homerac7:we don't need any coordination. A true Muslim does not need to be told what time to pray, what time to start fasting etc We already have spiritual leaders like Imans, Alfa, Baba Adini, etc all this people don't mix politics with Islam. Sultan (Bello) was a spiritual leader and as such was respected because he did not get himself involved too much with politics. Bello sorted out for peace between Muslims and Christians in the North, United the north as an entity and did his best to give free good education in the north that is why like of Sanusi, Atiku and co can talk today. He preached for peace among religion and ethnic groups. But look at it now, the current Sultan is far more involved with politics rather than peace and development of the north. Why is he not telling like of Atiku and co that have stolen to reinvest in out education ? Rather the Sultan is involve in who the president is and what he does. As a true Islamic religious Leader, he is meant to promote peace among Muslims and Also among other religion. Thus he is a portray of a True Nigerian Muslim. The other day I was thinking of the way Nigeria is and all I can do is SMH. Sultan has not explained how GEJ won 40 % of Sokoto if not he had deals with PDP |
muyoto:that is them, Not me I don't view him as my overall spiritual leader. Not now, not ever He is a political leader which makes more sense, I don't like the idea of mixing politics with religion. It is the most divisive force on earth |
2 days ago, boko haram killed people in Niger, Abuja, Jos, yobe and borno, our security did not go to those places to find out who boko haram is, they are going to abia etc What logic is there is that ? more people are being killed in the north with no security and yet you are putting soldiers somewhere else ? |
By ANAYO OKOLI UMUAHIA— AS part of strategy to strengthen security and put troops on alert, soldiers from the 82 Division of Nigerian Army, Enugu, who are currently maintaining security in Abia, Imo and other parts of the South East zone and South South, Sunday, embarked on show of force. The show of force, which took place in major cities as Aba, Umuahia, Owerri, Enugu and Port Harcourt, amongst others, was carried by the commanders of the troops. According to the Assistant Army Public Relations of 82 Division, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, who confirmed the exercise, the essence was to ensure security in the areas. Musa said the exercise was also aimed at ensuring that troops remained on alert to detect crimes and criminality in those areas. The troops under the commandership of Major General Sylvester Audu has brought sanity in the areas since they started operation over one year ago. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/12/insecurity-soldiers-put-on-alert-in-abia-imo-enugu-port-harcourt/ |
homerac7:Amin my brother. I have just been resting ![]() I would like to state some facts All you mentioned might be coming from him as the leader that does not make him the leader of all muslims. Calling him the leader of all muslims in Nigeria has some profound implications. 1. It means he is the muslim leader of all muslims from yoruba to igala to ijaw, edo, kanuri, jukun, beroms etc That is NOT the case 2. His great grand father introduced Islam to some but not all cultures in Nigeria. From time memorial, Kanuris have always been muslims even before Usman came south. 3. His power is limited to those places emirs are and not place were there are Shehu (Kanuri), Baba Adini (yoruba), Iman, Alfa etc this people are Spiritual leaders of the Islam faith and not mixing politics with Islam/religion. They do not mix. For the sake of unity and peace we need to accept that Sultan is NOT the Leader of all Muslims in Nigeria Usman dan Folio did not introduce Islam to all Nigerian Muslims. Some have been Muslims way before Usman came to the geographical expression call Nigeria. |
^^^^^^^^^^^ Likes of Sheik is an actual Islamic leader NOT the Sultan |
SULTAN IS THE NOT THE MOST PROMINENT MUSLIM LEADER !!!!! people please get that into your heads. He is a Sultan of his Emirs and not Sultan of Muslims in Nigeria or any where. He is a traditional-political leader not religious leader. He can exercise his power with his emirs not all the Muslims in Nigeria. Now that is established How do people expect Sultan to talk about boko haram ? Who wants to die ? people please lets be reasonable here, we have a president and a commander in chief. Why can't he use the power and command the military to fish out this boko haram people ? |
@Eko ile why are you attacking APGA ? Let me remind you that APGA is a political party just like ACN and PDP and thus they have every right to talk on the affires of any state they have members in. APGA is not a tribal party Eko ile, you are doing ACN and Fashola a great diservice by mixing tribalsim with it. |
ak47mann:so now it is paining you ![]() When you make fun of people, do you expect them to keep shut ? Certainly not. Personally, I think it is the highest stu.pidity by the FG (education) to build 6 more federal universities The current FG universities are not upto scratch because of low funds and the FG to make things better are thinking of building more universities thus more funds wasting ![]() Does that make sense to u and any bigot here at all ? Anyway contiune with the yoruba bashing, I would leave this thread for una as I stated from the beginning All I a just trying to do is to make my Yoruba brother and sisters know what is going on and be relax, that is all ![]() Al47mann/dem_people. Contiune ![]() |
sheyguy:DUUDDDEEE I really pity you for replying this people. 1. The only people marginzed are the masses 2. Today federal dispensation, yorubas does not have the least appointment. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/11/how-nigeria-is-shared-under-jonathan/ 3. Jonathan has NOT marginazed anyon, most especally the yorubas 4. Any clever or smart region would go for development and provision of employment to their region rather than some very very few people appointment. Look at it today, Jonathan is building 5 new universities, NONE IN THE SE building 3 refinarires and 1 big one in the SW region which even the SWerners are trying to reject, None in the SE today Ohaneze is complaining of marginazation So duuudeeee I would advice you to praise GEJ for that given the fact that OBJ just left few years ago. CHino11 and co should be left to do their tribalsim and see who laugh last as usual. Ok!!! |
afam4eva:if you decide to go through that path then I suggest you read Dayokanu's comment |

