you are supposed to be her secret. If she doesn't know that then she is capable of doing more.

Telling your current bf how morally bad you are is not a good thing.

As a married man, if i am morally bankrupt to cheat on my wife, she can never ever hear it from my mouth. That will just bring an end to trust in my home. These kind of secrets must remain a secret.

Anyways, no one can tell you to quit unless they know the questions she asked you and how honestly you replied her. Or your own secrets if you are willing to share.
Politics › Re: Muslim-muslim Ticket: I Consulted Buhari – El-rufai by adanny01(m): 8:37am On Nov 14, 2018
fiizznation:
El-rufai did no wrong in picking a Muslima as his running mate. Democracy of course is a game of numbers and there is nowhere in the constitution that says he can't choose a Muslim as his running mate. If the southern kaduna people feel shortchanged or whatever, they have numerous options to choose from.

1. They can vote against El-rufai since they hate him so much. Opposition parties are there, they can decide to rally around one opposition party and vote for the candidate. And just maybe, El-rufai might lose the election.

2. They can get their own christian-christian candidates and immensely vote for them. That should be as simple as ABC. Since some people said indigenous christians in kaduna state constitute about 50percent of the state's population. So why are they crying foul?

Anyway the reality on ground is, the southern kaduna folks can never decide who will be become the governor of kaduna because their numbers just don't add up. El-rufai don't really need their votes to win the election and everybody knows this fact(well except for silly people who don't know anything about kaduna state). I also love what El-rufai did. Yeah they said they hate him so much and El-rufai gave them the middle finger. Funny, there isn't anytime to love thy enemy.

Weldone mallam El-rufai, I say a big kudos to you.
With regards to the bolded, its a matter of political structure.

They have given themselves more local governments and by far more polling units. Elections are won by number of polling units control. They have a lot of ghost PU's that they can just write results for them and no one will know. Their population is bloated. Their women hardly go out to vote leaving the voting results in the hands of husbands. This creates a homogeneous result such like Kano in most Hausa/Fulani areas.

We also have lots and lots of christians in the elRufai government trying to satisfy their stomachs. Such people will not allow for a complete homogenous voting in the south.

Hadiza Balarabe is from my own local government. Her tribe is one of the 2 largest in the LG but a large majority are Christians. These Christians will be voting for el Rufai because the deputy governor comes from among them. The LG chairman is also that tribe and a staunch elRufai supporter.

Finally, the extraction of this tribe to these places is a handiwork work of the President Buhari's Admin officer who is from this tribe and also a Muslim. What hurts me about this is that this local government didnot enjoy any single thing from the government of elRufai. We didnt even have a single commissioner while other LGs had 2. This local government had been the most marginalized in Kaduna state, never had an ambassador, minister, Deputy governor, Senator and even House of Representatives member. This local government doesn't even have a bank. It is a the true liberal local government Kaduna is named for and devoid of religious crisis affecting most of Southern Kaduna. This caused a lot of Hausa/Fulani settlers, intermarriage and locals accepting Islam. It is one of the 2 elRufai won in 2015. With all these, it seems elRufai suddenly recognized the marginalization of this local government but I know better, he is cunningly stigmatizing southern Kaduna. Telling them they are nothing. Its like giving a thirsty person water in a basket.

Goo job!
what you'll get here is mostly personal preference and some will not be relevant to you..

1. if possible, relocate VT on ground floor for security reasons due to proximity to stairways leading upstairs
2. landing area of stairs on top floor seems constricted
3. door to balcony from famiy lounge in awkward position wrt to seating arrangement. move door to one side to open into area behind the sofa.
4. you have to walk through the family lounge to get to master's bedroom, can this be avoided?
5. is the master bed his & hers? if so,i will definitely like to get more wardrobe/closet space from the master's bedroom. wardrobe seems about same size as other smaller rooms.

good design and presentation overall.
I argued against the bolded with my parents when building their home. Just like you, they wanted the master access outside the family room.

My main point was that the family room is controlled by the master and family only. This room becomes a personal space of the master and his immediate family. Therefore, the master bedroom, family room and the balcony are all ensuite to the master.

To argue against, i would say if the master doesn't want disturbance from the children who may spend their own time in the family room, then the access to the master should be outside the family room.

One could say, besides, there is a door. I prefer the former. It boils down to preference.

- Car Insurance
Auto insurance or insurance certificate is a document that guarantees that the vehicle has financial protection for any physical damage. This insurance covers cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The insurance is granted by the National Insurance Commission. As with other documentation, avoid fake, improperly filed auto insurance documentation. The road authorities in recent times have clamped down heavily on fake insurance paperwork holders. Not to worry though, there are publicly accessible e-avenues for the average Nigerian car owner to verify this. Visit Nigerian Insurance Industry Database Portal to verify yours.

