Foreign AffairsRe: Blacks Are Educated To Feel Inferior - Dr Bedford Umez by Anvaller: 3:26pm On Feb 01, 2013
Krucifax: Inferiority complex as a trait is normally borne of personal character first before any outside influences become involved.

With regards to the Black thing, i think the Inferiority Complex mentioned in this thread applies mainly to "some" Blacks in White dominated Societies i.e Europe,North America, etc. If you have lived abroad (out of Africa) for a long time, you will notice there is a subtle but striking difference between Blacks who grew up in Africa and Black who grew up in the West!

I'll use myself as an example, born in the U.K but grew up in Nigeria before returning to the U.K. Someone like me grew up seeing Black Doctors,Engineers,Lawyer,Police,Politicians, etc basically Blacks running things and in control. This perspective formed my character therefore i grew up and walked round with my head held up with confidence and self-belief!

This is very different from a Black child who grew up in the West perhaps with an innate character of confidence but surrounded by events and a society that treats him and people like him like second class never-do-wells! After a while the child starts to believe that and it starts to mold his character. Only strong parenting can prevent this coupled with a personal strength of character!

This evidence is around for your to see in Educational and Entrepreneurial statistics one group has the belief and even expectation to do well, another group wants to do as they are told. It's not an easy phenomena to fight thats for sure!
In fact very accurate point... I don't even know what else to add... that is just exactly the way it is.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Gay Dog Sentenced To Death In Tennessee by Anvaller: 3:05pm On Feb 01, 2013
Nonsense.. animals that exhibit such behavior are not actually gay, it is the crazy white folks that prefer to call them gay as a justification for their mischievous claim that gay1sm is a natural phenomenon. At least I have learned thru integrated science since way back late 80s (when the world was much saner than it is today) that animal exhibit abnormal sexual behaviors as a result of response to external stimuli. For example, an animal can display sign of heat by mounting another animal of the same sex if animals of opposite sex was not easily reachable or not available at all. And further in biology, such behavior was simply refered to as "abnormality" if its a female animal that is not expected to be on heat at that time or "normal" if the animal was actually on heat. no book that I was exposed to as at that time ever connected it to gay1sm. I don't know why these white folks relate every single incidence to gay1sm by every slightest chance all in a bid to just popularize the act by hammering it in ppls brain constantly.
IslamRe: Why A Married Muslim Woman MUST Keep Her Father's Last Name? by Anvaller: 1:34pm On Jan 31, 2013
rbjimoh: . In Islam, the categories of people you cannot marry, both as a man and woman, are spelt out. Also those you can marry are spelt out. The essence of this limitations is (1) not to forbid for yourself what Allah has made lawful, and(2) not to take unto yourself what Allah has forbidden for you. Therefore, if you adopt a male child and change his surname to yours, thereby absolving him as though he is your biological son, by implication, he cannot marry any woma your real bioligical son cannot marry. By that, Islam says he has been denied or he has denied himself or forbids for himself what Allah has made lawful for him
A very good point... and this is because in Islam, God judges every one individually. No one individual's action would have effect on God's judgement on another individual's action. So if a man (an individual) adopts a child (another individual) and gives him his name as if the child was his biological child and which is not, this child may have been technically denied the right mentioned above by rbjimoh U shouldn't take action that infringes on God's judgement on an individual as an individual. The same principle is consistent with the logic in marriage. God judges the husband and wife and even the children as individuals and not as a couple or a family. No good deed or sin of one would affect God's judgement on the other. This is completely contrary to the xtian logic that says the opposite. And also contrary to some muslims that believe a certain amount of prayer can change God's judgement on a sinner after his death.. The only thing that can save any one is if ur good deeds outweighs ur evil deed before ur death. Once u r dead ur chapter is done.
IslamRe: Why A Married Muslim Woman MUST Keep Her Father's Last Name? by Anvaller: 12:59pm On Jan 31, 2013
manmacho: it is so clear in the christaindom, you and your husband becomes one, because you leave your father and mother and two of you becomes one. the husband and wife have the surname of the husband in common
There is nothing unclear in this discussion... U here want to argue as if the christian logic makes the most sense but it doesn't. This contradicts the principle of women's right. If a woman wants to keep her father's name for the love of her family or for any other reason whatsoever, she should be able to do so and that is the provision in Islam which is being discussed here.. but there is no such provision for women in xtianity. The culture of adopting the husband's name is a white man's culture they only looked for justification for it in religion and since the white man has brainwashed ppl generally that their culture and religion is perfect, u don't bother questioning some things. If u say u and ur husband become one, sure but u become one in love and not in family lineage otherwise, why do ppl divorce and revert to their maiden names that had been once abandoned... I thought u said they became one when they married... Let's start to think rationally.

