Look what this one is saying, even if she was a runs girl, what does that have to do with killing her and removing her private parts? So are u trying to think that those who did this to her (provided she was a runs girl) will not do same to you (even if u are not a runs girl). They might have just kidnapped this girl as an innocent passer by at night which could happen to anybody, runs girl or no runs girl... U should be more concerned that ppl that barbaric are in the vicinity of ur University instead of just judging the girl.
PoliticsRe: Mokola Flyover Opens For Use On Tuesday, 25th June. by Anvaller: 1:03pm On Jun 21, 2013
Beautifully said..

So again, lets look at this as a simple debate and not allow our emotions turn things sour here.

SOoooo! Oyo State has little money especially when compared to Akwa Ibom.. #Undisputable. But this is my point. at some point, bigger roads would be needed. Even in this Makola area. then the demolition we didnt do today a 5 naira, we would do it tomorrow at 10. Maybe, the government could have gone out on a limb, paid the compensation, pushed the houses back, expanded the existing road by an additional 2 lanes on each side and allow a future government build the flyover. Many states borrowed the monies with which they are working in their states. If we keep using this allocation excuse, then states like Kebbi and co are eternally doomed I guess. Meaning we should never expect any real development from states outside the Niger Delta, the industrous states in the East like Anambra, Abia, Imo (for Egbema oil money) and maybe Ebonyi (for agriculture), then some Agriculturally active northern and Middle belt states.

Dude! This is 2013.. Such excuses should be chucked in the bin. Even the U.S sef they borrow money to do work. If Oyo is that Poor, sign a 50 year BOT agreement with a company or bank that will finance the project. Lagos is doing it, RIvers is doing it, Akwa Ibom is doing it, and still these states have money, so why cant Oyo do it?!

My guy find another excuse. All they have done is create more work for the future generation of Oyo. Ibadan is a state capital for christ sake. If better development enters Oyo, it will start from Ibadan. Now a future generation will have to look for a way to pay more to demolish and compensate (based on the time value of money), then think of how to either build a new flyover around this one or demolish and re-build which will still cost more all because the present generation were myopic to see a big future for the state. Rivers State is suffering from such now.. If only the past governments knew that Port-Harcourt would grow bigger than Borokiri and extend as far as Obigbo today, maybe they would have done alot of things differently. Now the money Rivers State has spent of Demolitions and compensation is enough to make 2 Local government areas enjoy dual carriage ways in all streets, nooks and crannies.

Ask any Port-Harcourt inhabitant about Rumuola flyover..
Ur criticism is positive and constructive. It is just that some ppl here, no matter how u try to make them see the reality in ur criticism, they will still feel the need to go all the way to defend ACN. Meanwhile, should we as a ppl feel any need to defend any party or our own interest collectively as a people? It should be us (the people) against them (the politicians) irrespective of parties unless every Nigerians are politicians.

Now if u look at the bridge, it should be a dual lane bridge considering the traffic pressure of Mokola and our apparently increasing population. But then I understand that they made it that narrow because they didnt want to demolish properties. If that is the case, I may cut them some slack but then there is a problem, They are claiming that this bridge is a multi billion Naira project, this is where I have a problem... People are not discussing that, they are defending politicians... how can this less than one kilometer single lane fly over be multi billion naira. So if they spent that much, why is the bridge not double lane? why cant they demolish and compensate from the multiple of billions they spent?

