I think Nigerian govt should step in and stop people from photographing our misery. In some countries, even the u.s i think, people are not allowed to photograph unclothed or mutilated bodies. We ought to stop letting international or national people take photos, let the dead rest in peace, This is not a freak show, the photos don't help anyone. Like the saying, let's not air our dirty laundry outside shocked.
A NEW FEDERAL UNIVERSITY.

Dear Friend,

Do you think an admission to the university can be a possibility in just few days to now?, Even without writting a JAMB exam? I can read your mind right now, this sounds too good to be true.Fortunately it is TRUE,You will certainly be swept off your feet after knowing all about this NEW FEDERAL UNIVERSITY.

1.The university accepts only your o/level results(waec or neco)5 credits at not more than 2 sitting in your relevant course of study.Forget jamb,post-jamb you will not write any entry exam. You are only requested for your o/level result and thats all.Candidates awaiting results are also considered to apply for admission.

2.The university is not under ASSU,it is under the ministry of education, thus it means that it does not strike. You are certainly sure to complete your programme FAST within 4 years.AMAZING NOT SO!

3.The university is a tuition FREE university.I was personally dazzed to my wildest imagination when i got to know about this SECRET.You dont pay a single dime for tuition.I think we should thank God for this because we will no longer look for overseas tuition FREE university, the stress and hassles for the processing are definately gone.We now have a tuition FREE university right here in Nigeria.

4.It is a full time Federal university.

5.To be continued, www.tuition-free-university..com
na wa for una wey dey ask for university name, which university state or federal dey under ASUU and which ones dey under ministry?

somebody dey post rubbish una dey respond

Your friend might just prefer the flexibility involved with renting.
Building a house in naija if one isn't familiar with the know how is always gonna be like a white elephant.

It's been proven mathematically in the UK that renting compared (like for like over an equal no of yrs)to buying a house is better economically.
I know naija is a different case study as people don't bother abt mortgage and stuffs but whats the feasibility of him being able to build a house around where he works?
If the transport system and security threats were non issues then he should def be looking at building
Mortgage is a means of providing a means for people who can't afford a one off payment to purchase a house, the banks come by giving you a loan which you repay spread over years. Just like hire purchase - it is a one of the means banks make money as you are buying at a higher pricing (including interest). You can equally buy a house by one off payment which doesn't require to the making monthly payments if the have the cash which is cheaper.

When you see black people, in an african background acting like americans. It's a nigerian movie

as i opined earlier some peeps are more interested in living with the Joneses and renting, rather than building in an area that isnt posh. you wonder why sooooooooo many oil workers retire in their 50s with no house to boast off, because they didnt want to live in yaba, and they had been used to living in chevron estate in lekki or shell flats in ikoyi. meanwhile they dont have the 100 million or so to buy and build there. rather than move away to where they can afford they will rather pay 5 million for 2 years rent, and nothing to show for working 20 years in shell ! true story folks for a lot of nigerians. living with the Joneses is a futile attempt. the rich always know each other. unless the reasons for renting are practical and reasonable like damola's reasons, in the long run nothing beats owning your own home. the pride with it is immeasurable
True yarn, it's very common in PHC, some even end up renting two rooms in waterfront slums, and always live in past glory.

If the majority of advice being given on this forum is followed, then 80% of Nigerians should not marry. Apart from the banking and Oil/Petroleum sectors tell me which other sector can pay a fresh graduate more than N40K/month.

I don't blame them because most of the posters are not in nigeria or have not experienced the reality on ground in nigeria. how many average nigerians can afford a PC not to talk of internet. People should advice based on the reality on ground.

OP if you believe you girl understands your financial capability and is still willing, go ahead and marry

Moving the motion for Garuba and Aigbogun’s impeachment, the former minority leader of the House, Paul Ohonbamu (Egor), said the action was sequel to allegations of fraud and financial impropriety among others levelled against the two.

The speaker protempore, Aliu, after taking the oath of office, constituted a three-man panel to investigate the allegations levelled against the impeached speaker and his deputy.
The panel has Ohonbamu as chairman
, Johnson Oghuma (Etsako Central and Esan West), and Omokhodion as members. The panel has seven days to submit its reports.

Oboma1:
Commissioning the projects, weekend, the member representing Uvwie in the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata said, “I am delighted and opportune to be part of this historic programme because it is complementing the efforts of the council chairman”
“If every elected Officer
can be doing this in our community, we would have been vastly developed, what she has achieved as a councilor is so great and she needs support”, he said.
What has he contributed to his own constituency? How is she complementing the chairman's effort - afterall it is not his personal money. I hate people who ridicule themselves like this.

Oboma1: On his part, chairman of the council, Mr. Peter Abugewa stated, “I am overwhelmed, many public office holders only think what they can benefit from the system but Mrs. Ogaga has keyed into the three_ point agenda of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, I want others to emulate her works, she has performed credibly well”.
is he not thinking in the same way? If he had done his duty, she wouldn't have spent her money.

What you peeps don’t understand is that this will not change anything in Nigeria. When Yar dua was nominated as PDP presidential candidate and Goodluck VP I told those around me that OBJ wanted to still be in control, because of all the healthy people vying for the position he choose to appoint a sick man, who had not shown any interest against all the numerous healthy contestants and made sure Goodluck becomes his VP. He wanted Goodluck because of his loyalty to Alams, meaning he will be loyal to him (OBJ) no matter what. In conclusion the sharing and looting continues.

If Jonathan has a sense of the world around him, he must do a few things in other to be in control. He must make sure he is not a lame duck President even though he has to run the country for only 18 Months then so be it.

1. Replace AGF Aondoaka with Odein Ajumogbia SAN quickly (Aondoakaa has misdirected the Nation enough)

2. Replace NSA Sarki Mukhtar with Gen. Muhamed Abdulahi (Former Chief of Staff to Presidency) or Gen Andrew Owoye Azazi (former Defence Chief, thats if he is interested). Sarki Mukhtar has been busy with unholy activities lately.

3. Ojo Maduekwe to be replaced by Donald Duke

4. Bring El-Rufai into the cabinet if you can probably as Energy Minister to drive home the IPP project.

5. FCT Minister Adamu Aliero should also be shown the way and probably replaced with someone like Adamu Muazu

6. Abba Ruma can remain as Agricultural Minister but he must be badly relegated in the scheme of things.

Yayale Ahmed for VP
how do you expect somebody who is acting to sack people appointed by his boss who is still recognized.  It's not like the seat is vacant and he is just occupying it for the meantime pending when a new person will be appointed or he is confirmed as is applicable in the civil service.  What do you think will happen to the VP if eventually the AWOL presido returns.