And one thing u dont know is that even the white folks these days are tired of all their old culture they sold to u and they are changing, but u unfortunately are still holding up to them blindly. For example, more and more white folks are adopting a simpler form of matrimony called "common law partnership/marriage" which allows conjugal relationship without performing any of the traditional wedding rites. This provides women the right to get married, keep their family names and maintain some other rights depending on what the couple wants. This type of marriage conforms perfectly with marriage in Islam but unfortunately, some muslims dont even know this because of their inability to separate the arabian culture from Islamic religion.

CIV-ALG that was a very good match, Super Eagles should watch it closely.. the lesson to learn is that u can't stop the Ivorians from scoring, so if u want to win them, u have to score more goals than them? A very big task for Eagles ahead we sure dont look as dangerous as this guys unless the eagles put a surprise performance.

IslamRe: The True Meaning Of Jihad by Anvaller: 8:41pm On Jan 28, 2013
I have read thru this =thread and this is my observation.

* Ppl are sick and tired of Islamist extremism.

* Moderate muslims try to exonerate themselves from the extremists activities

* Non muslims accuse moderate muslims of being part of it and if not why are they too silent about their extremist folks

* Moderate muslims starts attempting to communicate the normal non-extremist muslim to non muslims and even some ignorant muslims

* Non muslims rather than embrace this attempt and encourage them to do more, they continue to castigate all muslims including the ones that are committed to peace

If non muslims can accept and encourage these peaceful muslims... they would be encouraged to do more and have more voice, and displace the status-quo which is more of the voices of the extremists. So in the near future, the world would be a better place just like it was b4 for the moderate muslims and the non muslims in general
Music/RadioRe: Wande Coal Ft. DonJazzy – The Kick by Anvaller: 6:35pm On Jan 24, 2013
well am not saying the song is the best... But am convinced that it sounds perfectly like the type that sells... they are smart with that chorus... its easy to catch and that would stick in ladies' heads 1st. Once that ladies pick it.. no choice for the guys. Don Jazzy has the habit of infusing rhythms that would lock ppl down when he's producing a song.

People should bear it in mind that this musicians/producers care more about what sells than what actually makes sense.. If u r hell bent on making sense when u sing.. u may not sell. Most songs coming out of the american hip hop scene today doesn't even make as much sense anymore as what some of these guys are producing cos its too much of cuss words, stupid and negative lyrics without depth and with a lot of naked women.. So the situation is still better that they talk only about money and bootys but no F or N words. Money and booty will 4ever be the case so we can't blame them too much for that.. Thats my take

Cheers!

mapet: I've been married for almost 10years and I am about starting my journey to 6-packs, although I am very fit, I play golf every weekend, but I want more. I've taken it as one of my 2013 project, after having done a lot of other stuffs that were priority......

Six packs is good. It make men healthy, you burn of the excess fat, it helps your metabolism and much more you look good in blazers and suits. It boost your confidence and enhances your "corporate appeal"
Golf?... U definitely need more like u have said cos game of golf is mere recreation.. U need to go more into stuffs like squash, tennis, football and u know this will only make u drop weight and look fit but u may not have 6packs.. u have to hit the gym more regularly for 6packs... but good luck tho.. and u have to remember that more chicks would hit on u after ur 6packs ..lol.. ur wife needs to sit up..lol

