I think it's high time we Nigerians demand the NJC to give us the criteria and tests they put people to before making them SAN, cos many of them are not sane as the case of this one called keyamo

Imagine what he's saying, do you campaign in absentia?

Everything that has to do with the public, he will intentionally take himself out and here is a big baby called keyamo defending nonsense

Nigeria's matter is beyond redemption at the moment

We have an unserious government that only wants to milk the nation dry, they leave all revenue-generating ventures to start frustrating the poor citizens just so they can turn them into slaves

The only problem we have in this country is that of leadership, nothing anyone can say to change that

Politics › Re: Photo Of How Lagos State May Look Like, If/after Igbos Leave by ambale(m): 1:11pm On Sep 22, 2022
candidtalk:
Lagos is overcrowded. What you describe , i.e festive periods of decongestion, would be optimally good if it can be permanent. Lagos has a population estimated to be 23 million today in the smallest State in Nigeria.

Population of Greater Accra is 5.4 million and Nigerians love it there because it is feels better organised, more spacious, more sane, cleaner overall, far less traffic and far less congested overall.

Population of Johannesburg is 6 million.
Population of Nairobi is 5.1 million.
Population of London is 9.4 million.
These are all regarded as exemplary cities to different extents.

To be sane and as great as she can be, the optimal population of Lagos should be 9 to 10 million.

We are sentimental and prejudiced in Nigeria and rarely apply pragmatic logic or science to our thinking and is why that you can speak as if the overpopulation of Lagos by Igbos, from a region relatively far away from Lagos, is a good thing.

It is counter-productive migration in the long term and leaders of Lagos now accept this statistically-backed and researched reality.

If Igbos leave, Lagos would be better in the long run. That is a town-planning, aesthetic, infrastructural and socio-economic fact.
If your point is actualize, lagos will definitely lose her place no doubt about that

We are better together than divided

I'm not here to argue with you atall

he uses the state ministry of works and infrastructure for all projects.

other states award contracts to foreign contractors with high wage, hence not much fund is left for other projects.

use of foreign contractors is the difference here. in ebonyi you’ll even see local women with tray pans doing the construction, yet it turns out standard due to good supervision.

thanks to engineer dave!

cheap labor!
I love leaders who are different, this is the way to go, use local contractors, in fact Engineering students will do a far more better job than all these foreign companies

That way you are able to cover much more ground than wasting money on satisfying all these oyinbo contractors

Corruption is a minor problem. The budget for the states are too small it cant do much. Most states spend half of their budget paying salaries to civil servants... This is a huge truth they wont tell you, so you keep voting dem expecting change.

The budget of the states are too small wen compared to the population.

Take away the Niger delta states/oil revenue and Nigeria is doomed, you call that a country?

The $39 billion per annum we make from oil sales is what some companies make in a year.
I agreed with some of your points but the states can also do better in generating revenue

Do a study of the transport system and even the market system of Nigeria, you will be shocked at how much money miscreants makes off government on a daily basis

Until we start allowing the local government act independently, I don't see any solution in sight to the issue of revenue dwindling

Whats the population of Kazakhstan?

Those are small countries and the oil is virtually every were.

Imagine if one of the oil producing states in Nigeria was a country? They will do the same.

Forget corruption the budget of Naija is too small...
Corruption is the bane of our development here

Nigeria have no business been broke but our selfish leaders will never allow that happen

Do you know how much governments make from transportation daily? Not to talk of market

They intentionally rendered local government useless, so they can loot all of the funds

And here we are we need to defend their atrocities even when we no help them commit it
