@ dayokanu, You've come again with this Fergie Hitzfield thing. You used to say that simply because Hitzfield won more UCL than Fergie, that makes him better and that the UEFA cups and the winners cups of this world and every other thing else do not matter. Now Fergie has won 2 UCL and you've turned it to the time frame. That won't cut it with me buddy. |
Ibime:Beautiful! |
@ loyika, I'm not too sure King Kev will luv it this time around. ![]() First match of the season at OT? |
Bsc is superior to HND. That is a fact that cannot be disputed. HND was created to cater for mid level manpower. It's been like that for ages. It's now more obvious because of the scarcity of good jobs. Even if you are a civil servant, there is a level you cannot go past as a HND holder. I'm a HND holder and I did not bother to look for a job because of this. But I'm not bothered because I knew whats up before I went to the polytechnic. |
ritchboy:You forgot OBAMA. ![]() |
Jackal:Thanks for that mate. I was wondering how a SKY SPORTS lifer like Richard Keyscould anchor a non SKY SPORTS channel. I'll take a closer look on the channel from now on. |
Sorry to go a bit off topic but I've got a question for you guys living in the UK. Which station is showing the Euros? I'm asking because there is one dodgy station on HITV where I saw Richard Keys anchoring the studios and the guests were Peter Reid and Trveor Francis. That's a SKY SPORTS crew. Jackal and other. What do you think? |
I don't like BA. Space too small for the economy class. I no longer use their economy class. I like Virgin Nigeria very much. Top draw. I'm begining to like Bellview as well. Never have I experienced any delay or glitch. And dem price no bad. ![]() |
@ loyika, You brought up a link that blows your argument out of water. The story clearly shows it was not stated in his contract. There was a verbal agreement and a letter to Heinze (I did not mention that earlier). BUT NOT IN HIS CONTRACT. So who cannot read now? PS: Chelsea a richer club than Man Utd? Na wah o. ![]() |
It was a "verbal agreement" with Heinze. IT WAS NOT WRITTEN IN HIS CONTRACT!!!!!!!! Heinze desperately wanted to go to Liverpool, but Fergie insisted he would never do business with Liverpool and Man City. As long as Ronaldo is under contract and Fergie insists he is going nowhere, Ronaldo does not have a choice. The reason why clucbs usually allow players to move in such situations is "why keep an unhappy player?" But no matter how unhappy the player is, if the team says he's going nowhere, then so shall it be. PS: And why is everyone now getting excited about Ronaldo's supposed exit? I thought this was a player that only dives and does not deliver against big teams. |
Do you want to buy? |
Just heard that the strongman of Ibadan politics, Lamidi Adedibu is dead. Has anyone else heard it? |
@ shylle, Thanks for your offer but I'm afraid I have to turn you down. . . at least for now. We can still work on other things related. You can reach me through akin @ akinalabi.com |
hustler:Now he is talking. He shouldn't say that iaround of Rio and co or he'll get smacked. 180 minutes of football against them, no sniff at goal. Must really be shitty. |
My blunder was ruling Chelsea out of the title race so early in the season. I became more convinced after their insipid performances against Aston Villa and against Man Utd at Old Trafford. I voiced in on my blog and in the papers I write for. Jackal (aka Xerxes ) warned me it wasn't over but I dismissed hisanalysis. I was proved wrong as Grant's men took the title to the wire. |
Emperoh:I'm sure it'll be a carnival like reception for him. It will get crazier when the team "gan gan" arrives July ending. Nothing can stop me from going to Abuja to see them. First time I'll see my darling team outside England. Can't wait! |
This is simply insane. There is no other way to describe it. No one does this in England where the life long fans are. Wetin come be our own? ![]() |
I'll surely be there. First time I'll see United outside England. Can't miss it for anything in the world. |
This thread should be merged with the Chelsea thread below. . . https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-16635.0.html ![]() |
~Xerxes~:LOL! ![]() That really cracked me up. I can imagine Fergie doing nothing at home. No Rob Styles and Steve Bennet to shout at. He's got a strong horse anyway that will take a bit of his time. ![]() |
At the risk of sounding like the devil himself, I must confess I don't have any sympathy for you. Don't you know the way to the UK embassy or the visa application centres? ![]() You raised N300k here in Naija. . . and you want to raise another one. You'll soon get to a million. Ask the nairalanders in the UK how many othe them have got £4,000 in their accounts. |
Akolawole:I'm sure Benitez would have loved him to come back because he knows that anytime he faces Chelsea in the UCL, then they already know the've won. ![]() Now that Jose is no more there, Chelsea can beat Liverpool in the UCL. ![]() |
@ rikkyjen, He probably would not have rot away but the referee's mistake surely launched Jose's career. If Scholes perfectly good goal was allowed, Porto would have been dead and buried and they would be out. He wouldn't have won the UCL and Chesea wouldn't have signed him. |
@ dayokanu, Yeah, he was dropped at the last minute. He truly peaked during Shooting's CAF cup run in 1992. He then moved to Concord of Abeokuta. This thread has turned to a memory thread. I thought itwas about Kayode Odejayi. ![]() |
WebMonk is right. You can easily tell from their posts. I have great respect for the guys around here and I marvel at their knowledge. tundewoods, my2cents (can't find him these days), uspry1, Afam are all great minds you can talk to. I've learnt a lot from them all. |
He probably though he was a winger because he wore No 7. ![]() |
The tournament shouldnt have been awarded to them in the first place. It was Blatter/Havelange's rotations policy that got football into this mess. It also got them into mess for the 2014 edition where Brazil was unopposed. Thank goodness the policy has been scapped. It took the grace of New Zealander delegate (can't remember his name now) to save us from Batterism in 2006 and the tournament went deservedly to Germany. I think the tournament should be taken away to a country with ready facilities. |
I don't think I'll be putting my money on any of the teams sha. ![]() None of them is outstanding in my reckoning. Shows how poor England were during the qualifiers not to qualify for this. |
I'll be backing Portugal all the way. . . Guess why? ![]() Because the best player on the the planet plays for them. |
That's the place I'll like to visit next. Heard so many great things about the place. |
I use SMF and it's so easy to use. I've never tried any other but SMF suits me fine. |
Akolawole:Jose couldn't take Chelsea to the finals. . . Period! His team lost to Liverpool twice in three years and the excuse is that the second legs were played at Anfield! |