HealthRe: Best Way To Carry A Baby Is On Your Back? by Anvaller: 4:24pm On Jan 14, 2013
slimyem: What defines that as the best way to carry a baby?
Whatever way any mother chooses to carry her baby shouldn't be an issue as long as both mother and baby are comfortable and safe.
The end result is the same..the baby gets carried!
Ka roso mo idi and ka ro idi mo aso..ki idi ma saa ti sofo(Tieing a wrapper round the bum or tying the bum round the wrapper, its all the same as long as the bum isn't bare! )cheesy
Slimyem, u should have used the alternative proverb.. which is more easily comprehensible.
gbe omu f'omo, gbe omo f'omu ki omu sha ti de enu omo.. (take the baby to the breastt or the breastt to the baby, the point is to breastfeed the baby)
I appreciate that u used a proverb tho. Try to teach ur kids as much as u can and they would grow up to be deep thinkers..

To the topic, I am a fan of the traditional way of carrying the kid on the back but I have not also seen any particular minus in the white man's method of the baby at the front. So I am neutral on this.
CultureRe: How Often Do You Speak Your Native Language At Home? by Anvaller: 4:06pm On Jan 14, 2013
I appreciate all of u guys for taking this thread this far without tribal bashing... its almost unbelievable but that's a good one.

To the topic, let's all start to learn to speak our local Languages, Your ability to speak ur local language does not in any way affect ur ability to speak English. Most non english speaking Europeans speak English without consequence to their local languages..
So the question is why? Well the reason they speak English is strictly in order to communicate internationally not because they think English is better than their own language so u would never see any of them I repeat, any of them speaking English to their own folks even when all of them speak good English.

Most Nigerians speaking more English and little or nothing of their local language do this because they are not proud of their local language and the question again is Why? Well.. this time around I just don't know.
Car TalkRe: What Are The Dangers Of Buying A Flooded Car? by Anvaller: 3:24pm On Jan 14, 2013
femmy2010: I have seen same too and the car involved still drive .
Well I don't know much about the disadvantages of buying a flooded car but what u wrote above is not a sufficient proof for anyone to go for it.. Unless the owner of those cars have actually confirmed to u that their cars have not been giving problems after flooding. A flooded car would still drive of course... but there may be more to the fact that its still driving.
FamilyRe: Traditional, Church Or Registry: The Right Date For Marriage Anniversary? by Anvaller: 12:27pm On Jan 07, 2013
cdz: @Anvaller, If you think I'm funny then you must have an exagerated sense of humour. Traditional marriage, as we know it, obviously has no regard (or need) for anniversaries. So if you are being truly traditional then you just shouldn't bother yourself about marriage anniversaries because local tradition does not mark marriage anniversaries - at least not with any known festivity. The truth is, we no longer live in a purely traditional world and therefore, to legally declare that you are married to anybody you need some sort of proof which traditional marriage does NOT supply - except if you tell us that the parents of your bride issued you a piece of paper as evidence of your marriage to their daughter. This is why it has become necessary to either go to the church or the registry,
Well I wouldn't say u are funny this time if u'd consider it offensive but sure ur implications are still funny. The certificate u get at the church is of no use for it doesnt serve the purpose u have defined.. The certificate from registry is the only relevant entity here. And again, u are wrong to have claimed that local traditions does not mark marriage anniversaries as if there is homogeneity in traditional practices in Nigeria. From Yoruba culture and traditions, we do anniversary of almost everything and without even complicating things... anniversary of events considered important is a universal culture.
FamilyRe: Traditional, Church Or Registry: The Right Date For Marriage Anniversary? by Anvaller: 2:34pm On Jan 06, 2013
cdz: Also, note that the traditional union of a man and a woman is not called wedding, but marriage. So if you're talking of a wedding anniversary, then of course you're referring to the date of the solemnisation of holy matrimony and not of a marriage ceremony or ritual.

It's up to you, really.
So dude u are funny.. whats the difference between wedding and marriage? No matter how u wanna define the difference.. is both not about joining two ppl together? So of what significant relevance is the difference? Are u saying u can have your wedding anniversary and marriage anniversary separately?

sunny t: Traditional, church and registry look lik repetition honestly, y not jst do one and u are married. Wen u consider these events u wil understand wat im sayin.
Wat do u do at the traditional wedding? Joing together.
Wat do u do at the registry? joning together
Wat do u do at d church wedding? They are still being joined together.
So y d repetition?
As for the question, i think the 1st event( joinin together ) shd be d most important since the oda 2 are repetition.
If u do jst one of these 3, will anyone take ur wife away frm u or will anyone nullify d marriage?
Well lets note here that this conclusion is not completely true... Traditional wedding is joining 2 ppl together according to the culture and tradition of the ppl which is the most paramount even from the religious perspective as long as there are no practices in the tradition that goes against the principles of God!