Well God will help Nigeria but Nigerians themselves should stop thinking like politicians when they are not. Defend ur interest not that of politicians. U will never hear Americans defending any politician over their own interest even with the level of accountability in that country.

dolphinife: We shouldn't be ridiculous. Every cockpit has the same functions with different variations. All the modern aeroplanes are embedded with auto-pilot. This auto pilot was created to so dat flight engineers wouldn't be needed again in our cockpit.
The only aeroplane that still flies with flight engineer on-board is boieng 747-200, 400, 500,600 and 800 series. That means u have 3 people controlling the aircraft I.e the captain, the first officer and the flieght engineer.
The reason why most aeroplanes operated in Nigeria doesn't allow passengers to switch-on their phones is because the network will affect the Air Traffic Control(ATC) signal between the pilots and the control tower which will definitely cause an accident. However, most of the bigger aeroplanes are embedded with internet facilities, GSM networks, etc. because the configuration of these bigger aeroplanes allow passengers to make use of their GSM gadgets.
Nevertheless, Nigerian aeroplanes also parades one of the finest cockpit because the models and configurations of these cockpits cut across every aeroplanes in the world.
Lastly, I want to direct this message to the MOD and SEUN OSEWA, I would love to implore these people to create AVIATION SECTION on Nairaland where ideas bothering on airports and aviation in general can be discussed.
I support u 100% on this one... That will be very educative and informative.. Where there will be exchange of information on aviation in general, international travels, airline comparison and a lot more. That's a good idea.

But then do u know that There was recently a circular that all pilots should be retrained on on-flight manual manouvers cos there has been crashes these days due to pilot's over reliance on Auto Pilot. When it disengages due to technical itches, Pilot's usually have problem managing the plane's behaviour because they have been so used to flying automatically.
SportsRe: Odemwingie Still Wants To Play For Nigeria by Anvaller: 11:38am On Jun 19, 2013
dolphinife: Is like u dnt understand what transpired between osaze, NFF and keshi. Two weeks before the Nations cup, osaze has bid his coach, his teammates and other people at west brom goodbye dat he's going to represent his country. Infact, he granted an interview with BBC where he stated clearly that he love Nigeria and he's glad that he would be representing Nigeria at d tournament.

Before you know it, osaze who has been a regular starter for nigeria, wasn't listed in the final list to play the nations cup neither was he called by mobile phone as to explain the reasons why he wouldn't be taken along. Infact, he heard his omission from the internet. If you were the player, wouldn't you have curse Keshi and NFF?
Moreso, he made us to believe that there is massive corruption going on in the NFF cos the kits and the equipment they use to train are substandard. Infact, he made us to realise that at times, he use to pay for his ticket back to his club. He also said the jersey they always use for training have always been used ones. This is the man who took the goon by the horn when the useless Joseph Yobo couldn't speak on behalf of the team.
How many matches does Mikel obi played for Nigeria during the african cup qualifiers, yet, he was taken along. Infact, to the best of my knowledge, lagerbark who took us to the world cup was the most useless coach I've seen. He benched the likes of osaze for no reason and dats why we left without making an impact. To me, osaze should be offered an apology for disgracing him publicly when he has made up his mind to play for nigeria and his hope was dashed
U are not telling the truth. The way u narrated ur story looks very much like u learnt ur own side of the story via rumours but not fact. Osaze started the drama all by himself. When Keshi was appointed coach, he was reaching out to all players he intends to include in his team and reached out to Osaze. Osaze told him that he was not interested in eagles anymore and he explains his reasons... The main reasons he gave was the NFF's corruption and poor management of the players plus politics with football. We all know that he was on point and he was telling the truth. Keshi implored him but he refused. At that point he was playing hard to get not knowing that it would back fire.

Keshi gathered new boys and the eagles started looking like they don't need Osaze. They started playing qualifiers without him and he later after realizing that he seems that he was looking unneeded, he reached out to keshi and said he wanted to play on one condition that he should be made the captain. Keshi told him that he wasn't going to accept him based on preconditions as he did not accept any player in camp based on any. ( Remember that it was Osaze himself who told Keshi that he wasn't interested in Eagles anymore in the 1st place ) Nations cup was close and for moral reasons, Keshi could not even bring him in anymore because u don't bring him to camp and give him jersey at the expense of guys that fought tooth and nail for Eagles, if he wanted to be part of the team, he should have worked his way in from the beginning otherwise the other players will feel shortchanged and it will affect their commitment. If he had any issues with former coaches, he shouldn't have carried it over to Keshi cos Keshi was then a new coach, he should have started a new affair with Keshi and see how Keshi will relate with him 1st before complaining about anything. So its all Osaze's fault.

lastpage: It takes a real man, a real leader, one who is not out for a pound of flesh or revenge, to do what you ask for!

