Please leave the Nigerian way of looking at such things at the door. First of all, you are contradicting yourself bigtime. You say Tony Blair isn't Scottish in anyway shape or form and then when I point out his Scottish roots you go off on a tangent about every white person having roots from everywhere else. Now you are looking at Tony's father in order to support your non-Scot claim and totally ignoring his mother who was Scot Irish. Even the the Queen has a Scottish mother and the English only have good things to say about her. In fact there are hardly any 'English' people in the Royal family including the Queen herself because her father came from a German family. If we all were to employ your archaic way of thinking then we would only claim nationality based on our forefathers even though they lived thousands of years before us in a different time and place. |
Tony Blair has Scottish roots. |

Thread diversion!!! Can someone tell me where I can get a room for £1000 a year in London? ![]() 1000 pounds a year to rent a whole house (when you pay the same amount in a year for a single room in London!!) |
I would like to say that I have the utmost respect for anyone who has resorted to cleaning toilets, washing corpses or sweeping the streets for an honest living. Much for respect for anyone who sees corruption, 419 or the duping of innocent people of their hard earned cash as an honest way to make a living. I wouldn’t even spit on such people. |
I think it would be good if my girl Gabourey won for Precious. Her performance was raw as was Moniques. |
Nigeria wasn't mentioned anywhere in the article posted so calm down. The British conquered the world and so surely they know the difference between their former British colony, Nigeria and a former Belgium one, Burundi. ![]() igbonla: |
Seun:Or he could have simply gotten a job to pay for his ticket back to Burundi or saved up his benefit money and been on his way. The ungrateful lazy RoosterDrinker! I bet he didn't want to leave but knew his time was up after all the crimes he had committed and so started to front like he wanted to leave anyway. What an !diot! |
If you're coming from Nigeria then Canada would be better besides we already have enough Nigerians in the UK ![]() |
LAGOS BOY Wrote Lagosboy:You seem to have been the only one who has expressed some sense in this thread. ( haven't read all) So one Nigerian decides to blow up a plane how does that effect all Nigerians? As you said, there are plenty of British and American terrorists but the citizens of those countries aren't penalized at airports or all seen as potential terrorists so why is it different for Nigeria? I think Nigerians should focus trying to weed out the threat of extremism in their countries, the Foreign Minister needs to make a statement pronto condemning this attempted attack and promising to work with the Americans against terrorism. That's all its takes instead of going on the defensive and pointing the finger at the press. |
SEAFAGO WROTE: The guy, as i have mentioned previously has his roots in katsina state- but is likely to be a british national. If he isn't a british national then he must be the son of a wealthy nigerian- the guy attends UCL for crying out loud, that school is not cheap if you are an international studentWhy are you guys so keen for him to be British? You don't think the FBI, the American Secret Service would have been all over this man like a flies on $hit and would know well enough by now to determine what nationality he was before telling the news agencies. For your information you don't have to be British to study at a British University. |
how on earth can you sit there and say someone who won 5 gold medals and is now deported 'got the best out of the deal'?You are not getting it! 5 or even 10 Gold medals mean nothing in the grand scheme of things especially when you break the law. Do you understand? Nothing! Nada! Zilch! So Britain funded someone who won Gold for them a some minor international event and because of that he, the persistent offender should be left alone because he won a measley Gold medals You need to understand that no one, absolutely no one is above the law in the UK except the Queen and that is only because the law is executed under her name. Read the story below about the former chair of roads policing at the Association of Chief Police Officers in Wales who was not only banned for speeding and had to pay £350 but was also made forced to resign after his misconduct. No doubt he would have been deported too had he been made to serve a prison term and had been a foreigner. ![]() http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7128548.stm 90mph police chief's driving banAgain no one is above the law. Another note the reason why Onwubiko was in put in prison again despite serving his sentence was because there wasn't the facilities at the detention camp to cater to his disabilties. presido1:He may be or not as long as he doesn't expect the British tax payer (legal aid) to fund his appeal. |
@Basildon1 What has the BNP got to do with this. Are you a member and/or do you support their politics? Further, I did not gain British citizenship by virtue of residency or whatever it is you said. I was BORN in England, have LIVED in England all my life (save for the last couple of years on and off here in San Diego) . I've spent only two weeks of my entire life on Nigerian soil and have no future plans to do so again after the extortionate visa fee I was charged the last time. So get it into your thick head. There are some black people who were born and bred in the Uk and see it as their home. We claim that right and have no desire whatsoever to move to a country.i.e. Nigeria that they are not familiar with just for the sake of being around other black people. Fickle rats like you run in fear when the BNP start spewing their nonsense but real Brits stay put and fight for what is theirs. |