3. Tyres[/b]
Tyres are the legs of your vehicle. However, those legs come with an expiry date. Tyres usually expire four years after the date of manufacture and failure to change your tyres after it expires, will put you at risk of having fatal accidents caused by a blow-out. This is why the FRSC continually emphasizes the need to check your tyres. It is possible that you have bought a new car whose tyres are just about to expire, for the sake of safety, check your tyres today.
The date of manufacture is usually on the body of the tyre and is easy to find. It is a four-digit number in which the first two signify the week in the year, and the last two signify the year. For instance, 1618 signifies the 16th week, (last week of April) in 2018. This means that the tyres will expire on the 16th week of 2022.
Please note that the numbers stand on their own and are not attached to any alphabets. It is imperative that this inspection is carried out, both for safety reasons and to avoid being harassed by the authorities.
The condition of use also determines how often your tyres should be changed to avoid costly and fatal incidents such as tyre blowouts. Since there is no way to verify this, a safer approach is to do a full change of your tyres. It might cost a buck but the confidence of driving on new tyres whose condition you can vouch for far outweighs the risk and dangers that come with the guessing game you’d have to play with tyres whose conditions you’re unsure of.
Insurance doesn't just cover physical damage, it covers property damages, injury to persons as well fatalities.

Secondly, tires dont expire in 4 yrs. They expire averagely in 4 to 6yrs with 6yrs being adopted for quslity tires. A tire can expire in 1 yr while another could last up to 8 years.

Tire expiry majorly depends on quality, usage and weather exposure.

This is why tire manufacturers dont put expiry dates on tires.

Lastly, the production date on a tire cannot tell you if a tire is expired or not, it is the nature of the rubber that shows it has expired or not. Tell tale signs are cracking and staining.

I also lost a job for taking a flight to attend the interview. I took a day off so i had to get there and back fast with little stress.

I dont blame them, cos i would not have taken the job. It was obvious the job was an entry level position which i wasnt aware before attending. The young expertriate focused the interview on my personality asking me about my current job, family and even how I travelled from Abj to Ph. He was kinda shocked to hear i flew and even emphasized, "you mean you flew (demonstrating flight with the hand)".

There was one unorthodox thing he did, asked me to present my palms and he kinda read them. I asked what was that for and he said it was personal. I didnt like it but i already knew i will not going to be working there.

On the op, having 2 smart phones is outrageous and will turn alot of people like me off. Infact, a person like me has no use for a tablet other than watching movies or reading. I once saw a guy using 2 iphone x's. I had pity on him for the stress.

The request for your certificate because all certicates you see have security features on them thats why employees want to see the original and check the security features.

These features are missing on a photocopy so the cert must be confirmed by eye at the final stages of employment.

Verification is only done by asking the candidate to go and request a confirmation to be forwarded directly to the requesting institution.

That letter is FAKE, & it was made up by the PDPigss to deceive their daft sycophants & IPIGs! Any not-too-smart person will know this! WAEC couldn't have issued that letter especially when the candidate himself didn't ask for it.
Again, in the fake letter, they asked WAEC for a certified true copy of Buhari's certificate (which is different from the attestation of results that WAEC only recently started issuing). A certified true copy is simply a stamped photocopy of a certificate, & you need the original certificate to be issued a certified true copy. So a candidate himself CANNOT even get a certified true copy without presenting his/her original. That should further prove to you that that letter is very fake!
While the bolded is correct, the red isnt completely false.

Only one word makes the red wrong.

This is how it should be " So a candidate himself CANNOT even get a certified true copy without presenting his/her copy of the original.".

A certified true copy is a verified and confirmed photocopy of the original.

What is the essence of certified true copy? The essense is that the original is missing but a copy is available for confirmation or certification as a copy of the original.

As it is Buhari's original cert is missing neither does he posses a copy to be certified so he was not issued a certified true copy.

He was issued a confirmation of result. Which is the next suitable document WAEC can issue on request and payment. Check WAEC FAQ Q19 and the Answer.

This matter shows how Nigerians subscribe to columny, propaganda, regionalism, Ethnicity and Religious sentiments.

I blame Buhari for keeping mum on some important national issues but on this one, i totally understand if he doesnot respond to any more of this issue.

This matter is beyond our intellectual capacities as diverse Nigerians. Initially, I would question the thought process of some people on these issues but when i see people i respect intellectually and in every other aspect of life engaging in such thoughtless arguments, i now understand what worries them.