But as a Nigerian, l think you appreciate how vengeful we are.
Very unforgiving, especially if a little success falls our way.

To be honest, just like in our churches, TRUTH HAS SUFFERED A LOT.
Osaze said the truth but maybe, just may be his approach was WRONG ...by Nigerian standards! wink wink

Its called "Bigmannism"!

I think he has learnt his lesson ...though "learning to keep quiet in the face of tyranny" is actually not a lesson we should all desire to learn! .... but this is Nigeria naah (Upside-down mentality)

I feel for the guy, he was brought up in an environment where "fear and waka-on-top-my-head, make l chop" was not the norm and was not imbibed into him!
My own kids have same mentality. They will question you without fear, respectfully though, no matter how old you are.
They will tell you the truth, irrespective of the consequence. I appreciate it but l fear for them.

Well, l have provided and ...they've got "options" anyway. wink

If Osaze is the best striker we have right now, including him can only make us BETTER.
If he shows "true remorse" (l hate that word/feeling when l know he is right in his allegations!) and Keshi still ignores him, l will urge him to take heart.

BTW: These Twitter, facebook and other Social Media has ruined many lives, l hope others are learning to "control their urge to vent" on S.M., especially when your identity is "identifiable"?
I do not agree with ur comments on different levels.

1) U said as a Nigerian we are very unforgiving... I am a Nigerian I don't think we are very unforgiving so it might be the part of Nigeria u come from... (I don't know which part u come from so don't just generalize like that)

2) U said Odemwingie was just saying the truth and got punished for it... well.. no one is slamming him on that level. He is not the 1st player to say the truth and they are still playing he was very immature and unprofessional about how he went about saying the truth. U don't do anything that is liable of distracting and destructing the team's togetherness cos that is more important than waht u see on the field. Keshi kept him at bay cos he knows the possible problems he could likely cause in camp. In 2002, when Onigbinde sacked old players, ppl crticized him and he was forced to infuse experienced players, but he said his biggest regret was including Taribo in the defence cos the boys were fantastic he only included taribo for experience but taribo went shouting on those boys at the back and confusing them against the instructions he the coach has given them. So coaches make decision not only because a player is good but based on other considerations.

3) Osaze is a good striker but not the best we have for now... I won't rate him above Emenike or Moses. This guys have proved themselves to be very efficient on goaL. Osaze is an emotional striker, he is the type that will spoil the game for u just because he is not happy. Don't believe me? watch him in the last world cup.

However, I agree with ur last advice, People should stay away from S.M, they don't add any significant value to ppl and they get ppl into trouble. Even Linkedin that is seemingly inevitable on professional levels still get ppl into trouble when not properly managed. I also agree with ur advice that he should be called back if he has shown remorse. But lets remember that if Osaze has shown remorse now, it must have been because the coach has proved to him beyond doubt that the Eagles can be successful with or without him and that is what all Nigerian footballers should understand. That is why I don't criticize the coach on Osaze issue.
SportsRe: Musa, Ujah, Or Ideye: Who's Worse? by Anvaller: 9:18pm On Jun 18, 2013
Why are some guys shouting Musa? He is not the top striker and he made the most run in the 18 yard box. What did the other guys do? His finishing might be bad but at least he was trying to run and shoot across the goal post. What about Ujah who could have easily passed the ball to the guy on his right who was marked by nobody? He still went ahead and attempted dribbling the keeper. What about Ideye who could not convert one on chances with goal keeper to a goal. At least if musa did not score, he was the only player that had some spark in that match. what about mikel that was just giving free balls away in the midfield? What about Ogude who could not cleanly win ball from Tahiti guys without causing a freekick? How then does he want to manage his tackles against more sneaky spain and uruguay?
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Tahiti - Confederations Cup: (6 - 1) On 17th June 2013 by Anvaller: 10:22pm On Jun 17, 2013
With this very disappointing match, we might have been out of this tournament already. We should have scored up to 10 goals at least. The only way we can make up for this error is to beat uruguay. If we play draw against Uruguay we are out cos Spain will beat us, (unless there is a surprise) and Uruguay will score more goals against Tahiti. So Uruguay will proceed to the next stage on goals advantage. Our guys missed 4 clear chances and 3 other narrow chances... It was just too stupid.

