debosky:Good talk. |
Akolawole:Carrick one million times over! It's even insulting comparing them. It's like comparing sleep with death. |
Have you guys heard Rio will captain England against France? |
Fabio Capello shows us once again that no one's shirt or position is guarantees. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=519624&cc=5739 That is the type of "jolt" English players need so they can come out of their comfort zones. EDIT: Oops! I posted it twice. ![]() |
somze:Yes, Chelase is a threat at the moment considering the fact that we still have to go to the bridge. That is why I said Grant has tried. somze:The god is really making you uncomfortable. He is such a force that even though he is not liked at Soho square or by any journalist (apart from Geoff Shreeves), he cough and sneezes blow everyone away. He is god! |
ituen:Forms for what? To join Chelsea? No thanks, I don't support small clubs. ![]() |
Akolawole:Yes. I started coming here recently. I dumped the Arsenal thread as soon as I saw that Chelsea were our biggest threat. I did not reckon with Chelsea at the begining of the season. But now, I even have nighmares about them. I was praying Arsenal would beat them. |
I know criticising Jose is a NO GO AREA at the bridge. But not for us outside the bridge. Even when he makes errors and talks gibberish, it is regarded as gold. What you'all don't realize is that Roman has done Jose a big favour. Sending him away when the ovation was quite high. How I wish he had left him so he could taste what "trophyless seasons" mean. You all have been unfair to Grant. It gets worse when you insist that he's not been treated worse. The chants of "You don't know what you're doing" when he was making those substutions was an absolute disgrace. Grant has done a good job since he took over. Wake up guys. . . You really need to. |
somze:Na wah o! Since I've been watching football, I've never heard a thing like this. Genuine goal. . . ![]() |
@ 4 Play, Please take a look at the last part my post again. Now, all managers make blunders. There is no question about that. The point |
@ somze, Please read and understand my analysis before you reply. There is no prize for who replies first. Sir Alex has been in countless similar situations where he turned it around so we can fall back on that experience. That is why the rules are different for him. He is god. I went back 3 seasons to show you it's been happening a long time ago and not just when the problems started this season. |
@ somze, What do you mean no one said it? Do you monitor what millions of Chelsea fans say worldwide? Come on. Yes! Chelsea were a sinking ship! Were they on the upward or on the downward slide when Jose left? If you say they were on the upward then there is no point of talking about it any longer. How can you compare trophy cabinets between a three year and an eight month spell? I'm begining to sense what Jackal calls "plastic fans" here. @ Akolawole, You said only a fool would have thought Jose wouldnt have turned it around. If that is a fact, then I agree that I'm a big fool because I never for one thought he would turn it around. We cannot assume that he surely would have. If Grant started the season and recorded the same statistics, you would have sid only a fool can think that Chelse would be in that position if Jose was in charge. See? Yes! Our season was a rot at the start as well. We must always call a spade a spade. We don't mince words at OT. We blast Fergie at OT very much when he gets his tactics wrong. I've never heard a Chelsea fan blast Jose. The number of times Jose has blundered with tactics? Because of time, lets talk about a couple. Necastle Vs Chelsea (FA Cup) Jose puts out a ludicrous 4-1-2-1-2 formation against a 4 man pacy and physical midfield of Dyer, Jenas, Butt and Robert. At half time, he tries his magic wand by making three substitutions running the risk of ending the match so early with less than 11 men in case of injuries which was what happened. Basic managerial blunder. Barcelona Vs Chelsea (ECL) Chelsea needed a tactical switch to get back into the game and Jose perfoms some magic. Throws John Terry to lead the line. Now, all managers make blunders. There is no question about that. The point is the gloss over it when it comes to Jose and a thorough expository when it comes to grant is grotesquely unfair. |
Jose is a charmer. He has charmed and blind folded most Chelsea fans. Someone said Grant should win something before he can forgive him. Forgive him for what! He deserves praise for steadying a sinking ship Jose left behind. I ruled Chelsea out of the race after Chelsea's loss at Villa park now I fear them like hell. If Jose was in charge yesterday, you all would have sang to high heavens what a magician he was. Yesterday, Chelsea fans were singing "You don't know what you're doing" when he was making those changes. That's obscene in my reckoning. Your manager doesn't desrve that. Granted Ramos outwitted him at Wembley but how many times have we seen Jose outwitted? Countless times. But his charm masks everything. My point: Jose was a fantastic manager for Chelsea. The trophy cabinet speaks for him but we must recognize that Grant has done very very well as well. Like Chacal said, stop the mood swing and stop acting like a jilted boyfriend. |
