PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 12:55pm On Jun 10, 2017
HEYWAYA:
The claim that agbaelu people have higher standard of living than Umu Enugwu can only be an ideation of a disturbed agbaelu mind inebriated on a large dose of 'bitters' they produce. Anambra is rotten, and so are her people and her way of life. The standard of living of those living in gullies and swamps can only compare to those of hippos, and never to those of humans living in clean environment under the cover of touristy palms.
The older generation of agbaelu people - who are now dead and gone, may have achieved one or two things, but the imbeciles they left behind are incapable of saving these achievements from rot.
This is why the only news heard about Onitsha is all about rot: pollution, ritual and destruction. The few remaining sane people from have all fled, and only Enugu people are left to give a fresh lease of life to this massive, decaying hell-hole
This is why the only coordinated loading pit in Onitsha is a Peace Park, the only decent space is an Ifesinachi Plaza, and the only 'rated' tertiary institution remains the enterprise of an Enugu son.
I personally have more stake in Onitsha than any mouth-breathing agbaelu cretin running wild on Nairaland.
Imbeciles don't run an economy. They lack coordination, and they will rather run it to the ground. The fact that Anambra has become the least-performing economy in the South-east within a very short time is a perfect case study.
What bearing does this your rant have on what is being discussed?
PoliticsRe: Better Small But Mighty Than Big For Nothing!!! by Afam4eva(m): 12:33pm On Jun 10, 2017
Some Nigerians are more interested in how outsiders see them than how they actually are. We'll rather languish in poverty and be called "The Giant of Africa" than to do what it takes to take our people out of poverty even if it means Nigeria seizes to exist. I'm not for or against disintegration. But i'll rather Nigeria remains as one as long as we put in measures to ensure equality and devolution of powers which means that every part of our constituent unit will take charge of whatever resources in their domain. That's the only way forward for a big and diverse country like Nigeria. We can keep deceiving ourselves that the unity of this country is non negotiable while people who have been pushed to the wall keep pushing back.

I'm from one the south-eastern states and a graduate doing my nysc,,,ill go straight to the point,,,,the cultural norm especially among the igbos which places pressure on the 1st male child is becoming alarming,,im in my late twenties and it gives me nightmares whenever I check my bank account balance and find out that I can't even settle down and start a family of my own or something tangible as soon as I leave service,,,from the day I graduated from university to my internship uptill this day,,,my parents keep requesting money to handle my siblings welfare,,,ive had to sit my parents down and inform them im unable to have personal savings due to this expenses but they've been adamant,,another issue is that my parents don't cut their coat according to their size,,they enrolled all of us into private universities,,during time for school fees,,,they borrow and later on,,they pay back,,ive graduated and told dem that wouldn't be the best method for the rest of my siblings coz times get hard each day in nigeria,,,my parents will tell me that they gave me the best education(though that's true,,im grateful to them) so I should allow my siblings to get same,,,im not against dat but I feel if u enrol a child into such expensive schools,,u should be able to face the miscellaneous expenses that comes with it,,,,,wen there is a need to pay up,,my mum calls me and starts being sober,,one way or the other,,ill pay up for watever it is,,,ive let her know recently that I can't continue with such lifestyle,,,,i need to start my life,,,if I have in abundance,,,ill contribute to family expenses,,,at the moment,,,i don't have,,,,my mum will tell u how the son of mr.A is paying for all his siblings school fees and taking care of his parents,,,please I need opinions on how to handle this coz honestly I'm tired
While i feel sorry for for you based on the situation you found yourself, i think you're being a bit selfish. If you didn't complain when your parents sent you to good private school, why don't you now want your siblings to enjoy the same privileges. Your parents are trying to give you guys the very best of education.

That being said, i don't think you should kill yourself for anyone. Tell them the true situation of things and hope they understand. To convince them, i recommend what someone else advised which is to beg them for money frequently so that they'll get the memo.

To be Igbo no be beans my brother especially if you're the first male or an Ada.

MaziOmenuko:
This present arrangement is not working; and may not work. A system that supports the few elites to keep getting rich while the masses keeps languishing in abject poverty. Any system that doesn't support the middle class will not work.