MMotimo: How does it make any sense to leave the door open during lovemaking when the MIL is next door?

What is the meaning of that? If the door cannot be closed, it's time to move the games to a different turf/location. Every town has a hotel or you find cheaper alternatives like the back of your car.

Haba, have some respect naw! I wouldn't even leave the door open with a sibling next door not to talk of a mother. No child of mine should disrespect me that way o! Because I came to help them with their kids? Orisirisi. Kia, I don carry my bag, face my house angry
This is another undesirable mother in law. So it's a disrespect to know that ur daughter is having sex with her husband? Okay fine, I agree that all they need to do is just shut the door but anything that happens after shouldnt be mother in laws problem. Why is sex so much of a taboo in Naija even when its between husband and wife.

If you can know his health status, why shouldn't the company also know ?
Haha.. U probably meant "connive" buddy?

But generally stop defending Jacko.. he was a crack head just like a million other crack heads in the States. He was just a billionaire crack head. And he put his own life on the line by the bad decisions he took. I will tell the story of Jacko to my kids as being tho a pop legend but whose lifestyle should never be emulated.
Stop being emotional with the case of Michael, he ruined himself, he knew he was going to die, those who knew his state of health knew he was going to die, they just didnt know it was going to be that soon. Apart from his athritis and his diseased skin, Michael couldn't sleep naturally unless he used propofol, a backlash of the damages he did to his won health and the only thing they could do was to keep the drugs out if his reach otherwise he was going to self medicate himself. But then, he was not able to do anything, he was permanently sick, he just needed this drugs if he would function. So instead of ignoring the bad decisions Jacko took in his life based on mere emotions, U better look deep into it and learn from his mistakes.

That's my own take

emiye: Your cart before the horse analogy does not seem to hold water, you need to prove that renovating the classrooms, libraries and employment of teachers must be completed, before the Oyo state can start handing out the tablets to the students. I opined that the two can be done simultaneously, since they are independent of each other.

The tablets is an educational aid useful for the "kids" anywhere they find themselves e.g at home, outside the state, out of the country, in the jungle, in the shrine, in a no network area, in the toilet and bathroom grin
The internet facility has been disabled, and an encyclopedia installed.
... Now i will implore you to use this different lens to look at the initiative.

Library without borders !

For those clamouring for physical library. I need you to answer these questions.

Can a student use the Physical library after school closing hours on a school day?

Can a student use a Physical library on a saturday or sunday?

Can a student use a Physical library on public holidays or long /short vacations?

Can a student be assured of steady power supply in those physical libraries?

School starts from 8:00am to 2:00pm, that is 6hours, more than half of that is spent in classrooms to receive lectures, as such students have at most 2hours, if at all they want to use the library.

By 2015, JAMB has said its exams will be compulsorily computer based test !

Use your head people, and stop the useless criticisms.

It is actually a street smart initiative, why will the government wait till they renovate all the schools, that may take years. renovation and school upgrade might take a longer time. I am sure the state government has not said he will abandon school renovation e.t.c for this.
If u start saying stuffs like "use your head people", maybe u should use ur head 1st, No sustainable project could be achieved by fire brigade approach.. what is wrong if a project takes longer time if it will be sustainable?. U have listed problems here in ur questions, so in ur opinion, a way to solve them is to distribute tablets? If u looked at my previous comments here, I have asked questions that is yet unanswered. If the government is effectively solving all the problems u have listed, no one will be so critical about this sham. Now u are talking of libraries in a tablet,

Tell me what are the books in that tablet?

