Now they have turned to best lovers of Nigeria albeit ignoring the graft and maladministration that pervaded the last government. Bunch of jokers,
Buhari aint resigning. He has been given an initial 4 years mandate, and he'll complete it successfully. If you like, keep hoping and praying for his death, that will only keep him longer here according to African Elders.

davidif: What in goodness name do we need a CIA for? Its not like we are at war with any foreign country? The countries that have powerful intelligence agencies are the big and wealthy countries who have so much influence all over the world (USA, China, former USSR etc) or those who have enemies all over (Israel, North Korea). Last time i checked, Nigeria is cool with Cameroun, Niger, Benin and Chad so what seems to be the problem?
If its Boko Haram you are chasing, then you use millitary intelligence but why do you have to go establish another money guzzling bureaucracy like the NIA just because you want to 'feel among'? It is quite naive for u to think we don't need to gather foreign intelligence during peace time, and when we seem not to have any enemy. Some foreign countries are equally gathering intelligence on us and we need to counter this. That is the kind of mindset that blew the boko haram issue out of proportion. |

It is simply like the Office of the NSA - nothing but an ATM through which money is siphoned by the Presidency under various fictitious endeavors like Arms Deal and Covert Operations. Of course we need a foreign intelligence unit. The law setting up the others has given them some restrictions as regards overseas operations. |

Those civil servants purposely make things cumbersome and complicated so that one will not have option but to come settle them. Was your application a fresh one or a renewal? Because on that NIS portal, there is no portion for renewal. So I am a little confused on whether those carrying out a renewal will also apply as a fresh application. Secondly, how much did you pay? Was it 17,000 or 17,500? I saw 17,000 on the portal including address verification but some people are saying 17,500. I dont want to make the mistake of short-paying, so that they won't pick on that. Sorry for my plenty questions. Thirdly, by undergoing all the process yourself, how long did it take before you got your passport? |

Tamaris1: Col Hameed Ali. It's a shame on you and your Customs that it is cheaper to bring in cars through Benin Republic than direct to Nigeria. The import duties collected by the Benin Government is so affordable that Nigerians prefer to pay it along with the Land Border charges. Asking your citizens to pay 70% duty charge is outright wickedness! The duty on fairly used cars is 35%, brand new cars is what is 70%. The duties were increased to this rate in 2014 long before Col. Hamid came on board. |

Tyson Fury with his big mouth is just looking for a short cut to some big fight that will rake in some heavy cash. It's just sad that Anthony is taking is bait. He has been going all over Twitter hyping the non-finalised Anthony Joshua/Fury fight. Just trying to spike up the interest of a lot of people and promoters. He should first go and fight Deontay Wilder to warm up. The winner of Tyson Fury/Deontay Wilder bout can then be set up for an epic showdown with Anthony Joshua. In this way, the final showdown will generate more interest and rake in millions, especially if it would be set up in US. The handlers and promoters of AJ should ignore Fury. If he beats him now, that is how they will be belittling his victory that Fury has been out of action for a while. Same way some are trying to belittle his victory over Klitschko that he fought an old man. |

papaejima1: Only the discerning and those versed in international real politik and subterfuge will understand it. But think AFRICOM, think of the conversion of our foreign reserves from dollar to renminbi and the bloomberg + others report that once it succeeds that the west has lost control of African economy to China cos other smaller nations and BRICS will follow. Bros, there are more than you see going on behind the scenes.
Remind me again why they wanted Gadaffi out, Saddam out, Assad out etc Remind me why ISIS was formed by a former Gitmo detainee. Think of why US could stay on earth and see water on the surface of the moon but couldnt see a convoy of ISIS trucks stretching from Syria to Turkey which was visible even from space but had to wait until Russia pointed it out and started bombing them! All your points are speculative. It is not only you that is vast in international politics. Some presidents rejected Africom before GEJ. Africom didn't start or end with him. From the antecedents of Buhari, these foreign countries with their array of intelligence network already know he cannot grant approval for Africom Base in Nigeria. Nigeria cannot convert all its foreign reserve at a go to the renminbi. That is tantamount to economic suicide. The trade between both countries is not yet ripe for such nor has the renminbi gained such level of international acceptance. GEJ never made that a policy nor proposed that, it was the independent minded Sanusi before he was kicked out that broached converting a small percentage. When GEJ brought in Emefiele, he didnt delve deeply into that route. Our oil income is in dollars, it is not as easy as you are saying it. Moreover the monetary policy of a country has some level of independence from those that have authority over the fiscal matters. Also, Buhari through his words and body language never proposed doing away with the Chinese. So this point is trashy. You are not actually saying anything but dancing around speculations. Bring out the strong points why all major foreign leaders want GEJ out. Stop hiding under the cover of "a lot is happening behind the scenes", bring out these happenings if you are conversant enough. And let's see if most are not due to the failings of GEJ himself as a leader. |

The senate is supposed to send proposal for the construction to the Ministry of Aviation and Works.
It is these ministries that will then award the contract and send the cost to NASS.
They are always dabbling into areas beyond their mandate.
If the people at the helms don't know their onions, they can even say they want to be the ones to award the contract as they are the ones that put it in the budget.
What they should have done is to advice the ministries concerned to send the proposal to the NASS, and they add it to the budget. |

Honestly, no serious minded person should take Wike serious when it come to accusations. However, I give it to him in terms of infrastructural development, he is trying. He has completed most of Amechi's admistration ongoing work which is very rare in Nigeria politics. I remember his hilarious public outburst on that 'cassette'.
