GEJDHERO:It's terrestrial AIT on regular TV. |
skywalker001:Is it African Independent Television or Accra International Television. Which country are you? |
O boy, see miss. |
GEJDHERO:They has a technical glitch like always but it's showing now. |
HEYWAYA:What bearing does this your rant have on what is being discussed? |
Some Nigerians are more interested in how outsiders see them than how they actually are. We'll rather languish in poverty and be called "The Giant of Africa" than to do what it takes to take our people out of poverty even if it means Nigeria seizes to exist. I'm not for or against disintegration. But i'll rather Nigeria remains as one as long as we put in measures to ensure equality and devolution of powers which means that every part of our constituent unit will take charge of whatever resources in their domain. That's the only way forward for a big and diverse country like Nigeria. We can keep deceiving ourselves that the unity of this country is non negotiable while people who have been pushed to the wall keep pushing back. |
Olowo Dubai? Like seriously? The moment i get to know that you're Olowo Dubai, Young money or mayor of Miami, i know best to stay away from you. You can't be good news. RIP. |
Jesu christi...isn't erection a natural phenomena? It's normal to have an erection. That shows that you're a male human being. |
ikihealthplus:While i feel sorry for for you based on the situation you found yourself, i think you're being a bit selfish. If you didn't complain when your parents sent you to good private school, why don't you now want your siblings to enjoy the same privileges. Your parents are trying to give you guys the very best of education. That being said, i don't think you should kill yourself for anyone. Tell them the true situation of things and hope they understand. To convince them, i recommend what someone else advised which is to beg them for money frequently so that they'll get the memo. To be Igbo no be beans my brother especially if you're the first male or an Ada. |
Mynd44, don't tell me you hid safarigirl's comment because i don't see anything she said that is at variance with Nairaland rules. |
Please, my power plant should not be tampered with. |
Now politicians think that it's about hiring a good graphic designer to create an eye catching poster. |
MaziOmenuko:I don't think it's air to say that the call of restructuring is coming due to political agitation. Afterall it was part of APC's campaign promises. |
Your article is spot on. The moral and universal decadence in Nigerian is on a whole different level. I laugh whenever i hear people talk about the youths taking over from the older politicians. You just have to look around and see how bad our values have eroded and the youths are most affected. |
This people really need to get down from their high horse. They make it seem like they're doing us a favour and we should be grateful to them in our own country. |
dragonking2:I'm not the one that is restructuring Nigeria. I'm i? |
OAUTemitayo:Forget my hypocrisy and focus on the topic. Are you for or against restructuring? |
^^^ It's not too late to restructure. |
With the recent incitement of the Northern youth group against people of Igbo extraction in the north and the response both i support and against their utterance by all and sundry as well as the clamour by the Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and by MEND some years back and the Niger Delta Avengers not too long ago and the wading into national issues of groups such as Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Arewa and groups throughout the country, one can't but wonder why we prefer to go round in circles when there is a clear solution to this quagmire we found ourselves in. We hear it in most political forums and it's a word used by pressure groups all the time. "Restructuring" seems like the way out of some of our problems especially as it relates to tribal bickering but it seems that the powers that be particularly from the north are so averse to this idea and one is keen to ask why such a noble idea will be opposed by any group. I watched former deputy president, Ibrahim Mantu being interviewed on AIT and in his quest to defend why he's against restructuring, he said that was he's in support of is Economic restructuring and the presenter kept hounding him on what he meant by economic restructuring and he was speechless most of the time. How can you have economic restructuring without political restructuring. As far as some people are concerned, regions having total control over what is in the domain is tantamount as dividing the country. I wonder why any one would reason this way except such people are parasites who can't exist without having a dose of the resources being produced in another region. It's painful and shameful to watch people deliberately and tactically oppose such a wonderful idea. Some of them will say that we don't want restructuring because it will cause disunity and you wonder if Nigeria can ever be disunited than it currently is whereby every ethnic group thinks that they're