Are they books required in local syllabus in Nigeria? (they are saying encyclopedia and stuffs as if their exams are based on disparage information in an encyclopaedia

Would these students get to read their exact text books, their social studies, integrated science, modern biology etc that is being used in class electronically in their various tablets?

What is the lifespan of this tablet?
What is the replacement strategy in case of theft or damage?
Are they going to sell or distribute them free of charge?

Are they going to distribute to every secondary school students? (all of u proponents are yet to answer this question)
So when the current students pass out, do the new ones also get tablets... Now u are talking of street smart... Tell me what is smart about this? Even the developed countries don't embark on such wasteful project, its expensive and not sustainable. It is simply not smart. I have suggested more reasonable projects they could have done in my previous comments, but u chose to ignore those. I am offering constructive criticism here, that's why I never get involved in other arguments on the names given the tablet.

U talked about Jamb going computer based, well using tablets does not guarantee that they can do computer based test, cos they will not do the exam on tablets, they will use basic computers. Normal computer and a tablet is not the same thing they have different xteriistics, and mode of operation is different. They will still have problem with simple stuffs like navigating with a mouse and using the key pad, in other words, they are still somewhat computer illiterate, so that flaws ur point absolutely.

U know what? I can not continue to debate this nonsense... I wish you good luck with ur tablets.. we shall see how it goes.
PoliticsRe: "Ajumo'mo" Learning Tablet To Be Launched By Oyo State by Anvaller: 2:28pm On Jun 11, 2013
MT: If this is true, then I can say there's a problem with Oyo state govt. Must he always copy everything being done in other state verbatim ?. Starting from O'yes, keke ajumose, now ajumo 'mo. Oyo state needs to change its slogan from "Pacesetter" to "blind follower". No innovation!

This is an obvious case of fraud. Oyo state students need basic infrstructure like classroom, proper sport facilities, good toilets, well motivated teachers etc. This project is not well thought through. Lack of proper project prioritization.
Oh thank God someone is being real here, That in the bold perfectly summarizes what I have been saying.. We need to stop being emotional and be more real.. This does not make any sense... I repeat, this project does not make any sense... It would have made sense if the basics are already in place. Establish a proper learning environment 1st, u have not solved that, its like nigeria dreaming of going to space when we do not have an on premise laboratory... It's like offering home appliances to a homeless person, build the homeless a house 1st if u really want to help, mind u the cost of buying home appliances can not be compared to actually building the house to put his appliances, that's what they don't want to do.

We should demand real development, not disguised development.. what sense does that make and ppl here think we are advancing, both the people and the politicians are all deceiving themselves. And that is the sad thing in Nigeria, exactly what the politicians are aware of and they are capitalizing on that mentality to operate. Students need to advance technologically but no one is talking about the teachers, so who will teach them? Oh they will teach themselves... What a joke... This an undesirably incongruous development strategy that leads to nowhere it is ridiculous from all fronts.
PoliticsRe: "Ajumo'mo" Learning Tablet To Be Launched By Oyo State by Anvaller: 12:01pm On Jun 11, 2013
Gbawe: Can you and others not see the obvious? Do you not understand the huge difference in per capita income to note that most parents in the UK and in developed nations can give children adequate after-school study aids?

Are we a developed nation or even near being one? If we are pragmatic, realistic and solution-driven, it will be obvious the government needs to spend even more of Nigeria's wealth on ordinary Nigerians instead of the very small percentage connected to Governance.

Let me tell you all this right now as something most Nigerians are not aware of. Nigerian Senators can get as many as three I-pads totally free of charge because of their job!!! Do they deserve it more than our children who are the future and cornerstone of any national greatness we are planning for?