But then, the call for restructuring coming right now that power has changed hands sounds off more like a political agitation than an honest call. The North sees it as a ploy to destabilize their tenure and looking at it deeply, one cannot help but see their point. Why wasn't this agitation made when a southerner was president? GEJ called a National conference and sat on all the recommendations made; never acted on any until he started using it as a political campaign.

I still believe that a restructuring is seriously needed; but a dissolution that will retain this same political class and style would be the worse that will happen; a case study is the Southern Sudan.
I don't think it's air to say that the call of restructuring is coming due to political agitation. Afterall it was part of APC's campaign promises.
PoliticsRe: The Nigerian Youth And Tomorrow's Leadership by Afam4eva(m): 11:13am On Jun 09, 2017
Your article is spot on.

The moral and universal decadence in Nigerian is on a whole different level. I laugh whenever i hear people talk about the youths taking over from the older politicians. You just have to look around and see how bad our values have eroded and the youths are most affected.

With the recent incitement of the Northern youth group against people of Igbo extraction in the north and the response both i support and against their utterance by all and sundry as well as the clamour by the Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and by MEND some years back and the Niger Delta Avengers not too long ago and the wading into national issues of groups such as Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Arewa and groups throughout the country, one can't but wonder why we prefer to go round in circles when there is a clear solution to this quagmire we found ourselves in.

We hear it in most political forums and it's a word used by pressure groups all the time. "Restructuring" seems like the way out of some of our problems especially as it relates to tribal bickering but it seems that the powers that be particularly from the north are so averse to this idea and one is keen to ask why such a noble idea will be opposed by any group.

I watched former deputy president, Ibrahim Mantu being interviewed on AIT and in his quest to defend why he's against restructuring, he said that was he's in support of is Economic restructuring and the presenter kept hounding him on what he meant by economic restructuring and he was speechless most of the time. How can you have economic restructuring without political restructuring.

As far as some people are concerned, regions having total control over what is in the domain is tantamount as dividing the country. I wonder why any one would reason this way except such people are parasites who can't exist without having a dose of the resources being produced in another region. It's painful and shameful to watch people deliberately and tactically oppose such a wonderful idea.

Some of them will say that we don't want restructuring because it will cause disunity and you wonder if Nigeria can ever be disunited than it currently is whereby every ethnic group thinks that they're being cheated. A country where nepotism and favoritism both in appointments, allocation and citing of projects are concerned.

We say we want unity but when it comes to practicing it in deed, we fall short. A country where there's a difference between residents and indegenes. A country where a particular tribe can own a state and will wake up one day and ask every other person to leave.

It's clear that we're been ruled by a band of selfish thieves whose sole aim is to milk the nation dry with their penchant for acquiring material things at the detriment of our commonwealth. Worse still, we're in a nation where the born to rule north won't do the right thing because they feel they will lose out from an arrangement that has been arranged to favour them.

I think if we still want NIgeria, it's either we sincerely do the right thing otherwise any group that's calling for secession should be hailed by all. We can't be speaking from both sides of our mouth.
PoliticsRe: Can There Ever Be "One Nigeria"? (personal Experience) by Afam4eva(m): 1:48am On Jun 09, 2017
It's good to know that you know those who hate you. They may laugh with you but don't be mistaken about their true mission...to see you dead.

I'm one unrepentant Igbo person and anytime i come across anybody who i thought was a friend or acquaintance tell me he that he hates Igbos but tells me that i'm different. I'm cutting off that mofo because my loyalty to my people is most paramount.

