Michellekabod2, I hope I am safe. I post jocular/sarcastic comments sometimes. Hope you won’t come for me in those moments. ![]() |
budaatum:It is interesting that you would crop out a part of my comment and respond to it. Anyway, I stated “my truth” (in the parlance of proponents of your movement ) and it is actually valid. There is no grand scheme to subjugate women. I wonder why there is thus, a sweeping reaction to something that cannot be observed except in isolated infrequent instances. I think women have enjoyed favouritism over the years and have weaponised it. In the pórn industry, women are paid higher. There is no reactionary movement from men decrying inequality because of that. Instead we have feminists suggesting that men have objectified the female body because of it and also, that we do it to promote that industry. Another case is the fashion industry (modelling). Paying unsolicited compliments is a risk today. But since when are compliments solicited? The beauty of a compliment is in the spontaneous thoughtfulness of the observer. Why is a compliment from a man to a woman regarded as both condescension and predatory behaviour? Isn’t that reaching? In contrast, when men decry rudeness or wickedness from a female, feminists jump on it and say she is a strong woman. Lol. Bad behaviour is not strength of character. Men today, walk on egg shells - at least those men who care to be politically correct. It’s all so interesting. |
RedCreme21:I have not witnessed this stigmatisation you are crying about. Except if you mean favouritism, then yes. Women have specific government programs for their advancement. Women and children are primarily considered for rescue in wartime. This idea was reinforced so much, it became part of pop culture. Men are not. In a case of intoxicated sex reported as rape, women are the victim not men, as only the woman can give or withdraw consent. Quite amusing that “patriarchy” is now the monster. Anyway, I maintain that the concept is a feminist construct. I don’t “hate” feminism. Rather, I am amused by the fervour and disorientation of its proponents today. Are you haters of men or seekers of equality or both? Are you the victims all of the time or do you admit to being perpetrators too? Women and men are essentially different, biologically and emotionally. That is not a bad thing and it is certainly not the fault of men. |
budaatum:Lmao. That you would equate this to slavery says a lot about your disposition. Anyway, I do not see women in bondage. All the women around me have never been prevented from achieving anything just because of their gender. Rather they have enjoyed praise for their achievements. This is what piques my interest. Men do these things but that’s normal. Women do them and want recognition and applause. Lol. Interesting. |
Magnoliaa:The patriarchy you despise gave you those perks. Why then do you fight against a concept that puts you ahead? It appears this “patriarchy” of yours is actually a feminist construct that gives women undue advantage. Leave it in place then, and enjoy the goodwill of benevolent men. Lord knows I love women a lot, and I want them to contribute their uniqueness in society. |
crestedaguiyi:Tiff na tiff. Whether government level or street level. Interpol no be EFCC. They don’t have issue with our politicians. They focus on international criminals and Mompha is their latest customer. Face them not EFCC. The way people openly hail yahoo boys now,... it is well. |
pocohantas:Yoruba Angels are the best. Everybody knows. ![]() |
Sleevia:Lol. Exception, not the rule bro. |
This thread really cracks me up. Why can’t these naija feminists agree on a creed? Today they want equal rights, tomorrow they want to subjugate the men, next week, they want all women to hate men. You should not confuse the thunder/lightning that’s trying to locate you abeg. Stay one place. ![]() We have witnessed undue favouritism for women in school and the work place and I do not care very much for the advancement of any special women rights. They enjoy basic human rights like us men. It doesn’t end there though. By reason of their gender many have enjoyed favours and perks of being a woman and somehow spun the stories to appear as the victims. It’s so bad that these days, chivalry is patriarchy. I just dey laugh. |
I think many beautiful wives think their beauty is the be-all and end-all of their husband’s existence. So they don’t work on their character. A man seeks peaceableness and companionship from his wife. If deprived at home, he would be sore tempted to seek them outside. He didn’t marry you to consume his money and look pretty for the association of instagram wives. |
CanadaOrBust:I’m not surprised. Paedophiles would be triggered by my comment. One day you will be caught in your depravity. |
Yoighaman:Lol. Attraction for me is a mindset that can be tuned. I still cannot bring myself to admire a small girl sexually. I’m sorry for you if you are attracted to smallies. One day you will go too far and sleep with a minor. |
mrvitalis:All land belongs to the government. That’s why you pay tenement. You’re only leasing it. |
Guy, give her hot hot. Don’t disappoint your ancestors. It shall be well with you. ![]() Take a shot of this for extra effect.