being cheated. A country where nepotism and favoritism both in appointments, allocation and citing of projects are concerned. We say we want unity but when it comes to practicing it in deed, we fall short. A country where there's a difference between residents and indegenes. A country where a particular tribe can own a state and will wake up one day and ask every other person to leave. It's clear that we're been ruled by a band of selfish thieves whose sole aim is to milk the nation dry with their penchant for acquiring material things at the detriment of our commonwealth. Worse still, we're in a nation where the born to rule north won't do the right thing because they feel they will lose out from an arrangement that has been arranged to favour them. I think if we still want NIgeria, it's either we sincerely do the right thing otherwise any group that's calling for secession should be hailed by all. We can't be speaking from both sides of our mouth. |
It's good to know that you know those who hate you. They may laugh with you but don't be mistaken about their true mission...to see you dead. I'm one unrepentant Igbo person and anytime i come across anybody who i thought was a friend or acquaintance tell me he that he hates Igbos but tells me that i'm different. I'm cutting off that mofo because my loyalty to my people is most paramount. I was watching a political program yesterday where they discussed the ultimatum given to Igbos in the north. From the presenter who pretended to sound neutral to one of his guest who spent the length of the interview to tell us how Igbos were the cause of the trouble to the mostly Yoruba callers who were obviously in support of their northern brothers, i just saw hate and i was wondering where all this hate is coming from if it wasn't there before. It has always been there but some will hide it or be subtle about it. There's a reason why a lot of Yoruba landlords don't rent their houses to Igbos. It was not because of IPOB or Massob. They're just using the whole Biafran shenanigans to mask the purpose of their hate. Atleast now they have something to tie their hate to...Afterall Igbos started it.. |
bot101:Never really thought of this and now i'm seeing the OP's question in a different light. |
It's possible and it's not possible. Let me explain why... There are ways to be able to track users. Some of which are through: 1. IP addresses: If you use IP, the person can always change their IP address. There are IP resellers all over the place 2. Emails: We know one perosn can have 1 million Email addresses if they want to. So this is a no no. 3. Cookie system: You can store cookies on people's system to know whenever they access your site. But they can always use another phone to register for a new account 4. Etc So, i think the best way to go about it is to use some form of unique identification such as an international passport, National ID card, BVN and other forms of unique identification. That way people cannot cheat the system and even if they intend to cheat, the stress in doing so will discourage them. I don't think they want to go through the stress except your app is some form of money multiplier app. |
patrick89:Every tribe has both good and bad. But truth be told, Hausas tend to be kinder on average than southerners (Igbos, Yorubas etc) and Yorubas are kinder on the average than Igbos etc. Based on my experience, there are times that i didnt have nada. All i just had to do was to go to the mallam that i usually buy stuff from and borrow money from him and me and this mallam are not even close. He gives me the money or even food items without batting an eyelid. Go and ask your own Igbo relation who owns a shop and see the response. Some people are just less after money than other and it's mostly due to experiences of tribes in NIgeria. |
It's already expensive. |
There's nothing wrong with fulanis having grazing reserves all over the country as long as they acquire these reserves with their own resources. Afterall they're business men. If Fulanis can have grazing reserves sponsored by the federal government then i don't see why Igbos can't have trading reserves as well. One of the reasons why a lot of people in the south are averse to grazing reserves is because of the security implications owing to the recent onsurge by some fulani herdsmen. But there are honest fulani men whose sole aim to to go about their duty, so any herdsman who goes about killing people or destroying people's farms should be treated as a criminal. |
Can someone shed more light on that Eastern Palm university being built by Rochas? |
vicadex07:This is how Nigerians fail exam. They asked who was popular whether rightly or wrongly anf you're telling us who has class and doesn't have class. kai. @topic Patience Jonathan is the undisputed champion as far as popularity is concerned. The second position goes to the likes of Maryam Babangida, Maryam Abacha and Stella Obasanjo in no particular order. But my favourite has to be Maryam Babangida. |
Umu ogbanje...don't focus on your petty business, be looking for how to stop prostitution. |
