John 3:16 |
MAclatunji keeps living up to his reputation as an islamic fundamentalist and he has not disappointed so far. Imagine, a list of potential candidates of the 2019 elections and Rochas Okorocha did not make the list despite the fact that he has made it known on several occasion that the only reason why he won't contest if if Buhari goes for a second term. But the OP totally ignored a man who has svcked several northern privates just to be considered Instead he filled the list with Alhaji this, Mohammed that. Most of which haven't even made the intention to run known. They only qualify because they're from the North and also Muslims. The only non muslim on list who should ordinarily be the favourite since he's currently the number two man, was pushed to the bottom. I think it's high time the security agents quiz Maclatunji because what's left is for him to start throwing bombs all over the place. A stitch in time saves nine. As far the topic goes, if and should Buhari decide not to contest, the major contenders should either be between Atiku who has a huge following in the north and an Osibanjo who will enjoy the power of incumbency. |
UjSizzle:Good to Know...Hope you'll let us into your latest venture ![]() |
PalmchatApp:How come i can't find it on google playstore? |
fratermathy:Exactly. I thought it was an android app and after searching Google playstore, i couldn't find it. |
I repeat, SHUT UP. If you want to supporter Andy Uba, go ahead but don't be an idiot because of it. |
What's this palmchat that i keep seeing everywhere. |
safarigirl:If i didn't know you were Igbo, i would have assumed you were one Yoruba girl that i met in Gwagwalada some years back. That girl knows football like crazy. She knew all the players of Levski Sofia that year that they impressed in the champions league. Its rare to find ladies that know football the way you do. Jisike. |
If someone says "I'll get back to you" just reply them, "Goodluck in your future endeavours" because they'll likely not get back to you. Some ot the statements i hate hearing is I want us to work together |
UjSizzle:Uju, how're you and how's your blog doing? |
I heard the husband's side of the story and couldn't help but believe him to some extent. Some of these actresses use the guise that their husbands are beating them to move out and date richer men while their stock is still in high demand. Chika Ike did it, Jackie Appiah also did it. |
DjAndroid:Iboola Chi and Isaala Chi is not used in all of Igbo land. It's more common in the southern Igbo axis of Abia/Imo and Rivers. though t has come to be accepted as anotehr way of saying "good morning". The Igbo izugbe way of greeting people is Ututu oma, Ehihe oma and Abali Oma for Morning, afternoon and evening respectively and it's not the only Igbo phrases thar are translated directly from English. |
No wonder. |
We now export masquerades? |
Pierocash:Actually, the difference is that there aren't really that much Yorubas in those churches you mentioned which re enforces one of his points that Yorubas don't attend other people's churches. |
Balkan:As much as i agree with the premise that this post is predicated on, i think it's faulty on many levels. Now, i agree with the part that has to do with churches. A lot of these popular churches owned by Yorubas usually have mostly Yoruba people working under them and very few Non Yorubas even though there are thousands to millions of Igbos in these churches. I'm talking purely on personal experience because there's really no data to back this up with. About Yorubas reading Sun Newspaper, i agree with you a great deal. But the reasons may not be because they're owned by an Igbo person per se. It could be because before SUN newspaper came out, other dailies like Vanguard and PUNCH has already become the favourites by a lot of people. Another cogent reason is that people prefer to read things that highlight their lives. If you check SUN newspaper very well, apart from the fact that they report the usual national news that other newspapers report, they tend to appeal to the audiece from the South eastern part of the country with the additional news items that highlights news from the east. For instance, there's hardly anyday that goes by that you don't find news about BIAFRA or Ohanaeze on the frontpages of SUN newspaper. I also agree that Yorubas tend to stick with churches where the founders are Yorubas. The only churches not dominated by Yorubas in a cosmopolitan place like Lagos are those that are owned by non Yorubas, a case in point is Christ Embassy where they don't care where you come from as long as you have something to offer. On the issue of Yorubas using Igbo owned banks. I don't thin anyone checks the owners of banks before using their service. When i started using GTB, i never cared to know who owned them. All i wanted was a place i resumed OK to save my money. It's also a lie that Yorubas don't use those banks because i have Yorubas friends who use diamong and fidelity and are even cajoling me to use those banks because of their quality of service. It's funny how you also conveniently didn't include UBA which is an Igbo owned bank, because until not to long ago, they were like the MTN of banking. Almost everyone with a bank account had a UBA account. So, like i said, i agree with the premise, which is one that re enforced tha tribalism we face daily in Nigeria whether we're Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba. |
What is this BS with SE and SS. Why are our leaders so obsessed with SS. We have to learn to fight our battles alone ijnstead of people who will accuse you of land grabbing at every turn. When are we going to learn our lessons for christ sake. |
logica:See this guy, i dey whine you ![]() I'm actually referring to the full video and not necessarily the comment about Yoruba men not minding if their wives cheat. |
logica:Thank God you get my point. |
logica:I'm not Yoruba. You should tell from my name. |
She made very salient points. |
alizma:Like i said, you may be mistaken school with church. One can be an intellectual and still be a thief. A case in point are people in senior positions in companies who steal from the company they work for. Even though the idea of university education is to make one a logic being, there's absolutely nothing moral about being a graduate. |
smartty68:Wetin concern say person steal with school? Don't thieves go to school again? It's like you people confuse going to school with being born again. |
All these ogbanje hotels sef. Is it by force to own hotel? Whatever happened to beer parlor and motel. |
Tolexander:Why are you personalizing her name? |
No be for Allen junction? Their meat expensive die. Even 10 years ago it was still expensive and it hasn't changed one bit. |
The madness going on in this country is just something else. |
YonkijiSappo:Do you care to explain this? |
The illiteracy in the north no be here. Why the harssmeni? Like WTF. |
The reason is poverty of the mind. In a country where people rate you based on how good your english is, why won't people struggle to woo hungry and judgmental ladies in Ogbanje English. Even in some very tick homogenous villages, men still force themselves to speak English. They really have no choice because it is suicide if you attempt to toast a girl in a ny language other than English. Even the English sef no dey sell market again because it has been toppled by money but atleast, English will keep you in the race until you can prove that your bank account is fat. From my oqn personal experience, whenever i approach a lady of Igbo heritage and knowing that we're from Igboland, i tend to cheap in one or two Igbo nuances once ina while but i always notice that their demeanour changes whenever i do that. The question i can assume they're asking themselves is "I'm i sure this guy is not a villager". Since i noticed this, it's English all the way. |
