PoliticsRe: Sunday Igboho: I Can Fight Boko Haram Without Government Support by ajl: 3:45pm On Feb 07, 2021
Don't trust the Nigerian government or military. They will try to set him up and attempt to exterminate him. Do you think our evil minded military will allow just one individual to claim their victory and glory, knowing how most of our people reason.

The bolded part is where I have a great problem with our people

Let us pick up the arms and go physical with our enemy. Let us take the battle to them.

We keep on relenting on the spirit of the land. The same spirit of the land that could not defeat Sunday Igboho and Modakeke in the crises between Ife and Modakeke in 1997-1999. Yet we are relying on the spirit. This spirit Ooni is talking about has been kidnapped and we need fighting for ourselves if we want a lasting peace in our land.

Only a coward waits for his spirit to fight.
The yoruba spirits don't support unjust war. If Ife was in the wrong against Modakeke in the 1997-1999 war, do you expected that Ife would have been aided by the spirits of their land in that war. He/she who go to Esu, the yoruba deity for Justice, must come clean. If not, Esu, also a trickster will just be laughing at you as you get disgraced in your unjust conquest. Moreso, both Ife and Modakeke are yoruba communities. So, who would the yoruba deities accede to?
PoliticsRe: Sunday Igboho: Attack On Fulanis Must Stop – Police Threatens Arrest by ajl: 10:32am On Feb 06, 2021
What have Nigerian police and other security agencies done about the Fulani terrorist named Wakili that seized the land of a whole community in Ayete in Oyo State, and drove many of the natives away.

No justice, no peace. Simple.

Na today?

State or community policing will put a stop to all this nonsense

Let's test /try amotekun and other indigenous police for starters
Your question "native police officers that collude with Nigerian police?" suggest you have no clue about what you are talking about. Is a native police officer not a member of the Nigerian Police Force?

The police are just being typical Nigerians who enjoy oppression and over doing beyond where they send you
You could be right but you are not getting my viewpoint. It would be easier for a native police officer to easily identify the monarch than a typical police officer that is not conversant with the culture of the natives. That police officer is probably a high school certificate holder who can't read. I mean, we all know the quality of educational background of most Nigerian junior police officers.

Useless man

You called yourself a monarch and ordinary men asked you to prostrate and you obliged because they had guns. What the essence of bieng a monarch when bullets can kill you.

King of imbeciles and cowards
Almost all the monarchs have converted to christianity and Islam. The gods have departed away from them. Even the Ooni of Ife who is the symbolic chief priest of Yoruba spiritual tradition says Jesus is his lord. And I heard that his Olori (queen) who is a prophetess was praying in the palace chastising Esu, a foremost yoruba deity, which the Olori wrongly assumes is the same as Satan. Meanwhile Satan doesn't exist in yoruba spirituality. Meanwhile, Esu is the spiritual "policeman" and habinger of justice. Esu is more like the holy spirit in yoruba spirituality because all deities must go through him to obtain "Ase" from Olodumare (God). So, how in the world could someone so close to the king not understand this. The saddest part is that a good part of their religious beliefs are made up story. For example, the story of the immaculate conception is found in almost all ancient cultures, from ancient Egyptians, Azteca, Greeks, and others.

Reasons they send northern police officers to the south. And one reason we need state police officers who are conversant with the people and community culture and traditions.

So that they will have the reason to arrest Sunday ? We are seeing through the charade already.
How many DSS officers will they send down to arrest Sunday Igboho? I am still wondering which DSS men will get the liver to touch someone that is fully loaded with yoruba traditional armour. He would have been arrested if he is just any tom, dick and harry. Moreover, he has the full support of 99% of Yorubas. And to go arrest someone like Igboho in Ibadan in Oyo State will be like lightening a firestick. Most of the kings and commoners are behind him. Go online and see videos of different yoruba traditionalists offering prayers to Sunday Igboho before different Yoruba deities.. And Igboho didn't issue a quit notice to all Fulanis. He only directed his quit notice to killer herdsmen that are kidnapping and killing people. You think he is stupid? I am surprised people like Falana can even refer to his quit notice without understanding what he clearly said multiple times in Yoruba as "Fulani ajinipa" (meaning Fulani kidnapper and killers).

I can see that most Nigerians abroad are the ones that want to breakup Nigeria.

