Did you read the substance of the case she instituted? I'm sure you realise she has a lawyer who would have advised her on the best way forward. For her to have instituted a civil case as against criminal after all the braggadocio and ranting from her husband should pull a red flag.
Plus, how come it's a relatively unknown lawyer that later took up the case. Where are all the segalinks and co who even claimed they have other women who are ready to come up with their experiences in court.

In Nigeria, there is no statute of limitation on crime. And rape is a crime. She should go ahead with the case if she is ready for the difficult journey.

If she decided to pull out of the case, it wouldn’t indicate innocence or guilt.

FFK (like you and many others) has been misled by headlines and sensationalism.

It wasn’t a rape case that was thrown out. It was a claim for damages with a demand for an apology.

She sued the Pastor for damages (civil suit) emanating from his denial of the alleged rape (criminal case) which took place 17 years ago. She built her case upon a rape case that has not been decided and for which no evidence or witness has been presented and examined.

The Judge decided that her suit (claiming damages from both the rape allegation and the pastor’s denial) was a time wasting ploy and an abuse of judicial processes. He felt it was cruel and not an attempt at seeking justice.

He decided to be lenient in slamming her with a 1 million naira fine instead of 10 times that amount.

The judge was lenient, to be honest.

Someone else would have fined her a lot more.


She put the cart before the horse. She and her sympathisers first of all judged the pastor in the eyes of the press and social media, before heading to the proper place to seek redress.

She has not presented one shred of evidence. But she wants us to condemn the man based on her story. If it were so, every accused person would be in prison.
