I'm sure within 3 years, the ill -effect of the lockdown would be over and there'll be close to full employment again in America. This is just a temporary setback and not a permanent one. Employment? Yes. There has always been jobs. But the US is a highly consumerist society. People who depend on salaries are mostly consumers while those who engage in business or entrepreneurship are mostly producers. Consumers are more lavish, while.prodicers are frugal with spendings. I'm sure you know if an uncle who has a business but is stingy |

In this period when people are losing their jobs you are still advising people to search for them instead of advising them to be self employed.
Look at the US and Chinese scenarios. Just only 2 months of lockdown and 40 million Americans are filing for unemployment benefits and protesting that the government should ease the lockdown. They live pay check to paycheck. Now compare that to the Chinese that closed as much as 60 days and yet nothing happened.
Banks are laying off. Oil rigs are shutting down. Salaries are being slashes and you still want people to mortgage their lives for salaries. This is not the time to advise people to look for work but to align with changes of post-covid. |

ClassicMG: just because he said we need to get vaccinated which you and I knows it's the most sensible thing to do I don't know if you are naive, ignorant or an agent. So because Bill Gates foundation donates billions this is what has caused you to think with your stomach rather than your head? This is the same foundation that introduced tetanus vaccines in Kenya only for the Catholic church to discover that it was aimed at making women sterile. This is someone who has frolicked with well known Satanists such as Marina Abramovic (Google her). He comes to TED talk and talks about pandemics and boom we have COVID-19. Even if you want to dispute this, where have you heard of IDs or digital certificates being given to people when they are vaccinated? And this is coming from someone who is a globalist and has been pushing for population control. Coming to Nigeria, why is the speaker so quick to get this bill passed. When it was presented for reading other house members did not even have a copy. His flimsy excuse was that the HoA staff could not make enough copies. So house members were deliberating on a bill they have not read. Even the NCDC chairman has said the timing is not appropriate. And we even have the Quarantine bill which is even a more holistic bill that covers this same issue. Why should they push for everyone to get vaccinated when people's immune system can deal with it. Have you not heard of herd immunity? Put two and two together. Don't expose your ignorance |

Are you talking about the herd immunity that has been discarded by many countries like England and Italy because they found many recovered patients had no antibodies present in their blood?
I think you are the one who needs to read up, Sweden is the only country that has more deaths than recovered patients at a staggering ratio of 2 deaths for every recovery. And yet the UK Italy, France have more deaths? Even the number of confirmed cases in Sweden is lower than the recorded deaths in these countries. I misunderstood you by saying you need to read up. Sorry you need to discern and understand what you read. |

emmanuelewumi: Adebola Adegunwa started as a photographer and became a major distributor of Kodak with offices all over Nigeria
When photo film was out of business he diversified into marine, insurance, real estate, investment in shares he is a major shareholder of Sterling Bank and CSCS.
He gave his children the best education in Europe and America.
It is these children that have now created new income streams for the family business
Bigi drinks. These are products that are giving the Lebanese owned 7up bottling company makers of Pepsi, teem, mirinda and 7up. And American owned Coca cola, Sprite, etc a big fight for market share in Lagos and South West Nigeria.
The snacks by his Rite foods, has equally gotten market share from UAC foods Gala and Chi foods sausage rolls
The Adegunwaa happen to be one of the family Businesses that are giving big multi national companies a big fight for market share in the country and never believed the Indians and Lebanese were given an undue advantage We need more of these stories to change the narrative. If you go to the departure hall of our international airport, you see many back face, but go to the arrivals you see white, yellow and orange face. Definitely there must be something they are seeing that we are not. Could it be that our entitlement mentality or work culture is what is setting us back? I'm opprtuned to work in a place where there is a motley of different nationalities. They way the Americans and Asians approach their work is very different from the way we do ours. The foreigners believe that they have a job to do so "let's get it done", but my naija brothers are only interested in collecting salary. So while the white is interested in completing his task within the shortest possible time in his shift, the Nigerian is interested in delaying the task so that his 12-hour shift would end. This I think has reflected in our business and social life |