In relation to that, what is the need for argument as per the notion of Nigerian children gaining an educational aid, much cheaper than an I-pad, that helps them learn optimally and introduces them to important technology that is now homogeneously important worldwide?

With our universally touted "one dollar per day" poverty, we must welcome every government effort to negate how poverty can prevent our children from being the best they can be. I really do not want to engage in a long back and forth and will simply ask you to note that I believe socio-capitalism is best for Nigeria given where we are today. My example of 5 year old using tablets in the UK is to show that we must move to counter economic advantages others have that keep their children, even in sleep mode, ahead of kids in Nigeria. You may enjoy arguing for the sake of it but, after all is said and done, we cannot escape how developed nations keep ahead of the technology/innovation pile because of the massive investment, private and public, in human development.
Okay, u are saying we are not a developed nation, which is true but we want to leap to the point where the developed nations are right now? It doesn't make any developmental sense... While I appreciate ur response, I observed that u are too superficial in ur thinking and u failed to answer my critical questions. WILL EVERY OYO STUDENT HAVE THESE TABLETS? If its practically impossible that the tablets go to all students, then ur expressed passion for the wealth of Nigeria going to common man is there defeated. No one man should be bigger than the other, no one student should benefit more than the other.

I am absolutely more concerned about equality that's why I reject these superficial projects and embrace basic sustainable projects that will benefit all. Instead of distributing tablets which is apparently not an essential factor of learning, why not fix white marker boards in classrooms for students which will benefit the teacher and the students all at the same time, if they are technology obsessed which is a welcomed development anyway, why not fix projectors in class room which will enhance speedy learning and benefit students and their teachers all at the same time, so that we can move from archaic teaching methods to power points based teaching, the projectors could then be beamed on the white boards (we are not even at that level now in 2013). After all, one of his principal campaign promises was to independently generate electricity, therefore electricity shouldn't be an excuse for not doing such project. Imagine if he did that, would that not be more popular? But nooo, they are not ready to effectively spend that much on the citizens, that's why its funny to me when u are talking of wealth for common man...

Look we can continue to push and pull on this issue, the bottom line is, they should embark on more sustainable projects. there are a lot of other ways to go technological other than this unsustainable project that is just a sheer waste of money.. What is painful to me is that deep in their hearts, they know it but they need to make noise and score political point at the expense of true development, that is more important to them.

Gbawe: I suppose you know more more than UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) and it's many technocratic experts. I would think they know a good educational aid when they see one. You guys should just learn to control the need to criticise blindly and negatively.

I can tell you that even 5 year olds use tablets, smart phones and touch screen devices in the UK with ease. They are so intuitive at it that kids as young as 3 are totally at ease in an Apple I-store. The interactivity and real benefits of these devices are amazing. Yet you people, with unobjective and personalised criticism not at all congruent with world reality and the fast pace of universal development, want the Nigerian child to continue to lag behind , in an IT age, so he/she will have the poorest skill-set that will be very hard to transfer in future. Even the sole argument of getting young Nigerians adept at using information technology, as soon as possible, is a winner on it's own and worth any initial learning circle of maintenance, restocking, upgrading issues this may present. Once an entrenched idea, then problems are overcome and this becomes the norm. Same as touch-screen technology, relatively unknown 15 years ago, is the cornerstone of everything we do today.

Gbaweeeeee... Can u explain to me how this will work? How do they intend to implement and sustain this? Would they distribute Ipad to every secondary school student in Oyo state? U and I know that they won't do that because they can't do it so if u think they can, tell me how. As far as I am concerned, this is just a blatant political stunt, they don't want to do fundamental things that will benefit every student, instead they want to distribute Ipad to some privileged few and make noise in the media about how they are doing wonders in Oyo.. is that not the ACN insidious gimmick? Are u seriously asking us to believe that picture in the article u posted is reality?

