Democracy comes to play when the leader with the majority followers is allowed to show the way.

If he dictates and the majority agrees with him, then I see no problem with that. So far there is no evidence he is blackmailing them or putting a gun on their head.

That is democracy for you. The ability to influence more people and convince them to follow your path and not the other person.

So far blackmail is not involved, this is no dictatorship.

My gf was asked to provide her bvn when she went to register her national ID recently.
Fortunately for her she called me and I advised against giving it up.

NIMC already registered NIN for everybody that has a BVN.

When such a person comes, they just regularize the data.

That is the reason, when you come to them, they ask for BVN in order to pull out the data.

Hmmmm, this is a terrible way to run a country. The ministers were put there to get quick results in relatively short duration and most of them just want that. If they can't fire or threaten to fire those under them, then you've removed all the powers from them. I'm not saying that a free and fair trial shouldn't be observed but I'm sure that no minister would fire any CEO without extremely concrete evidence. Trials and hearings can take several months and these criminals would keep looting and enjoying our Common wealth

The Ministers do not have the power to fire them, according to the laws setting up the agencies.

The Ministers' actions are illegal, and it's a good one that the govt is going back to playing by the books.

Your unit is most likely having panel problems. The panel can be repaired at Bornu way, Yaba for like 4/5k. But it must be removed and re-installed by a knowledgeable HVAC tech to avoid stories that touch.

From the write up I really don't see any reason for the public outcry against the bill...the fact that it bestows much power to the DG NCDC who in this case is a career technocrat as against a politician gives the bill credence.
