saintokwuluora:Nobody rigged for him. He won clearly. Get over it. In fact, it was Saharareporters that prevented the "overnight election magic" typical to Nigerian elections by publishing the results on same day. Didn't the town crier Orubebe tried scuttling the electoral process of announcing the results when he realized his man, Jonathan, was losing the election. Don't let us cry over what ought not to be a topic of discussion at this time. |
otipoju:Peace is temporarily not an option if someone is holding you by the jugular. You have to use whatever you have to fight back. |
olugabbie:Sad they stopped teaching history in Nigerian schools until recently. Go and check historical records. The great Oyo Empire took the Fulani to the cleaners. That's why it's symbolic that this is happening in Oyo State. Even the Fulani elites know what they are toying with. |
otipoju:Patience is part of the great philosophy of Yoruba spiritual tradition. But not at the risk of losing your lives. You really have to push a Yoruba man to the wall before he will turn on you. But once he decide to turn on you, forget story, he will win the fight because he has arsenal of tools to do so. Read part of a published article: "The Yoruba people of the Southwest Nigeria have long developed a systematic way of thinking and articulating mannerism. This is a useful evidence of the dynamism of Yoruba culture. Yoruba culture is evident in the beliefs, values, customs, practices, and social behaviours of the people. The philosophical tradition of the Yoruba had been so anchored on and entrenched in the concept of character development. The concept of character referred to by Yoruba as “IWA” is a set of qualities that make somebody distinctively interesting or attractive, especially somebody’s qualities of mind and feelings, somebody’s reputation. (Wiki,2013) IWA (Character) is one of or perhaps the most important human endeavour taught within Ifa literary corpus and every Ifa stanza (ancient poetic verse) has one portion dedicated to the issue of teaching the IWA (Character/ Behaviour) that Ifa supports. This IWA, which Ifa teaches transcend religious doctrine, it is central to every human being, and imparts communal, social & civic responsibility that the Creator (Olodumare) supports. Central to this is the theme of righteousness and practicing good moral behaviour, not seeking for it in the community but becoming the Ambassador of IWA (Character). Character reflects our values, ethics and morals thus, IWA reflects the cultural values, ethics and morals which defines Yoruba as a people. The wellbeing of a society is grossly dependent on the peace and unity maintained by every individual component of the community while engaging in social interaction. Every individual which constitute a social player must at every point in time display acceptable values, ethics and morals that the society dictates. This is reflected in their character." http://psychdiscourse.com/2013-08-20-02-30-17/version-48-2014/winter-2014-v48-3?view=article&id=566:issue-article-3&catid=237 |
Sirjamo:He never said all Fulani. He said the criminal fulanis. Go watch the videos. |
lafiagi007:But the Seriki has been the one collecting ransom on behalf of Fulani kidnappers. A PhD holder native farmer went to him to complain about his destroyed farm, and the next thing the Fulani terrorists tied him up and butchered him alive. So many natives have been killed or raped. What do you called that. The worst part is that the criminals include foreign Fulanis as well which the Seriki admitted to. |
thebosstrevor1:Your father! Even with this stupid and evil utterances by a cow herder. |
kalu61:He did not order northerners to leave. He directed that fulani kidnappers and killers who can't live in harmony with host community should leave the community. |
These politicians? They will sacrifice their entire ethnic people for the sake of their shallow ambition. |
quickly:I never thought about that. Thats a "biological" way of protecting ourselves against Fulani herders. |
Mivici:You think he is just an ordinary guy. You don't know anything. A Yoruba movie was made about his life. In the movie, a poor woman went to him to help reclaim her land from a military man who forced her off the land. Na so the guy drove the military off the land. His life has been about fighting for the poor against injustice. It is the people of Ibarapa that called on him to help defend them against the fulani kidnappers. Story is that he can conjure a gun out of thin air. |
fitzmayowa:That's the way they butchered a Yoruba PhD holder who returned from Germany and employed so many youths on his farm and fulani herdmen destroyed his farm. He simply went to the Seriki to discuss the problem. They tied him up and butchered him like a cow. |
Imagine being face of a country with a leader that ordered the butchering of a native journalist in their embassy in a foreign country. Is it not the same country where zealots go everywhere on pilgrimage. Evil people. |
Arewa1stSon:It won't be better for you and your generation. Who is talking about politics here. May your family be victims of fulani herdsnen. By then you will know what it's like. |
We Yorubas need to stand together against this injustice. Fulani criminals attack Yorubas and rape our women, and also take over our land, no arrest order was issued against these criminals. Now, a courageous Yoruba now stand up to order criminal fulani out of our land, now IGP is giving "arrest order". Ighobo did not say all northerners should leave Yorubaland, he directed his action against a Seriki that has been collecting ransom from kidnapped victims. We must be resolute. |
Yes, attack any Yoruba in the north that forcefully go into a northern farmer land or any Yoruba that kidnap northerner. Your Seriki has been involved in kidnapping and collecting ransom from families of yorubas who children or members were kidnapped. A cow seller with so many cars living in the forest who oversaw the butchering of a Yoruba Dr who went to see him to understand why his farm was destroyed by herders. So, many others were kidnapped or the women were raped. Show us any herder that were arrested. Now you can call on security agents. Where were they when the yoruba farmers were kidnapped or attacked. Are your herders not using soldiers to forcefully take over farmers land in Ogun State? Yes, Nigerian military are assisting Fulani herders to molest and take over farm lands in southwest. https://punchng.com/army-conniving-with-herdsmen-on-attacks-ogun-monarchs/ |