Ipad is not what an Oyo student need. They require much more basic study facilities than an Ipad.. The problem in Nigeria is that our politics and policies are plain stupid.. we want to leap from 0-10 without going through the steps in between. And now u drew points from how 5 years-old are proficient with the use of Ipad in the UK... Well that's a bit of manipulation of information to score point for ur argument. Yes, a 5 years old might be proficient with Ipad in the U.K but that point is pointless in this context
1) Students are not bought Ipad as study incentives by their government, it's simply gadgets bought for them by their parents and that is only those that can afford it, not all kids have Ipad even at high school levels. The core of computer literacy in the U.K is still based on PCs and laptops in study environments but here, Oyo a state with countless dilapidated inhabitable classrooms wants to start from Ipad ... this is a joke.
2) Research as shown that the use of Ipad and smartphones by high school students in Europe is a distraction away from studies as they spend every minutes possible on social media. There had been debates that schools should ban students from bringing Ipads to classrooms... but the challenge still remains the smartphones as they can not be denied the right to use phones.

From my observation, this strategy is just to embark on only cosmetic but not necessarily sustainable projects that will serve as essential element to wheel their media popularity propaganda.

akinalabi: grin grin grin

That thing still dey make you laugh. grin

No laugh o. A possibility. His senatorial ambition will determine if he goes or not. If he wants the senatorial ticket and PDP gives him then he remains there. If Halleluyah gets it again, it's either he forgets his ambition or seek another platform. The only other visible platform outside ACN and PDP is Accord.
Wow u seem to be underestimating Akala... If Akala's ambition is the Senate, Halleluyah should forget it.. Are u seriously thinking PDP will afford to lose Akala at the expense of Halelluya, i think its the same mistake acn seems to be making, they are just writing this and that off. Well I personally think it is too early to be discussing this issues tho, a lot of stuffs will still unfold in the months ahead, and that is when things will start getting interesting... Everyone will know there place as time progress.

texaco1: thank god that now u are seeing reason with me,he is trying no doubt although i wont vote for him but in his stride to make an impact he is stepping on the masses toes.that is where the danger lies.in the case of lagos state fashola stepped on toes but majority didnt mind and tinubu was at the background doing the supporting job for him.acn doesnt have that kind of person in oyo state ,the masses are feeling detached and oppressed
django1: One thing that can fall ajimobi is the indiscriminate displacement of traders. People are really not happy about it.
Well stepping on masses toes might be one thing but I don't think that is his biggest problem. His biggest problem is the apparently impending implosion within his own ACN party itself. He seems to be be underestimating the doom the effect will cause him. The issues he has with his deputy, IP vs Lamist crisis,(and mind u, the Lamist are the mainstream, and the majority) the marginalization of grass root party members, the 2nd term or no 2nd term disagreement and so on.
There is a common political habit in Nigeria, politicians abandon a party where they are aggrieved for a party where chances and opportunities are perceived. ACN profited massively from such in 2011 when PDP imploded in Oyo. I want to believe (if they have not already started) that the PDP or whatever the opposition is would capitalize on profiting from the crisis by starting to patronize all the aggrieved guys in ACN. This will further disintegrate the party's unity cos rumors will then start going around that some members are starting to talk with the opposition which will further widen distrust and lead to further marginalization. Time is still on his side now, I personally think he still has some 6 months from now to straighten things up cos by the end of this year, things will start happening very fast and it will be too much for him to catch up with. So the little time he has is now.
Christianity EtcRe: Have You Ever Seen A Live Miracle? by Anvaller: 1:28pm On Jun 09, 2013
FortresOfChrist: What makes an event or occurrence a miracle? It must be a sign that is unusual in its occurrence, transcending the common course of nature or violates natural laws. When someone is sick to death, it is natural to recover to a healthy state gradually. It is a miracle for such to recover immediately without the process of time.