Gayigaskia:My friend, I have to be honest, I believe Sanusi has been forced or manipulated to follow the way of Madueke (20 million euro house) and Iweala. I was really disappointed when I was learning to Sanusi's comment about subsidy. otokx:I saw that part and shock my head. If someone does not buy fuel to his car but gets it for free, How would he know the effect of the removal on US THE MASSES. |

Abagworo:The Andoni people of Rivers State, of Nigeria, are considered to be an Ijaw tribe by some, a distinct ethnolinguistic group by others, and a people closely related to the Yoruba, Annang, Igbo, Ibibio and Efik people of Akwa Ibom State and Cross River State in Nigeria. Like these people, the Andoni people refer to God as Awaji or Owaji. Historically, the Andoni (Idoni or Indo) Is the first son among the many sons of Ijo (Ujo) heir to the throne of Oduduwa (Adumu) of Ile-Ife before the colonial era and had commercial contacts with European traders and with neighboring Ijaw clans, such as the Bonny, Okrika, Kalabari, and Nkoro. The Andoni frequently fought wars with the Kingdom of Bonny. The Andoni people speak Obolo as the only native language. Obolo language is a combination of words from Igbo, Efik, Ibibio, Annang, Okrika, Ijaw, and Nembe. There is a historical link between the Okrika and the Andoni people. The Andoni people are the fiercest warriors in the Niger Delta, they have fought many wars with the Ogonis yet they are the best of friends. The Andoni (Obolo) clan of Ijaw is very wide with Ohafia and Aro (Arochukwu) people in Igbo land, Eastern Obolo, Ibeno-Eket and Oron in Akwa Ibom states and Andoni, Kala-Ido and Ogoloma in Rivers State. The Andoni people are very cultural, among the key towns are Ngo (Gogo), Ebukuma, Ikuru (Ikwut), Ataba, Ekede, Agwut-Obolo, Okoromboko, Okoroete, Iko, (Eastern Obolo axis), Asarama, Unyeada, and Ilotombi. The Nwantam masquerade of Andoni celebrated every first January is one of the highlights of Obolo festivities, which they share with the Opobo, Nkoro, Bonny and Ndoki Ijaws. Their ancient practices includews a writing system known as nsibidi, ofiokpo cult and the war dance which both the Ohafia and Arochukwu clans still retain despite loss of original language. Some parts of the Andoni tribe can be reach by roads and all can be reached by sea. It is rich in Wildlife (Elephants, Monkeys, Species of Pythons, Tortoise etc. and Minreal resources. It is a growing tourist location in Rivers State http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obolo_people http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=11359878978&topic=6926 http://www.ijawfoundation.org/resolution_001_08.htm |

Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited, a foremost indigenous oil and gas company said it would build a $250 million Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility at the Lekki Free Zone. This is contained in a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Nigerian oil and gas firm, the Lekki Free Trade Zone Company (LFTZC) Limited and the China Petroleum Technology and Development Corporation (CPTDC). Speaking at the signing ceremony of the MoU in Lagos, Managing Director, Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited, Mr. Peter Mbah said the undertaking of the $250 million SPM demonstrates the technical knowledge and financial strengths of the indigenous company. According to him, the partnership with the CPTDC and LFTZC Limited would lead to the development of the Nigerian downstream sector as the free zone provided a more convenient alternative to loading of oil products. He said the SPM facility at Lekki Free Zone would enable petroleum cargo vessels to anchor and discharge products via the network of undersea and onshore pipelines to respective tank farms. Under the MoU, Pinnacle is expected to complete the $250 million SPM facility with over 11 kilometres of subsea and on shore pipeline network by December 2013 when many of the tank farms proposed for the Zone would have also been completed. http://dailytrust.com.ng/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=150592:pinnacle-oil-to-build-n39bn-mooring-facility&catid=3:business&Itemid=3 |

Kano State government is mapping out strategies to sanitize the Sabon-Gari drug market in an effort to curtail the sale of fake and sub-standard drugs. The market has been posing as haven for fake and sub-standard drugs. This was made known yesterday in Kano by the state governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso at the national annual symposium and award ceremony of the Nigerian Association of Industrial Pharmacists (NAIP), Kano State Chapter.
