But to her No. She says I am the man and must be willing to bear all the financial burden. That her money is hers. That if she decides to help no wahala. And if she refuses I should not feel bad. We both work. But she is of the opinion that her money belongs to her and she might decide to help out or not.
I am of the opinion that as a couple we have to work things out together. I dont expect her to pay any bill for me but to help out as a help mate. She flatly refused that her money is her money and she might decide to help or not. And that I should not have it in mind that she might help me. That the role of the man as the head of the house is to take care of everything.
I dont know if my perception is wrong here. I need experienced married folks to advice me.

It's gonna be hard for that marriage to work, am sorry to say. My reason are, her parents or family will talk alot to her about her decision and want you to convert, but the look of things you won't. And you also, your family will advise you to convert her to first and this only is another problem.

Besides they can't Wed you in church as a Muslim to say vow so don't think about that unless you are a Christian.

Lastly if you both want perent prayer then, talk about it, with in both family as a dialogue.

As for part of parents consent, I don't know but for d church wedding part, I witnessed a blessed marriage of a Christian woman with her Muslim man in my church (Catholic) cheerfully grace by their relatives and parents.

I have come to realize that northeners (especially northern Moslims) puts religion ahead of reality. Even if they are dying, they wouldn't kick against their own. I could remember how thousands of Bayelsans came out en mass to protest against fuel hike during GEJ time.

If Buhari was a southerner, he wouldn't have entered the second time. because he was a monumental failure the first time. But once some politicians dangle religious card in the face of northerners, forget. They all follow sheepishly.

Why do I have this mentality?
I believe that virgins, the ones who want to keep their virginities should be encouraged to do so.
They should be shown what love is like without sex.
They should be shown that there are other forms of intimacy aside sex; Conversations, trips, gifts, quality time and non-sexual physical touch.

It helps to show them that there are guys who are gentlemen, who will love them for who they are and not what they hope to get from therm.

I always date girls with the mentality that we might not date for ever.

Yeah, my virgin ex girlfriend whom I eventually got engaged but later dump me for obvious reasons known to her.
I dated her for a year and half, slept on the same bed severally without touching each cause I was saving her for our wedding night.
On her broke up message she acknowledge I'm a complete gentleman but her major reason for breaking up isn't about love but lack of understanding which am yet to rap my head with. I just have to let her go and move on without looking back. It's painful if one follow this path.