When someone dies in the case of Lazarus and already buried, it is usual to raise such to life again, when Jesus did that it was a miracle. It is usual for for fish to talk or walk on earth, when such happens, it is a miracle. What people call miracle today are lying wonders and does not transcend the common course of nature or violates any natural laws except for few occasions and they are rare.
The most intelligent comment so far in my own rating.
Nigerians need to grow research mentality. But unfortunately, nooo they want to believe what they want to believe even if it's ridiculous, The OP saw a cripple with thin legs walking and it's considered a miraclehuh Have u asked if the cripple could actually walk before then or not? If they said no he couldn't walk, have u confirmed the credibility of that claim? There are several documentary on utube exposing all these fake miracles, if u don't know, churches hire accomplices to connive in faking a certain ailment mostly blindness or cripple and when the anchor seem to have uncovered their fraud, the church get very belligerent, uncooperative, and will block the anchor from further access to their services WHY THAThuh
The problem with most of u is that u can not afford to believe in God without miracles, so in order to sustain ur belief, u have to believe that those craps (the unverified miracles) are true. Its like the case of some women who can not afford to love a man unless he has money. In order to sustain the love he must continue to have money. That means ur love of God is conditional...

FashionRe: Firm Launches Lacy Lingerie For Men by Anvaller: 5:54pm On Jun 05, 2013
This is the reason why I like to warn people against just accepting everything the white man is doing. Majority of guys in haute couture are geys or bisexuals so all the fashions they role out for u are gay inspired but ppl tend to rush at those fashion all because they just wanna be in vogue, they wanna wear the stuffs they see on t.v. Now they are coming out of the closet with their gey fashion and throwing it right in ur face. They are now advancing from slim tight girlie jeans and body hugs for men to actual female lingeries for men.. U better start to think about wearing ur traditional attires now before they subliminally turn every man to gey
Nairaland GeneralRe: Do You Still Spit On Your Urine? by Anvaller: 7:08pm On Jun 04, 2013
ogasir2011: It is very normal to spit after urinating, its biological. Each time you are urinating, a minute quantity of urine is also secreted through your silivary glands in your mouth. Spiting will vary b/w individuals because some salivary glands are bigger than others. Spiting while urinating its actually a reactive action from the irritation caused by the urine secretion in your Mouth.

#Fact
Absolute garbage.. U must def be joking..

And to the topic..
This is kind of gross, I never heard of spitting on urine in my entire life (Born in Nigeria, grew up in Nigeria) I am aware that some ppl spit at any foul smell which I consider a crass but no class habit. And in fact it is, I hate spitting. So I am shocked that some were actually raised to be spitting on their urine.. Oh My Goodness!!!.

RomanceRe: What Would You Do If You Fell In Love With A Cultist? by Anvaller: 3:14pm On May 29, 2013
mifan: I'm a lady in my mid -twenties, who happened to have met this guy. he knows everything about me and i always ask him to share things with me also. we talk about the future a lot with the hope that we get married someday and we have been going strong. Last week during our one to many conversations, he told me a secret that he used to be a cultist, however stopped. But recently i found that he is still one oo and cant denounce or he will die but just stopped being active. I love him but he doesn't even know the implication of still being one. He says he cant say somethings or else or even leave like that... I'm really confused at this point. I want to get married and have a wonderful life but with a Cultist,,, errm I dont think so.

Has anyone particularly females ever been in this situation? what did you do? sad
U said the guy could not even tell u some of the things he did in the past... He might have killed, robbed, raped or been an accomplice to one or all of these evil crimes. He wouldn't confess that to u cos he knows that if he does, u would leave. Some of his victims or rival cultist might not have forgiven him.. Is that what u want to settle down with? My sister, douse the flame of love in ur heart and flee right now. The guy was and is still a bad personality, his past would likely haunt him, he does not deserve u unless u think u do not deserve more. Do not allow love to lure u into a destructive oblivion.
Good luck