I was watching a political program yesterday where they discussed the ultimatum given to Igbos in the north. From the presenter who pretended to sound neutral to one of his guest who spent the length of the interview to tell us how Igbos were the cause of the trouble to the mostly Yoruba callers who were obviously in support of their northern brothers, i just saw hate and i was wondering where all this hate is coming from if it wasn't there before. It has always been there but some will hide it or be subtle about it. There's a reason why a lot of Yoruba landlords don't rent their houses to Igbos. It was not because of IPOB or Massob. They're just using the whole Biafran shenanigans to mask the purpose of their hate. Atleast now they have something to tie their hate to...Afterall Igbos started it..
WebmastersRe: Is This Possible by Afam4eva(m): 12:42am On Jun 09, 2017
bot101:
Well, since it's a mobile app, it is very possible. Every mobile phone has a unique IMEI number (except clones & IMEI hacks) which you can use to identify a device. Just keep track of this number and you have device level authentication.
Never really thought of this and now i'm seeing the OP's question in a different light.
WebmastersRe: Is This Possible by Afam4eva(m): 11:41pm On Jun 08, 2017
It's possible and it's not possible. Let me explain why...

There are ways to be able to track users. Some of which are through:

1. IP addresses: If you use IP, the person can always change their IP address. There are IP resellers all over the place
2. Emails: We know one perosn can have 1 million Email addresses if they want to. So this is a no no.
3. Cookie system: You can store cookies on people's system to know whenever they access your site. But they can always use another phone to register for a new account
4. Etc

So, i think the best way to go about it is to use some form of unique identification such as an international passport, National ID card, BVN and other forms of unique identification. That way people cannot cheat the system and even if they intend to cheat, the stress in doing so will discourage them. I don't think they want to go through the stress except your app is some form of money multiplier app.

abeg everyone has a story to tell, u served in ebonyis state, where they treated me like a king, yet they know me from nowhere.

let me ask you, can you sell your goods to anyone as low as the cost price because he speaks your language? @poster
secondly, work on your " the" and they"
there are many good people and bad people out there.
most Hausa's get their goods directly from farmland where it very cheap,so they go and sell it at any price they deem fit. can you go to a Hausa man selling provisions, and expect him to sell to you at the cost price because you speak his language, make una take this propaganda very easy.
if they so much love themselves why would they kill shittes faithfus because they practice different religion, why would they still have almajiri in large numbers, poverty in quantum, yet they have the richest the most number of President etc,
if dangote had come from anywhere in the east ,and we have poor people coming out from his village or his village roads are bad or lack basic amenities, you will see people hurling insult at him.
Igbo people are very individualistic at the same time help each other .
sometimes in it depends on the helper and the" helper"
Every tribe has both good and bad. But truth be told, Hausas tend to be kinder on average than southerners (Igbos, Yorubas etc) and Yorubas are kinder on the average than Igbos etc. Based on my experience, there are times that i didnt have nada. All i just had to do was to go to the mallam that i usually buy stuff from and borrow money from him and me and this mallam are not even close. He gives me the money or even food items without batting an eyelid. Go and ask your own Igbo relation who owns a shop and see the response. Some people are just less after money than other and it's mostly due to experiences of tribes in NIgeria.

PoliticsRe: What The North Must Do In Preparation For Separation - Yakasai by Afam4eva(m): 9:02pm On Jun 08, 2017
There's nothing wrong with fulanis having grazing reserves all over the country as long as they acquire these reserves with their own resources. Afterall they're business men. If Fulanis can have grazing reserves sponsored by the federal government then i don't see why Igbos can't have trading reserves as well.

One of the reasons why a lot of people in the south are averse to grazing reserves is because of the security implications owing to the recent onsurge by some fulani herdsmen. But there are honest fulani men whose sole aim to to go about their duty, so any herdsman who goes about killing people or destroying people's farms should be treated as a criminal.

Its between Mariam Babangida and Stella Obasanjo. Both were top notch classy women.

Patience on the other hand na agbero. She was uncouth and unladylike. That made her popular for all the wrong reasons.

Mama peace was notorious, not popular.

If she isn't throwing grammatical bombs and bullets today, she will be busy bullying one governor or the other, or probably calling some group of people "born throway" undecided

She was such a huge comic relief and was instrumental to the electoral loss of her husband grin
This is how Nigerians fail exam. They asked who was popular whether rightly or wrongly anf you're telling us who has class and doesn't have class. kai.

@topic
Patience Jonathan is the undisputed champion as far as popularity is concerned. The second position goes to the likes of Maryam Babangida, Maryam Abacha and Stella Obasanjo in no particular order. But my favourite has to be Maryam Babangida.
