Toefl is just meant to test your knowledge of the English langiage and is not really used for admission. Infact, some schools can waive it if you tell them you're from Commonwealth Nigeria or they ascertain that you don't need the exam.

This is very wicked of them. Why does not ETS always exaggerate like this. Is the Collegeboard still not conducting SAT successfully in Nigeria? If not for the ogbanje English that some Nigerians speak, i see no reason why Nigerian should even be writing Toefl cos those questions are for people that don't know what "Come" is in English. Any Nigerian that fails toefl deserves to be flogged.

For Joe Igbokwe, it's all politics but i can take a thing or two from this article. He's trying to highlight the hypocrisy that is prevalent in our society. This hypocrisy is the reason why some parent will shield one of their son who killed another of their son but will call for the head of someone who's not a member of their family who has killed their son. This hypocrisy is evident in all facets of our daily life and it's very irritating. But on the other hand, if i were to play the devil's advocate, i would ask, is it certain that it was Peter Obi's presence that led to the stampede. That's not to take away the repugnance in taking a political campaign to a vigil. It's an insult to the Christian faith. I know how the media would have been abuzz had it been Ngige that went to campaign at the vigil and people died. I want to implore my people that we should always be fair at all times. As much as i condemned Fashola's deportation of some Nigeria, i did not view it from a tribal prism like a lot of people. It would have been better if that deportation was viewed from a constitutional point as opposed to that of tribal myopia.

These Nigerians, as much as i believe they have the right to make their grievances known as it relates to the death of their fellow country man in Goa, i don't think it's right for them to go about destroying government infrastructure. This is something they can't even try in Nigeria because they'll be shot at sight let alone in a country like India. I think that's the height of disrespect.

The Indian authorities should also employ due diligence in dealing with criminals and stop labeling every Nigerian in that country criminals. They should be aware that the government of Nigeria is ready to pay eye for eye and blood for blood. I think Indians benefit from Nigeria than Nigerians benefit from India, so they'll be the ones to lose. he who has an ear let him hear.

Only God knows that i can't live in a place where my kind are hated. How does one even survive in such an atmosphere.

I think this is exactly what should be done. Almost every cargo airport have the capability of becoming a full blown airport they it has to start from somewhere.

It's obvious that Amaechi is a very good footballer. Messi and Ronaldo have nothing on him. I think there's something he's trying to get from Jonathan and the PDP and is trying to use the APC to get it. I don't think he's really interested in leaving PDP.

Amaechi is one of those people that, when they leave the PDP, they don't take anything along with them. They become the nonentities they were before they became important. Amaechi has no stronghold in Rivers like some people will want us to believe. The only reason why he's still pulling some crowd is because he's the incumbent. The moment, he leaves office, him and Orji Uzor Kalu will be in the same category.

I must commend Aregbesola's resolve to develop Osun state to the extent that Osun will be able to compete with other major cities. While i think every state probably needs an airport, i don't think the time for that is now. There are other modes of transportation that Osun can invest in to achieve a relative result to what it wants to achieve with the airport. I don't know why every State want to build an airport at this time. Ekiti wants to build, Abia wants to build etc etc. Are there no airports bordering these states that they can use while investing in other variables. There's an airport in Ibadan and Akure yet they're barely functional and Ibadan is experiences more traffic than any part of the SW apart from Lagos, so where's the traffic going to come from? How about Osun investing in a cargo airport as opposed to a regular airport. States have to understand their idiosyncrasies before embarking on white elephant projects that will add little to the state at the end.

talktimi: There is precedence, though i dont condone jungle justice or barbaric behavior of any kind but many of our doctors and nurses have been known to administer wrong drugs leading to fatalities. Ive personally lost a sibling in such a way.

Can they prove that it was the injection administered by the Nurse that killed the woman. If they were that good they should have kept her at home and treated her themselves. The years they worked together sho0uld have counted for something when Wande decided to release the song without seeking permission from Jazzy. As it is, Jazzy is not even interested in the song, he just wants an acknowledgement and he's ready to let the song go. is that too much to ask? Wande coal did not handle it well, so no one should blame Jazzy for taking the same route.

This has always been my grouse with APC. I remember how Gbawe was celebrating the fact that the much hated IBB said something good about APC and suddenly what comes from IBB's mouth becomes gospel. This is the hypocrisy that is APC. Apart from that, i don't have any problem with them. They use a different rule to judge PDP and a seperate one from themselves. They should learn to look into the mirror every once in a while before critiquing others.

I am not supporting Wande, his actions are unforgivable. I am just saying DJ's approach is wrong. He has been together with Wande for over 10yrs and could not give him the common courtesy of inquiring about this matter privately first.
Lets assume you did something wrong at work, will your boss go on social media to call you out about your actions? It just does not make sense.
I still reiterate that this should not have been DJ first line of action. This should only have been undertaken if he had tried reaching out to Wande and was scorned.

CyberG: Your premise is completely FLAWED when you emphasis getting the office and relegate the track record and performance of the office holder to the background! This is why the country is not moving forward! I would rather have an unknown person as president who would create an environment like the one I live in the West rather than someone from my family who will keep Nigeria the way it is or unable to make any changes, can you do the same? Clearly not because you are here advocating Rochas (just say you want Ibo close to the presidential office or as president) but note that your wish does not and can never translate to that of the majority! A solid strategy is for the APC to field someone who has the will, track records and courage to change Nigeria, not a ball-less president and people like Buhari and Fashola have shown that so far! Their records speak for them very loudly! Going to choose a candidate from the SE or anywhere who will continue the unprogressive policies you people have complained about so many times is downright reprehensible! Those two choices already guarantee approximately 2/3 of the entire population of Nigeria and then, they can move out to contest for votes in Iboland, SS and MN by selling their policies and manifestos, maybe they will get another 10 - 15% not the gambling approach you so mentioned! Let Ibos prove they can rise above parochial sentiments by not voting 99% for a GEJ who is yet to do anything for the 99.99% of the ordinary ibos in iboland as appointment of Ihejirika, Iweala, Oduah, etc will do nothing for the ordinary ibos! When a change of government happens, they will all be replaced but a change of government will not remove the roads and infrastructure which the ordinary ibo man can use to improve his or her business and maybe develop further to attract more people or investment! People care about having enough to eat, a decent place to sleep, good clothes to wear, peace and a happy life and whatever party or leader brings that is far more profitable than a leader from your clan who does not do anything for his people! Let Ibos first show that they will not follow a GEJ or any leader blindly but someone who can be accountable and who will put the people's interest first and then the rest of Nigeria can trust them with leadership in 4 years! Should they continue the way they have been going about it, note that GEJ will get only a maximum of another 4 years and after that, what can Ibos expect? Truth is Yar'adua's death truncated the "slot" of the north and leadership will most likely return there and then after 8 years, they pay you back in the same coin by supporting everyone else except Ibos who refuse to see beyond their noses! A word is enough for the wise!

Going by this premise then who's more qualified than Fashola in APC? It seems APC are more interested in winning than actually presenting the ideal candidate. For now, APC is trying to win an election and they would present someone they feel will help them win as opposed to someone who has a track record of performance. The best they can do is to reach a compromise between the two. I really don't care about APC neither do i care about any party cos i'm confused right now and i'm finding it difficult making a choice. I could care less if APC presents an Igbo candidate. I'm only saying what i nthink will be the deal breaker for them.

So, why's APC not presenting Fashola? Is Buhari more qualified than Fashola? It seems to me that it's APC that using the regional sentiments to field a candidate in the forthcoming election.
