LaIabobo: The IGP-IRT has always been an effective formation, but in recent time, there have been cases of overbearing attitude from the officers acting without accord from Abuja.
I wonder what triggered this decision. It's a policing error. Why having a formation within a state that does not report to the Commissioner of Police of that state?? They should upgrade the capacity of the State commands to be able to function at the capacity of the IRT. |

It's a misnomer for the EFCC Act to limit those eligible as EFCC Chairman to only serving/retired members of Security agencies.
What about Judges/Lawyers? Accountants/Forensic Auditors? Are they also not very familiar with the financial system/criminal Justice system?
There is indeed a need to review the EFCC Act to expand those that can serve as Chairman.
The only fear is that our extremely corrupt NASS will use that opportunity to water down the powers of the agency. |

The grounds are so funny...that he didn't purchase form on time When there is a waiver recognized by the court... No Case Recognized by which court? Of course, the aspirant knows stay of execution may be obtained. He just wants to put pre-election matter hurdle in front of Obaseki in case he wins, it will then be pursued to logical conclusion. This is not looking good for our democracy. The intrusion of courts into party matters should be minimal. Unfortunately, it is the same PDP that has been encouraging the courts to be dabbling into such matters. Let us continue watching. |

Some Nigerians who will never have sense until they die, are still supporting that armed robber. rusep: Nigeria for you. If you catch a thief they will bring religion, tribe or political angle to it. May God punish those depending thiefs. Don't mind them! Despite the state of the nation, some people will still be using politics to thwart every sane move by the govt to punish graft. This dishonoured Otiki is both a thief and an actor. Look at him borrowing the act of political thieves during his court martial. Politics › Re: Edo 2020: APC Releases Guidelines For Primary Election by agabusta: 4:04am On Jun 22, 2020 |
If the FG asks all political parties to come and apply before any political gathering is allowed during election period, letters would have been written to the UN, EU and the US.
Hypocrites are hailing this faulty precedence until politicians start replicating it at other states in Nigerian to fight political opponents.
Obaseki is introducing dangerous political precedence into the polity.
Till date, he and minority members (10) inaugurated the State House of Assembly in the night, without carrying other members (14) along.
The remaining members, which are in the majority are yet to be inaugurated till date, creating vacuum for their constituencies.
The governor is not being called to order over this anomally by good people of this nation.
This needs to be condemned before other states and even the FG start using same faulty approach to cage the legislative arm of the government crippling a major arm of our institutional democracy. |

Sebastine1994: nonsense move, nonsense
the state government is no better than the discos, inshort the state will perform extremely lower, state that cannot handle simple assignment.
we would never get anything right in this country, health, education, power, politics, sports, nothing is working in this shithole.
my suggestion is this: citizens Crowdfunding the government has failed us, let's try another formula. kogi state for example has a million citizens, if they come together to contribute 100 each, they would build factory everyday. factory that would create jobs , generate revenue and alleviate poverty . biscuits factory, ict firms, toothpick factory, garment factory, the list is endless.
kogi citizens will no longer depend on government, but what do they do instead: they want manner to fall from above, ajaokuta to reopen and kogi becomes powerful,
nothing is working in that state, half of it's population are civil servant, police in Abuja. many graduates of kogi state University are outside the state, looking for elusive jobs. nothing will change in this Damm country untill the citizens stand up and speak with one voice.
if we come together and crowdfund, the sky will be our limits.
it doesn't make sense to live our collective survival in the hands of a few idiot, hahaha hello is nothing without the citizens who put him there, when the citizens find a way to reduce their over reliance on the government, that is when things will change. government should not create jobs but private firms We are not a honest set of people. I don't mean you and me but majority of Nigerians. The people at the helms of affairs of the crowd found will steal the money and tell the others stories. |

Meninmen: until Bayelsa election, there was no technical judgment as regards election matters in court.
I don't know what you mean by the above bolded. Tending of required certificates has ALWAYS being a requirement to contest election. It has nothing to do with the Bayelsa election ruling. So, if Obaseki showed his certificates go APC and INEC b4 he became Governor in 2016_ and APC and INEC didn't see any issue, what now happened in 2020 that only APC is seeing discrepancy in his results?
Whatever the case, the power play is visible to the blind. Oshiomole doesn't want Obaseki has Gov.
If Obaseki wins his re-election (let's say under PDP), let APC drag Obaseki and PDP to court that his certificates has discrepancies. The Bayelsa loss means APC has to be more careful in the scrutiny of the credentials of its candidates. Its not compulsory for Obaseki to fly the APC flag, there are many parties out there if the APC says no. He should go to them and stop making noise all over. |

Power cannot stored. Once produced must be off-taken. NBET is that plug that guarantee that power produced is paid for hence GENCOS can continue to produce. They are a temporary arrangement till market parity is attained Thanks for the enlightenment. |