Pasuma Wonder hands down. |
@ somze, If my statement came across to you as an insult, then I take full responsibility. I APOLOGIZE. Adddressing you as a lad is not derogatory in my reckoning. It's like saying "that chap". Dictionary.net defines lad as A companion; a comrade; a mate/friend. |
Chacal:I mentioned weeks ago that Chelsea is our main threat to the title and not Arsenal. They atill are. I really wanted Arsenal to win so they could kill off Chelsea's challenge because Arsenal's season had been over a long time ago. I talked about Wenger not reinforcing and Arsenal fans won't agree. A team comes fourth in the premiership, loses Henry and all they came up with were light weight replacements. United won the title and went for Hargo, Tevez, Anderson and Nani. What do we expect other than this? It's not worth it talking about Arsenal. Let's go worry about Chelsea. |
@ Chacal, I'm sure the lad was on about the move that led to the corner kick. I was already getting irritated but I just couldn't watch him mess the thread up with nonsense. |
bumpy john:They will tell you that because they don't know what is on the other side. @ poster, Tell your friend to take that job today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
somze:No chance. Arbeloa kept Ronaldo onside the moment Tevez chested the ball. |
somze:Absolutely. I'm not a football newbie. I insist 2 players were offside leading to Chelsea's equalizer. presido1:I wonder o. The ref on that day, Rob Stiyles had just finished work on Abramovich's driveway before that game. somze:Like Pompey Vs Man Utd at Old Trafford? Come on son. . . You aint got no point. |
somze:With 2 players offside during the build up to Chelsea's equalizer, I don't think you should be talking. Javier deserved to be sent off. He showed dissent not once, but twice. He was not involved in the Torres booking. He ran 25 yards to contest the decision. Steve Bennet waved him off and he stayed put. I've seen that result in a booking more than a thousand times. Thank goodness United had scored before the incident. You would have said the match would have ended goaless. |
somze:There they go again. . . |
No more doubts as to where the title is heading. |
@ outlaws, I have been using clickbank since 2005 and I can vouch for its useability. For your digital products, go for clickbank! For your physical products, go for 1shoppingcart.com |
I thought I was the one thinking along that line. We had a grand slam Sunday last season as well if I remember well. The odds of this happening naturally 2 years in a row must be 1,000/1 (I don become bookmaker ) |
Talking about this grand slam Sunday thingy. . . How come we keep having them if the fixtures are not arranged. Am I missing something here? ![]() |
don jasi:Very Very Daft! If there is no penalty offence, I guess the referee should just pick the ball and put it on the spot. |
@ outlaws, You are in the US right? Then go for clickbank. They are the best in thw world when it comes to selling ebooks. Another advantage of clickbank is that people can pay you with their paypal account without you needing to have one. Their affiliate network is top notch as well. If you know how to go about it, leveraging the netowork can make you cold, hard cash. Using paypal is alright only that they don't protect ebooks sellers when there are chargebacks. You can take a look at 2checkout as well and even 1shopping cart and many others. My advice? Use clickbank. |
Ibime:Very biased and unfair analysis. If you take away the stongest point of a player from him, how do you expect him to remain the same. It's like saying these. . . Take Nistelrooy's positioning away from him Take Makelele's man marking from him Take Beckam's crosses away from him Take David Jame's shot stopping abilities away from him Take Fab4's passing range away from him Come on son. His pace is his asset and he uses it to his advantage. The boy is a talent. |
Tell him to take the job, TODAY!!! |
Chacal:Absolutely! And he was experienced enough not to allow the the "noise" from the press about the imagined row between him and Rooney during the world cup degenerate to making him leave Old Trafford. And of course he knew what he was doing when he handed him the sacred No7 jersey. Again, he knew what he was doing when he made him the stand in skipper last night. Fergie always knows what he is doing. He is a god! |