olabukola:Since when did you or anybody else's way of thinking define me? I'm English(born in England) or British! Anyway don't lose any sleep over that Pumpkin. ![]() |
yeswecan:If you want to discuss world war II then start another thread and I will be more than happy to do so. |
honeric01:I would rather be 13 than a 50 year old who rationalises like a 5 year old like you. Don't worry about how small my room is, how small is your brain? Not bigger than the smallest pea, I suspect given the amount of drivel you have written in this thread. Now be gone with you Twerp! ![]()
YAAAWWWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN person wey find something come wan die on top- wetin person wey dash am suppose do
I didn't bother to make sense of that incoherent line you wrote so whatever.Mekana:America is doing nothing for me Arsewipe! I am employed for a huge British multinational (which also employs thousands of Americans as well as other nationalities around the world) but working on a large project in California. 'Jumped at the chance to make it in America' Please we Brits are running things over here. For a small Island we have plenty of international Businesses (HSBC, BP, British Aerospace, Barclays, Virgin Atlantic.etc.) over here which generate billions upon of dollars every year and compete successfully with our American counterparts. Britain is a very small country but our impact on the world is huge!Who cares if you were born in that cesspit called the Bronx when you bltantly write and come communicate like a bus conductor in Ajegunle? LOL! Fact remains Britain won the war with her Allies. Fact remains, America were forced to enter the war when the Japanese wiped out Pearl Harbour. Fact, America would not exist as it is today, without our laws, our English language, names (The majority of American famous cities and states are named after British ones or people i.e. New York, New England, The Carolinas, Virginia, Pennsylvania etc) without the English colonists. You initially came in here bigging up the the Germans, forgetting that you speak our English language, you came in here trying to criticise OUR English law and conveniently forgetting that American law is also based on OUR English common law (magna carta). You obviously have nothing constructive to the topic being discussed except hatred and criticism of my country and so you need to take a step back with that BS you illiterate son of a B!TCH!!! Pompous Arrow! |
olabukola:So you were talking through your anus like I thought. |
olabukola:Again sentiments aside where are the facts to back up your statement? Or are you emotionally talking through your anus? I suppose I should abandon being a Brit to be a Nigerian aye? Would that make you and your ilk sleep well at night? ![]() |
honeric01:You're pathetic!
myself trying to convince you to be Nigerian? you must be confusing me with someone else. If by hated in your own country you're referring to my comments about your idols throwing you under the bus, then sorry sweetie but that's life. Deal with it. The real McCoy Brits know themselves. Face them, not me.
You're pathetic too! I am British! deal with it or go and jump in the nearest river. Ta-ta for now. I expect I will see you in the next thread uttering the same innuendoes about my British birthright! Pillock! ![]() |
whatever reduces your medication and help you cope with life sweetie.
Methinks you are the one in need of medication to deal with that fact Pumpkin seen as you never waste any time trying to convince me that I am hated in my own country and that I should be a Nigerian.olabukola:Sentiments aside, why do you say this? Has there ever been a case of a British person born and bred being deported from Britain? I always hear this sentiment expressed whenever I tell a Nigerian that I am British and I am curious to know why you think and believe that is possible. Perhaps you think the laws in my country work like the ones in Nigeria where the Mayor or Governor of Lagos can deport Nigerians from a Nigerian state (Lagos)? Please elaborate on your reasoning please? honeric01:Who are you calling Cockroach Pighead? You have already proved that you're a first class irrational twerp so kindly move on! |
you sound like a bush Nigerian illiterate who's afraid to use google. No wonder the country is in a mess.
I am not Nigerian Dummy. Descended from Nigerians, but not Nigerian, which part of that can't you comprehend![]() The war was nearly done and dusted by the times the Americans joined and this only after they got their arses handed to them by the Japanese. Google this or kindly shut the f up with your BS. Britannia rules the world!!! ![]()
I doubt it will be clear. . . . .Lemme spell it OUT!!!! At the moment(1999) residency is one of the main qualifications and athletes can compete for a country as long as they are in the process of applying for citizenship even though they may not get it eventually. If the proposal gets the backing of the meeting, athletes will have to have a passport of their new nation before they can wear the country's athletics vest I hope pro-Onwubiko can now keep their mouths shut, forever. ![]() Stop acting like an illiterate and stop arguing like a retard. The laws had been re-written. . . . .When Onwubiko represented Great Britain in 1995-1997, his residency allowed him to compete So you going to IAAF to quote anything now(2009) makes you sound like a twerp.