Where is the peace in the land? You think you can fool the pigeons. They probably smelt blood in the air, rising all around from north to south,, east and west, and they rather remain in the cage. |
Odidigboigbo:Didn't I state it up there. Check this link below. Those are the people funding him. You think white man will give you something for free. You people are still under a lot of illusion. https://qz.com/africa/1837527/54gene-raises-15m-from-bill-melinda-gates-backed-fund/ |
Odidigboigbo:He does not own in the real sense. He is just fronting for the white people (Bill Gate and others) who want the DNA data of Africans. Go do online research on this. |
You are all being fooled. This company is funded by Bill Gate and their plan is to collect all DNA data of Africans starting with Nigeria, the most corrupt and easiest target because of greed. I am sure, not all countries in Africa will allow a western financed company to be collecting DNA data of its population. Imagine a Chinese funded company to be collecting DNA data of Americans or Europeans. This company 54Gene is fronting for its American owners, so don't be fooled by the Nigerians in lab coats. The real headquarters is in USA (Washington or do). The founder is US trained and worked in the pharmaceutical industry. So, they pushed him down here to come and do the dirty work for them. Which is to obtain all genetic data of Africans. Do you know what that means. The blueprint of your DNA is your life secrets. You wonder why Covid-19 hasn't kill off a lot of Africans. Its because of our genetic diversity. Once these evil westerners have this DNA data, they can decide if they wish to design killer virus to wipe us out if they want. He who pays the piper dictate the tune, this company is only collecting the data for its US financiers. Meaning you are handing your life secrets to people who can do whatever they like with it. Now, am not saying good can't come out of this. But why would a white man be pumping millions of dollars to fund a Nigerian company. I feel sorry for our people because those who are supposed to protect you are the one paying a visit to this company. Who should own the DNA data of Nigerians collected by this company? The DNA data of a country population is a national security issue. If they want to kill us all off with a bioweapon, it has just become easier. Check these links and most especially the second one. https://qz.com/africa/1837527/54gene-raises-15m-from-bill-melinda-gates-backed-fund/ https://www.theguardian.com/science/2004/oct/28/thisweekssciencequestions.weaponstechnology Remember that Bill Gate is interested in population control and Africans are number one on their list. Our peoples greed is not allowing them see what's on the horizon. |
Coney Island? Europeanization by force. Reflects low self esteem. |
I collect crime data for Lagos. My advice is that you change all your door locks. He already know your ins & outs. If he's really bad,, he potentially could send his criminal pals to come rob you, and anything can happen. Moreso, he will still be bitter that you fired him. My opinion is based on precedents. |
dorothy111:Very stupid statement. So, her job is there solely to pay electricity bill she didn't even use. You Nigerians need to have your brains checked, especially with the many Likes your comment got. How do you build a sane society with this kind of mindset. |
Where and how will she re-charge the vehicle battery and who will fix or service the vehicle when it develop fault? Seem like a money miss road person. |
dazzlingd:Those words you put up their will come back to haunt you, so that you will know what's like to lose a child to kidnappers. |
Imustreturn:Go to America, home of Uber, or Europe, home of Bolt, and register a cab hailing app company and see whether they will allow you. Support your own. Uber/Bolt operation in Nigeria represent a foreign exchange flight from Nigeria. So, you need foreign companies to operate kabu-kabu in Nigeria. Go and see what French taxi drivers and those in few other countries does to Uber or Uber drivers. |
NextD18:Not Babalawo. Babalawo are under oath never to do evil. If one does, it will haunt him till death. Evil people usually patronize traditionalists called Onisegun (medicine man). There is a difference between Babalawo and Onisegun. Babalawo only does divination and required sacrifice. What Babalawo does is usually positive. It is Onisegun that are involved in many of the evil things like ritual, etc |
raddyworld:Please check into the closest psychiatry hospital. You need help. |
Megatrix:You have comprehension problem. Is "made up" have the same meaning as "invent"? According to the story, she made up an Igbo name "Chimamanda" that incorporate her christined first name "Amanda". It seem many Igbo parents prefer giving their children foreign names. One of my spouse's igbo cousin named their son Clinton. They visit North America on holiday pretty often and usually feel so strange to me calling the boy Clinton because each time I do, I see the face of "Bill Clinton" in my "head". The boy has end up in a North American College and though that name will allow him integrate as employers wouldn’t guess he is black or Nigerian, but this says a lot. I also run into a young yoruba kid that says his name is "Cam" which I guess is Kamoru because his mother's name is one "conc" name among the Yorubas like Salamat or something, which are not really yoruba names but Islamic names. We get problem in Africa, more so Nigeria. A huge inferiority complex issue. |
bukatyne:Do you know anything about work place ethics? Especially that between a very senior male management and a junior female staff that is married. It's obvious most Nigerian women will fall for it because they believe they need to cave in order to survive. But a women raised in a family with strong parental background wouldn't budge. I know what I am saying. Thank God for the family I am from. Many of our married Nija women would even wish to date a company CEO. |
zoedew:Are you an Old Boy of MBHS? Non Sibi .... Not for Us but .... (complete) |
humilitypays:Excluding leaders like Obafemi Awolowo, Lateef Jakande, Sam Mbakwe, and other former leaders like them. We all know those leaders that deserve to be cursed into their graves. |