REGISTRY is registering ur marriage officially in order to be constitutionally recognized by law.. (the 2 are not the same)

The church is only a repetition of the traditional wedding which is very unnecessary. The date u would chose for ur anniversay may be unofficially traditional wedding date. But u have to adhere to the date on ur certificate from registry on all official proceedings otherwise u may cause a big problem to urself if u are one who applies and subscribes for various important stuffs here and there

obadiah777: TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT CRAPPY. IN FACT I REGRETTED GOING TO THE RESTAURANT BECAUSE WHEN THEY BROUGHT THE BILL, I NEARLY PASSED OUT. AM GUESSING THIS IS WHAT THEY DO TO TOURISTS. THEY INFLATE YOUR BILL 10 TIMES THE NORMAL AMOUNT. ALL IN ALL PARIS IS A PLACE I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING TO. BUT YOU MADE A STRONG POINT ABOUT THE LOCATION OF WHERE SHE WAS. MAYBE SHE WAS IN A HIGHBROW AREA WITH ONLY ALGERIAN PICK-POCKETS.

WASNT BEAUTIFUL TO ME. YOU SHOULD SEE WHERE THE ALGERIANS LIVE. ITS LIKE MUSHIN. THEY ARE PACKED IN LIKE SARDINES AND IT IS RICKETY AND SLANTING.
Well...LOL I can read the disappointment thru ur lines... U really over expected from Paris but u are right... at least I know that huge neighborhood next to the Basilica Church on the hill to the north of Paris is an eyesore but well.. almost all these cities have their own YUCKS!!! its not only Paris thats why I was not so disappointed.. My only disappointment was that its as bad as ppl begging on the highways across that neighborhood just like Lagos.. I really felt bad at that. Go another time and stream line ur movement only to nice places and and be very informed about all bad experiences so u can avoid them. If u are going with a group of friends or colleagues.. better hire a tourist guide and it would be fun for sure.

Good luck!
CelebritiesRe: Naomi Campbell Violently Attacked In Paris by Anvaller: 1:29pm On Jan 05, 2013
obadiah777: I HAVE BEEN TO PARIS TWICE. STAYED IN A HOTEL NOT TOO FAR FROM GARE DU NORD TRAIN STATION. ALL THE PICK POCKETS HANGING AROUND THE STATION WERE BLACK MEN. IN FACT ONE OF THEM WOULDNT LEAVE ME ALONE. HE FOLLOWED ME EVERYWHERE I WENT. I HAD TO RUN AWAY FROM HIM EVENTUALLY. I TOOK HIM TO A STRIP CLUB. PAID FOR HIM AND BOUGHT HIM DRINKS AND TOLD HIM I WOULD BE BACK AND NEEDED TO GO TO THE TOILET. AND I MADE MY ESCAPE TO MY HOTEL. IN FACT THAT PARIS IS A DUMP. I WENT TO A RESTAURANT AND THEY SERVED ME RAW SNAIL TO EAT. ( DIDNT KNOW WHAT IT WAS AS THE NAMES IN THE MENU WAS NOT FAMILIAR ) AND THE TOILET WAS A HOLE IN THE GROUND ( SHALANGA ). THIS WAS CENTRAL PARIS TOO
Lol.. dude ur experience is funny... but u can't conclude... If u experienced that only in Garde de Nord.. then u can not generalize.. If u were in De Lafayette... de Bastille and all the rush crowd in Notre Dame there are little or no black guys in those places... and its pick pocketing galore. U know Garde de Nord has a central metro station, Black thieves in Paris are more in the metro stations... that's there own specialization. Naomi Campbell wouldnt take metro in Paris would she? she wanted to take taxi and of course it must be in one of those high brow streets where the least ppl u'd see are blacks.