|
This babe overreacted. She had no right to be so disrespectful to the driver. She will embarrass you one day. Spectacular embarrassment. Continue condoning shît. |
![]() I still don’t know what some guys see in these small small children. What attracts you to them? Let them date their mates please. I hope these aunties also took their anger out on the randy man. |
BabaAlabi:In this case, telling her to mind her business is healthy and reasonable. Why? Because the OP offered help and it was turned down. Domestic dispute is very slippery. The rescuer could easily become the villain. Madam OP took the right decision by reporting to the police but the victim has decided not to follow that path. No offence, I don’t know how old you are but you’ll eventually arrive at a point in life when you’d realise you cannot force anyone to take wholesome advice. You will have to sadly watch them self-distruct. I am passionate about balance and fairness in relationships, but I’ve learned through embarrassing situations, to stop offering advice (repeatedly) to people enduring toxic relationships. They, more often than not, never listen until after the fact. This victim is determined to work out her marriage her own way. Let’s hope she survives it. |
Madam, if you don’t withdraw the case, this woman will quarrel with you when she has the strength. She and her husband will tell you off. My advice is drastic but necessary for your sanity and safety. Avoid that family as much as possible. They are a terrible example for your son. She probably thinks she’s the first virtuous, long-suffering wife ever, who endures the pains of the world. It’s like her ancestors are beckoning and she misses them. Let her continue collecting beating. Let her village people finish the work they started. I pity her and I really do pity her children. She’s trying to hold a marriage together, using her life as adhesive. If she continues to condone this nonsense, one day, the husband will go too far. It’s not every couple that will celebrate 40 or 50 years together. If one person is habitually and unapologetically abusive, leave him or her in that marriage and move on. |
Op is definitely a guy. Brilliant content! Bar man, give this guy 2 bottles. ![]() |
Naija babes don’t believe in love o. Well, maybe the love of money. But na guys dey rush them. If you want to laugh, just ask your girlfriends to show you their Instagram DMs. |
GrabHisBalls:Double standard? No. Now you’re overreacting. Calm down.
|
lilmax:You have said it all!
|
Mehn, guys are moving mad o. If you’re sure you’re the main chick, no problem. If you’re not sure, better ask him to clarify your position in the pecking order. We don’t want things to get messy. |
matildababy:It’s not a matter of courtesy. Na ask dem ask. If you’re down, good. If not, fine. Something that both of you will enjoy, you babes will be acting like you’re offering us gold. |
MrCork:This guy, you still dey Nairaland? Anyway, you just can’t postpone the tutorial to next week. Post the lessons now. |
Sambaby7640:Correct. The people saying nonsense about Falz are slaves. Yes, slaves with inferiority complex. They prefer naija rappers who rap with the accent of a black american thug. As if such fake, forced accents represent the originality of your upbringing/society which influences the message in your music. One boy born in Nnewi will now be sounding like low budget Future, with the ethnic accent stubbornly peeking out at intervals. ![]() |
The video was well made!
|
So girlfriend na investment abi liability? When will you learn that once you put up your affection, attention and body for sale, you have unwittingly thrown your dignity and self respect out the window. You want equal rights after selling yours? Lol. |
Naija feminism that is spiced with pepper inside. They only want equality when benefits are involved but certainly not for responsibility. ![]() Nice list. Mods, front page straight! |
Officialgarri:You are very correct ![]()
