Politics › Re: FFK Slams Geoffrey Onyeama Over London Bridge Attack by Afam4eva(m): 8:30pm On Jun 04, 2017 |
seunmsg: Some of you should go and learn how government works. It is the duty of the governor, defence and interior ministers to officially react to internal affairs like the chibok killings. When the London attack occurred yesterday, we saw Sadiq khan, the mayor of London all over the media responding to the attack and not Boris Johnson, the UK foreign affairs minister. That doesn't mean foreign affairs ministers cannot condemn the attacks. However, when an issue is international, it is the duty of the foreign affairs minister to react officially on behalf of the country. It is part of his diplomatic duties. We should learn not to play politics with everything. The problem is not reall about reacting and paring solidarity with any country that has experienced some form of terror attack. The problem is that the idiots in power often overlook and no longer even release statements on terror attacks in Nigeria because they feel it's a norm and people can keep dying for all they care. The fulani rampage is one of the many issues that the government of the day have overlooked. Yet, they shamelessly stand with France, UK, UK. If we're not careful they may even stand with Biafra without realizing that it's not a recognized country. It''s utterly shameful really. |

I just went through the graduate programs being offered by Lambton college and to say i love them is an understatement. I like the fact that their IT programs are broken down into bits. I particularly like the fact that they have a program that is DATABASE specific and i'll like to pursue an MSC in a database specific IT program, However, the problem that i have with lambton is that it's unbelievably expensive (Apprx 22,000 CAN dollars) for the 2 year program. Is there any cheaper schools, preferably, public schools with similar programs. Thanks in anticipation. Justwise, i'm going to Canada oo...Lol |

It's Ghana that i actually pity. The little fame they have courtesy the Nigerian/Ghana war will evaporate the moment Biafra comes on board. It will become Biafra vs Nigeria. Whose jollof rice tastes better. Who has a better football team. Who has finer girls etc. That will definitely be interesting to see play out. |

Career › Re: Tinubu's TVC Sacks 145 Workers by Afam4eva(m): 9:06pm On Jun 02, 2017 |
woodmood: The fact that TVC pays them does not make them staff. In broadcasting, you have independent presenters and producers that may not necessarily be staff of the organization. In this case, they're not independent presenters because Your View is a production of TVC and they all work for TVC. If the show wasn't viable, they could have been among the people sacked because they collect salary. Someone cannot be collecting monthly salary from me and not be my staff. |

woodmood: All those ladies on Your View are NON STAFF with the exception of Morayo Afolabi-Brown who is an Assistant Director of Programs or something like that. Which one be none staff. I know they have their main jobs outside TVC but TVC pays them, so they're staff. You can call them part-time sha. |

Pls, can someone let me know if there's anywhere it's written in our constitution that presidency should be rotated between the North and the south. I really don't understand how it's an injustice that the north that got power in 2007 after their usual "power must return to the north" failed to complete the 8 years they had at their disposal and now it's looking like the same movie is playing out. If you're for equity and fairness then you should be in support of an Igbo president in 20019. Except of course you're using the guise of fairness to the north to drum support for your new part APDA or is it ADPA. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Religion Evolve With The Times? by Afam4eva(op): 1:08pm On Jun 02, 2017 |
proudafrogal: yes. people have been picking and choosing from the holy books. bible says women should not teach in church yet we have women pastors. Pakistan, Bangladesh and Mauritius Mauritania have had women leaders inspite of Mohamed 's opinion which is not even from the Quran ( the so called "literal word of word of god" )but from their so called authentic hadith.
The question of whether the hadith is for all times like the qu'ran is left for a Muslim to answer sha. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Religion Evolve With The Times? by Afam4eva(op): 12:55pm On Jun 02, 2017 |
proudafrogal: of course religion should evolve and religion has been evolving Btw. One of the major causes of Morden terrorism is the fact that some people refused to change with the times and at the same time try to force others to be like them.An example of this is a Muslim sister on Twitter who tried to kill the ambition of another to be adamawa state governor because of prophet Mohamed 's 7th century opinion which states that a country lead by a women is bound fail, while forgetting the fact that our dearest "male" president left his own country to get the best healthcare in a country lead by women. and the fact that women had also successfully lead societies renders the 7th century opinion null and void. I understand what you're saying. But if the holy book says you should not do a particular thing, are saying that because we're in 2017, we can disobey that law? The bible and Quoran are not supposed to change irrespective of the times. |

There are youtube channels owned by Nigerians that have surpassed the one million mark though they're personal channels and the owners live abroad. I don't know if that counts. But 1 million subscribers in Nigeria is really huge. These days it's even hard to find channels that are up to 500k subs. |