Just thought to highlight what you wrote for clarity. Hopefully the twerp can make sense of dates and timelines |
honeric01:I gather you are obviously too stupid to Google this information for yourself so I have done the honours. At the moment residency is one of the main qualifications and athletes can compete for a country as long as they are in the process of applying for citizenship even though they may not get it eventually.http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/athletics-iaaf-to-tighten-up-rules-on-nationality-1113509.html The article wascwritten 1999. Onwubiko competed in 1995 and 1997 and so if the rules have changed now it they would not have affected him back then. I hope this is clear. ![]() |
Mekana:I didn't bother to read the rest of your dribble but Again. . . .Britain won the war. America only jumped in when their arses got kicked by the Japanese at Pearl Harbour and the British had virtually done all the hard work. Mekana:Again what part of this topic is about America? talk about being an obnoxious prick! This is OUR country and your beloved America does not dictate our rules and laws. In fact American Law is based on English (OUR) Law so you have a cheek trying to tell us how to run things in our country. Get the F out of here with that BS!!! Anyway I will try not to hold it against you because you are probably just a Nigerian trying to be an American and getting it all wrong. ![]() |
honeric01:Where in the article does it say he was a Briton? What part of 'you don't have to be a citizen of a country to represent it in a sporting event' don't you understand? |
Mekana. You are indeed an slowpoke. This thread isn't about Britain Vs America but if you want to get that itch out of your system start a thread and I will happily debate with you. Your fellow Nigerian, Onwubiko broke the rules of our land and so he is up for deportation. Please deal with that instead of going off on a tangent as to why you think America is better than Britain. Idiot! |
honeric01:I edited my post as there were a few typos. here it is again: In case it escaped you, America is hundred times bigger than Britain. The Island (Britain) holds just over 60 million compared to America's 300 million so that means a much larger workforce and productivity which inn terms means the ability to generate more economy. Despite that Britain still remains one the top countries in the world. |
Mekana:In case it escaped you, America is hundred times bigger than Britain. The Island (Britain) holds just over 60 million compared to America's 300 million so that means a much larger workforce and productivity which inn terms means the ability to generate more economy. Despite that Britain still remains one the top countries in the world. And please read up on your history books, you do realise the Britain actually won the war? If they hadn't we would acyually be communicating in German. Anyway you sound like you have an issue with the British?? Wrong thread Pumpkin. This isn't a America vs Britain thread! ![]() |
Mekana:You are aware that there is a difference between British and American law? In short all motoring offences in Britain are classified as criminal unless they have been decriminalised and handled by the council. And don't forget that this man also was also caught driving while banned and that alone is definetly a criminal offence. |
FBS:Did he commit a crime? |
No2Atheism:You are entitled to your ideas and preferences. the fact remains the the disabled Nigerian chose to comit a crime in a foreign land and so will be deported in accordance with the law. If he feels that his human rights are being abused then he is free to appeal, with his own funds of course. . . ![]() I am British, currently living and working in a foreign land, USA. As a foreigner there are certain rules that I have to adhere to. I have to adhere to the driving rules and laws, ensure that my insurance and license are up to date, pay my taxes, don't drink and drive etc etc. In some states of the USA if you kill someone then you could face the death penalty. In Britain you are looking at a life term which is probably about 15 years. The same with fraud cases. In American, a fraud conviction will get you 25 years to life, In Britain a maximum four years. My point is Onwubiko broke the law, and regardless of skin colour he is a foreigner and should be deported to his country of origin. Britain has more than enough home grown criminals to deal with and shouldn't have to deal with Nigerian ones as well. Anabel:Then diasbled criminal should be praising God for this deportation order on his head. Why are we even debating this issue? He needs to go back to his country where he can get by with prayer and seriousness. |
I didn't bother to make sense of that incoherent line you wrote so whatever.
Methinks you are the one in need of medication to deal with that fact Pumpkin seen as you never waste any time trying to convince me that I am hated in my own country and that I should be a Nigerian.
