Shayetet13:
Listen carefully: My uncle, a world renowned surgeon was working with John hopkins in the United States. When he decided he wanted to come back to Nigeria to work, National Hospital Abuja accepted his application immediately, but by the time he came down to Nigeria, he was required to submit his basic qualifying certificates. He was even required to submit his MBBS despite having several post graduate degrees in surgery and recommendations from john hopkins. Nigeria president is the biggest job in Nigeria, not something you joke with like all of you are currently doing. Buhari ought to submit that minimum qualification even if he got courses under his belt. That general is saying rubbish. If you must show your certificate for any job in Nigeria, it applies to the president. You guys are just killing principles in the country with your dishonesty, but you do not know it
All this your story does not disprove what the retired General said.

The man said all military personnel are required to lodge their original certificates with the military.

How does that relate to other establishments asking just to sight them?

Major Al Mustapha has equally come out to say his originals were also collected by the Army. Do you have a contrary opinion to this?

Thank you very much sir. I really appreciate your response.
It costs 2500 if you go to the Port Health without paying online. There are people there who can assist with online payment, but this causes delay.

If you decide to register and make payment online by yourself, it will cost you 2000 naira.

https://yellowcardnigeria.com

Ensure you make a print out of the RRR after successful payment. Make a photocopy of the data page of your passport and write the RRR code on it.

This is what you'll submit after they do a roll call, which means you have to fill your details (name and RRR), on the register as soon as you get there.

You won't get to the MM airport before you see the Port Health. It is beside that airport toll.

Sometimes you may meet a crowd there and spend hours. Be prepared and plan ahead.

You are expected to get the vaccine I think 10days (or maybe 14days, not sure now) before your travel date.

Well, some people get to hear about the yellow card as they're about to travel, they'll then rush to get the card and corrupt some people there to have it back dated.

Some go for entirely fake cards. It's always better to do the right thing ahead. Nigerians complain about corruption, but it is actually our penchant for cutting corners and not doing the right thing at the right time that corrupts public services, before those ones pick it up to a higher level.

Another delegate to the recent PDP convention departs again?

Prof. Agbi was the chairman of the Elders Council of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State until death.

It was gathered that the late PDP chieftain was one of the delegates that attended the party’s National Convention held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State last Saturday.

The Constitution is very clear, being educated up to secondary school level is enough, others are extraneous
Indeed they are extraneous. But what happens to the candidature of a person facing criminal prosecution with high probability of being convicted?

I'm sure you'll agree with me that it's a high risk. APC was smart enough to avoid this risk with Shittu in Oyo state.
PoliticsRe: Ngozi Okonjo Iweala Did Not Do NYSC by agabusta: 7:51am On Oct 09, 2018
globemoney:
You are indeed a blockhead. Electoral act is superior to NYSC act. INEC does not recognize NYSC.
SSCE is the educational minimum requirement required to seek election in Nigeria. Okonjo Iweala happens to be over qualified.
Pls don’t mention me again
The Electoral Act is not superior to the NYSC Act.

The Electoral Act as a law of the land does not invalidate other existing laws. Try and be informed.

If you commit a crime punishable by other laws, the existence of the Electoral Act does not preclude you from criminal prosecution.
PoliticsRe: Ngozi Okonjo Iweala Did Not Do NYSC by agabusta: 7:43am On Oct 09, 2018
obailala:
Being a graduate does not automatically make one a criminal simply because they don't have NYSC. I believe that is only necessary if you are vying for a position that requires your degree certificate (e.g. head of parastatals, public enterprises, civil service positions). If I dump my degree certificates and tender only my SSCE result as my highest qualification, I have no case to answer to anyone. This would be a very simple issue for the court to clarify if any so called political opponent decides to raise dust; this is very simple logic and the case would be thrown out sane day.

Kemi's case was different, she had a problem because she tendered a degree certificate and then submitted a fake NYSC document. She was simply bullied out of power. If she decided to fight it, she could have found a way out; just that the fake certificate made things a bit messy for her.
Your submission is incorrect if you put it side by side with the provisions of the NYSC Act. Reference a snippet of the Act posted below please.

13. Offences and penalties, etc.

(1) Any person—

(a) who fails to report for service in the service corps in the manner directed by the Directorate or as the case may be, prescribed pursuant to the provisions of this Act; or

The minimum requirement to contest for elective positions or to be appointed a minister in Nigeria is WAEC result. If lack of NYSC certificate becomes an issue for those you listed above, all they need do is just present their WAEC results.
You are right. But what a smart opponent will do is just to instigate a case against them that they have committed a criminal offence by not submitting themselves for National service as demanded by Nigerian laws.

The outcome of the case is what will damage the affected person's candidacy.

Comprehension and herd mentality is a major problem in Nigeria.

Sahara reporters clearly mentioned "At the venue of the convention", and even gave vivid descriptions of the ones they saw, whereas, the herd members above kowtowed to the pictures of posters displayed at other places in the city.

That was a major drawback of the Ambode regime.

A lot of people condemned the action of asking the man of God to leave his official residence within 24hours. Imagine such callousness. A married man with children recently disengaged from paid service.

What an irony. It is now the turn of the Ambodes to be begging for mercy. cheesy

11 general hospitals already built by fashola and you still want to build more...why not upgrade the existing ones to sophistication and make them available / reachable while u focus on other sectors Mr Governor to be?
Bros we need more and Lagos has the capacity. The existing should also be properly maintained and upgraded as you said, but that is no reason not to build more hospitals. Each LCDA should have a big General hospital that can cater for thousands.

If you visit any of the existing hospitals, you will have pity for both the patients that are on queue for hours and for the overworked medical team.

Our Docs should not be running out when we have serious need of them here.

go and impeach him, na so impeachment easy? You forget he is the governor and the president is behind him. He can lock up the assembly, nothing will happen so long as the present police CP is in Lagos. Seems you don't know the power a sitting governor wields
A sitting governor has no power Oga. We were all in this country when a siting governor of a major state like Anambra was harassed and pushed here and there by some small boys.

Ordinary police commissioner, Mbu dealt with Amaechi.

Fayose was impeached and chased out of town by just one detachment of mobile police officers.

The CP of a state can be transferred by a signal from the IG of police.

The governor Does not have the right and power to lock down the state house of Assembly, this your idea is anti democratic and irritating.

Politics is local, Abuja has left Ambode to his fate, as it is obvious everybody in the local chapter of his party is against him.

Abuja can not force a candidate down the throat of an influential state chapter of a party. They can never behave like the PDP, that forces candidates on state chapters that even went to the extent of carrying out the primary election in Abuja.

This is an election petition tribunal for goodness sake.Oshiomole's case was reinforced by counting of the ballot during the Edo guber so what is the fuss about this huh
The counting would be done in court of course.Even if more evidence will be sought after or detected nothing amiss even as both sides sought to establish their cases.
The tribunal is obviously going bias in this regard. However justice will be served as when due.The higher courts are still there to adjucate on this matter. So no hiding place for anyone
The Tribunal said the PDP did not query the entire result in their petition as such they can't demand for a recount of the total number of votes.

They definitely can request for a recount of the polling units they challenged the result in their petition.

The PDP and it's legal team has made a mess of the case. Don't pass the buck to the Tribunal.
