Firman markets the trifuel generator in the US and Canada. Expect to see this flood the market in the coming months.
okikigsm: More explanation o this pls. Compliant model?
From my little research, the kits are designed according to Honda engine specifications. 90% of generating sets in-country use the Honda design.
The available kits support carburettor with parts number 168F, 170F, 188F and 190F. The carburettor size number is situated on the side of the engine block of every generator.
Parsun 3200DX uses a 166/175F carburettor which is a Yamaha spec.
Shaytun: The retaining of the 43 banned items list by the CBN don’t look wise to me.
If we want a unified exchange rate, banning importers from accessing fx for certain items on the official market will lead to them sourcing the fx from the parallel market.
We should do away with banning it reeks of military mentality, let’s introduce import substitution.
Restricting official FX access for these items is a strategy of the import substitution policy.
Denzelwash: He is already talking like a government official, you can tell from the way he speaks, he clearly want a role in Tinubu's administration...His boldness is quite commendable too.
Please watch the video. He claims he has been providing "Wagner like" security services to the Federal Government.
“The blackmail of the Nigerian state by the military is shameful. They are lying to say that they don’t have equipment. I am a participant in this war; I side with the government of Nigeria. I fight on the side of the government of the Nigerian state in Plateau, Niger, Anambra, Imo, Abia and Rivers.
“Kaduna-Abuja is free now not because of the army; it is my men stationed in Niger State.
“We don’t even have 1 per cent armament deployed by the Nigerian Army, and we have resounding success. This blackmail must stop. They have enough armaments; instead of fighting, they are busy making money.
“Where is the Dogo today, he has been served the dish that he has been serving others.
“One individual is carrying two magazines of AK 47 ammunition and succeeding. The Army carry 20 to 30 in their vehicles. On slight attacks, they will abandon these ammunition to the bandits,” he said.
azpekuliar: So I can order from Aliexpress/Ebay right? The NISSAN guy is saying I should use a chassis number to order the right one and he will do the programming but I think he is just trying to dissuade me so I can buy their overpriced Key fob (N90,000) not including programming and cutting of key.
I was banned for posting a response yesterday.
Yes, you have the correct ID for the key fob which is readily available on AE - also includes key cutting services if needed.
cybertron88: If we check well, where u reside might not be more than 500m from a gas plant of petrol station. Leave all these long safety talk. My cylinder has been in my kitchen for more than 10yrs without any issue but fear no go let me keep even 10litres of fuel in my house for one day. Gas is far safer than petrol.
Say no more.
There was a time when kerosene sellers littered everywhere because it was considered "safe". Now we have more gas cylinders inside our homes than outside.
The smart ones have already seen a potential market for a new line of product and services.
Reports reaching Nairametrics indicate the Central bank has given commercial banks and dealers in the forex market the green light to sell forex freely which is at a market-determined rate.
This is in line with the promise of President Bola Tinubu to unify the multiple exchange rate in the market.
The initial understanding of this message is that banks can now sell forex at market-determined rates, suggesting Nigeria is now operating a freely floating exchange rate.
Nairametrics confirmed this from multiple sources at the central bank and from traders with knowledge of the matter.
CongoJewRat: If he did not attend the ceremony, his seat will be declared vacant and a bye election conducted.
The only way the seat can be declared vacant without his consent is by death.
If he was unable to attend the ceremony, he will need to be sworn in under the supervision of the Speaker at a later date and thereafter tender his resignation.
On June 2, President Bola Tinubu announced the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives, as his chief of staff.
Gbajabiamila is expected to commence his role as COS on June 14 after he would have resigned as a member of the house of representatives.
On February 26, he won his election for a sixth term to represent the Surulere 1 constituency at the green chamber in the 9th assembly.
Now that he has been appointed as the COS to the new president, questions have duly been asked about how Gbajabiamila is expected to transition from 9th national assembly speaker to COS.
Legally, the lifespan of the 9th assembly will expire on June 11 which is a Sunday, a non-working day, while the next day, June 12, is Democracy Day.
The 10th assembly will be inaugurated on June 13 after which Gbajabiamila, who would automatically not contest for the role of speaker anymore, due to zoning, is expected to resign as a lawmaker and start a new role as COS.
WHAT HAPPENS NOW THAT GBAJA IS COS?
The new presiding officer of the house (speaker) will declare Gbajabiamila’s seat vacant after the 10th assembly is inaugurated.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will then organise a by-election wherein the APC would have to nominate another candidate to contest with candidates from opposition parties for the seat.
Constitutionally, no law prevents Gbaja from operating as speaker and COS to the president until he vacates his seat, however.
The office of COS is not a member of any body set up by the constitution.
Speaking on his appointment, Gbajabiamila said he is due to take office on June 14 – days after the inauguration of the 10th assembly – when he should have resigned.
“I shall give my best when I take office on June 14, 2023 as reflected in Mr. President’s official letter,” he wrote.
Section 306 [7] of the constitution says “the notice of resignation of a member of a legislative house shall be addressed to the president of the senate or as the case may require, to the speaker of the legislative house in question”.
kaydee007: Bola Ahmed Tinubu has granted Nigeria’s first private crude oil export licence to Jack Rich, a presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the previous presidential election and a prominent party chieftain.
The process did not start this year. The petroleum industry has been thrown open to willing investors. Please move on to something productive.
The Federal Government has approved the establishment of Crude Oil Export Terminal in the Kula community of Rivers State by an indigenous oil company, Belemaoil Producing Limited.
The approval was contained in a letter signed by the Director of the Department of Petroleum Resources, (DPR), Mordecai Ladan.
According to the statement, the approval will enable Belemaoil established a Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel which will operate as a Crude Oil Terminal to be known as Belemaoil Terminal Kula.
In the meantime, the Board and Management of Belemaoil Producing Limited have expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the establishment of Crude Oil Export Terminal for Belemaoil in Kula, Rivers State, adding that the decision would create a window of opportunities to Rivers youths for gainful employments and the development of the Niger Delta region in general.
flokii: When I saw that clause.. refinery owners in Nigeria will have sole rights to import Petrol in the Petroleum Industry Act passed into law not too long ago, I knew they were planning to give monopoly in Oil and Gas industry to Dangote.
Dead wrong. Read up.
The Petroleum Industry Bill signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari has reversed an exclusive right for holders of local refining licence to import petroleum products.
Holders of crude oil refining licences in Nigeria include Dangote Oil Refinery Company, Waltersmith Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited, OPAC Refineries, Niger Delta Petroleum Resources, BUA Refinery & Petrochemicals and Edo Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited.
Stakeholders in the oil and gas sector had raised concerns over the line in the upper chamber’s version of the PIB.
In the senate joint committee report on the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB), the lawmakers had intended to limit the importation of petroleum products to local refining licence holders – a request did not go down well with stakeholders.
Checks by TheCable showed that the exclusive right has been removed in the harmonised version of the report signed into law by President Buhari on August 16.
This means that ‘qualified’ refiners or companies can now participate in the importation of petroleum products.
According to the Act, Section 317 ( noted that petrol importation licence will be granted to holders of refining licence or companies with “proven track records of international crude oil and petroleum products trading”.