As with the restaurant and toilet... well u can experience such anywhere in europe...London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome etc... U just have to be careful u are not going into a crappy restaurant.

..But seriously.. Paris is beautiful.. its bad u really didnt like it
CelebritiesRe: Naomi Campbell Violently Attacked In Paris by Anvaller: 1:04pm On Jan 05, 2013
obadiah777: YOU MAKE NO POINT. IT WAS BLACK MEN WHO ATTACKED HER IN PARIS. EITHER WAY YOU STILL COME OUT LOOKING BAD AS A NATION OF BLACK PEOPLE
Obadiah.. In case u dont know, any one could be a thief in Paris including the native french. Pick pocketing there is a flourishing crime cos there is a lot of rich guys, superstars flocking in and out everyday.. so they are always sure to get valuables in ur bag or wallet if they could snatch it most especially someone like Naomi Campbell... I can say the pickpockets there are even crazier than any experience u might have had in Nigeria.. they are so smart with all the security and the cameras. The thief could be black white or the North Africans or The Arabians. So why do u think they were black? From my personal experience holidaying in Paris, any of these group could be a thief. U will be messing urself BIG TIME if u are watching out only for a black thief.

U don't expect keshi to ommite d name of players dat struggle 4 qualifier and expect him to name dose players dat are 2 big to play qualifiers, or if it was u we u be happy if u av been working 4 sometin since and it comes to where u wanna enjoy it and u were ommited? And dis guys are our future stars or can we still rely on ozase as a striker 4 2014 world cup? D anwser is NO. And if keshi omitte dos strikers who work 4 qualifier next time if dey were called dey won't play wit dere heart again cus dey we believe dat even if dey qualify dey may not pick dem. And u were just underating our squard we have a very gud squard dat can beat any team, our striking force is already complete, wit musa and moses on wing and wit ik uche/ideye/emunike i don't think dere is any team we can't beat. Our defence is only d problem. And am sensing dat Nigeria we suprise every body in dis afcon.
zuchyblink: these are the players that qualified nigeria, defeated liberia by 6 goals to one,and venezuela 3 goals to 1 which i know we have not done for a very long time.
Names don't play soccer, the home base lads have and the new crop of players have made a gr8 difference in the team;they are strong and physical which is suitable for african soccer.
dademola: dunno y dis osaze issue is generating so much controversy. Dis dude is known to b a disruptive element, and keshi was damn right to kick his a.rse out. Some pple say keshi and d NFF is witch-hunting d guy because he's d only one dt is bold enof to speak d truth. Wich yeye truth??osaze dey play for westbrom, and e dey proud. If e cme dey play for man utd or chelsea nko?? We no go hear word again b dat oo!! Hw can a sensible coach invite a player who questions d leadership of a team??as mediocre as west brom is, Can he even try such rubbish der?? I salute keshi for making dis decision
Abeg guys make una help me tell them oo. I don't know the problem with ppl. How would u think u know the players better than the coach that interacts with all of them one on one? How would a coach invite a player who didnt care about the qualifiers that actually worked hard for it? Would we have qualified if most players failed to turn up? How many of the zambians team defending champion are playing in the big clubs? Were they popular stars? did they not win the last AFCON?

A very serious and determined team of average players is better than a team of undetermined and half serious superstars. That is what we saw from the Zambians beating the star studded cote d'ivoire so ppl need to take a chill pill.

Ada Nri1: This is a private matter. Most probably playing "dress up" with mommy. Here you are calling a little girl bad names. Who doesn't wear bikinishuh
So whats even the sense in practicing this privately at home with a kid? Our environment is too polluted with sexx these days to stimulate our kids into it by asking them to do sexy poses in the house and even take a picture of it. And mind u, that outfit is not an underwear, so how would the mother have bought it for the kid only to pose in the corner of their room? I know u know that it has a become a habit mostly in the west (and I think it's creeping in to Nigeria now) to dress kids this way mostly to go camping on a good summer, amusement parks and beaches.

So if u r a mother, be careful what u do with ur daughters before u sexxually intoxicate their minds or pedoph1les come prowling...lol
let them at least grow to be teenagers b4 exploring their sexxuality.