Oduduwa republic is a dead republic, they can't even provide jobs for themselves but see them sponsoring a thug and an illiterate to achieve a dead dream.

You all claim Buhari is an illiterate but you go around supporting a real illiterate and a thug to achieve a failed dream

Imagine comparing Niger Delta militants to these armed bandits. What cause are they fighting for? Even though we knew that most of the ND militants were fighting for their pockets, the fact that there is a cause they could hold on to, got them some sympathy. Negotiating with terrorists who should be put in jail.

A leader that can not fight for, be outspoken on behalf of, and vehemently defend his followers is not a true leader. And it isn't only the traditional leaders in the South, that includes most of our governors and political leaders. They are no more than opportunists ready to benefit by virtue of their office but not interested in getting down to fulfill their duties to the people.
They are all businessmen. I think Igboho statement hit Ooni where it hurts because that's what most of them do. They collect "Ghana Must Go" bag from politicians. Though I like him, I don't trust him a bit because he is a businessman turned royalty. Moreso he also made an error of judgment. Which FG will come help. Up till now nothing has been done about the crazy Wakili that forcefully took.over another person's land in Ibarapa area. Is that the govt we are going to wait for. Fulani herdmen will soon get to the palace of the Ooni or attack his entourage on the highway.

PoliticsRe: Herders Crisis: Ooni Replies Sunday Igboho by ajl: 2:08pm On Feb 04, 2021
The question is where was the Ooni when all the killings were going on in Yorubaland? What did he do about it? Nothing. They all kept quiet because most of those killed by the herdsmen were commoners. The Ooni also made an error in judgement as a spiritual leader of the Yoruba. What proof does he have that the Buhari government is going to do something about the killings as he claimed? A true leader would have first called Sunday Igboho and talked to him directly rather that trying to rubbish his effort on television.

These northern elites and hypocrisy. When does living anywhere in Nigeria include trespassing on private properties or taking your cows to destroy other people's farmlands; Or forcefully occupying public or private lands. They act as if they don't read the news. Go try walk into another man's property in some countries, and you won't know how you end up in the hospital if you are lucky to survive. It's like other people's losses or lives don't matter.

Evil knows no tribe. Inasmuch as we must blame the crazy kidnapping from the Fulani, we must also remember that the Niger Delta brought the evil business idea over 15 years ago.
The Niger Deltans also borrowed the hostage taking idea from Middle-east Islamic extremists. While those ones used it mainly for political purposes, the Niger-Deltans added ransom taking to it. But what I know about Niger-Deltans then in those days is they usually release the hostages alive. There was a case where they even organized a birthday party for a foreign victim in the forest. This has spread to other parts of the country to more vicious and violent kidnappers. Sorry to say this but it's a fact, if you engage in a physical altercation with a northern mallam in Lagos or elsewhere in the south, expect him to pull out a knife while you rely on your knuckles.

Even Tinubu and all other political leaders parading themselves should resign. Only Sunday Igboho stands out now.
Aare Ona Kakanfo is under the control of Alaafin of Oyo. So, people should direct their anger at Alaafin, who I learnt also has thousands of cattle under the care of Fulani herdsmen.

PoliticsRe: Fulani Leaders In Oyo Beg For Forgiveness, Pledge Peaceful Co-Existence by ajl: 3:20pm On Jan 25, 2021
Yesterday I listened to an historian, a professor, who gave an history of the family Sunday Igboho came from. According to history, one of his forefathers was the first settler in the town of Igboho. Four late Alaafin of Oyo are currently buried in the town. Then, the Alaafins were directly involved in waging wars and they moved around in those days. The Igboho family sheltered and offered protection to these Alaafins, and the members of the Igboho family were the first generation of "Eshos" (protector of the Alaafin and Oyo Empire). It is said in Yoruba that the Igboho's can never be found guilty or be of blame in any case they are involved in. The Yoruba saying "Aja ma j'ebi", meaning "One who fights with no blame". The historian said that nothing would have stopped Ighoho from standing up for the Ibarapa community against these killer herdsmen because he is bound to, going by the historical antecedents of the Igboho family in Oyo. Even at the risk of his life. But no one can find fault in them for doing so. Going by the story of the crimes by Fulani herdsmen in Ibarapa community, can anyone blame Sunday Igboho in this case, especially because the government has failed to protect the people from fulani criminal herdsmen.