For example, ordinarily a Muslim-Muslim ticket does not go against any of out fundamental principles but when in Kaduna El rufai dared to, it raises questions especially for him being known for his religious fanatism and disregard for common sense. Elrufai is a true drowning man but common sense still eludes him despite his claims of intellectually prowess. It may be a right step in the right direction but a right step in the wrong time. Geographically he did right and has recognized a marginalized area to pick his deputy but he picked an unacceptable candidate for geopolitical area to accept.

I am driving around town with 2 critical problems. I made 2 attempts to find my cracked radiator plastic top but found a new 1inch longer plastic and a warped toks both which i rejected. My parts supplies guy in Abj says he has it but am just too lazy for this job. One of the reasons i am lazy about this simple job is the fact that i will have to top like half a quart to my ATF after fixing the radiator. Top the ATF or change is what i have not decided.

Water shorts about a litre after 3 days city commute or a 300km return trip. No over heating so far and my eyes are glued to the temp gauge.

The second is an ABS issue after greasing both front drive shaft and hub bearings. I really do not know where the problem is but i have a non permanent ABS light. It goes off like once in 2 days for like 3mins but return again. When light goes off, the ABS activates on every braking action no matter how light, no matter what condition except when still. So throughout the 3mins the brake pulsates each time i hit the brakes the light will come on for a day or 2.

"The Headquarters of The West African Examination Council (WAEC) is in Ghana. They are immune to political control by President Muhammadu Buhari. In 2015, Move On Nigeria wrote WAEC Headquarters and they said they have no record of Buhari’s certificate. Also, University of Cambridge confirmed that they did not use the alphanumeric grading system in 1961 which appears in Buhari’s ‘certificate’"

Many on social media were not left out calling the attestation an Honorary WAEC certificate while others say ot was genuine but with a stamped letter from WAEC Headquarters in Ghana disowning Buhari this controversy is far from being over .

Who is more credible, Rino or premium times?

In a new post on its website, the university confirmed result grades for the examination in 1961 were issued in numbers, not letters, as suggested by critics of Mr. Buhari who have dismissed the results he presented as fabricated.

According to Cambridge, “Examination results were classed in grades from 1 to 9”.

“1, 2,3,4,5 & 6 indicate a Pass with Credit; 7 & 8 indicate a Pass; 9 indicate a Failure,” the school said.https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/175777-cambridge-university-provides-details-buharis-wasc-results.html
Besides, no one can request for confirmation, attestation, transcript or certificate for another person. WAEC cannot give such a reply to a third party.

Secondly, WAEC Ghana cannot have results of WAEC Nigeria candidates.

Thirdly, Cambridge refused to oblige to such request by any third party saying only a candidate can request for any confirmation of results. As such WAEC Ghana would be wrong give such a reply to a third party other than telling the third party it cannot provide any info as to the results of any candidate. The candidate is the only one that can do so.

Its just obvious, PDP is a propaganda machine and have not changed their ways.

Car Talk › Frsc Reintroduces Fines For Old Number Plates by adanny01(op): 11:14am On Nov 02, 2018
Forewarned is forearmed. Let us not be taken by surprise, i am glad i saw this and for some of us who still drive with old number plates, we are already in violation without knowing it.

Nigerians have condemned the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for reintroducing the suspended enforcement of the new vehicle number plates on motorists without adequate information.

Since last September, some motorists, particularly in Abuja and other major cities across the country, have complained about being accosted by FRSC officials and being issued fines for vehicle number plate violation.

Some of those who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES described FRSC’s action as an “ambush and an attempt to extort from innocent Nigerians.”

The motorists claimed although Nigerians were aware of the initial directive in 2011 for old number plates to be replaced with new ones, after the implementation and enforcement of the directive was suspended in 2014 following the intervention of the National Assembly, they were not informed when a new order was issued.

Motorists’ complaints

A senior official in Akwa Ibom Liaison Office, Abuja, Uduakabasi Udo, said she was accosted by FRSC officials on September 14 and asked to pay N3,000 fine for not using the new plate number.

“When FRSC officials stopped me around the Corps’ former headquarters in Zone 7, Abuja and requested for my vehicle papers, I was shocked when, after seeing my documents were complete, they still booked me for using an old vehicle number plate,” Mrs Udo told PREMIUM TIMES.

“When I insisted on seeing the document that authorised the Corps to restart the enforcement of the earlier suspended directive, I was the more surprised when the official took me to his office to show me a memo on the subject issued the previous day from the Corps headquarters,” she said.