One thing you don't know is that her target Fans group is actually the white folks, if u look at her videos and implications, u would see. It is the white folks that appreciate the foreign Yoruba language she is speaking. She performs in concerts outside Nigeria than within the country.
All these Tiwa and Brymo are just targeting Nigerians/Africans in Africa and diaspora those groups just wanna shake their booties. They don't understand poetry.
SportsRe: Osaze Odemwingie Lashes Out At Keshi And NFF Over AFCON 2013 Exclusion by Anvaller: 5:27pm On Dec 23, 2012
ayusco: I was following osaze's tweets as they were rolling in my first reaction was that of non suprise cos he is the kinda pesin who wears his heart on his sleeve. before I comment on his outburst I think keshi handled the matter badly. He is not just the coach but manager of these players as long as they are in his care. He could hav phoned him and man to man said u r not in my squad for reasons xyz then watever would hav been said woulda stayed btw dem so I think he messed up in that respect. Now to osazes tweets I am huge fan of his so it pains me to write this about him but his tweets came across as that of an arrogant spoilt brat. I think he shld take a good look at himself y its always him having issues with evry single coach. In his tweets he said lagerback didn't play him yet he was one of the first to hail his appointment. Amodu that played u you critized him publicly abt his team selection. With siasia frm wat osaze's tweeted I can only infere that you never gave him his due respect as ur coach hence Him also treating u like a junior player. Now with keshi again the issue of respect u can't b dictating to him who the captain or leaders in the team should be. Its by ur performance n influence that would determine who is a leader. Guys like oliseh yekini finidi earned the right to brag cos frankly speaking his performances for the NT were not earth shattering. Yes he did his bit but compared to martins nsofor even yakubu wey we no like he hasn't done as much as dem to be bragging about. Honestly I can c y keshi left him out cos he brings a lot of negative energy to the dressing room and evry coach worth his salt knws that goin into any competition u need a united front with minimum distraction. I think when the dust settles osaze will regret the tweets he posted
Well u are right but I still do not agree with the part in bold. Keshi called this guy a couple of weeks back and tried to advise him to reconsider playing for eagles but this guy told keshi there and then that he is no more interested in eagles. This story was reported on the papers all over. So I do not think that Keshi owe him any further explanation for not inviting him cos the case was already concluded in that phone call. There was a time I read again a bout few weeks after the phone conversation with Keshi, he made a comment talking about his interest in playing again. Okay that was just a random comment in a random interview, if I was also Keshi, I would maintain my last phone convo with him as my last valid impression of him. Let's now assume that he contacted Keshi privately after he changed his mind, that was too late and unacceptable. U are no bigger than ur home based guys who had been playing their hearts out during the qualifications, U can't now come around in the dead minute and say u want to play? and the coach would now discard one of the hardworking guys for u? C'mon Osaze needs to grow up.

Remember that the bunch Zambian team that are currently defending champions are home based. We do not need to under estimate some of these guys because we don't know them. They had been waiting for their chances and Keshi has given it to them so lets see what happens.

I remember Osaze wasting a lot of balls in our last nations cup just because he was angry that he was called from the bench. That guy is a good player but he is soo selfish and he can not play for any bigger club in the premiership because the coaches out there have also commented on his selfishness so they know he is a selfish player.

2) Prost1tuting is on a next level these days, it's no more measured by who and who u had sex with. U can be a media b1tch like u are well known for (flaunting ur boobz all around to get paid), U can be a cyber prost1tute like "webcamming" and all that and u can be an escort, where u only have sexx with some select few rich guys for a very high charge and so on. No matter which of these is ur area of specialization, its still prost1tuting and nothing else.