Despite her strong protests, Mrs Udo said she was issued papers for the fine of N3,000.

She said she was asked to approach any FRSC office to get a new number plate, which will attract additional cost of between N12,500 and N15,000.

For Philemon Adjekuko, he said he was accosted close to the National Hospital in Abuja by some FRSC officials at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

“After going through my license and vehicle particulars, despite finding them up-to-date they still booked me and issued me a fine for using an old plate number,” Mr Adjekuko told PREMIUM TIMES.

“The fine struck me like a bolt, because I had no idea what that was all about. The official who booked me said the FRSC had just gotten a court judgment in their favour and were only resuming the enforcement earlier suspended,” he said.

Mr Adjekuko said “assuming FRSC actually got such a judgment, does it not owe Nigerians a duty to make a public announcement in all the media before the commencement of the enforcement?

“What FRSC is doing is morally wrong, even if legal. Nigerians have a right to know an issue before a court of law has been resolved one way or the other.

“Besides, equity demands Nigerians should be given adequate time to obtain the new plate number in the light of the so-called judgment. Equity demands the best way to go about it will be to phase out the old number plates by attrition,” he said.

For instance, Mr Adjekuko said FRSC would have asked all those going to renew their vehicle particulars to obtain the new number plates alongside. That way, he said, people can prepare their minds towards undertaking such financial burden.

“What FRSC is doing on the roads amounts to an ambush, with the aim of extorting the people. Nigerians are already suffering from a high level of distress. To add to that distress by impounding their vehicles or confiscating their licenses and imposing a fine using old number plates is against the principles of natural justice,” he noted.

When PREMIUM TIMES visited the FRSC official website, no information on the judgment was published to notify the public of the latest development.

A lawyer weighs in

A Lagos-based public interest lawyer, Jiti Ogunye, who was one of the few Nigerians who challenged the introduction of the new number plate by FRSC in 2012, agrees with Mr Adjekuko that the Corps owes Nigerians a duty to publicise its latest court order on all media platforms before embarking on enforcement.

Besides, Mr Ogunye faulted the FRSC for abdicating its mandate and responsibility to Nigerians in pursuit of the revenue generating agencies’ role.

“If the FRSC informed Nigerians of the suspension of enforcement of the directive, now that it claims it has a fresh court order for them to recommence the enforcement of the earlier directive, I believe they have a duty to inform Nigerians through publications of the judgment in all media platforms,” Mr Ogunye said.

He said FRSC was not established as a revenue generating agency, but to ensure safety on federal highways.

He said what the FRSC is doing is not only enforcing indiscriminately its rules even on state roads in violation of the federal principle, but also elevating revenue generation above its core mandate.

Origin of the problem

The new vehicle number plate and driver’s licence were introduced by the FRSC in 2011.

Consequently, the Corps announced the old number plates would be phased out by August 2012.

However, the enforcement of the directive was mired in controversy as some Nigerians took the matter to court.

By November 2012, the FRSC was compelled to extend the deadline by a year, with a warning using old number plates would not only become illegal by September 30, 2013, but also an offence effective October 1, 2013.

Regardless, on September 30, 2013, Ogedi Ogu, filed a suit at the Federal High Court, Lagos through Emmanuel Ofoegbu, a rights activist, to challenge the FRSC’ powers to enforce its directive on the old number plates.

The suit had rejected a July 15, 2013 ruling by an Anambra State High Court in Awka authorising the FRSC to go-ahead with the enforcement of the directive, as it was ‘legal and constitutional.’

In his ruling, Justice James Tsoho of the Federal High Court, Lagos, held that it was unlawful for FRSC to impose the new number plates on Nigerians, where there was no existing law permitting.

Following the court’s ruling, FRSC’s plan to commence enforcement of the new number plates by October 1, 2013 was halted.

Although the Corps resolved to file an appeal, it however announced it was determined to go ahead with the enforcement of the new drivers’ licence and number plates come August 1, 2014 on the basis of the Anambra court ruling

But, following the insistence by concerned lawyers that the federal high court’s order restraining the FRSC was still valid and subsisting, the FRSC officially announced the suspension of the enforcement notice on new number plates in 2014.

FRSC Speaks

When contacted, FRSC spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, told PREMIUM TIMES enforcing the new number plate directive by the Corps was official.

Mr Kazeem did not address why the Corps did not publicise the latest court order permitting it to commence enforcement of the suspended directive.

We gave room for people to purchase new number plates when renewing their vehicle licence, but people ignored and continued to use the old plates,” he said.