So accept the Ashy thing as ur identity cos u deliberately worked hard for that image and now u can't divorce it.
SportsRe: Osaze Odemwingie Lashes Out At Keshi And NFF Over AFCON 2013 Exclusion by Anvaller: 4:27pm On Dec 23, 2012
Ok but this guy declared his lack of interest to further play for eagles a couple of weeks back. Saying the same thing that the NFF is not serious. Fine we know that, he is correct but the problem is he himself is inconsistent. U shouldn't have declared a lack of interest in eagles if u really didn't mean it. Honestly if I was Keshi, there is no way I too would have invited a guy who publicly declared his lack of interest in playing for super eagles so why is he now complaining? This dude must learn to be consistent.
FamilyRe: How To Handle A Child's Tantrum In Public? by Anvaller: 1:16pm On Dec 21, 2012
This shouldn't be a big issue at all. The problem with parents, most especially moms is double standard. You wanna pamper ur child and u want the child to be disciplined at the same time. Well, its possible but parents don't know how to do it in most cases. The main thing is to have basic control over ur child. Ur child must respect ur instructions, Period. Once u focus on training ur child to learn that ur instruction is final, then all other things will be easy for u to handle.

If u are the type that can not afford not to give ur kid whatever he or she wants, believe me, u are not helping urself and the kid at all. Kids must understand that u can not always get what u want. Let them cry if they want, just be consistent, a kid of 2 would get used to it in just a matter of weeks and ur kid would never cry over bullshit anymore. But if u cant break that jinx, well u have to deal with the consequences.

...And remember, it is easier to treat such when they are still babies, because the older they get, the more difficult it becomes.
RomanceRe: Cohabitating Out of Wedlock: A Blessing Or Curse? by Anvaller: 5:24pm On Dec 20, 2012
Cohabit, cohabitation, cohabiting, cohabitant... all these are possible
But cohabitating is impossible

To the main topic, the question should be what is marriage? Marriage is about consent between 2 parties to live together forever and further consent of their parents. Once that is in place, the 2 are married. The fact that u don't see or know when they made a lot of noise, throwing parties and all that can not be sufficient to conclude that a couple living together are only cohabiting and not properly married.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Today Is 2012.2012 by Anvaller: 5:00pm On Dec 20, 2012
To the North Americans, today's date is officially 12/20/2012 and not 20/12/2012

To the Middle Easterners, today's date is officially 7/2/1434 and not 20/12/2012

To the Chinese, today's date is officially 8/??/4710 and not 20/12/2012

Anyone attaching importance to a date is strictly up to that person. It doesn't mean that the date is actually important. It is as important as any other day. People from these places don't have an idea of a special day u are talking about.
HealthRe: Two-Inch Feather Emerges From Baby's Neck by Anvaller: 11:13am On Dec 18, 2012
Lucky girl it didn't happen in Nigeria. The parent would have instead taken her for deliverance at the church where the pastor would immediately say she is possessed and probably beat her to death while trying to slap the devil out of her.
Christianity EtcRe: Should We Start Taking TB Joshua Seriously? by Anvaller: 3:21pm On Dec 16, 2012
1stCitizen: I am not a member of T.B Joshua's church and neither do I have immediate plans to become one. However, his philanthropic deeds compared to the deeds of other Jet owning fleecing gang of thieves parading as General Overseers makes one to remember the short bible verse "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them"

The recent Helicopter crash involving some big shots in the Nigerian political terrain seems to bear striking similarities to the Prophecy below. Given all these, I ask, is it time to start taking this man seriously?
Fail 1) The prophecy was as specific as mentioning a plane crash. This was a helicopter crash and not a plane crash.
Fail 2) They were not up to 9 that died in the crash, they were just 6 out of which 2 were pilot&co pilot
Fail 3) There were only 3 ppl in the crash that were politicians... far from 9-12 prophecy of T.B
Fail 4) He said said they would be coming from a conference or meeting... well these people were coming from a burial ceremony which has in anyway nothing in common with conference or meeting
Fail 5) He said the devil plans to strike if 9-12 politicians boarded the same flight but here, they were just 3 politicians and the devil still struck
Fail 6) He said the solution was for Nigerians to pray and for them not to board the same flight. a) no country prays as hard as Nigeria b) Only 3 out of 12 politicians boarded the flight and still the disaster happened.
Therefore, we would have to either conclude from all these fails that the prophecy is fake and untrue and if we must admit that it is true, then T.B Joshua must be a prophet of doom if all the conditions he laid down for the disaster not to happen was actually in place and the disaster still happened. For these reasons, you better have to stop taking him seriously
